Had a great first time experience try out Joey's marksville!
Food was great had the cheese burger and salad .
The burger was one of the best I've had and salad was great .
A little disappointed that there was no Cesar salad option on the menu.
Not to say the side salad with house dressing wasn't delicious.
The service was great and good atmosphere

Great place to hang out with friends and get good food. During busy times, food can take a while to arrive.

The food isn't the greatest. But it was wine Wednesday. First the fire drill went off - fine whatever it was probably a regularly scheduled test. It was one go of the girls that works at Joey's birthdays so her co workers wanted to make a big deal and had the entire bar serenade her. Which is nice the first time around, ok the second time around. Coming from an HR background I would refer to that as creating a happy work environment, and team building. But after the 3rd, 4th, and 5th time, the screaming and the counter banging got annoying and out of hand. As a paying patron I just started getting annoyed. For employees that work there be mindful of others and don't be annoying.

Obviously an expensive choice, but the food was fantastic. The variety of tastes, from sharp kicks, to mellow rolls, was great. Unfortunately didn't get to try out the drinks, but hoping to do so next time. I would, and am coming again.

Forgot to mention, staff insanely polite and hard working.

.the food doesn't seem to be on par anymore. The staff is still great but something lacking on the food

Despite being super busy the service level never drops. These guys have really good food and they know customer service. The atmosphere is great as well and you will not walk out disappointed at all.

Joey's Markville has evolved significantly in the past few years and is a go-to spot in Markham for a sit down meal with an elegant ambiance.

Their selection of vegetarian meals has grown and it's opened up a lot of options as to what to eat. I appreciate the fact you can switch out chicken with soy chicken for a good portion of the meals, and their veggie burger is a great staple. Their meals are flavourful and there's lots of variety

Service is fantastic as always, our server Kiera was helpful with food and drink options.

Encourage reserving in advance as tables book out at least a week before, otherwise on a typical Saturday night it's a 20-30 minute wait on average.

The hostess service is unacceptable! Expected much better quality of service for the price! Better learn from Earl s or other fine dinning restaurants in DT.

So I don t know if this was done on purpose but 2 of us at our table found a long black hair in our drinks. Gross! One can happen, but 2?? There s a problem!
Some of the dishes were good but portions are so small, I was left hungry and I don t eat that much. I had the steak and sushi; steak was way too salty and the sushi was terrible I couldn t bring myself to finish it.

Good menus. Everything was tasty and well prepared. Staff were great. Go after 9pm to enjoy the happy hour menu.

Food wasn't bad but there were bees everywhere in the patio.

Great place for food and drinks. Came in with a some friends and had a great time. Service was amazing. Our server May was just awesome. Super friendly and knew her stuff. Will be back.

Update:
Went back to Joey's at Markville and my experience was different from my last visit. Made reservations an hour prior and they had the table and space ready for us as soon as we arrived. Micheal our waiter was amazing and very professional. Will be coming more often for sure!

Friend made reservations but one of our reserved tables had been used for another group. Had to wait a bit till they figured out a solution. Overall they were able to provide reasonable tables.

One of the best services I have had in a while. Thank you Nelany for making it so memorable! I made reservations, arrived 30 mins earlier and they were able to seat me right away. Nelany was superb! Took my order, returned multiple times to make sure everything was perfect. She was personable, pleasant and just by being present, she made my experience so much more enjoyable.

It was still happy hour when I got there so my friend and I ordered a bunch of stuff to share. Nelany suggested splitting the tuna poke bowl in 2, so it was easier for us to share!

Food tasted great, however the lettuce wrap was on the salty side and the poke bowl was a little over dressed to my liking, but it was tasty.

Now that I know they have daily happy hour, I'd definitely come back more often and I would even ask to sit in Nelany's section, she was honestly that great.

A group of friends and myself came to Joeys for a few drinks before our close friend flew back to British Columbia the next day. I come to Joeys quite regularly and I have gotten slow service but this was the SLOWEST I have EVER experienced. Drinks took 20-30 minutes and on top of that she forgot not ONE of my friends drinks but BOTH of them and instead of getting them right away took a whole 10+ minutes to get them (I was counting). At most restaurants drinks come before the food, and I received my steak frites before my drink made it to the table. At some points we could see our drinks sitting at the bar for up to 15 minutes before our server brought them to the table. At 9:37, 3 of my friends asked for their bill. At 10 we still didn t recieve anything. One friend asked again for the bill. The first bill didn t come until 10:20.. WITH 18% gratuity already added to the bill. We waited so long that my friend who also works in a restaurant had to physically get out of his seat to ask the server what s going on and spent 10 minutes helping her to print and sort out the bills and finally the other two came at 11, with 18% gratuity which one of my friends refused to pay. Mind you food service was good and tasted great (cheers to the kitchen). BUT drink service was the most horrifying thing I ve ever experienced. And to add we had to ask for napkins to wipe down OUR OWN TABLE. I like Joeys but you guys really need to work on your service ESPECIALLY if your going to charge 18% gratuity on your customers bills. NOBODY CARES IF THE SERVER IS GOOD LOOKING I JUST WANT GOOD SERVICE.

Great service, fair prices for dinner. Happy hour pricing is awesome, pretty much all I come here for. Their happy hour says 10:00 on the website but waitress told us it starts at 9:00. Guess they don't update their website frequently enough. There's always a line up after 9:00 though.
