I was in Galveston on business last January and did not have time to eat at Joes CS like I wanted to. I was back in Houston today (June 22, 2018) and had some time after work before my flight left so I drove 45 min down to Galveston to eat at Joe's. I was seated around 5:35 pm in the booths near bar at front door. Only one other couple was seated in this booth section. There was no line at the front door nor anyone waiting to be seated. Great!, I thought...I beat the dinner rush. I waited 10-12 min before anyone even came to my table. I ordered a pina colada and it arrived around 10 mins later. 20-25 min after being seated I got my drink. I only had 30 min left before I had to leave so ordering any food was out of the question at this point. I asked for my drink check and waiter said he would be back. Music was playing and suddenly the crew came out on the floor clapping and dancing a group slide number. Another 5 mins go by. At this point I'm upset. A "manager" came by and asked how things were. I told him and asked for my check. He offered take out food but I did not want to wait any longer. Finally waiter came with my check. I left my $7 bucks and drink half finished on the table and walked out 35-40 mins after I arrived. Let the front door staff know but they seemed uninterested. Based on other reviews here this seems to be an ongoing problem which tells me they need new management. So much for a long awaited seafood meal on the beach. What a let down. I won't be back.
