For the price, the thanksgiving buffet was pretty underwhelming. A little on the bland side and not a whole lot of help as the staff was pretty small for the amount of people there.
LOVE this place!! A great value for families and couples to use the orchard! The restaurant is great and you'll get your belly full and have more food to take home. Don't forget to visit the winery!
Always a great experience getting our pumpkins from the pumpkin patch. The staff are always nice and swift.
The food and service was excellent. We will be back.
Was not as good as before the food was not tasty. What happened
This place is very family friendly and also had very good ice cream :-)
The best local place for farm goods. Prices are decent, not great. However apsomshere is worth every penny.
I've been visiting Hubers Family farm since I was a kid. I still have a great experience everytime, now I get to share it with my Daughters.
Awesome food and awesome service the place is clean and its got clean air and its out in the country
Nice get together with my company picnic. Food was Good.
Family tradition. Weather didn't allow us to go on a hayride or pick pumpkins, but dinner was delicious (and it was packed!) as usual!
Great fish dinner! fantastic service! A must visit. You won't disappointed.
The fried chicken did not taste fresh. It was tough and rubbery. Green beans must have been served right from the can...no seasoning at all. The place was not at all busy, took a long while for the food to be served.
The hostess who seated us was not at all friendly. Our server was a nice young lady and did a good job.
We went for the fall activities. The kids had a fun time! The gift shop was nice room we grabbed old fashioned sodas before heading out. We ordered chicken and dumplings to go. Price was excellent!
My wife and I like to come every year and pick out our own pumpkins. If you get there right around when they open, there is never a wait and you can come and go from the patch with ease. The farmers market also has a lot of great deals and I usually pick up some honey crisp apples while we are there. Definitely recommend.
Have gone last 2 yrs, always great fun feeding the ducks and fish, the ice cream shop is amazing as well as buffet great family outting to spend the day :-)
Great food. Beautiful place. I love coming out at least once a year.
Can't really say I was wowed by this place. My wife and I walked in to the front desk, the lady behind the desk was on a personal phone call and never acknowledged us. The menu was pricy, portions were decent and the food was okay.
I'm a little mixed on my review. The farm/restaurant did a great job of posting signs and making people very aware of their policies regarding Covid but guest's didn't seem to care. Outside where your allowed to drink wine pitchers, nobody had masks on and there definitely was NOT 6 feet in between anyone. Everywhere was extremely crowded, hardly anyone was wearing a mask or if they were it was improper. The pumpkins looked very sick this year which was saddening since it was the girls first trip. We visited the gift shops, restaurant and U pick farm. There was no divider up in front of the cashiers, no hand sanitizer anywhere and there was only 4 stalls in the bathroom (the line was out the main entrance for the women's). The last few years the trees have been sickly as well and definitely not the quality I remember. The kids had more fun on the playground area than anything else and weren't fans of the food.
My wife and I visited your winery and restaurant Aug 4,2013. The winery was above all expectations. The restaurant was a big disappointment. It has been about 2 years since we've been there. My meal should have been sent back. Every bite of the country fried steak was so tough I had a hard time cutting it with a steak knife. Overall rating, a 3 out of 10. My wife wanted the pork chops and corn on the cop, they were out of both. We were there about 4pm. Her whole meal was alright, but not even good. The overall quality of the food was a 3 out of 10. We were very disappointed and will never be back to eat there again.
Lunch was awesome. The biscuits/donuts reminded me of my childhood. And the market next door had so many goodies to choose from. Ended up with honey crisp apples and apple butter.
Beautiful place with fun options for the entire family. Restaurant, wine tastings and tours, concerts etc
Good chicken, very good service but no craft beers!
It was a very delightful experience we enjoyed our food very much and the hospitality was great..
Great place to have a kids party. Good pizza and fun had by parents and adults!
Need I say more? My husband walked away with a trophy on Father's day. The 2 hr line I waited in for food though that was high priced and handed to us cold, soggy wet fries and not even all of them for $30.00 Nope. I wont eat there again. But I didn't get to go in it was to packed. So I would probably give the inside restaurant a shot when it is not a big event day.
Prices now are over price you have to pay for a voulcher for each person and still pay for your fruit/vegetables after too it used to be just pay for your fruits/vegetables and also some of the employees at the registers were really rude they kept looking at me and my family up and down and I did not appreciate that
Good food and service was excellent. Also visited the winery and enjoyed a few of the wines.
Had some of the best fried chicken today and their chicken livers were off the chain! Excellent food and very large servings. Highly recommend it!
A wonderful all day family adventure with great food
Great family farm to table experience. Dinner is served family style and well prepared.
Best food and great service and very fun for the family.
My mom And I went to Hubers family farm & restaurant because we hadn't been in a while . The food was of poor quality and the service wasn't much better . We were disappointed how much is had gone down hill .
Nice meal except for the green beans (Allen's straight from the can with no seasoning) to celebrate Valentine's day. Live music was advertised but "he didn't show up" was the only answer to our inquiry. A little let down.
A great place for an evening out. Plenty for the kids to do. A great winery for the adults to explore. Acres of beautiful land to wander over. Plan to spend several hours. The restaurant is excellent as always, who can pass up fried biscuits and apple butter?
Chicken could have been seasoned a little more Green beans should have been hot and service could have been a whole lot better.
We went on Thanksgiving because we had heard a lot of good things about the restaurant in the past but we never had an opportunity to go.
However, when we got there, our server kept forgetting to bring us things that she said she was going to bring, if she even remembered us at all. They ran out of pumpkin pie, denying my wife and MiL their traditional desert and some of the items just tasted bland (i.e. the slaw.)
For the drive and the cost, there are better options in Louisville. I was terribly disappointed with this.
The food is enjoyable. However the service was over all rude. Our family order 4 family meals that come with chicken ham and sides. They only bring one meal's worth of side at a time because of space on the tables which is understandable, After eating the sides fpr 1 meal our family was ready to leave. We proceeded to ask for the sides for the additional 3 meals we purchased to go and were told that we were npt allowed to take those to go by one of the owners. We were not* told about this before* we bought and got our ticket for 4 meals. We ended up payeing for 4 full meals and only getting 1. $80 plus for food that we didn't get. Absolutely a cheat and aweful experience. I will npt be dining here again because the owners obviously value money more than decent customer service. Disapointing and outrageouse for a family restaurant.
Great family-owned place beautiful Winery great for families and events
I hope whoever buys it is better at managing it and values customer service. The problem with Huber's is they've allowed their service to become atrocious, while continuing to raise prices. They get away with it because it's the only place in the area like this and people who have visitied since they were children continue to go because of the nostalgia. We were there on Sunday, it was an absolute zoo. I've been going there for 25 years and have never seen it this chaotic. When you walk into the restaurant you're greeted by a very rude older woman who directs you to "barn 1 or barn 2" for the buffet as the restaurant is full. We walked over to Barn 1, waiting in a 20 min line only to be told "this is now reservations only"...walked over to barn 2 which had a 30-40 min line. Their buffet isn't worth the wait or the $22 it costs. People were leaving the buffet complaining about how they kept running out of food and were not discounted. Poor communication between staff translated to terrible customer service. I allowed my kids to play for a bit on the playground then we left and ate elsewhere and got pumpkins from Kroger. We won't be returning.
A little on the pricey side but good old fashion family style meal, great place to visit when family is in town.
This is the place you go to when mom is gone, all the best home cooking! Wonderful staff and beautiful views :)
The portions have increased over what it went down to before it's closing. The country dinners all I can say is bring your appetite.
Fried chicken was flavorful and moist. Chicken and dumplings was tasty although a bit on the watery side. Mashed potatoes were very good with lumps and tasty gravy. Fried biscuits and Applebutter are outstanding and are a compliment to the meal. At $20 I thought it was a bit on the high side pricewise but worth the drive.
The g...waitress spilled ot food...fogot cottage cheese & sour cream..finally brought cottage cheese!... Still forgot sour cream...finally brought sour cream....now baked potato was ice cold!
Food was good but very pricey. We ate the buffet, and the dishes were almost always just about empty. Some were not filled promptly so we did not even get to try some of the food. My first trip there and will not go back.
Usually we have great food. Today however was not up to par. Our food came to the table luke warm and with the restaurant being as cold as it was, our food was cold in minutes. After we left the restaurant my husband told me there was a hair in the mashed potatoes. Had he told me while we were there I would have complained. Normally the food and temperature is great and we have never had an issue. Service was great and we had a party of 18.
Great place to spend time with family. Buffet is a little pricey but it was good. Love picking pumpkins in the pumpkin patch!
Good food and desserts. Country ham sandwich was skimpy for 12.99 but homemade chips were great
Excellent food, good service. Wonderful place to spend an afternoon.
Great food. We have had our company picnic hear every year for the last 20 years
Great place to take the Family, wonderful food and the service is Great. Would highly recommend for anyone to visit.
Overall was nice. The gift shop at this side is more affordable than the winery's gift shop. The restaurant was a little on the expensive side. Chicken tenders were 15.99 with two sides but tasted good.
Its an experience worth having if you have children that will enjoy it. Its about family time!
$$ Family style buffet at $22 a person. Food was fair, not great, but not terrible. In my opinion, not worth it.
I just was so excited to enjoy my dinner at your establishment when I was met with a waiter that was not prepared to be on the floor yet (NO greet, NO real service at all to speak of) My steak was cooked well when I ordered medium rare. When I received my new steak it was still mooing but just boxed it up to re cook at home. Manager was not very understanding of the issue other than saying the waiter was new and was not ready to be on the floor yet in this busy time of the year. My meal was still full price when I waited nearly 40 mins for my food to be cooked correctly. THEN My card was ran for the wrong amount and overcharged. I then received notice that I was not able to get a voided copy of the check because they could not void it but they would simply just let it sit till it would fall off so it was going to hold the money on my account for a undermanned amount of time. The service was well under par with what I would think a well respected family restaurant would provide.
This was our first time here. The food was good. Not great. But ok. I had the fried cod. There were two big pieces. There was a lot of breading so that it was hard to tell there was any fish inside. Very thin slice. My husband got the half chicken. It was okay but we like KFC better. It was too pricey which will keep us from going back. I kind of had sticker shock. It would be nice to have smaller offerings with a lower price as an option. The quarter chicken was a little less but still pricey. The cole slaw was on the dry side. It tasted sweet like it had sugar sprinkled on it but otherwise no evidence of a dressing for it. We did have a nice table by the window with a view of the lake.
Drove from north of Cincinnati for a day trip and lunch. Very, very disappointing and not at all like it used to be. Green beans, potatoes and chicken barely lukewarm. Ham very dry. Chicken and dumplings had not even one piece of chicken. Only things good were the biscuits.
Some of the best fried chicken. No frills but great comfort food. Out in the country but is well worth the drive. Winery down the road. U-pick 'em farm produce, depending on season.
Great place to for pumpkins and apple butter! Had a blast on the tractor ride to the pumpkin patch!!
