This place is great!!! Classic lobster roll deliciousness. Lobster bisque is awesome!! The owner is incredibly friendly and definitely makes you feel like a friend. Will come back every chance I get!!
Closest I've come to a real Maine lobster roll, worth every penny! The coleslaw was awesome as well! Just wish I lived closer so I could go back for more!

The Maine Lobster Roll Co. is a newcomer to Wilmington, bringing their specialty sandwich flavors & combinations from The Pine Tree State to The Port City. Since I am a huge fan of lobster and was craving a hearty lunch, I pulled up to The Maine Lobster Roll Co. What is appealing about this quaint spot in the center of a small strip mall, is that it could easily disguise itself as a physician's or optometrist's office if it weren't for the text on the signage! Lol
SERVICE: When I arrived, I called and placed my curbside pickup order. I had the privelage of meeting the restaurant owner, Bill, who had a wonderful personality and carried himself as a small business owner who truly cares about pleasing the community's palates. Not only was he the General of each order coming in, he was doing legwork, delivering and greeting customers outside, personally. Multiple vehicles were lined up, waiting for their authentic, northeastern seafood delicacies from this hole-in-the-wall so you know they're doing things right. The wait was acceptable, food was delivered with a smile and everything was logistically organized! SCORE: 5 STARS!!
OVERALL SCORE: Maine Lobster Roll Co. is gaining some serious notoriety in the Port City, and now I see why. This place means Lobstah and you will see once you try one of their specialty rolls! 4.7 STARS!!

I wish my meal had looked like the pictures on here. For a $13 lunch I would expect not to be hungry after. What I did eat wasn't horrible but wasn't wow either. 3 tablespoons of meet with just a touch of mayo and no seasonings I could taste all on a split top hotdog bun. Yes I know "You don't want to lose the flavor of the lobster". Well it also shouldn't taste like nothing. Maybe I'm too southern and like more flavor than most. I won't be going back.
This place is awesome. The owners are true Mainers and clearly love the cuisine of their home state.
The sandwich buns are smaller, but the servings of lobster are generous and the ingredients are incredibly fresh. We have only ever had the Stonington, and it s hard to get away from this sandwich because the lobster by itself is so good with the butter.
Also, Whoopie Pies are a must. This Maine speciality is described by the owners as heaven and we totally see where that comes from.
We tried to take pictures, but the food was so good that it was gone before I remembered. All that was left was this Whoopie Pie wrapped.
Also, for COVID-19 precautions, pickup was safe. Staff was wearing A mask and put on a new set of gloves to drop our food off outside the shop. This was so appreciated
Absolutely amazing, perfect lobster rolls! We tried the Stonington and the BLT and both were delicious! Lobster is fresh and cooked to perfection, and the rolls are perfectly toasted. Definitely recommend trying this place out! You're going to pay for the quality of the ingredients, but who wants a cheap lobster roll? Not us! Four thumbs up!
If lobster is the star, why don't you have a a true lobster bisque? Very disappointed as I've not had even a good lobster bisque since visiting Cape Cod. I don't want a seafood medly bisque. For gosh sakes, you're name is Maine Lobster!!!! Will not be back unless I see that changed on your menu. UPDATE Feb 6th, I will try your lobster bisque soon. Thank you for listening. I am also changing 3 to now 5 stars for customer service and will do another review after my eating the Lobster bisque.
We ordered a 5 pack lobster roll from here. We have had many lobster rolls but this was without a doubt the best we had ever tasted! It was full of large chunks and the claw of the lobster. Roll and mayo mixture made it perfectly complete! Thank you for the absolutely yummy experience!
Good. They also have PB&J, BLT, or a Grilled Cheese Sandwich for the kiddos (or someone who is not a seafood eater. Soup is also good!

This is the best Maine lobster roll I have ever eat. If you have not been there it s well worth the drive. I live in the porter's neck area and I have driven over there five times just to get me and my girlfriend 4 rolls.

First time today for lunch! Very nice! Actual Lobster chunks, not shredded so small to know if you re getting lobster or not! Real chunks of lobster throughout. A little pricey, but lobster is expensive!

Very enjoyable very tasty rolls. The only complaint I have about this place is the sodas are 16 ounce drinks and not bigger lol. The bisque was nice and creamy and full of flavor. And the lobster roll was very buttery.
Went today to Maine Lobster Rolls . Delicious authentic and full of lobster meat . So good that my husband had a second one .. We will be back. Owners are very nice people .

Not the best size rolls for the amount of lobster and I also found a sharp piece of shell in my roll luckily before I bit down on it. All n all the people and service are outstanding and I would return if these issues were fixed

This is Lobster! Lobster rolls four ways or a Fluffernutter for the Seafood apposed. This is a small shop with big favor. The rolls we're well toasted and filled to your level of preference (half, whole, hearty). The rest of the menu is simple because the Lobster is the star. If you are in Monkey Junction, check it out. If you aren't, drive on down, it's worth it.
This place is fantastic! The lobster was delectable, oh my gosh it was so good! The restaurant is super clean and the tables/chairs were spotless. I definitely would recommend this place. You NEED to try it! Great atmosphere, great food, great experience. They won me as a customer for sure.
Y'all!! If you are looking for the best lobster roll in town, PLEASE check this place out. The flavor is so fresh and so tasty and the portions are incredible. We ordered the Stonington (served warm) and it was OVERFLOWING with lobster. We also ordered the lobster bisque bread bowl and it certainly did not disappoint!! Even the coleslaw here is amazing. Since it was curbside pick up, they put the bisque on the side which was a nice touch so the bread didn't get all soggy while we were driving home. The service was quick and friendly. We can't wait to go back!!
I was not impressed with Maine Lobster. I ordered the the whole Marinch roll. To begin with the roll was approximately 4 inch long. If this is the whole the half must have been 2 inches. Secondly the roll had no flavor. I had to add salt and pepper just to give the sandwich some flavor.
I have been to Maine and had fresh lobster rolls. Also the price was ridiculous. $20 for a 4 inch sandwich is ridiculous. This is not a place I will visit again.
Update: The owner responded with the comment implying I did not pay $20 for my sandwich. Therefore I am attaching a receipt showing I did in fact pay $20 + for my sandwich.
I absolutely love everything I have tried here. The lobster rolls are overflowing with sweet delicious lobster. The bisque is so good and with a kicker of lobster even better. My children are in love with fluffernutter sandwiches.

OMG these lobster rolls are ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! We're going back tomorrow before traveling back to Charlotte. Billy & Savannah provided EXCELLENT customer service. Savannah was very friendly, knowledgeable & helpful when taking my order over the phone (and very patient as this was my first having a lobster roll...I was so clueless lol). And Billy was very friendly and personable when bringing the food to our car. I also LOVE that this establishment is trying to keep their customers & themselves safe from COVID 19 by wearing mask & providing curbside.

On my way home from a trip to Raleigh I decided to (finally) check out MLRCo and surprise my wife with lobster rolls instead of stopping at exit 264 and grabbing fast food for myself; Glad I did! Growing up in the '60s & '70s we always vacationed in Maine visiting family and whole steamed lobster feasts at New Harbor Co-Op or similar were always a part of the deal. 1996 after we met were both were there on vacation and my wife found out she loved lobster too
Ordered both Stonington & Mainah (thought she might like the mayo but unsure; I knew I wanted butter!) requested them both cut in half so we could try each. Texted her with "Hope you're hungry" Reply "why did you hit a deer?" lol. Found out she'd never had a lobster roll and they were all devoured within minutes! We both preferred the Stonington but that in no way detracts from the Mainah; just our preference.
The price... well look at menus from Red's Eats in Wiscasset ME (Often voted best lobster roll in ME) or similar and it's not out of line especially given the cost to get fresh lobster 1,000 miles away.

Great lobster roll and New England Clam Chowder! The lobster was fresh and cooked to perfection. I definitely recommend a visit here if you like lobster.
We just had Lobster on a Stick and as usual, it was awesome! Don't need the roll, just a tasty and beautiful hunk of fresh lobster tail meat on a stick with lemon and butter, yum! And by the way, they also make the best cole slaw around. Who knows what kind of lobster treat Bill will think of next weekend!
10/10 highly recommended! First time trying and my girlfriend and I are very impressed. We got the hearty stonington lobster roll with a cup of clam chowder and lobster bisque. The lobster roll was maxed out with lobster and it was very tender. The soups were also very good as well. We will definitely be coming back soon. Ate lunch today at The Maine Lobster Roll Company with my wife and we both loved it. Lobster was fresh and delicious and we were pleasantly surprised with the lobster bisque which is the best i have had in Wilmington. The 1/2 roll was a perfect size for each of us and with the coleslaw and chips we were full. Will definitely go again.

We were patiently waiting for the opening, and boy, was the wait worth it! The owner and employees were so friendly and informative. The lobster roll was absolutely delicious and just the right portion for lunch. My husband had a cup of chowder that was made the way it is supposed to me...not a gelatinous glob! Food is simple, fresh and...whoa, it is lunchtime, so I am headed there now to pick up more! Recommend it.

Spectacular. After living in New England for many years and making hops into Kennebunkport for their Lobster Rolls, these are the real deal. Been there twice in two days. Simple and straightforward. Yep, it's real lobster that came off the dock yesterday from 1,000 miles away. The only thing I'd change is add a lighthouse, tables outside, and a bunch of seagulls.
If I could give this place 100 stars I would. I'm not one for leaving reviews but I think everyone needs to know how awesome an experience I had here. The food is simple and wicked good, the owners are incredibly friendly, and my entire experience was worth mentioning. The dining is simple just like the Maine way is. We ordered dinner for the first time tonight and it was incredible! Two of us shared half sizes of the Stonington and the Portland and the lobster was sweet, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. There was plenty of good-sized chunks of meat on even the smallest size rolls. We also ordered a bowl of the lobster bisque, which was creamy and delicious, not too salty, and had a good lobster flavor. Can't wait to order their lobster rolls again! Thanks for a great dinner!
