Been here several times. The fried chicken is excellent. The fried country ham sandwich was too pricey and fatty. The country slaw is good. I wish they would update the menu and the restaurant interior. Outdated, looking old. Service is always good.
Great u-pick farm with an old fashion soda fountain, produce store, restaurant, petty zoo, winery, etc. Fun for the entire family.
I love this place! My family goes every year! They are always adding new things. Family style eating! The best country food, home made ice cream, and fresh doughnuts! Pumpkin doughnuts! Plus all the fun things to do. Fun for the whole family.
Mike is honest and has done a great job on our vehicles.
I love the fried cod fish, the green beans, and the bread.and the waitresses they are so friendly.and the ice cream is the best home made ice cream.
We had 5 people party today Food and Service Very Good!!
I really enjoyed myself with my family. Everything was beautiful celebrating the reason for Easter. Grand children had fun finding Easter eggs at the hunt. For the folks that has never been to this establishment, please try to go for yourselves to see. Thanks again. God Bless. Love
We went for father's day although the menu was good it was limited. Service was very good and always pleasant place to go and spend time with family.
I am so pleased to see that the jewel was saved. Our Visit to the restraunt wasn't all that it could be the staff (in restraunt only) did not seem to be focused our server was more interested in talking with farm workers she knew 2 tables over having their lunch (which they were not doing anything wrong) the pricing VS food amount was VERY expensive they seemed to lack direction and focus.
On A good note we visited the other shops and purchased many items Ice Cream and staff was FANTASTIC,Bakery on point smelled and tasted wonderful, farmers market always amazing I would of hands down gave Hubers A 5 star rating as they have always been but the New Ownership may want to take A look the hostess wasn't even standing she was just seated and looked like she didn't even want to be there. Some small changes it would be at its historical glory.
Good restaurant, other items from store/gift shop and pumpkins are really overpriced. Corn maze is a fun family activity for sure!
Pretty awesome place actually. Most activities are more for younger kids and family activities but they do have a wine tasting which is pretty good. The shops are great, their ice cream is a must. The market has a really good selection but you pay a little more for that "farm fresh" I don't think worth it but personal opinion. The restaurant was okay. Food was pretty decent dinner style food. Prices were a little high though. Overall I would say worth at least one visit but farmers market or Paul's is better for the shopping aspect.
Another covid breeding grounds. Really not a safe place
Came there with my family for our last family gathering before the covid-19 shutdown.
Great apples and great apple donuts. Fun to hunt for the perfect pumpkin.
We had a wonderful time. The waitress Sarah was so nice
Homestyle cooking what more can you ask for. No frills almost picnic table style seating. Food and service were great.
Been a favorite since I could even walk. You need to go there if you haven't been. Lots to do for everyone especially in Fall. Get their apple butter on their amazing rolls. It is outstanding.
Nice restaurant general store ice cream shop and active area for children good food
It was a beautiful day! Lovely landscapes but the customer service was severely lacking.
I went inside to ask for a refill on my drink. The girl at the counter refused to help me but sent me to the Pick up service on the side of the building.
I walked clear around the building and asked the server at the side window for a refills for diet Coke and she said that would be 50 cents. So I pulled out my credit card and handed it to her.
She took my card and walked out of the room out with my credit card which was out of my sight!.
She came back and said it's really busy would I like a 2.00 Coke. I said, no thanks, just a refill. She said well how about tea. I'm Said no thank you. I wanted a diet Coke.
Stand still......she just got stone cold quiet.....stubbornly staring at me ......again the second cashier refused to give me a diet Coke refill.
So I left very very very thirsty and a bit irritated because it would be a long drive home.
Wonderful place to visit any time of year. Great food, wonderful gift shop, and the most welcoming atmosphere.
Superb place for entertainment for kids or adults. Great food too.
The smell of the chicken before you ever entered the door is so overwhelming that you have to get the chicken. It truly was juicy and Delicious. We will definitely go there again
Service was great! Friendly staff. Loved the fitters with apple butter! Fun to eat dessert first! The rest of the food was just ok.
I have eaten at Joe Huber s restaurant faithfully most of my life. There food still lives up to the standards of it s reputation when the Huber family owned the restaurant. However, I have yet to receive a good fried chicken salad since ownership has changed. We use to get cucumbers, radishes, carrots, etc. Tonight we paid $28 for an Iceberg lettuce bag salad mix, 4 tomato slices, a little cheese and the chicken. We also ordered Italian dressing which we did not get. This is not the first time we have received it this way..New management needs to learn what it takes to satisfy those of us who grew up looking forward to eating at this restaurant.
The restaurant isn t worth the money or the drive up there from Louisville. It really used to be good home cooking. Now the only thing worth eating is the fried chicken. The chicken & dumplings I can get a lot cheaper at any grocery store buying Sweet Sue brand and heating them up at home! The green beans were
served cold and still tasted of the large cans they come in from Sysco Foods or whatever company they use. The gravy was also luke warm and tasted of a watered down mix. The mashed potatoes would have been good if served warmer. The chicken livers were bitter and tasted freezer burned. All together the $54 tab for three adults was a complete waste of
money. It s sad to see such a good restaurant go downhill. If this is the quality of food that s going to be served perhaps the place should be. auctioned off. Maybe the new owners will be able to serve food that makes it worth the drive and money once again.
Pricey, food not hot and waitress was the worst I have ever seen. Reservation for 1 PM but seated 30 minutes later and did not get drinks till c2 PM
Very nice. Good for fruits picking as per season. Very fresh from the store as well.
Always a delight...their fried chicken is very delicious and always very special. If fact everything on the menu is special..you can't go wrong.
Ok food decent price. Great for family style dinner for large groups
We went last year to this place for the first time. It was so good we went back again this year too. Great food & friendly people. Be sure to drive over to the winery area too!
Try the Joe's To Go if you don't want to go inside. Perfect option for take out!
My family came to visit in July 2015, and we stopped at Huber Farm & Restaurant on a Monday. We had a great time, especially since we weren't fighting the crowds. We ate at the restaurant first and really enjoyed the food. The green beans and dumplings were a bit of a disappointment, but the fried chicken, cucumber salad, fried zucchini, and squash were awesome. The total cost was reasonable for a group of four people (split large platters) as well...we had a bunch of leftovers! After eating, we went to pick blueberries, blackberries, and peaches. The fresh fruit was delicious, and we had a great experience together as well. To finish off our trip, we ate dessert at the ice cream shoppe and grabbed some wine. Our trip was definitely deserving of 5 stars! I highly recommend visiting Huber Farm & Restaurant!
I always remember this place forever in my life. You must visit this at least ones every year. It s definitely a picnic experience for me and my family. My daughter enjoyed too much here. Very big restaurant. Free trip to farm in a tractor. Apple picking , strawberry picking, pumpkin pickup you will enjoy too much. Free parking.
Nine of us went to the Huber's Family on 9-26-2014. After looking at the menu and discussing it with the waiter ,three couples decided to order the $18.00 chicken meal and split it with our partner, the threesome also ordered two $18.00 meals to split among the three. We were told there would be enough food for two people etc. When the food arrived, instead of each twosome and 1 threesome getting individual meals the food was in separate bowls to be passed around. When the bowls were [passed around and the people each took a moderate amount of food there was none or very little food for the last two people, and when the other sides were passed the other way the last two people on that side got very little food...when the check arrived the charge was $18.00 plus $3.00 extra plate charges plus included tip...total $30.30 for each couple and $55.00 for the threesome. The food was good but the system used was not explained and we did not get a fair portion of food . I have been going to Hube'rs each year but will probably not eat there again. It was very disappointing to all of us
Had a great time picking and pumpkins. My family loved it.
Great down home cooking, friendly staff and amazing atmosphere. Plus it's conveniently located close to the winery.
Nice place to spend an afternoon with family or out on a date. Makes me reminisce about childhood. The country store and restaurant has great variety!
I go to Huber farms every year with my family my son loves it it's a lot of fun , great food, great family fun a lot to do and enjoy I highly recommend going
Had lunch and it was really good. Can hardly wait to go again. Landscape was also beautiful.
Wonderful place, there is a lot to do at Hubers and it is a great family oriented place to visit.
My family loves coming here. We always eat the buffet in the barn and it is wonderful. Kid's love the pumpkins patchs in the fall.
My first time going to Hubers i had a wonderful time! I cant wait to go back
The food here was good nothing crazy delicious about it, just country cooking. I also wasn't happy that we had reservations and we waited nearly an hour past our scheduled time. When I went to the lady she tried to blame us saying she called our name twice and she hadn't. We had been standing next to her the entire time, had she said it name at least one of us would have heard it.
Had an Absolutely fantastic time. There was plenty to do for the entire family.
Great place to visit. I definitely enjoy the farm. We ordered the fried fish meal (out doors). The fish was worth the 25 minute wait. The 4 Large pieces would have been adequate for an adult meal (maybe not a grown teenager) but, caloriewise, it was proptional to a meal in a 2000/2500 calorie day. The biscuits and sides were more than enough to round out the meal.
If one was going to do a calorie splurge, I would recommend the tartar over the cocktail sauce. It cocktail sauce was frozen/congealed. I would also ask for more butter for the potatoes and forego the gravy.
But those of us who eat at the restaurant are likely here for the biscuits and apple butter...so everything else is just so there is variety on one's plate
The bag of apples we purchased were 80 percent bruised and soft.
Great day at lunch with family. Good service and food.
Love Huber's. Our dinner was outstanding! Everything was delivered steaming hot. We had the family style meal topped off with a visit to the wine shop. Beautiful farm.
