Extremely negative experience: unauthorized charges and complete lack of support

I subscribed to a Premium membership with JobLeads and canceled it on December 21, 2024, the same day I first accessed the platform, as confirmed by their own email.

Despite this, they continued to charge unauthorized monthly amounts, totaling over 805 SAR + 22 euros (approximately 223 euros).

I wrote to customer service multiple times, but no one actually handled the situation. There was no verification regarding the fact that I never used their site nor activated any service after the cancellation.

As if that weren’t enough, in March, in addition to the subscription amount, two more charges of around 20 euros each were taken from my account, on March 21 and March 25, without any explanation or authorization.

I feel compelled to say that this is a seriously dishonest and non-transparent business practice, bordering on fraudulent behavior. I am proceeding with complaints to consumer protection authorities. I strongly advise against using JobLeads to anyone looking for a reliable and trustworthy service.

Deludente

Fate attenzione!

Abbonamenti e servizi a pagamento?

Evitateli a tutti i costi!

TRUFFA LEGALIZZATA

I was signed up to their premium membership without being aware of this and only realised when I got charged $75!!! I have been unemployed for a while and currently really struggling with the money, barely have enough to buy food and on the last month of my rent so I asked for a refund bc this is a 3 week grocery budget for me atm and I absolutely cannot afford to use the last little bit of the money I have on something I never even used and have no use for. I explained this to them and they first completely refused, then offered me 30% refund only if I was to provide proof of financial distress!!! I am absolutely disgusted with them!! You want me to send my personal details and my financial situation to some awful ppl online so I can get a $20 refund for a service I never signed up for and never even used?? DISGUSTING! The have 0 morals and are the worst company I have ever encountered preying on the vulnerable ppl who are already struggling financially when claiming they are here to help ppl get jobs!!! I will be making sure that their company as well as their ceo gets a great online exposure and their name and what awful things they do is all over the internet. Thank god for TikTok and viral videos finally shaming these horrible companies!!! STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!!!

Unfortunately, as many others, I fell for the trap and paid for a "Professional Growth CV Writing Package" (rewriting my cover letter and CV). The idea is that they match you with a professional CV writer who is knowledgeable about your area or profession. After sending my cover letter and CV for re-writing, what I received was of much poorer quality than what I initially sent. It was clear the writer didn't have any knowledge of my area of expertise whatsoever. The cover letter was also so poorly written. Neither of the documents enhanced my expertise and he even omitted my highest-ranking position and decided to list it under "additional experiences". On top of that, he included a photograph and personal details such as gender, civil status and nationality!! How does a professional CV writer not know this is so outdated and totally unnecessary?? The summary was extremely long, and didn't reflect my expertise "in a nutshell".

The service promises expert CV writers and knowledgeable about your professional area, and what I have received has been a high school level CV.

Very sketchy. I cancelled a trial subscription on the last day but apparently too late in the day. They refuse to refund the automatic debit for another month of their so-so service. Even after they deducted the funds, they sent me a "pay up now" notice. Not classy and totally unprofessional.

Be really careful as they offer some service and then make you pay a lot more than expected and without any alert or clear, safe and sound alert. I asked for 2,99 euros to have my resume checked. They have written a confirmation in which they stated that after a certain period of time, they will be invoice me with 69,99 euros. A certain period of time is 14 days I discovered as they have silently picked the 69,99 euros from my PayPal account. Useless and utterly awkward

I signed up for Jobleads, paid €2.99 to supposedly have access to job offers as a premium member and in fact the offers were the same. My luck is that I used a prepaid credit card and as such they cannot withdraw money from me. However, I have already received 3 warning emails to pay and the amount is already €74 and they threaten with a collection company. I don't know what to do, whether to ignore these warnings or not.

You are engaged with an email offering a 2-week trial service for 2.99 euros, at which point the unfortunate person enters their credit card details and them at the end of the trial period instead of asking for authorization for the continuation of the service they charge directly to the victim's card.
The portal is also poor both in terms of graphics, which you can turn a blind eye to, and on the contents ... in fact, you can access positions already visible on other more popular, well-known and above all free portals!

This company is a German based scam. You would have no possibility to unsubscribe, and if you send e-mail (the only way to unsubscribe) no one will read or unsubscribe. And after you would be charged 69 euros for the ads that are all available for free on other job search sites. If you would request a refund from your account by providing proof that you sent the request three days in advance, you would still receive a refund refusal. Never use this site and advise your friends against it.

Not recommended

I was curious about their service as they kept sending emails promoting it and dropping its price by 80%. Unfortunately, I accepted their offer and signed up for six months. After a few searches, it became apparent on the first day that I wasted time and money, and I was clear that I would not use them again. I didn't read the T&Cs they sent, which stated that the contract needs to get terminated 42 days(!) before it expires. Otherwise, the contract renews for another six months (then at a five times higher price!). When terminating the agreement on the day it expired, my nose got rubbed into their clauses, and the money was taken off my credit card. There's no person you can contact, and the phone line will hang up after a minute; hence there won't be someone you can talk to other than a "service" team which is an email address to the "Jobleads Support Team". Unlike reputable companies I dealt with in the past, there's no service, no contact you can talk to, and they are not interested in providing the services you might think they will. After reading reviews on various internet pages (e.g.: https://www.kriegsberichterstattung.com/id/19521/how-the-dubious-german-job-exchange-jobleads-lures-and-rips-off-customers-into-useless-subscriptions/), it became apparent that thousands of customers suffered similar financial losses; hence I'd like to warn anyone, and first to read through the reviews, especially the low-rating ones, before considering signing up with them. For me one of the worst experiences.

Landed on the homepage by clicking on a banner and after a cheap test phase with a 12-month subscription for the price of a 6-month subscription baited. As of today I know: The money I threw out the window, because: Despite all the information and upload documents within 9 months 0 requests from headhunters (exist at all?) On my profile. The supposedly "exclusive" job offers can also be found on any other portal (eg Indeed, M.P. and Stepstone) for free. Multiple subscription termination sent (letter, e-mail, fax) - no reaction. Confirmation of dismissal only on 13.05.2019 given in an unannounced, personal visit. Oh yes. There are a lot of warnings circulating on the internet - but that's just a glimpse.

They have been bombing me with emails to sign up for the Premium Membership and I would get a lot opportunities, but got a lot of expired job ads from external sites.
I could not terminate my premium membership because the notice period is 42 days and as I was not using their service I forgot to do it on time. They charged my card with 179 EUR (6 months fee) - which is a fortune if you compare it with the services they give - and didn't give me any refund after contacting the so-called customer service.
