If you are reading this please please do not come this is the worst hospital I ve ever been to in my life no manners so rude they
Look at you like you have your hand out for charity so dirty every time you go to complain to someone all they say is I know it s bad
And they walk away something needs to be done about this hospital
We are not in a third world country it s so ridiculous if I could I would give them negative 10 stars

Ill been here today at emergency and the service was really bad it takes them 3 hours just to ask me couple stupid question then to wait another 1 hours to check me while i was in a bad pain.People can die here while waiting and the employees are really rude.Very disappointing.

Very bad attention and dirty emergency area and last a long time to assist you is my opinion

Use to be my favorite hospital but, the quality of care has changed... Very disappointed.. I came yesterday afternoon at 3pm to the emergency room for an infection in my gums. Left waiting over 9 hours in pain before I saw a physician. Finally at 1:30 in the morning I was instructed to return at 7 to the dental department. Where I ve been waiting for an.additional.4 hours. Still in pain while.my face swells up.. I use to love this hospital

The woman at the visitors desk takes ten years to process a visitors pass.

You can never get an appointment soon. It's always at least a 3 month wait which doesn't cut it off you're sick and the walk in clinics take the maximum amount of patients even before the walk in clinic opens.

I love going to Jacobi Hospital. Since I was a baby to now.

My experience was horrible me and my 3 month old waited in the waiting area for 5
Hours just too be seen then when we finally got called we waited 30 minutes before someone came I'm totally piss

Place is disgusting super dirty random blood stains and garbage everywhere... on top of that staff kept forgetting to do everything plus they were reckless while moving me around they didn't cover any of my road rash pr anything till I asked and then they only did a few spots

Doesn't even deserve 1 start. I came to ER with ambulance and spend 5 hours on the bed and noone did anything. This is the worst place I have ever been in.

I've been here since 11:21 am and I'm currently still waiting. I have a swollen right leg and I don't know the reason why. I've been here for well over 2 hours and still counting while in pain. I would recommend that you never come to this hospital. One of triage is super nasty and needs to be more welcoming. If you want to live don't come here.

At first, i was very scared cuz of the reviews i read about this Hospital.
Well, everybody has a personal experience and i will tell you that mine, was a good one.
I went there for a swollen & painful knee. They surely did take their time, for there was more urgent cases than mine so i wouldn't complain at all. The doctors & nurses came and check and they finally treated me. I still have to go for Follow-Up Care but i can assure you that. It's at least worth trying and have an experience on your own. The Staff was pretty friendly and the docs knew what they were doing.
I wouldn't mind going back there if needed...but again, i hope that i won't have to, cuz you know, NOBODY likes Hospitals! LOL

Not only does the emergency department have a long wait but so does the regular primary care center.

Unbelievable on how your relative is waiting more than 3 hours for a scheduled surgery that was supposed to start at 9 am! The doctors are so greedy to make money, they over schedule surgeries. The bathroom was disgusting too!

The ER wait time of 7hrs wasn't honored and the lack of communication to waiting ailing patients is really unfair. And I know their playing a blind eye to the couple that keep drugging it up in the bathroom.

Front desk staff didn t know who to call to answer my questions because they were too concern to clock out.

This is a great hospital with a good doctor I been coming in this hospital since 2013 with all my Family I love Jacobi Hospital.

I wish to give no star. I Came to emergency it's been 7 hours still waiting for them to call me. Have no idea how long do I have to wait for see a doctor.

Today I lost my Brother... This hospital is one of worst places to send your love ones. Please stay on top of the so call Doctors and Nurses. They really don't care. Be Aware!!! Don't trust them they lie, unorganized, unproffessional, and sloppy. No one is professional or have common courtesy any more for the patients. God Bless my Brother may he Rest in Peace....Don't take a loss like I did.transfers your love ones to another facility if you want them to live...

Very disorganized hospital , my father went there with a shoulder n back pain, we register at 9:30am by 4pm, he hasn't been called. We finally left to go to another hospital. The place needs to be shut down. The ladies at the counter also don't have any respect for the patients.

Terrible staff. Wait time is not reasonable what so ever. Nurses so rude they can't even maintain eye contact while addressing a patient regardless of how severe your reason for being there. Staff too busy on their phones and ordering food to pay attention to patients. Absolutely will never go back

My mother inlaw wasnt feeling well and she decided to go to the emergency room at Jacobi hospital. She wait 5 hours In total. I know their are people who are more sick than others but 5 hours is a lot of a wait time for an emergency room. THe hospital should have someone taken patients information ask the reason why their there vs just having them waiting impatiently in pain and sick. The hospital need to come up with a better way to attend to everyone that walks into the emergency room... My Mather inlaw went home in pain after 5 long painful hours.. It's incredible how she felt worst at a place that should of helped her feel better and should of provide care.. Way to go Jacobi staff

Horrible experience. The place is a dump. Rooms are dirty and the housekeeping department seems to work Ad-Hoc. Nurses are very dismissive and ignore patients concerns. No sense of empathy from Doctors or Nurses. I will avoid getting services from this hospital at All cost. Patients have to wait for their medication if there is shift change occurring. No communication among staff and patients are the ones suffering for the lack of communication. Someone should do some audits in that hospital to check if the hospital is operating under the ethical guidelines and standards!
Did I mentioned I had a Horrible Experience? Simply Horrible!

We should all go to administration and complain about how they take 6 hours to take care of a patient in the emergency!!

On 10/24 I was walking and hit by a car. I was unconscious and they brought me to jacoby. they intubated me and kept in a medical coma for two days. Prior to this I have been on very strong pain meds for a botched surgery in 2006, when I awoke from my med. induced coma...I was in full withdrawal. My sisters who flew from all over the country to be there for me...were begging the doctors to gave me my reg. dose. They didn't believe me. My sister had to go back to my house and pick up my prescription. When they saw it was legit they stated that the pharmacy would not dole out that much pain meds. and tried to give me methadone instead. the whole thing is insane. It was one of the worst if not the worst experience of my life. they treated me like a drug addict. Even though my pain meds were written by a certified pain specialist since 2008. Then to add insult to injury they wanted to keep me for observation but not give me my meds...that I now had in my possession. I signed out against medical advice and they wrote on my discharge papers that I was an opiate user/abuser. Even though I have been treated by a pain spec. for 6 years. That had nothing to do with them. Beware... Because of what they wrote I was unable to get any help from any other hospital. I will be suing. Stay clear of this hospital for anything... The staff don't care about anything...its just a job. The nurses were making outright rude comments about in front of my family. It was the worst nightmare I have ever experienced.

I was treated for a fall, Femur. I went by ambulance taken straight into emergency. I was in so much pain, the care I received from everyone was exceptional. Within minutes they relieve my pain, I had all these wonderful people taking care of me. I was admitted and surgery was scheduled for the next day. Again total professionalism. I was in the hospital for 1week. No complaints. Except for maybe the food, lol they need to work on that. Other wise I was impressed with the before and after care...thank you everyone for your care and service.

Horrible service in emergency . They take to much time in emergency to call the patients. I can't belive it.

My only experience with Jacobi was by proxy. I had to bring and return my husband there for a colonoscopy about 6 months ago. He was put under anesthesia, which isn't very common for this procedure. He had to wait a bit longer than the other patients because of that, but he wasn't complaining. Right now, we're looking for a good GI Dr. Trying to get an appointment at Jacobi for days and everything is booked over a month in advance for Metro plus users. Fidelis, here I come.

I was really upset from the X-ray department at Jacoby hospital at 3:30pm the technician really rude saying too many times how he has to leave while he has like 7 patients waiting
for they're X-rays to be done and patients feeling lousy as it is. On top of the waiting that is already endured from the patient.
I feel that it is unprofessional to announce to patients numerous of times the changes of they're shift it's not the patients concern. Then the technician gloats about how he has to hurry to go home because his wife is waiting for him,? In all reality, point blank. I sincerely find it logically not necessary. For a patient to know all that extra personal staff information?!

This is a horrible place, if you have a real emergency never never come here, they make you wait for hours before a doctore see you.

Wonderful place, clean and super neat, doesn't smell like the traditional hospital smell. Oh and some of the staff too are very wonderful. God bless Dr kaban and her team.

THE WROSE HOSPITAL I EVER EVER EVER EVER BEEN 2 smfh they want the Ppl to harass them about EVERYTHING ALL THE WAY DOWN 2 Results & even to pain MEDs...they will let Iu die they don't even check on you on a Reg.. they hAd my Aunt wait 3 days b4 she got a "Real Room" in Jacobi its horrible the Night staff all the Females Are laZy all they do is sit and gossip & get mad wen a patient comes to them ... well " if u don't like ur job get a New one even the ppl Head of them (RN's the front dear staff all she do is be on her Phone h ya really need to evaluate who y'all hire it's really pathetic

Doctors and staff in the Pediatric ER were amazing. I expected to wait alot longer than I did. Nurses were very friendly, offered juice and snacks. Doctor answered all my questions in detail. The communication of information was transfered in a timely manner. The reality is it's an ER your not going to be in and out like you would a doctors office. Some parents were complaining that their kids have been sick for 5 days, so being good parents why did you wait this long to see a doctor? and why is it now the ER's fault at 10:00pm? So many people want to criticize unfairly. I'm happy with it all taking from start to finish about 4 hours, including Xrays and I think that's fair for the amount of cases they had, and I know my sons issue was not life threatening. Dr. Acosta was the first doctor we met and he was amazing, great people skills. I haven't needed to use this hospital in about 10 years and it's much better than I remembered.

Worst Hospital ever. Very rude doctors and staffs.People go to hospital in midtown Manhattan. You'll save time and your life.

More like 1/10 of a star my son had ear pain and the nurse completely ignored his cries. I asked for Motrin 4 times and was ignored and told need to speak to a doctor ER waiting room was practically empty and yet still a 6 hours wait. This was incredible, if my son s ear drum would have popped or bursted what would they have done.

I don t even know why I m giving them two stars they really suck, your sick or have an injury you ll have to wait hours not even joking had so many incidents and one really major incident where my head was sliced in half only thing I like is how nice they are but I stayed about 6 hours to get my head staples like that s a no no

Fantastic hospital in every way ...
I Love the staff and My Primary Doctor is the best.. Also my cardio and pulmonary doctors have been wonderful... I had to have a pericardial drain in Sept of 2016 and the ccu was amazing ... everyone from the Doctor who did the procedure To the nurses and staff members including housekeeping were the kindest and amazing people (I was a little nasty and everyone was so sweet, kind and understanding) ... then in March I had to once again go in to get a pericardial "window" and once again the staff was lovely, it was supposed to be in and out in one day but it drained very slow so I had to stay overnight and the staff was very kind ...
I would recommend Jacobi Medical Center to Anyone and Everyone ... I have been going for all my healthcare needs for Years and 14 years ago my grandson Logan was born there ...
I think this hospital and Every Single Member Of The Staff are Amazing And Wonderful !!!!

The staff are very unfriendly and almost always unprofessional. If you require their attention then it immediately puts a damper on their day. No human relations skills whatsoever!

Honesty they are best ,from experience they are friendly and ready to listen to everything u say .Jacobi u are the best. Keep it up and very neat environment. Dr Wright keep it up and thanks so much for the care given to my daughter.

I can't stand Jacobi. The staff is very uncaring and not concerned of people's well being. Blah!

Caution my seriousness is on the max level when I tell you this you are warned: I m gonna be very honest with you and my experiences here I ve been born in this hospital and grew up coming in here a lot but the service is terrible even when it s not busy they will take their time taking care So if you come here make sure you know coming here will take up your whole day they will take an hour just to get a bed ready for you when it s not busy 2 hours if they re busy then they proceed to make u wait an hour or two just to come and see what s wrong with u and then you ll tell them and they will proceed to make u wait an hour or two before attempting to help you

Horrible experience, no one should ever come to this hospital, me and my mom have been here since 10:40 and it s 3:03 and she s still waiting to go into the ER, don t waste your time in this hospital

Staff is very unprofessional, the old lady in the front desk of the e.r is rude and disrespectful , my girlfriend was in Jacobi for over 8 hours with a fractured foot and no one was tending to her until I got angry witch is very unfair to her and others that we have to be rude to be attended too.. This place need new management or needs to be shut down ASAP. Next time I will go to St.barnabas hospital at least they tend to there patients

I understand that the ER Staff is very busy with patients and I appreciate that they took the time to find a Doctor to provide an update on my father's status.

Very courteous, staff very professional and sympathetic through my stay.

I gave birth in 2010 and the staff and doctors were great. I have also been treating at their new clinic and Jacobi has shown their progress in medical care and have been improving throughout the years. Maybe the ER is not all that great for adults but hey that's every hospital in the Bronx. I give them credit.

The dirtiest hospital I ve ever been to. The staff has a nasty attitude. Never ever everrrr again.

I waited 8 hours before my daughter was visited for an injury in the back of her head; a well visible hematoma under her scalp, no doctor came to see her before 8 hours. She was registered as highly serious case at 9:50 pm. She was finally seen ten minutes before 6 am. We sat in a dirty corridor until 5am when the janitorial staff came around complaining that they would gladly leave this job if they could. Staff members talking to each other about their private business, they wouldnt look at you when talking to you. Someone should report them to the local news. If jacobi medical center in the bronx is the hospital of the future, I hope I never ever ever get sick!
Unpleasant Experience

The worst hospital starting from the paramedics and other things that there are no doctors who know how to speak a little Spanish there and what to speak for

You are sick today in the hospital you will wait till tomorrow to be seen.

This is a careless place to bring people to pass on. They don't care about anyone here. My younger brother 25 wasn't even put on life support. Bunch of Devils

The most excruciating wait time I've ever experienced and once I saw a doctor, they sat me in a chair in the common areas and said I was fine only to be hospitalized the next day at Montefiore. They completely missed my Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis.

This hospital is the worst hospital ever. My fiance and I went to ER today I was waiting to see a doctor and we decided to leave. We waited 4 f*** k hours and they never called us. I am 33 weeks pregnant and they did not care that I am pregnant. Please people don't go there.

Don't go there ever. I am in ER now. But I've been waiting for 3 hours by now. How is it possible to make ER patient wait for 3 hours????????

Nurse was very rude. My boyfriend got ran over by a car but was so hungry after not eating for a while i asked her what was going on she started to catch an attitude while rolling her eyes. She never came into our area unless i got up and got another nurse.

They don t call it killer hospital for nothing. My father went in for a routine procedure and died after they left a surgical instrument in him.

They're only concerned about trauma victims like other peoples' problems mean nothing. If I could give 0 stars I would. Went in at 8pm, got checked at 8:15 AM. Spent over 12 hrs in this piece of crap hospital. If you think Montefiore is bad, you've never been to Jacobi.

Can't differentiate if this is a hospital or slaughterhouse...

My father (Bless his soul) was worked on by various groups when he was admitted into Jacobi late last year. And although he succumbed to his condition (cancer), he had a great staff working to make him as comfortable as possible. I especially would like to thank the ultrasound technicians (Victor in particular) for his attention to detail and willingness to take the time to educate me on my Dad's condition. The entire staff was as attentive as they could be considering the hectic conditions and I would like to take this moment to thank them for pushing back Thanatos for as long as they could. Men and women of Jacobi, I salute you!

They killed my mother here ,on purpose like they do everyone else they kept her sick while experimenting and torturing her she was put in a comma for almost a year they tried to shut her up.the nurse would FORCE medicate her which they bombards her body with toxins which put her in a comma.Then ,they put a traech tube down her throat ,one in her rear end ,one tube in her private ,a feeding tube ,which the stupid nurse inserted incorrectly and the liquid spilled throughout my moms body ,she got really swollen and unrecognizable .Before this GOD showed me what really goes on in hospitals its infuriating ,all though they killed the body not her soul .GOD took her home ..READ MURDER BY INJECTION by EUSTACE MULLINS,you can also go on YouTube ,type in EUSTACE MULLINS ,MURDER BY INJECTION these are videos and interviews it explains everything GOD BLESS

Loved the staff nd great service a week ago when i gave birth to my son amius

Disgusting service. Nurses do not give a damn about the patient. My mom got hit by a car and they took her to the emergency room. They just left her on the bed and no one came to check on her. She injured her leg and arm and she told a nurse that she has to use the restroom. The nurse said ok and didn't even bother helping her. Two hours later and she still wasn't assisted. She asked another nurse and the nurse told her to to walk there. My mom couldn't even stand up. She was there for hours without assistance. Really shocked that these people can call themselves healthcare practitioners.

This is a hell. The people working here are irresponsible. It seems like if anyone with good health go there they will get an hart attack.
I would like to get an response from in charge management.
