The amount of time waiting to be attended is horrible! Just for one doctor. And then waiting for tests is even longer.

Worst hospital ever. Completely unprofessional. If you have emergency please don t go there. You will waste your time

extremely long wait in the emergency room .. people who arrived in a ambulance still had to wait for hours. the staff who were actually there had nasty attitudes, even to those who spoke to them calmly. this hospital needs better staff and needs to get people in and out of the emergency room faster.

This hospital is horrible. The doctors were nice but the nurses were lazy and rude. One nurse said to me my sickness was a new trend and it was disgusting. I was admitted for 6 days and the experience was just Unbelievable. Once I left the hoapital, contacting them was a nightmare. They don't answer the phone and when they do, not helped or don't want to help.

I have to say that many go to the emergency room and the reason is to receive care and everyone goes to get help and while the intent for good service is tried to be given the outcome is unacceptable. I have taken my mother to the emergency room in a total of three times and all my experiences are the same. The wait is expected but the communicate is terrible the staff seems to not inform patient about anything and putting patient in a room and not communicating with them is not a solution. Yes emergent situation need attention all the staff is not required and if it is the state needs to be informed that the funds awarded by the state can be provided for a emergent team so that the other patient are provided with PATIENT CARE WHICH IS THE GOAL AT THE END OF THE DAY. I work for a hospital and our staff is taught to provided communication and respect to all patients which I suggest that jacobi president provide for all staff.

This hospital is the worst hospital! They spent all this money on making the hospital look good and making it bigger when they need to work on the employees and the wait to see the doctor in the emergency room for both side adult and children s emergency room got here at 12 noon didn t see the triage nurse for my son till 2pm and been in the waiting room to see the doctor until 5pm didn t leave until 9 or 10pm it don t make any kind of since they need to stop worrying about the LOOKS OF THE HOSPITAL AND WORK ON THE DOCTORS AND WAIT!!!!

I gave Birth To Both of My Children there and the device was Great, Now as for the emergency waiting room it is terribly a lonq wait, but its worth it

these people do not care about there patients, they are horrible they hang up the phone on you, they keep you on hold for hours. they also let out patients information to people that are not you. THEY DO NOT HELP AT ALL THEY JUST WANT MONEY

I had a bad experience in an emergency, I went Monday morning and they treated me until 1:30 on Tuesday.

I was seen promptly because it was an emergency, however, they screwed up with billing my insurance and sending my meds through the correct insurance so I couldn't take medication as soon as I needed to. Now symptoms are worst and when I called the man in the call center was rude and kept me on hold before hanging up on me.

Very disappointed in the wait time. Staff was very rude, negligent, and I left in bed waiting for a doctor to respond and turns out we waited more than enough (5 hours) so we left and my son quickly transferred me to a nearby hospital where the doctor was just ready for me to go in. I had a cut and it wouldn t stop bleeding so I had to receive some stitches.

This facility is nothing but full of disgraceful nurses and doctors, who are just waiting to receive their checks. Please I m begging you if you need to go to an ACTUAL hospital for a life threatening or another big reason, DO NOT go to Jacobi, you ll deeply regret it. Shame on Westchester for designating their ambulance to this location, I ll bet that s why the girl from New Rochelle High School died because the staff did nothing to relieve her, same way they didn t care about me.

If I could give this hospital negative stars I would, my brother has literally been waiting to see the doctor for over 7 hours !!!! This is ridiculous, clearly the only way to get someone s attention or even proper treatment is to physically die in front of them and even then they d probably still make you wait. Worst Hospital ever.

Bad service i waited 5hr and they never call me i ask the people in front of the dask how long it was going to take so i can be check they just ignore me and give me attitude...

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS CHILDREN HOSPITAL!!! They took care of me so well and whenever i would come in which was a few times a month due to health conditions they would take me right away ( remembering whats wrong ). The treated me with respect. I've had to stay atleast 4 times in the hospital a week or 2 at a time and they would come check on me and come fast whenever i would ring my bell for help. I also had a gallbladder removal in the hospital and a stone that was stuck in my duct out and they were helpful with the process.

The worst haspital ever I came to the haspital at 12:30 pm now the time is 5:49 and I'm not done yeah their is nothing big with me but they make it to big take your time for nothing.

This is the worst hospital ever!!!!! Don't recommend it for anyone. The adult emergency is a joke, you can be dying and they will still have you in the waiting room for 8+ hours. This has been my experience every time!!!!!

Being a patient here requires a lot of patience not to mention NOTHING else to do on day of appointments.Wait times are ridiculous especially when you have an appointment at all the outpatient clinics,time and money lost.And they wonder why my blood pressure is high!!!

My aunt has been here for about two weeks, since she broke her foot in two parts...she went to surgery roon.her doctor were very professional and treated her in a very good manner...now my aunt find herself in complete recovery and will have t o be transfered to a rehab facility near her house....hospital and its staff treated my aunt very well and care for her.....thank to all personnell of jacoby medical center

This hospital by far as been the worse place i been to in years !!! I have been with back pain for several months and in the last couple of weeks has been worse resulting with the pain transfering down by leg. I had no health insurance and that the only reason i give it a one star, i got to my appt much earlier than anticipated and waited 4 hours before bieng seen by DR. Benjamin Cohen. After explaining to him my overall health issue and explaining to him it limiting my work and life style duties he disregarded me because i showed him papers to filled out for my employer. Used psychological tactics like if i was dumb to have me explain my same pain different ways, and after doing that he stated was getting a senior doctor to check me out just to have Dr. Kat Monz come in and tell me they cant fill out any papers for me and i quote "back pain leaves within 6 weeks at times " and that it no referrral to see a specialist any test to make sure it not something severe. All this two doctors were concern is that i had a form for my employer to fill out. Horrible excuse of a hospital !! .

From the emergency room through a 30 day stay, I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by everyone. It actually makes me cry every time I think of everyone j didn't say goodbye to, April, Dr.Nessen, nurse Clare, nurse Christina Lauro, and the night staffing in sicu. To the staffing on the 4th floor, thank you for your help in getting me ready to go home, you are a special and beautiful group of people.

Probably the most Worst Hospital in The U.S.A. They just pass time without starting any treatment even if it s a cancer patient. Everyone is very irresponsible at their work. Don t come here with the one you love.

My sister who is an RN was involved in a car accident on 11/6/17 in the evening, hit by an ambulance on the way home from work. Her car totaled and she was brought to Jacobi. She was brought in, on a stretcher but eventually told to wait in the waiting room next to some homeless people. Then its freezing there and told she cannot get a blanket in the waiting area. To be a caretaker to end up in this situation and receiving suboptimal care is disheartening. Nurse manager Felicia seemed to lack empathy with her monotone cold responses. This doesn't finish here.

they saved my life after saving a traumatic brain injury there in 2000 and anyone calling them a bad trauma center ought to go visit Bronx Lebanon

Emergency children room.
Horrible floor.. all dirty not cleaned.
Bathroom, no paper towels.
A nurse went to the bathroom and saw all messed up then she went to the back to clean everything.
A Nurse missing her glasses.. dont see what's in the paper.
its 4:30pm- a patient has been waiting since 10am..

Worst hospital, I came here after having a weight fall on my finger. I got to the emergency room at 7:20 PM and I did not leave the emergency room until 3:00 AM!!! 8 HOURS in the emergency room waiting for 4 stitches!! The doctors were rude, and did not care about anything.

We made the mistake of bringing my sister here when she had a fever and vomit. well she got to the pediatrics ER at 9:00 AM and its now 4:05 PM and they are still in the ER, the doctor attending her is rude, and is saying that my 9 year old sister is being dramatic and does not have any pain or fever. Meanwhile they took her temperature and she has a fever of 109 degrees! Who is hiring the doctors here? Where are their bedside manners? How can a doctor tell a 9 year old girl that she is not really sick and is being dramatic?!!!

I have never dealt with such unprofessionalism in my life. Jacobi Hospital was never like this and now it's garbage.

Been in the waiting Area since 9:30am and still haven t seen a doctor this is unbelievable they need to do before!

The cleanliness of the hospital is not very good, I found the bathrooms smelling ugly and dirty, the trash cans in the room where my husband was full of garbage, an instrument had a lot of dust and a spider web, I hope they have more cleaning, I visited because of an emergency why a dog bit my husband, it was a lot of people on Monday, but the nurse saw him at 3:32 pm and the doctor began to see him at 4:42 pm, then we will wait for the vaccination, Doctor explained the role of vaccines well, the hospital has a large parking lot.

Worse hopslital ever I came with a 2 months pregnacy pain and other stuff and all they say is you have to wait for the doctor the Nurses dont know anything they are just talking and Laughing In the whole way, They also have an attitude bcuz they dont want to be bother. They also say the doctor are working with trauma Sooo the ontly have 1 doctor for the entired hospital i just dont get it

Dr. Manyapu was great; however, the ER needs to be more efficient. It took nearly 12 hours to get some pills, x-rays and a CT Scan. Not ideal.

This is by far a horrible hospital, my mom die in this hospital while she was in rehab meaning getting better then I m asking for her medical records for little insurance to pay her funeral and 2 months later still haven t getting anything with millions excuses I proofed I m her daughter in so many ways and still putting excuses but and they need a ok to do surgery they takes the kids words very fast cause that surgery will make them money I regret so much to let my mom in that hospital, you don t make that mistake the staff is rude like elderly person don t count shame on this place .

Building #8 3floor they let you waiting for sonogram more than 3 hrs cuz there is always an emergency, the service is really bad

I would give this place a 0 if I can. I went to the emergency room on Saturday I was there for 8 hours and I wasn t seen. Every time I asked the nurses for the doctor they told me to wait. I ended up waiting for 8 hours I had no option but to leave the hospital. The staff is very rude and nasty. Very disappointed.

I dont even know where to begin... Just horrible. Waiting several hours to see a doctor with no explanation, rude and non-chalant staff. And then I made the mistake of giving birth there. Worst experience of my life. The anesthesiologist was in the worst mood and took it out on me because I needed 2 epidurals, neither of which worked. They forgot to change my catheter bag, to the point where it filled with blood. The nurses cared more about keeping me quiet then helping me through a scary time. I gave them specific instructions to keep a certain person out of my delivery room, but minutes before I was about to push, a nurse tried to convince me to let them in because they were suddenly buddies in the hallway. Everyone treats you like some unwed criminal or something. I'm just happy I changed to a different hospital. there's so much more I could type but its traumatic. Stay away from there.

That people so bad, I believe that in the whole world there is not a hospital where there are so many bad, indolent employees and without love of neighbor, my God.
A high-risk patient had to go to another hospital because they did not pay attention to him, but the saddest thing is that the other hospital tells him to please send the images taken to the patient because they do not want to take more X-rays. that is dangerous and they all went to one and said that the machine is damaged so as not to look for them, they are intolerable, may God forgive them.

Got my arm stabbed by a creepy psycho doctor. Nothing was done about it.

Called Jacobi ,medical to set up an appointment for the dentist three weeks ago, the rep. took my information said that he will call me back, three weeks ago....still holding my breath for a call back. totally disgusting!

My grandmother had a pretty severe case of hives and they saw her within 30 mins which was really good of them. I was having a pain on my groin area and I was in a lot of pain but it was manageable I checked myself in and waited on 5 hours the fat Spanish dude working at the front desk with glasses looked like he wasn't even sure where he was told me that after 5 hours of waiting there was still 11 people in front of me. And that they had only seen 2 people in the time I was there. I was so pissed I just left, long story short don't go over there unless you're absolutely dying.

Wait time is CRAZY! Average wait time: 12-16hrs Occasionally: 18-20 hrs It makes you even more sick! The hospital critically needs more staff.

Drove a friend to the Emergency Room going on 6 hours Ago ; Im dumbfounded on Seeing 4 people in from of Uncle Lou and and think I know what the problem is; These ( INTERN'S) "Doctors" take to many Breaks Nd who here to watch the children not the Senior Doctors they take off for the weekends they no Dope's Out light a Light. I came at 7:14pm and my stomach still hurt I need help and doctor take 4 hours and I am still hurt stomach it really bad and doctor just sit and doing computer I still here right now!

Came here 2day at 5pm in so much pain. And still havent been seen at all and its going on 11pm. The wait is beyond sad. This hospital needs 2 be reported about the wait time. Could of died and still wouldnt have been seen.

I went to the ER and was seen right away. The Doctor I saw that day was friendly but was unprofessional to sit me in the waiting area to finishing discussing things with me.
I had a follow-up appointment that next week the Doctor said he made for me .... wasn't made. The workers are rude.

I went to Jacobi hospital emergency room and told them that I needed help with my pain. Whatever was that piece of S--t emergency room doctor is his name called. He just ignored me when I told him about my situation with my pain. The Emergency room doctor (Indian native). I thought that doctor's took an oath. Anyway he gave me an excuse about that can't give me nothing for my pain because it's normal my pain. Motherf- --. I didn't make a scene because the policemen were present at the time. So instead of medication, he sent me to the psych ward. Like if I'm crazy!! Even the employees were asking what am I doing here. I will say that Jacobi hospital are unprofessional, obtuse, and on top of that nobody wants to do there job. They just want to get paid for NOTHING. From the insurance lady (Black American) to Rebecca (Intake) to the Emergency room doctor. Lazy!! All lazy!! I will be going to another hospital that are going to take me seriously!!

Worst hospital ever! I've never been at a hospital where no one wants to give you an update on what's going on with the patients. Apparantly, all of the doctors are too busy and none of the staff knows what the hell is going on. my mother-in-law was involved in a serious car accident and the only way I could figure out what was going on with her was from the.insurance case worker.

I was at the emergency room cause I ve broke my hand and I waited 10 hours to be seen by a doctor and no mater I was in a terrible pain the Chinese said ok don t come back at this hospital. I would have fired her and sand her back to China and maybe she will learn the right way to treat the patients here.

If I could give it a 0- I would. My Dad went into the hospital with stomach pains and diarrheal. Dr. Chung from the emergency says it was a waste for him to come in because there nothing wrong with him. That his dehydration from the flu is because he is old and that what happens to old people. I asked him to hydrate him he said he would but it is a waste of his time. My Dad was discharge at 12:30 but his paper work was not available until 5:30 p.m. When I keep asking what happening they said they are working on it. Said we are working out and they got security. I called 911 to get out of Jacobi because they refuse to release my Dad after Dr. Chung said their was nothing wrong with him. Disgusting.!

ZERO STARS!!!! I went to take a Covid-19 test and they spelled my name wrong after reading my identification papers. I can therefore not access my results which I need for school this week.

I don't even want to give 1 star. How about -10 stars. But I must let others know... Staff are mediocre but what can you ask for here. We asked for a pillow and the staff just sat there, a friend came over and they kept laughing and looking at their phones. Tell me, what's funny about medical work? And then to hear them complain about patients is disrespectful and only shows that no matter how book smart they could be they could never learn compassion and that is one vital characteristic a nurse must have. Doctors seem inexperienced and unsure about which medication to prescribe their patients with. I'd like to also mention that their restrooms smell like piss that haven't been washed in years and their public seats have profanity drawn and written all over.

I just want to talk about the emergency area of the building 6.
The staff is mostly unprofessional laughing out loud as if they were at a party, eating in the work area in an inappropriate way. With some very dirty areas, not suitable for a health center. It took 22 hours to do 2 medical test to my wife.

My aunt was admitted to this hospital and had not been given any attention at all. She is in the fifth floor in building six. She was being discriminated against because she doesn t speak English very well. She was constantly bleeding from her hand because of the saline treatment and all the nurse did is wipe it while she is continuously bleeding. When she called for the nurse, the nurse wouldn t bother to attend to her. We had no way to contact them and we didn't even know who the doctor was. Although they gave us contact information, we never got any response to our attempts at contacting them. Do not recommend at all.

Warning to all who Read this Message!!!!! If you love your elderly Family members, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT GO TO THIS MEDICAL CENTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Been here for 4 hours and being discharged with out ever being seen! Awful!

My daughter was there for 2 days in er. No rooms and they didnt even give her anything to eat. She had pneumonia. She walked out and went to see her private doctor. It was so disorganized and filthy. My veterinarian is better to see.

I can say that I had Pleasant experiences there. I had all my children there. But they've made a lot of changes and I haven't been there in a while

The worst hospital in the Bronx this is like my 3rd time going there and spent over 12 hours and not seeing by a doctor. They put you down to sit and die you have to leave besides none of the staff is able to give you any information about when you can and will be seeing by a doctor. Pregnant and fell I they didn't even care

The worst hospital hands down, The staff was so unprofessional; they were to worried about texting than the actual incoming patients. This one RN handed a patient the clipboard to fill out their info while staring at her phone, I will never step foot again in this place and will pass the word along, your worried about competing with other hospitals, then employ the correct employees not people who will give you a bad rep. They favor people as they come in if they click and have a conversation then your in, This one guy came in who had a stroke and they put him to fill out paper work, ridiculous! The waiting facility is a complete filth. You'll be waiting forever, don't waste your time!

My mother in law died 1hr after she got discharged from this hospital she was there for 2 days , first day the doctors gave us 3 different stories and the next day they discharged looking super sick .

This hospital save my life four time so far all the doctor and nurses I encounter with from the emergency room admission inpatient floor and out patient visit Overall All the staff i had come across has been real nice to me like my surgical doctor ,anesthesia doctors ,Medical doctor ,Oncology doctor .Neurology doctor I thank god for them to be working with me for the pass eight years going on nine insurance or no insurance they do their best to save life 24/7 each day god bless them god watch over each and every staff on board.......
