Great food!! Beautiful ambience! Customer service has always been wonderful!!

We had reservations for 4 on Saturday. We had planned on having a nice dinner with friends and a movie after. The evening started out fine. We were seated right away, which was nice. Once our server Tom, came by it went down hill from there. My friend was asking him some questions about their drink selection. Tom, didn't seem to want to be bothered, so she quickly ordered her drink, so as not to keep him. It took him a while to come back to take our meal order, I asked if a particular dish was served wiith BBQ sauce, once I learned that it was, I asked him to take the others order while I selected a different dish. He said, "I will come back" and the others at the table just looking at one another. That first incident, was a lil funny. We thought maybe he misunderstood me. Nope. He was just rude. Once we placed our order we wanted to add something to our order, Tom looks at us annoyed and says "geesh!." as he walks away. Now at this point we should have received our bread basket which we didn't, we had to ask for it. When he finally came over to our table he tells us that hes going to call a manager over. At this point my friends were stunned but I was glad to have a manager at our table, since I had a word or two to share with him about his server, Tom. Now, I know it seems like I'm leaving something out of this review, like maybe that we were rude to Tom, or that we were being difficult but I promise we were not. I still don't know why Tom was so rude to us. Maybe he was having a bad day, I don't know. Needless to say, when the manager came over he didn't see a problem with adding a salad to our order. I shared my thoughts with Tom and the manager. I told them I did not appreciate the type of service we were receiving and how rude Tom was behaving with us. He of course acted as nice as could be in front of his manager. From the look on Tom's face, I don't think very many people confront him on his attitude. The manager handled the situation very well, which is why I gave them 2 stars. I will not be returning to Jackaloupe Ranch any time soon.

Went for the first time great service nice and quiet had a wonderful night and the long islands are the best in town the ribs well cooked and the fish tacos delicious

Amazing place! Our server Lilly was wonderful we ordered several dishes to try and not disappointed in any. Bloody Mary s are delicious and so is the prime rib melts in your mouth.

Came here with a large group. Food is BBQ fare and everything is drenched in a sauce or dressing. Not the way I eat at all. Way too fattening. I could not even finish the huge salad. The locals seem to enjoy this place by the look of their waistlines, but definitely not my cup of tea.

A casual dining bbq side and a fine dining chop house side of the restaurant all under one roof. The venue is nicely decorated and has happy hour food and drink specials before 6.

The establishment is pretty amazing..the grounds and the decor are amazing. The food was great and so were the drinks. The fried Avacado with the poke was so good! The reason I am giving this place 3 stars is purely based on our service. Very very off. Had our waiter been more attentive he could of made this review better.

Service was horrible! Sliders we ordered must have been microwaved meat they were very dry and the taste was terrible!!

We went for lunch with family. Outdoor seatings are great. the food was good especially the guacamole dip

Happy Hour may happen. They have a wonderful place. Unfortunately, it's kind of messed up. If they are having any kind of event. The don't do happy hour that night. We were waiting for happy hour to start after an appetizer. Chabelita's are great tasting.

Can t say anything about the food because after being seated we waited 20 minutes for a server before walking out.

Over priced for mediocre food! Service was lacking and the waitress appeared as if her mind was preoccupied! We won't be back!

Good food if you go at happy hour from 3-6. Best prices at that time. Service was really slow so we a little dissapointed

We had a nice table by a window in the quieter, back room. The ribs were excellent as was the service. The larger dining room up front by the bar has a very high noise level and I am glad we avoided that, although the people there were all having a good time too. There was live music starting as we were leaving. Over all it was a nice experience.

Waiting Staff is not very attentive. Food was warm not hot; however very tasty.

How do you burn a rare burger? The outside was charcoal but the inside of the patty was cold and bloody.

Really cool place to go. The menu is little pricey.

Big disappointment!
Four of us ate there the other evening. Food took an hour to arrive at our table after placing our order. They brought the wrong wine to our table and poured it without displaying the bottle as appropriate. When we called their attention to this the waitress acted as though it was no big deal. Food was so-so and not really very good. We can't figure out how they get any good ratings given the poor service and food!!

Great food and atmosphere!! We had the pulled pork and it was excellent! We are definately going to come back the next time we visit!

Place is nice. Service was great. Food was bad. Had chicken al carbon tacos and the tortillas was to soggy. Also pineapple and beans do not go together well

Went here for dinner with three other friends. Service was slow even though not that busy. Took forever to get our food. Ordered the pork chop. My friend s was at least edible. Mine was tough as shoe leather. I was sawing it apart into small pieces, ate about 4 small bites when I noticed blood oozing from the pieces I had cut and the uncut portion of the chop. Our waitress never came back until my friends were finished with their dinner. I told her about the pork chop. She then rolled her eyes and said I ll take this to the cook. A manager then came back and asked what my problem was. I told him my problem was the pork chop was not done and too tough to chew. He told me the cook always cooks pork medium rare. I informed home the other pork chop at the table did not have blood oozing out of it. He then said that the cook said I had eaten over half of the meat and basically accused me of trying to get a meal without paying. A very embarrassing argument ensued in front of my friends and the manager finally said well, what would make you happy? I told him that removing the $30 charge for the pork chop would make me very happy. He then rudely replies I m sure it would . And walked away. The charge was removed but what a fiasco. Horrible service, food that you can t eat and then ridicule by the staff. What more could you want from a dining experience? Skip this place. There are enough bad reviews that should be a warning. There are plenty of nice places in Palm Springs.

Beautiful venue, great spread just a bit pricey for this tight German.

Our second New Years dining there. The service and food never disappoints. We were a party of 8! They just do it right! A very enjoyable time had by all!

A must if you are in the Palm Spring / Palm Desert area, Ca.

Remember where you are, the portions are faithful to the US, often too hearty.

The food is fresh and excellent, the staff polite and courteous.

Always satisfied with our visits and always ate too much.

An excellent evening. For starters, the atmosphere was great, and, the drinks at the bar were surprisingly excellent. I found the menu to have many healthy choices. The waitress was very attentive and the food came ver y quickly. Large and delicious food. I will definitely come back often.

We sat outside and the gardens were beautiful! A stream runs thru the seating area and there are lovely statues and flowering scrubs. We ordered off the happy hour menu and the food was good. The sweet potato fries were great and the sea bass was excellent.

The food was Great. We all enjoyed our lunch dishes but our server had very little customer service. We all gave her the benefit of the doubt, just incase she might be having a bad day. But I don't think this was the problem because she attended the family a table away from us with more attention. There was six in our party and we always take good care of our servers at the end of our meal. Sorry I have to say she got very little. Maybe next time. I really like having lunch at this establishment.

I went on Wednesday 5/9/18 the server was great. Everything else was a disaster! After ordering appetizers things were Looking good but the main course was a big issue. Coming with a large group of people for a post wedding celebration we had about 14 people and I m not exaggerating 9 people returned their food. Ordering baby back ribs many of us agreeded that the meat was dry and rubbery and tasted as left overs from 3 days ago. After tasting the burger mind I ordered medium rare I received more then well done, it was chard. To top it off the bread was as hard as a crouton. I m writing this review due to the fact that I had to check in the hospital since eating at this restaurant and receiving medicine due to the stomach infection found. You can say what you want but I did not eat for 12 hours before the trip so I know it was nothing I ate beforehand and didn t eat anything for 2 and half days after due to how sick I was. Try at your own risk...

Fantastic food in a very inviting setting. Service was excellent.

I would give this no stars!!! Terrible. Delivered dinner. No napkins. No silverware. Half our order didn t even come the rest was cold. Sent one of the dishes back, when it finally showed up it was over cooked. The waitress actually had the audacity to say, This wasn t my fault . Honestly, utensils that are asked for and obviously missing aren t your responsibility. Worst meal ever. Avoid this restaurant at all costs!!!

Fun place with good food and live music. Outside patio when weather is nice is terrific. Waterfall, area for private parties and much more.

We don't want to be unfair to The Chop House but we were fans in Palm Springs and had eaten there numerous times. My wife was a great fan of the Au Gratin potatoes and we both enjoyed a Dubonnet on the rocks with a twist before dinner. Both were missing on this visit. Add to that, that the Pinot Grigio was warm and our server was nice but not as attentive as we had come to expect from The Chop House and we will wait to see if they return to Palm Springs and their past performance before visiting again.

It's like an amusement park restaurant. Good for big crowds and family dinners.

The service and food is Fantastic! The rose drink, bone Marrow, and cheese platter are a must! I'll definitely tell my friends about this beautiful and delicious restaurant! I'm Definitely coming back!

I don't really like to give negative reviews. Perhaps I will visit again. I really would love to rate a 5-star rating and my first visit was not what I expected to be.

The people are very nice. This is not the place to go if you are vegan.

The bread was cold and stale. The barbecue ribs were mediocre and tasted almost like school cafeteria food on a good day. You could find better fries at a fast food restaurant, same goes with the onion rings.

The full rack of signature ribs were very overcooked and NOT AT ALL ENJOYABLE. A small discount was applied despite the fact that less than half were eaten. The restaurant supervisor also made an embarrassing situation about it.
The chopped steak had minimal vegetables.
The brisket was dry.
The shrimp and the sweet potatoe fries were great. AOK.

When we want to bring visitors to the Coachella Valley to a restaurant that is unique we take them to Jackalope Ranch. Sitting outside in the late afternoon by the waterfalls is quite nice. As others have mentioned, the ambiance and unique decor of the restaurant outweigh the food which is good, but not outstanding. With that said the steak nachos that you can get during happy hour are good. They also (usually) have Guinness on tap. I'd give it a 3 stars for food and 4 stars for ambiance. With that said, if you have not been here you should go at least once and see it for yourself as it is quite the place.

Ok location for bbq. Visited about four, it was not full. I will be back with my coworkers. This place has a good atmosphere. Food is similar to a cafe in Portland I loved.

Best patio around. The service is acceptable. The food is pretty good. The chicken fried steak is great brisket is ok but pretty dry. Great margaritas and cocktails. I have been here on several occasions.

Lots of options for bbq..as well as fish or veggie options. Easily accommodates a large group. The manager was a wonderful gentleman who really made us feel welcome !

Our waitress Pamela was awesome !! Food was great!! Our family of seven and a two year old all found food we loved!! No complaints!

You have to take the time to look at the details in the architecture of the building!!! The outdoor patio is the best.

We ate at Jaclalope Ranch for Mother's Day. The buffet was excellent. We enjoyed everything we picked.

The food and drinks are good, but the atmosphere really makes the place special. If the weather is nice, the outdoor seating is beautiful. It has heat lamps and a fire pit on the patio area, so even when it was 48 degrees, we were all comfortable.

A destination restaurant. Food is good if not exceptional, but the portions are huge by Canadian standards, the service fast and efficient, and although huge and full of family groups, quiet enough for a conversation. Great decor as well.

It is VERY PRICEY FOR WHAT YOU GET. Also serve was only fair. If you want great food, and awesome serve, just go a mile or 2 more down the road to LA Casitas Mexican food restaurant. My husband and I have lived in the valley all of our lives and we know where to get great food and awesome serve and that's for sure is La Casitas. We go there at least 1 to 2 times a week and in all the years we have always gotten delicious food and awesome serve at La Casitas restaurant. You well be so happy you went and brought your family and friends. Be sure to call them for a large party so they can give you there best serve. Hope to see you there. ; )
