We went on a busy night, it was Valentine's day, so I didn't expect the most prompt service in the world. But we waited 20 minutes for our drinks, they messed up our order, and when the food came it certainly wasn't worth the high price. The decor was creative, but otherwise I didn't see much of a reason to go back.

The place is too beautiful to have such horrible staff. Staff need to be retrained on their costumer service and have better communication skills. I get better service at McDonald's. SERIOULSY!! For sure not coming back!

Let me start by saying it takes a lot of negative reasons for me to give a place only a 2 stars rating . We came here finally after 2 years of being in the desert . We will not be coming here again. We sat in the bar area and got absolutely no attention from our waitress Sonya . Sonya knew I was not happy with my beverage but never offered to bring me another drink . Food was okay but not one we would come back to, especially due to lack of customer service of our waitress. I just noticed multiple negative comments on yelp are about SONYA same server ! The management team here should REALLY look into this !!! You are loosing too many customers because your staff needs coaching and counseling !!!!

One of our "must go" places every time we come on vacation. The ambiance is amazing, especially if it is nice enough to sit outside. We made it in time for happy hour, but I was dissapointed in the margarita (a bit bland) and the prime rib (a bit tough). My wife was hoping they'd have some better vegan/vegetarian options (given it is CA), but her salad was okay. I'm going to chalk it up to an "off night" and stick with their signature BBQ next time we visit.

No service from hostess waiter water spots all over my glass asked to sit in the sun they moved my chair onto the grass but could have sat me at another table. never brought me to go box I walked up to the bar n paid my check

I've had a couple of bad experiences at Jackelope Ranch, both with the quality of the food and appalling service. But today's experience was by far the worst ever! I made reservations online a couple of week's ago for 10:00 AM for Father's Day brunch. The afternoon before the reservations, someone from the restaurant called to confirm the reservation and inform me that they didn't serve brunch anymore but they did have a breakfast menu. At that point, I thought it was too late to make other arrangements so I confirmed the reservation. Then at 9:30 AM on Father's Day (30 minutes before the reservation time), someone else from the restaurant called to let me know that not only did they not have a Father's Day brunch planned, they also did not even open until 11:30 so my reservation could not be accomodated. They need to make some serious improvements to their reservation process!

During previous visits, we've had problems with both the quality of the food and the quality of the service. Today was the final straw. We won't be going back.

Enjoyed the happy hour in the bar. Good food at very reasonable prices

Food was really good and the servings were generous. The sweet potato fries were the crispiest I had ever had.

I went there because the group I was meeting decided to go there. I used to love this place, but had some terrible food and even worse service. I hated the thought of going, but I must say, I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the steak and it was perfection!! So, not sure if they realized they needed to step it up, or if my numerous other experiences here were accurate and I was just lucky. However, the small filet was really great.

This is a very beautiful location and landscaped property. The food is very good. However I'm not sure if it's because I don't look like I have a lot of money or if it's because I am younger than most of the people that go here. But I tend to get forgotten about while I wait for service I will see my waiter/waitress tend to other tables around me who came in after me and more frequently than they check on me (if they ever check on me). If it wasn't for that problem I would gladly give this a 5 star.

Surprise, surprise! Being a larger group than 6, drop $800 and get an 18% surcharge and can't
even order from the dinner menu. No discussion nor a heads up when making the reservations.

But, to be fair, the service and food was good!

The servants are really good and Jackie is a very nice hostess.

I have never been disappointed with their food or service. Great place to eat!

We had the best experience the other night! Our server Gabby was amazing! The food was delicious and made a long day of traveling worth it! The staff, especially Gabby, we're great. They took our dietary needs seriously and more than accommodated us!

Nothing to brag about. Love their outdoor space though.

This is my wife's favorite restaurant in the desert. Amazing food and atmosphere. I must see.

Staff is very friendly and food is good. We had my moms bday party and booked in advance, paid for their small private room (20 of us). We arrived 30 min before (according to the agreement) and the room was hot, spoke with manager and it cool down. About an hour into the dinner the AC was no longer working. By the 2 hr we were sweating. They need to fix this. I don t recommend using the room, you will not be happy. This is a difficult review to write because our server was awesome and everyone enjoyed the food but when you are physically uncomfortable it s hard to have a good time, everyone wanted to leave. Also after sunsets you notice there are many lightbulbs that out burnt out and need replacing.

Our group ate outside and it was so beautiful and peaceful. Most beautiful place I've ever been. The food was very good, but it is the atmosphere that will bring me back. We've recommended it to several friends.

Nice location and decor. Burger was ok, cooked the way I liked it, but the dry shredded lettuce had an odd taste. Friend ordered brisket and the plate only came with a couple pieces that were dry and slathered in BBQ sauce. The sauce should be served on the side. The rolls were overcooked and crunchy. I don't think this will be on my list for a return visit.

Overpriced mediocre food. We were put in area with a loud tv so could not enjoy conversation. Will not go back.

Great place pulled pork is supposedly 16hr slow cooked it tastes that way.

Ribs and chicken wings are good. Rest of the menu is hit or miss. Beer selection could be better.

A beautiful restaurant and the food was outstanding. Take a walk in back if you have the time.

The food was decent but service was Luke warm. Our server tried but just couldn't connect the dots on a good experience and one of the other servers was fairly aggressive when we were going to sit at an empty table that he had guests for that were in the restroom. I didn't have an issue with him protecting their table, in fact I applaud that. What drew my discomfort is how abrupt and matter of fact he was in telling us the table was taken. A simple, I'm sorry but this table is taken would've sufficed rather than what came across as a semi harsh rebuke. Not sure I'd go back personally.

I love the food and how nice the service was but their was a clown and I cryed love the food

Orders were mixed up, food was good, bread pudding was dry, not enough sauce, could not taste the bourbon.

Happy hour specials are great, Margaritas are even better, beautiful garden setting outside. Worth checking out.

I like the space, the patio, and the bar. What I don't like is the Top 40 Country music, but that is my preference. The food is OK. It seems like they value quantity over quality if that is your thing. Good service, and plenty of interesting spaces inside and out.

The atmosphere is great , but the food is not that good, an Very expensive, it's beautiful out side ... but the flys will carry ur food off .... only certine times off the year , u can enjoy the AWSOME view without the harassment of the fly

This place is well made with lots of details and a good classic rich look for any kind of occasion. Lunch and dinner here is great looking and great tasting. And the bar has a large selection. Also has outside patio areas that are well kept. Lots to see. Will recommend and return.

Only popped in for a cocktail on a Saturday afternoon. Walked around and checked the place out. Beautiful gardens and lounge areas. Will have to come back for dinner one of these days.

Enjoyed dining at the Chop House portion of the restaurant. Staff was attentive, and pleasant. Our steaks were perfect. Highly recommend for dinner.

Walked in to counter with 2 that did not greet or smile. They looked like morticians that just received bad news. Rude and did not speak until spoken to. We had reservations and requested outside seating through open book. We were being seated inside and when we said we reserved outside. We were informed that outside is first come first served. We then went out to a young immature blonde girl who said we could be seated and picked up menus to seat us. Another dark haired waitress came up and whispered in the blonde girls ear. Took menus and the no customer skilled blonde turned to us and said it will be 15 minutes. My wife said what just happened here ? The blonde said we had a conversation.
No apology or explanation. We went inside and asked for a Manager.
Sam the manager was outstanding ! He apologized and got us seated immediately. He bought a round of drinks for us and we had the best service waiter. Jose was outstanding in every way. He was attentive engaging and prpffesional. Sam and Jose turned our night around. Food was timely.
Tri tip was outstanding. Calamari strips are the best !
The blonde needs to get a job in the Department of Motor Vehicle. They won t need to train her to be rude and non caring. She is a poster child for how not to work with the public.
Bottom line don t put up with this, call for the manager.
Sam was walking all tables and really working to make everything a good experience for everyone.
He and Jose are good role models , because of them we will be back.
5 stars for Sam and Jose. Zero for reception and blonde at outside counter.

We live near the Jackalope Ranch and finally decided to try on Father's Day. We ordered two meals. I'll start with the ribs, nothing special, not as meaty as a St Louis rib and rather plain in flavor. Pulled pork was passable after I made a southern vinegar based sauce. The Brisket was the biggest loser. I envisioned slices of tender, perfectly smoked meat but it appeared to be the scraps left over after slicing, just shreds. The sides, though they had tempting names were poorly prepared. Beans uncooked and slaw that looked like it had been purchased in a bag at the local grocery. Never again.

Food was okay, nothing special. Service was pretty meh, but we were in a large group so it could have been because of that. For the Canadians, the easiest way to describe this place would be if the keg and Montana's had an enormous baby.

The place is gorgeous. Very interesting decor, which makes it more comfortable to enjoy. I've actually just enjoyed sitting in the bar area and outside, and that good enough for me. Food is good, tap beer is ice cold. When weather is not too hot, you'll have to fight for a table outside. The live music is a nice touch. Enjoy.

A place to go when you want something special in the way of atmosphere. Good food, prices a little high but worth it.

The Jackalope Ranch restaurant is awesome however it is decorated in cow rawhide, I'm vegan, but overall it's great atmosphere, it's a great music, sport bar and the food is. They have a salad with walnuts and balsamic vinaigrette dressing that is very good. The fries are not bad

I had the misfortune to go this restaurant on 6/21/2014. The ambiance of the restaurant is terrific. The food is sub-par, at least what was ordered. A glass of wine came in one of those stem-less wine glasses which would have been satisfactory, except that the external part of the glass was sticky, meaning that it was not clean. The wine itself was OK, but the temperature of the red wine was too warm, meaning that the wine emerged as being flat. This was soon replaced with another clean glass with a slightly cooler, temperature wise, wine. Then there was the Cobb Jackalope salad. Two were ordered at our table and mine didn't have any bacon in it, while the other one did. Attention to detail was clearly missing. Anyway, a very small container of bacon was brought to the table, nothing approaching the quantity in the "same" Cobb Jackalope salad next to me. Taste-wise mediocre. It all has to do with presentation and not what is on the plate. My lunch companions ordered a couple of hamburgers. The first one was as ordered. The second one had a request for cheddar cheese on it. Both burgers came with luke warm fries!!! There was no cheese on that hamburger. That was corrected, but it is an indication of not paying attention, whether it be the server and or the kitchen which comes across as them not caring. The luke warm fries were never corrected. So, if one doesn't mind sub-par, mediocre food with service to match, then just go there for the ambiance and consider it to be a high end sports bar to watch soccer or whatever on nice high definition displays. And consume enough alcohol so that the quality of the food is irrelevant. It would have been preferable to go to a Denny s where the food is predictable and the server pays attention to what you want and you get it.

One of our favorite restaurants in the valley. We always have a good meal there and often take guests to show them what a beautiful and unique place it is.

This was the 2nd time there, the 1st I had 1/2 rack rips. They were dry and over cooked. Last night I ordered chicken fried steak which have very little taste. The broccoli and carrots were very good and the ice water had a very bad taste would suggest they get a good filtering system which would prevent that. The service received was very good.

Waitress and ambiance was great, but food was so so and served cold. It wasn't very good BBQ.

Beautiful outdoor seating with portable heaters that were comfortable and effective. Wonderful Sangria. Nice early bird specials. This place is huge and the piano bar would be fun to see in action.

Rated best restaurant in the Valley last year by Palm Springs Life and it's easy to see why. The atmosphere is phenomenal. Just to upkeep an elaborate location of this size must cost serious bucks. The service and food are superb. I had the wagyu beef burger and it just melted in my mouth. Blew my mind. And that was a happy hour special! Off season you almost have this huge gorgeous place to yourself.

Slow service; red meat dishes very fatty; third bad experience. We are DONE with this place!!

I've been here 4 separate times and the food is always excellent but the service has been terrible every time
