I won't be returning due to the poor customer service, and flavorless menu. I haven't been to Jackelope Ranch in over a year, because of a bad experience which I received a $25 gift card afterwards. Today I thought I would see if improvement were made... Uhh, NO! After speaking with the manager, I felt somewhat better, but I probably will not be returning

Poor management of staff and food quality. So many things went wrong the night I ate here. They were out of guacamole, prime rib, brisket, whiped mashed potatoes, and probably much more because these were just the things we tried to order. The kitchen could not keep up with the volume of people dining there. We waited over an hour for our food. When our food finally got to us the meat was all over cooked and some of the sides were not hot at all. This whole experience was a big disappointment.

The atmosphere was good. My group was seated promptly as per our reservation and our waiter was very nice.

Ambiance is A+...Service D....Food....C..... really surprised at this as we expected so much more for such a nice atmosphere.... had to ask for service 5 times, waiters never came to touch base, drinks were empty, and this was a slow Tuesday am.... time for a wake up call management,,,,maybe a better place to drink, instead of eat.

We love the property here and in the past we have had some not so good experiences but I had family visit about 4 months ago and wanted to show them how beautiful it is here. I warned them that it is about the place not the food, but to my surprise it was excellent!! So today I tool my visiting family there again. The server was excellent but the food was awful!! The fried chicken sandwich had no flavor, the hamburger order medium came out well done without any lettuce or tomato, and the salad was good except for the shoe leather chicken on it. The place is getting some areas of being run down. The awnings at the outside bar are ripped up and hanging there. The chairs way out by the water are just nasty(I think they should be thrown away) and the chairs outside are the most uncomfortable chairs we have ever sat in. I'm really sad that the server experience once again because I truly do love the place. I just keep reminding myself that it's about the place not the food!!

Not surprisingly pricey, surprisingly worth it! A positively memorable experience in every way. The architecture, inside and out. The decor and atmosphere. The menu and the food. Best prime rib I've ever come across. Everyone enjoyed the evening and their meal. We had 10 peeps, fantastic evening, got out of there for under $400, including drinks, well worth it. Enjoy, recommended.

If there was a way to give this place negative stars, I would give it a negative 5 stars. I thought we would stop in for my mothers birthday. This is how the night went...

My drink came out ok.

When my girlfriend ordered her drink, this is where it got interesting. So my girlfriend orders a ketel one martini dirty, lol round two here we go. So we see him making the drink, he pours the olive juice in the drink glass and then starts to make the martini in the shaker without the olive juice. Now I've worked in bars and nightclubs, and I have a lot of friends in the buisness. But this isn't how I am accustom to making that drink. But maybe it's an acceptable way?? Anyways my girlfriend asked him if he could shake the olive juice in the martini. He gave her rude look and said "whatever it's going to taste the same anyways" then made the drink all pissed off. He set the drink in front of her and the threw the Ice from the shaker on the floor like he was pissed. After putting the shaker down and after already giving her the drink, he came over and rudely asked for my girlfriends id. Now there of course is no problem with this because she is over 21 but the only reason he asking her is because he is mad that she questioned him. She was irritated so she asked him why he was carding her now and he snapped back "I can card you whenever I want!"

At this point I'm know this is just going to get worse so I tell the ladies to go to the car and i ask for the check. Keep in mind we haven't had one sip from our drinks. I pay the tab and leave him a 4 cent tip.

As we are leaving my girlfriend asks to speak with the manager. One hostess goes to get the manager the other goes to tell the bartender. So the manager comes out and the bartender walks up behind us. I tell the manager what happened she offers no help. I realize I'm wasting my time so we decide to leave. As I'm walking away I hear him tell the manager my girlfriend had an attitude. Now she was upset but after how he treated her, she had the right to be upset. I'm not usually the type to care about an idiot running his mouth, it's not worth my time. But this time ihad to say something. So I confronted him. I went over and corrected his version of events and he proceeded to yell back at me with his manager standing there. We had words and I thought it was a better choice to leave than make a bigger scene.

On the way home I called the manager. She basically said she would talk to him and she wished I would have told her before I paid but there was nothing she could do now, unless I want to come back at another time. I WILL NOT BE GOING BACK!

The restaurant itself is visually exciting, but the food is totally disappointing. The ribs were ho-hum, the sides (slaw & black beans) were tiny and the service was as if the waiter was doing us a favour. You won't catch me back there. Too many other restaurants in the Greater Palm Springs - Indio area that really want to please!!!

Very nice and home like atmosphere, unfortunately my husband and I waited to be seated eventhough we reserved a table, we ended up walking around and finding our own table. A staff member walk over to greet us after we figured out what area of the restaurant was open at the time, didn't wait long to order our appetizers and drinks. My fried zucchinis were too thin leaving the flavor of the coating, no choice of dipping sauce. Have been here before, not for the food.

Very unique restaurant - beautiful interior, with a grilled meat theme of course. Great bar, exceptional service. The outdoor seating area is huge and comfortable. And the food was excellent as well. Reasonably priced, especially for the area where the resort gouge you for just about everything.

This is by far the most appalling service I have ever received. Please, stay away from the business and find another place that deserves it.

I have never been so disappointed in a business before. My wife recently threw a bridal shower at this place for her twin sister. I helped her plan this event for about a year, and watched how passionately she chose decorations, made invitations, and made things by hand to prepare for this special day. She insisted on having the bridal shower here at Jackalope Ranch because of its atmosphere and whole theme, even though they were going to be charging us quite a bit for only a party of 30 to have lunch ($50 per person after gratuity with only 3 menu options to choose from). My wife requested to have the tables set up outside so we could enjoy the scenery (which is beautiful) and the fresh air.

Okay, so now here are the complaints:

1. For $50/person, I would expect more than mediocre food. I've had better pulled pork sandwiches from KFC - and that is not saying much.

2. They used the wrong table clothes and napkins. My wife requested certain colors that would match the theme that she has been planning on for about a year. When we arrived early to start setting up, we saw that they were wrong and mentioned it to the staff who acted clueless and said that they could not do anything at that point because their boss was not there and they were AFRAID of getting in trouble.

3. The day of our venue, it was pretty warm outside (86*F to be exact). The restaurant employees set up all of the tables outside like they were supposed to, but were inconsiderate to the fact that they were about to have 30 ladies sit in almost 90*F weather without any shade for about 2-3 hours. Within the group, there was 1 pregnant women and about 5 elderly ones. After 45 minutes of sitting in the sun, they asked to waiters for one or two umbrellas that they could share. Everyone could see that there were about 5-6 umbrellas not being used in another seating area outside across from where our party was; but, the staff said that they would have to charge these elderly and pregnant women $100 PER UMBRELLA if they wanted to use them for the remaining 2 hours.
Upon hearing this, I asked our head server if he wanted to bring over 2 umbrellas for the girls to use, and I'll forget about the linens and napkins being wrong. Once again, this person tells me that he is AFRAID to help us because he might get into trouble from his boss. I'm fed up at this point, and walk away.
Then, 2 of the guests go inside Jackelope Ranch to find the manager. They make a deal with him that they can get 2 umbrellas for $50 dollars each that they will pay out of their own pocket. The manager agrees, and the staff then fetches 2 of the umbrellas from the other patio where they are still not being used.

4. The shower is done, now it is time to pay the bills. My wife should be paying about $1500.00 for everything, and the 2 other ladies should be charged $50 each for their shade rentals. They all give their cards to the staff alongside the appropriate billing info. This should be the easy part, right?
WRONG. The staff charges my wife NOTHING, one guest $54 dollars (they taxed the umbrella rental, which is illegal since it is not a resale), and the other guest $1608!!!!! THEY CHARGED ONE OF THE BRIDAL SHOWER GUESTS FOR THE ENTIRE EVENT, PLUS $100 FOR A RENTAL UMBRELLA, PLUS TAX ON IT!!!!

5. The obvious solution would be to refund/void the charges to the guest and to charge my wife for the event, and to charge both guests the same amount for the umbrella rental. But, it has been 4 days and the guest still does not have her money back in her account, and they WILL NOT refund her any money for her shade rental (the charge for $108 still stands.

This is by far the most appalling service I have ever received. Please, stay away from the business and find another place that deserves it.

One of the most beautiful places in the valley to enjoy. Great atmosphere. Lots of great detail in the buildings archatecture. Downside is the consistency of the service and the food. Best place to hangout is at the bar because the bartender is within reach. If u are lucky to get a good waitress and the chef is on a good mood u will have a five star experience.

O.M.Goodness, they have a restaurant inside Jackalope Ranch, it's called "The Chop House" it's a steak restaurant, and it's the tops, they are a 10 as well on a scale from 1-10. We came from West Los Angeles, where they have the best of restaurants, we know great food and we know bad food. The Chop House is the best in the valley, we walk in and the G.M. refers to my husband by his first name, and goes out of their way to greet us. I call it my restaurant, we did go to another steak house that is well known, but their service and food was a joke, never again. Give the Chop House a try, it is worth every penny you spend.

Went there for the early bird special. What a great deal and a great meal. The chopped steak was great, the vegetables were seasoned just right. Even got the dessert for a few dollars more - the ice cream sandwich, and the cookie was huge.

With the new chef and updated menu, you will not be disappointed. You can still enjoy bbq, but also enjoy seafood, steaks, and other meats. Excellent service. Excellent bar drinks. Outstanding atmosphere with live music. The upcoming outdoor grill this fall looks to take things up a notch. Just get rid of brass pigs and bring in brass Jackalopes.

Not Gluten Free friendly. No GF menu and few options available.

Service was awful! Restaurant wasn't busy and our waiter walked by multiple times without checking in or refilling our water (most of our glasses were empty or nearly so). No, we weren't tucked away in a corner! We were in a main section of the restaurant. We asked multiple times for water and it wasn't until another waiter jumped in to help that our water finally refilled our waters. Very frustrating I did enjoy my food though!
