I came in for a charger yesterday The man told me I was approved and he didn t know how that happen. I felt very broken after I was talkes to by the employees here at this business even after I had 8000 cash down I still was talked to like I had a dollar down. I bought the last car sold there in 2019. It was New Year s Eve and kudos to my salesman Chris Louth and Lisa Shain for staying after closing to finalize my purchase. It would have cost me more money if I had waited until the next business day because of new taxation law on trade ins and cost of truck license raising. They were determined to save me money. Overall pleasant experience. I highly recommend Jack Schmitt Chevy and Chris Louth.

If you want a bad experience buying a car, go to Johnny Londoff in Florissant. If you want to feel confident that the representatives you work with care about your opinions and try to get you the best deal, go to Jack Schmitt. I've worked with Aaron twice now and he does a great job. When I came in, the car I had come for had already been sold. Instead of selling me on another trim package or color, he made an effort to find what I wanted from somewhere else. I eventually decided on the one you see here, but I was extremely pleased to know he was willing to put in the work. Not once did I feel obligated to buy anything. Not once did I feel like he would be upset if I walked away from the deal.
The approval process took awhile to get through, but the institutions they were sending it through were severely backed up. In the meantime, Aaron kept us updated periodically. When it was time to sign the paperwork, my finance manager, Stormy, walked me through the back end products. I feel like she really listened to what I wanted in terms of a payment and gave me the options she thought would be best for me. The payment fell right within my budget and she managed to get me a better rate than I initially thought possible.
I usually don't take the time to write detailed reviews, but I have never been disappointed with Jack Schmitt Wood River and I will refer people to these guys until they go out of business or I die.

Amazing experience. Chris Louth was my sale agent and was so easy to work with. No pressure, had all the answers and went way and above in helping me pick out my new Blazer. They had a great assortment and every person I worked with from Chris to finance was great.

I was treated with respect and courtesy throughout the entire process, and I can't think of an item I wish they would have done better with. We purchased a vehicle for my 82 year old mother about a year ago. The next morning one of her tires was flat. We took it back and it was supposedly fixed. A couple weeks later it was flat again. Took it back again and this time they charged my mother to fix it. Within a week it was flat again. We ended up taking it back too many times (6-8) and each time we were treated rudely and told it was fixed. Each time it was not fixed. We were so frustrated because this is a tire and should not be a difficult fix. We ended up having a very long conversation with the service department. Someone finally cleaned the rim and replaced the valve stem (which is what we had requested multiple times.) After this final time, the tire was fixed. This was a very nice car that was supposed to be certified. Very disappointed with your service department and will be sure to not return to your dealership.

Left my truck with the service department to have the tires rotated. After HOURS of waiting I had to call them to see if my truck was ready to be picked up. I was told the service dept. closed at 5:00 pm and it was now going on 6:30pm ! Long story short, I found their treatment towards me very inconsiderate and I refuse to do any type of business with them in the future. Prior to this shabby treatment I had purchased two vehicles from them too..... never again!!!

We had such a wonderful experience at Jack Schmitt Chevy Wood River. This review is long overdue since we purchased our Lexus GS 350 in August 2019. After driving all the way from Mississippi to purchase the vehicle, our salesman (Tom Koch) was there to greet us before we could walk through the doors. Tom had the car prepared and ready in front of the building for us to test drive. After test driving, Tom took care of the transaction within 30 minutes with Linessa in the finance department. My dad, brother, and I were so impressed with the speedy service. Tom and Linessa were very kind and accommodating as well. Kudos to the two of them and the team at Jack Schmitt for having the best employees. We drove back 10 1/2 hours to Mississippi that same day and were happy to have found these guys!

Just simply horrible experience, i had a 8 a.m. monday appointment, at 4 p.m. monday i called and my truck was not even looked at. On tuesday i again called at 9:45 and still no answer, finally at 12:45 i get a call and what can i say just a horrible guess on a problem, just because my truck was under warranty. I sent one of my customers down to them, without a appointment on monday they got their timing chain replaced and the car back same day. I own my own automotive repair shop and this kind of service gives all of us a bad name I'm ashamed to be in the same profession as these people, no wounder everyone hates going to dealers.

By far the best car buying experience! The salesman was very personable and friendly. Not pushy at all. We had 6 children with us and I was impressed with how nice they were to them. Going out of their way to make them feel welcome. The other salesmen were polite and treated us like old friends. The receptionist was very welcoming and made it comfortable to be there. The buying process was quick and easy, and we highly recommend them!

Bought my car there a few years ago and they worked with me and the financing options I had available and I drove off satisfied. Have taken my car there afterwards several times for routine service and a few other minor issues I ve had with the car and their service center is top notch. I ve never had any surprises and they are always looking to take advantage of various warranties. My prior car was a Grand Prix and I never had a repair bill for that car less than $500 but for my Chevy I don t think I ve ever paid more than $150 for service on it. Will definitely be sticking with Chevy cars and if I wasn t moving to Phoenix next week, I would be definitely buying my next car from Jack Schmitt as well. They ve always treated me right.

I shopped on their website before I went in and I saw a Jeep I wanted so I filled out the pre approval online got a call to come in on Saturday. I went in and was told to speak with Terry. I asked Terry if they still had the jeep I looked at online he told me no they didnt so I told him I wanted something similar to the jeep so he told me about a dodge I asked if it had the back up and parking camera he told me yes it is fully loaded so the dodge was nice so I went with that after a day of not really being satisfied with dodge and FYI it DID NOT have the back up and parking camera I looked on their website as I know some dealerships will allow to change vehicles within 7 days if not satisfied so as I am browsing their site I see the Jeep I wanted in the first place so I called thinking maybe they didn't update their website so I called the number listed on THEIR website and Terry answers I simply asked if they still had the jeep he told me yes not knowing I was the customer he told Saturday they didn't so I asked when did they get the jeep he said Saturday evening I said oh I was there Saturday and you told me it was sold he goes on to ask how did I get this number as if it is not listed on their website I just told him he sold me a car Saturday and I am not very happy with and I really wanted the Jeep that he told me was sold he said they just got that jeep Monday and he goes to tell me he doesn't know what to tell me about not being happy with my purchase! I gave 2 stars because Stormi and Marci was really nice BUT TERRY IS A LIAR AND BECAUSE OF HIM I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DEALERSHIP!

I have always heard good things about Jack Schmitt Chevrolet, but I had a bad experience. A sales person called me about buying a car got my information including social security number and never called me back. I tried calling but he never answered. I spoke to another salesman, he said he would call me back after he found out what happened. Of course I never heard from him as well. I finally gave up, went to another car dealer and bought a brand new car. I have excellent credit, but no one at Jack Schmidt wanted to even deal with me. Not saying Jack Schmidt is a bad place, but they just didn t want to sale me a car.

DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM HERE. Bought a SS impala here and it has been in the shop 6,7 times since I have bought it. Even had to threaten Lemon law against them. The same problem is still happening with the car, they don t call me back or answer calls even after I have left numbers of voicemails with my phone number. I am stuck with a broke down car for the 6,7th time in less than a year I have had it. I wouldn t recommend buying a used car or even a new car from here. I had been inquiring about an Equinox and Marcy promptly replied to all of my emails. She was extremely helpful and I was greeted by friendly staff upon my arrival at the dealership. I took a test drive with Chris and we had a very enjoyable talk about my needs and I recieved answers to all my queries. The follow-up was also excellent. I left with a positive experience, that was void of any pressue to buy, and felt like it would be a good purchase when I was ready. I was treated like feces by this company.I was sent to this location by an online loan company. I spoke with Terry Burch over the phone and my name is Dawn Morris sounds really Caucasian. Over the phone really nice and sweet. I explained several times over the phone I would not be able to put anything down due my car being totaled I was waiting on the pay off from Gap we had a clear understanding. He says sure come in I can take care of you. I come in and he sees this brown face and everything started to change. Terry Burch gave me this look like oh this is a black girl. I didn t want this to be just a thought or just a feeling so I keep it in the back of my mind. I get a call the next day saying how he wouldn t be able to finance me I would need a co-signer. I come in the next day with a co-signer. I come in paper work already ready for us sent us to a young lady by name of Stormy, because he had to go cut his grass before the sun went down . Not to much of a priority huh. I knew then it was my color that didn t make me a priority my color did not even have the priority to be told the terms and condition of my loan . Stormy ask did you say you were putting 500 dollars and told Stormy like I told Terry the previous day no I did not agree to that! The loan terms I assumed would be adjusted because I stated several times on a recorded line and verbally to him I did not have the down payment. I was called a month later by Stormy and she asked if I had the 500 dollars I told her no because I did not agree to that. I called Terry Burch the following evening and I was hollered at told that legal proceedings would begin. I told him that I told him I could not put that amount down and when I left I told Stormy the same thing ! They money was not collected when I left the building because those were not terms that were agreed upon. I am basically being forced to put down 500 because it s on paper. Watch and read make sure your loan is well read to you. I was also told that my second key would be kept as well do you keep the key to your Caucasian customers cars. I have been approved for a auto loan through Regional acceptance why would you keep any of my property. I knew then my color played a factor. I called today because I haven t had the car three months I have 16 warnings and and oil change at 7 percent . I called Terry Burch to see what my next course of action would be I told him the sticker in the window stated that I would be due to be serviced on 9-19 he asked how many miles were on my car I told him 35,000. I was told I went over 7000 miles in less than 3 months that s correct and he was going to give me anything for free! I asked to speak to someone else because he was being rude and unprofessional I was told no ! I told him that he was being unprofessional and did he have a boss he continued to holler at me I knew this was definitely due to the color of my skin. I called back asked to speak with his boss he really was not to apologetic about the way his staff had treated me. He also went on to say I m not doing anything for you but an oil change! Do they talk to their Caucasian customers with such disrespect ! Brand new car and I am terrified to do any of my future servicing there due to the color of my skin I feel like will be treated unfairly by bigots! Racism is real and it is thriving at Wood River Chevrolet! I was not aware! IF YOU ARE BLACK DO NOT GO TO RUAL WOOD RIVER THEY WILL TREAT YOU LIKE FECES UOU DO NOT MATTER IF YOUR BLACK IF YOUR BLACK THEY THINK YOU WANT SOMETHING FOR FREE.DONT LEARN THE HARD WAY!

We had a wonderful experience here. Every single person involved in the process of purchasing our new car was knowledgeable, helpful, and kind. Their online sales staff was very helpful. Our sales rep was very courteous and patient with our family (2 small kids.) Their selection was great. Their pricing was fair. They gave us a good value for our trade. Even the financing was pleasant here. This was the best experience we've ever had car shopping!

I sent out an inquiry for the price of a specifically configured vehicle, their internet sales rep responded and told me they had a match and quoted a price lower than the other dealers, I drove 30 minutes to get to them only to find they didn't have anything even close to what I'd requested. Seemed like she just said whatever to get me to come in to the dealership so they could try to sell me what they had in stock.

Jeff in the service department saved the day! As I was driving thru southern Illinois on my way to St Louis my sunroof exploded. I called several Chevy dealerships along the way and none of them were willing to help me. Jeff informed the sales department that I was coming late and to open the garage for me so my car didn't sit outside overnight. Early the next morning he had ordered the part and cleaned up all the glass.....by the afternoon he had received the part and my car was ready to go the next day! AWESOME service!

I had an issue with the battery of my brand new car. I called Road Side Assistance and they were courteous and timely in their response. I called Tom Koche at Jim Schmitt Chevrolet in Wood River and talked Mr. Davis and Mr. Webber in the Car Service Center and got an appointment for service. They quickly diagnosed the problem and were kind enough to let me keep the car there a few short days until the necessary part came in. I had it back sooner than I expected and was treated very courteously! Great job done on all counts!!! Thank you Wood River Jim Schmitt Chevrolet !!! :)

I had a wonderful experience here. Chris Carr was an amazing salesmen. Never any high-pressure simply answered the questions that I asked and offered to show me different cars based on questions he asked in my answers. He asked me what my budget was and found me a car to stay right within my budget. Extremely polite. Overall my experience with this dealership was amazing I would recommend it to anybody. From the moment you walk in the door everyone was very friendly full of smiles and willing to do anything to help you.
