J.W Marriott Resort & Spa Khao Lak, Thailand Review

Good, very friendly service ... well-kept area, adequate activities are offered .... the infrastructure of the area is constantly improving, breakfast top ... Restaurants in the house .......

Surprisingky the Olive restaurant takes the credit for best Italian food outside Italy...Thai food is good but not the best.. Japanese was good too. Our accommodation was very comfortable and enjoyed direct access to the pool.. staff is great but like every where in Thailand their English is poor so communication is quite difficult..

Were at the Italian buffet, was ok.
But for the good stuff you have to complain to the boss ...

Large spacious rooms, very luxurious bath. Great service.The hotel is huge and getting out of the sea / dining room / pool involves walking. The place is away from the city and every trip entails a small fee. The hotel services are very expensive, drinks and food travel. Not in the city

Without hesitation, I would recommend the JW Marriott to any honeymooners or families looking for a quiet getaway in Thailand.

We booked a package via Luxury Escapes, and were extremely impressed with what we got.

The resort was beautiful, every room had access to the several hundred metres of swimming pool. Not only that, the staff were incredibly friendly, and went the extra mile to make your stay that much more enjoyable

It is too good a place. If you have the largest pool in the Orient, it is better to have a comfortable rest. And the spa is good and the local spa at the back of the main entrance is also good for the price.

A nice hotel with a nice garden. I think it is a hotel that can stay cheaply from the general sense of the Japanese.

The sunset seen from the lobby was a masterpiece. The premises are very well maintained. The pool is also beautiful.
Whenever I come to Khao Lak, I will repeat it.

Nice hotel, good staff. Annoying everything is plus 10% service charge and 7% vat but then all the high end places seem to think this is fine to do. Done eat there every nigh, I suggest getting out and exploring khao Lak !

Open and spread out. Its easy to find a quiet spot. Staff friendly and efficient.

What a place very peaceful would recommend swim up room

Problem with the cleaning of the rooms, they are not cleaned until 5 p.m. in the evening, we have to take showers with damp towels and on the day of departure, it is imperative to leave the room at noon .. not practical , not friendly when the departure is at 4 p.m., before their usual cleaning time,

This property is probably the best in Phuket area! Private pool in the 2 storeyed oceanfront villa coupled with excellent manager and staff mad the stay memorable!

Everything here is good, whether it is room, food, service, if you come to Khao Lak, you must not miss staying here.

Hospitality is classy that makes you feel like an important guest.

Buffet dinner at 900 net per person but you get grilled and fresh seafood. Grill menu, including pork, beef, delicious fish, rich sauce.

A lot of breakfast, including Thai, European, Indian, Japanese, and Chinese.

Wonderful hotel, with the largest pool in Asia. The beach was ok, the staff are attentive and polite and the food is delicious. The breakfast service was incredible and encompassed every food you would possible want to eat.

Not much to do near the hotel. The shopping arcade nearby is not what it seems.

Great place to stay, good service, informative staff. A well organized In-house Dive Shop, Sea Bees, with a full range of Courses, Try Scuba etc. The Beach is clean, water warm, the pool leading you through the Resort is amazing!
Food is great and fresh- something for everyones taste.
I'll come back!

Swimming pool is good, but there is a party party all night. Avoid weekends. Not recommended for those who want to relax quietly. Room service is also open for reference. Regret when ordering room service.

A frightful big and pretty swimming pool, just a short distance from Phuket airport and always a place to go. I have been there three times and want to go again. Full access room is love. Noodles that come out for breakfast are also delicious.

Been here more than 10 times. No. 1 Beach resort for my family. It is a wonderful resort with huge pool.( You can even bring your own rubber boat) You will love it here :)

Everything you'd expect from a Marriott. Well manicured grounds. Sprawling swimming pools. Pleasant staff. Unfortunately the lunch menu was a bit weak.

Very nice area and rooms, clean and good breakfast. But the service and prices at the restaurants are terrible. Just feel like they want your money and then they do not care about the rest. But the rest of the hotel is fine.

Sat and waited 30 minutes at the beach restaurant before anyone even arrived the first day. And then I got the answer "I will come soon" but no one came anyway. So finally had to go forward and say to staff who apologized.
Went there to the beach restaurant the next day and sat down at a table (and they saw that we did) and waited for someone to come forward and ask if we wanted anything. But no one cared again. And so we went from there and instead went to a restaurant outside the hotel where we got good food and service.

Also ate at the "Olive" restaurant in the hotel, where first asked what we wanted for water, still or bubbly. Then said still water, because I already knew before that the hotel has well filtered water that you get, among other things. when sitting by the pool completely free. But once we get the water, it's a bottle of Evian water (for 220 baht type (then there is a service charge, etc.)) that they have already opened and start pouring right before we even have time to say anything. As well as the food was nothing special, but just perfectly okay for the taste buds, but incredibly overpriced for being Thailand. What was good about the restaurant was the atmosphere.

5 stars for appearance and with what opportunities for activities are available here. 3 out of 5 stars for service and prices for what you get.

It a good memorable and excellent experience for me to stay here again. Well managed resort with professional and helpful staffs. Room was clean and comfortable with all amenities that you want. Swimming Pool here are awesome. Breakfast was great.

Huge buffet breakfast with most things made to order or made fresh as needed. Fantastic pool that winds around the resort. Depsite being quite full it never felt crowded. Small local restuarants and tuk tuks ( taxi's) just outside the resort. Resort is beach front property with a nice clean beach stretching for miles. Rooms are spacious, a great resort for families. will be back.

Good rooms and great service. Located on one of the longest beaches in the area with stunning views. A huge pool flows through the entire property connecting all rooms on the ground level.

Staff is friendly and almost everyone speaks English.
There are also Korean staffs who answer questions with a katok. We ate breakfast in olive or deli, but waterfront is under construction. Deli rice noodles are really delicious. Children also like it. Sakura is not an expensive Japanese restaurant. Just enough to fill the stomach. Restaurant is generally good in Bang Niang or Khao Lak town. The hotel has the advantage of easy eating and clean and luxurious atmosphere.

The hotel is very beautiful, good atmosphere, friendly receptionist, talking to each other, very friendly, the pool is big, very long, the room is beautiful, but if anyone comes The road here is doing its way. Be careful when eating outside at night. Because the road is very dark and dangerous

Just returned from eight nights at the JW Marriot and really enjoyed it. My wife and I had an fantastic time there. The rooms are lovely, the pool fantastic and the staff just friendly and helpful all the time. The food was definitely worth a thumbs up - the breakfast buffet was great and the dinners (particularly at Olive Restaurant) were marvellous. Well worth the visit and we will go back.

Beautiful location with large pool facilities, direct beach access and lots of leisure and spa facilities, Bike Rental, free WiFi. Tours and individual Taxi (Mr. White) available from reception desk. Rental car will be brought to Hotel. Not too much around in short walking distance. Beach walks are really good and can be extensive during low tide. Great Place!

This hotel is right by the sea. Khuk Khak Beach 1 is a big, comfortable and comfortable hotel.

Great hotel in Khao Lak. Very nice and well-kept rooms. Fantastic beach and great restaurants on the beach. Unfortunately in high season very expensive.

Hotel really at the top. Well located ! Hygiene of the room nothing to say. The bed ... the bed ... oh my God, amazing, I have never slept so well many many choices for breakfast. The private beach is very good. Very good hotel really.

Great Hotel, Great Service, Good Management, Great Rooms

We, my hubby, a daughter and myself stayed there for 12 days between 7 May and 18 May 2018.
This place is out of Thailand, more than you can expected from any part of Thailand ( my hubby and I been in Thailand for over 9 years ).

All staff are superbly friendly and helpful, there's nothing they can't do unlike anywhere else we experienced in Thailand.
The swimming pool is the best and longest we've been to in our world traveling lives last 16 years since we've been retired, constantly maintaining, cleaning staff in the water somewhere around the pool.
It's more than clean just perfect.

If anyone wants to taste the best part of Thailand this is the one in terms of the service, beach, man made the pool and the environment.
I can highly recommend it to anyone without any hesitation and wish them give more stars than available.

Stayed here for 2 weeks and we loved every minute. Amazing staff who are so friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. Hopefully back again next year.

Exceptionally good hotel on a beautiful beach. The grounds of the hotel are amazing and surrounded by a 1.8km swimming pool which you can swim around should you desire. Staff are exceptional from bar staff, restaurant, front desk and housekeeping and everything in between. It's a family hotel but there are parts of the beach that are 12+ such is the size of this place. It's got 3 restaurants, 3 bars, a gym, and an infinity pool bar. The beach bar is good for grabbing a drink and watching the sun go down and it's reasonably priced as well. All in all an exceptional hotel away from the hustle and bustle of Phuket.

The price is relatively okay, but totally worth it.
A huge pool for kids with a water slide, right on the beach.
