Nice place

Centrally located, literally step onto the beach. A little bit tired but clean and reasonable value.

Fantastic place. Great service and amazing friendly staff.

Excellent and reliable, clean and neat as a pin, enjoyed staying with the Stamford Grand, it made my trip enjoyable and welcoming to home home to.

Wrong room at first and had to revisit reception to get the room I paid for which was king bed superior room. New room was also incorrect with two queens but we couldn't bothered at this stage to change again. Towels in the bathroom were worm and had holes, The actual room is very dated and needs a good refurbishment. Overall I would not recommend this hotel. It's such a shame because the location is fantastic and the area has some great restaurants, it just needs a great hotel to match.

I Love staying here for the special Olympics. The staff was very nice and they always ask how we went on. Very clean rooms and nice views looking over sea.

We were here for one night, the location is amazing right on the beach. Near the Glenelg Beach one is spoiled for choice, so many bars, cafes and restaurants. If you brought kids the Beach House water a games facility is a great way for them to burn off energy. Back to the hotel. The staff are fantastic from the concierge to the front desk. Everything was easy. Bed was the best ever, room was well appointed. Great value. Will return.

Tired, worn and reeking of air freshener, painfully slow internet and a restaurant that cannot choose, char or serve a steak, this is a hotel to be avoided.

Comfortable rooms, super nice staff and an easy check in and check out.
It's a close walk to cafes and restaurants and right on the beach. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel was very good, with great views of the beach from my room. The only issue we had was the window couldn't be opened to allow sea air in the room. The price of the accommodation was expensive and overpriced.

There are many different facilities here to keep you entertained. The view is great and the location is just very convenient, with the beach and a bunch of restaurants and shops just a couple minutes away. If you don't feel like walking, the hotels own restaurant, offers great food. Though we did experience long wait times for lunch, it was a good experience overall.

I went here for my mums wedding high tea. The room was lovely and we watched the subset out of the floor to ceiling windows - the wait staff were also excellent. The actual quality of the food and price tag attached not so much.

A excellently located hotel, right on the beach at Glenelg. The decor is dated and needs a refresh, but everything was clean and today. The hotel is well located to shops, restaurants and public transport.

For anyone looking for a hotel in by the beach in Adelaide Glenelg and plan on having a romantic stay, this was a great hotel just for that. Right on the beach, ocean view room that we had was perfect and we chose the 'Romance and seduction' package as it was simply brilliant! We had a great time staying at the Stamford Grand Adelaide. Tip: pay the extra for an ocean view room.

Was there for a wedding and due to the weather, used a room inside. Reception held in the "ballroom" and the layout was excellent. The dishes on the night could not be faulted

Location location! Staff are helpful and polite. Food is good. Rooms are comfortable.

Great location and very good rooms. We had a corner suite facing the city. Only small drawback was the lack of getting fresh air into the room as all windows were unable to be opened. Very helpful staff especially on the front desk and those serving breakfast. We will come again.

Beautiful hotel right on the Glenelg beach. The location is perfect! The room we had was very nice, big and nicely renovated. The service was fantastic!!!

The best place to stay right on the beach. Beautiful view of the sunset. Close to public transport and lots of walking paths. Lots of first class restaurants and the marina is only two minutes walk.

Terrible experience all round on my wife's birthday.

Unable to access room as key card didn't work so had to find cleaning staff to gain access (had several large bags so going back to reception was difficult without assistance)

When finally in the room I phoned reception 4 times without answer, 2 calls to room service and again, no answer. Eventually got through and waited 1.5 hours for an ice bucket (it never Arrived).

Gave up in the end and headed out for food and drinks. Wife's birthday felt like such a let down! For over $200 a night I'd expect better

After spending 275 on a room plus 100 bond and 200 on dinner there we went to the bar to get a can or bottle of coke the lady wouldn't serve us she couldn't even tell us how much a coke was she just said maybe try down stairs was extremely rude then we order a pizza to our room it was half cooked and for $30 you'd expect a decent pizza we also found cobwebs and a bottle under a cubored with a dirty tampon in the bottle.. then a week later after staying 1 night they take another 375 out of my partners account for no reason and have not reseaved the bond money back either all they could say is its not our fault its the banks when clearly they've taken extra money absolutely ridiculous would never in my life recommend staying here!!!

Not too bad, room was tidy. Probably almost due for a refurb but friendly staff and good service.

5 stars for location, location, location. Situated right at the start of Jetty Rd, almost at the base of the pier, this Grand hotel has a lot going for it. Rooms are basic but make up for stunning beach views. Pay a touch more and book an ocean view with balcony, you won't regret it. Hotel has an excellent pool, restaurant, gaming and some shops. Plenty of parking, just validate your ticket at reception. Foodies rejoice, you'll need a month of Sunday's to get through the offerings on Jetty Rd.

Room was clean and comfortable. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location on the beach and walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

Had a pleasant stay at the grand. The staff were great. The room was larger than a lot of hotels that I have stayed in. It was a standard room. Good bed and clean sheets and room. Nice bathroom. Hotel is getting older but the still in good condition. Being winter I was surprised how busy it was. But the rates are good this time of year. The breakfast buffet was good and very reasonably priced.

Great location but the outer door seals need replacing. The wind howls like stuck pig!

Mother's day brunch yum yum second year with more on agenda every year

My wife and I were invited to breakfast at the Grand, we expected good food in a restful setting. Pity it was not we expected. Food was mediocre and not hot enough, only thing I had that was hot was the freshly fried eggs. The restaurant was overhauled and crowded, I found it very poorly managed. The best comment I could make was the staff were trying to make the best a poor set up. I think if this is what a premier hotel in SA portraits itself interstate or overseas visitor. may think twice about coming back to SA. It is a pity because you only get one chance to make a first impression.

Overrated! good bar for the young! Ignored if your older! Staff not helpful! 2 stars for location

Went there for breakfast with a colleague. It was bit expensive for my liking but food was good. Lots of different options to choose from. Over all it was satisfactory experience.

The breakfast ran out of scrambled eggs, long line at the coffee machine.

Attended a conference in ballrooms 1and 2. A reasonable, typical venue with good and plentiful food in the breaks.

Great service. Stayed here for two nights for a work conference. Conference facilities were good, food was good and Chad the concierge was great in making us leave with smiles on our faces. Would definitely recommend to others

Am currently in the middle of a Christmas/New Year holiday with family from overseas (I live in Adelaide). Returned 2 days ago to find housekeeping had left a black bin liner with broken glass in it, which had pierced the bag and left some black liquid seeping onto the bench top...rang reception who sent someone to remove the bag & wipe up the liquid but who didn t disinfect the benchtop...and the bag had been left next to some of our food we had brought in...
All we got was it s (housekeeping) been outsourced and we apologise ...would ve expected better customer service from a 4-star establishment....most disappointing...

The hotel staff were extremely friendly and we had free bike hire on arrival. Room was clean.

Prices were fair, drinks were delicious. Only went into the Cocktail Lounge so we didn't see much of the hotel, but the staff were lovely.

Great hotel and the staff are fantastic. Food was lovely. Right on the beach as well as close to restaurants and entertainment.
