Was going to call and get information as a new patient as I am looking for a PCP... Heads up, if you call, there are 4 options from the menu. 0 is not an options, and 4 is to repeat the options being one of the options. The other three options are not for new patients. Also, based off the fact that they include in their voice message that they experience high call volumes, and I'll remind you 0 is not an option, it comes across that they may be too busy for individual attention to care. In the end: I am looking elsewhere to have my phone call answered to get set up as a new patient.

Dr Rose is amazing! She tracked my heart murmur over the years and noticed it was louder, arranged for me to have an ekg where it was found I had stenosis of my aortic valve. I was only 52. Before and after surgery I was told by nurses and even the physical therapist at the hospital how lucky I was to have a Dr who caught this, most would shrug it off, given my age or the Dr's workload. I highly recommend!!
Dr. Anderson is incredibly smart and has an excellent manner about him. He answers questions thoroughly and is very accessible. I can usually get a same day appointment for illnesses.
My husband and I see Dr. Anderson and Dr. Peele (respectively), and both have been great. The nurses are always absolutely wonderful, the front desk has been professional and quick, and our experience with the doctors has been very good. As with all doctors, they can't read minds, so you have to bring something to their attention if you want to discuss it with them. But every time I've done that, Dr. Peele has taken everything very seriously and taken any measures required very quickly.
Their communication system is interesting. When I was trying to become a new patient, it was honestly pretty bad- their phone system is definitely designed so that they don't have to talk to you on the phone. When setting up both myself and my husband as new patients (different times), I had to leave messages with the "new patient" office, and if I missed their call back, I had to leave another message. However- once you're a patient and have access to their online portal, it's great. They still don't have any options to talk with them on the phone, but I've messaged them several times through the portal, and they always get back to me with very thorough and helpful answers within a couple of hours, max. It's also really nice to have access to all of your medical records and test results that way. When you have such a great medical staff, not being able to talk on the phone really isn't such a big deal.
> one time I asked prescription for Varicella shot and they told me to get from different doctor, really??? > recently contacted my doctor via portal and never got an reply. Very disappointed
I have been a patient of Dr Grace Rose for about 27 years. She is caring, thoughtful, understanding and thorough. I moved to Durham six years ago and I still travel to Raleigh for my appointments with her. She is the best. If she feels that your condition warrants a specialist, she does not hesitate to recommend. Thank you Dr. Rose.
I can only say good things about Dr. Peele; she is the best! The front office staff, however, leaves much to be desired. One lady in particular is borderline rude. The first time she cut me off in mid sentence, I thought it was an isolated incident. Yesterday, she seemed annoyed that I even showing up to be checked in; like I m inconveniencing her. Next time I will get her name and lodge a formal complaint.
The lack of communication and individual care provided was subpar to say the least. The only form of communication you will receive is through a patient portal and they do not respond in a timely fashion.
Prescriptions were NEVER sent on time and no one ever returned my phone calls. Including a phone call I made to the office manager to address these issues the call was never returned.
I addressed this several times with the doctor and the nurse. Nothing changed. Doesn t matter if you send your prescription request in a week early, 2 days early, or the day of; your prescription will not be sent to your pharmacy on time. Also, was even told I had to make an appointment to see my doctor the day my prescription was gone before she would fill my prescription with no advanced notice.
At one point I didn t get a response for almost 2 weeks then the doctor finally returned my message with a message saying sorry she was on vacation. Everyone is entitled to a vacation but how about an automated response that informs you that the doctor is on vacation?
I was also told by the doctor that they would not send a test to labcorp unless my insurance covered it and they would check before doing so. Clearly, they did not check because I then received a bill in the mail months later and had to pay almost $200 out of pocket. Addressed this with them and was told it was my responsibility.
Also, the front office staff is rude and very unwelcoming. Every time I went for an office visit my copay was a different price and they were very unhelpful to help me figure out why.
The lack of professionalism and communication skills from the doctors, nurses and the office staff at Neuse Valley is a disgrace to the health service industry.
I don t normally write reviews and I waited till I switched doctors to see if the issues I was having with Neuse Valley were common. Let me tell you they are not. My new doctor uses the same portal and everyone one of my messages have been responded to in less than 24hrs, all of my phones calls have been returned in less than 24hrs, and my prescriptions have been filled on time and when I say on time they were sent to the pharmacy in advance so I was able to pick up my prescription and have the medicine when it ran out. Not chase down a doctor to fill my prescription and get it when the day is half over or the next day.
If it s this hard to complete simple tasks such as prescription refills and returning phone calls I can t risk if something serious happened to me and my health that they would provide me with this lack of care and you shouldn t either.
