J.W Marriott Resort & Spa Khao Lak, Thailand Review

It took a lot of time just to go around, it was a lot of fun in the large pool.
The number of items for the breakfast buffet is plentiful and tired. I liked the quiet environment from inside Phuket Island.

This place is awesome. It's so big that it never feels busy. OMG the breakfast.

Fan that can not be turned off
Lamps that do not work
Clogged sink
Smell of mold in the room
Give bikes without stopping
An old-fashioned double mattress when one moves the other swings
The majority were treated but robbed of our free time

The hotel is large and the walk to the sea is long
A quarter of an hour's drive from the city

Breakfast is excellent
Quality food and endless selection

Good and quiet hotel area. Upper tourist class in the style of a Thai village. All houses are located on a pool which is laid out like a canal. I was able to swim to the beach from our room directly via the 3km long pool.

Local food and excursions can be booked to the left and right of the hotel ... if you like it clean and are not looking for cheap, you are well served here.

This place is like heaven on earth. Even the smallest detail has been thought of. Both from the resort itself and the efforts of the amazing staff and the food.

I wish I could give 10 stars!

Like many of the other reviewers I did not want to leave! What a beautiful resort - the pools and long, long lazy river are stunning and the beach is absolute beast - well over 15km long and unspoilt with no rubbish or stinky seaweed to ruin the view.

Although we are not gym people whilst on holiday we loved the free yoga and stretching sessions, plus there s bikes, SUP and kayaks available for free for guests.

Just outside the hotel are some great beach bars where you can get cheap local food with your toes still in the sand, and a very reasonable Thai massage whilst listening to the sound of the waves. The town is a short shuttle ride away for other bits and pieces that you might need if you find the hotel shops a bit pricey.

What was a really touch for couples on a romantic break was that as although the resort is - as you would expect - very popular with families, there are adults only areas of the beach, pool and breakfast where you can escape the noise and splashing to chill out in peace. Such a nice touch, I wish more hotels would do this!

There was a fire dance and a live Thai dance at the dinner show.

Fire dance is very powerful.

I can only give 5 stars to this hotel as it is faultless. If more star were allowed, I would give them. We stayed here for 10 nights covering the Christmas and New Years period. We absolutely loved our time here. Our room was perfect and the hotel was amazing. All the restaurants were amazing with top quality food and service. The beach was beautiful and clean. Best of all the staff were fantastic. From topping our water regularly on the beach to serving food to us, they just did it with a smile. Nothing was too much for the staff.
The quality of the food and drinks were of extremely high standard and value for money. The New Years party was awesome!!
Many thanks to Chef Jai for his welcoming manner and looking after us. A special thanks to Chef Mohan for making Chicken on the bone curry for my husband, who absolutely loved it, and paneer curry for me:). Chef Ka and Chef Lin made a special effort to make a 6 course vegetarian meal for me for a very special and romantic dinner in the gazebo on the beach. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect holiday, as it has it all!!! Once again many thanks to all the staff for making our stay so great.

Nice resort but very busy and staff does not work from the heart.You feel a number or money machine.

Amazing Andaman sea Relax for you at JW Mariott Thailand.

The hotel is very luxurious, room is comfortable with a really nice bathroom and amenities. Good size balcony with loungers. The hotel is right on the beach and the food is good. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The problems with the hotel is that all food and drink is extortionately expensive- we travelled for a week in Thailand before coming here and the rise in prices is staggering. 10% service and VAT is also added to all orders which tripled the cost of a drink compared to the shop just outside the hotel gates.

Also, the hotel left a note in our room to tell us that a 3- day wedding is taking place in the hotel- which means that large sections of the swimming pool, including bars, are closed to hotel guests and one of the restaurants is completely closed for an evening. The beach and infinity pool is closed for an entire day of our stay. If you are paying for a holiday, I wouldn t expect to be banned from certain areas of the hotel. Shuttle buses to other destinations outside of the hotel have been offered, which we ll have to use as otherwise there won t be any room in the hotel to find a sun lounger.

Hospitally are also quite good especially for chef, royalty manager, and room manager.
Room are well renovated but smell feeling a little bit strange in the room ( Maybe foundation of building?)
BBQ buffet is valuable and guest should join.

Incredible service, gorgeous room (duplex suite), shockingly good food, fantastic kids area (the whole hotel, staff included, is super toddler friendly), amazing pool, beautiful beach... Could not ask for a nicer experience.

It has been an amazing week relaxing, eating and enjoying the pool. Our kids enjoyed kids club and we all loved the activities. Felt very spoilt.

Breakfast Term at the Olive restaurant, the service is very good, all friends are very impressed.

The rooms are beautiful, very clean, very like the swimming pool. Around the hotel is 1.9 km long.

About the hotel I can not say anything, just that it looks great. We were only in the spa. Sensationally great! I can only recommend it if it is a bit expensive, that is worth it !!

Luxury, Pampering & Love Unbound!

The stay at JW Marriott Khao lak was a dream come true right from the minute we stepped in. WE had chosen this place to celebrate a special occasion and had invited more than a dozen of our good friends and property & staff took such good care of us (despite being super full and hosting a big event!) we felt like we were having our ceremony in someone s private palace! The property is Luxury and Style without the Gaudiness of a beach resort and though it was huge, we never felt the crowd. I

It seemed like each and every member of the staff had been informed about our special event, every individual went out of their way to make our special occasion way more than special!

LOCATION: Fantastic location right on the beachfront and an quick ride away from all other key points of interest

DINE + DRINK: Really good choice of Bars and restaurants on site. The restaurant serving breakfast came with a fine spread of Local and International Dishes. The CZAR bar near the lobby had so much character. But the highlight was the lovely BEACH bar and restaurant. Never felt like leaving the place!

ROOM: I stayed in 3129 which was a DUPLEX SUITE, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Sweet view of the Lan; SIZE: Very spacious and HUGE room split between 2 levels like a LOFT apartment!; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Stand in shower; TOILETRIES:

FACILITIES: Excellent Fitness center with a good range of Cardio equipment, free weights and machines and also came with a Studio room for special classes. The property also houses an excellent main swimming pool that is quite huge, and the lagoon that runs around the property is a special treat for Couples and families alike

SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered and well taken care of. Special Shout out to ALEXANDRA who took care of reservations and made our stay extra special, KEITH MASSEY (the GM) and NICOLAI who made the welcome experience delightful and the staff who had specially hand picked the CRAFT BEERS as a gift for the anniversary we are celebrating! We felt like we were more at someone s house than a hotel! Pampering to a different level!!!

HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that works well all over the property. Big Plasma TV screen dishing out dozens of channels spanning sports, news, music, movies and a wide variety of entertainment in multiple languages

Quiet in the new renovate room looks a lot better A kilo long pool Using the privilege to travel around Thailand, it's very worthwhile. One more time next month. The staff are very polite.

A well manage resort, for whom like to get the best service in Khao Lak.

And the feeling of returning, JW Marriott is really good.

Great place to stay, good service, informative staff. A well organized In-house Dive Shop, Sea Bees, with a full range of Courses, Try Scuba etc. The Beach is clean, water warm, the pool leading you through the Resort is amazing!
Food is great and fresh- something for everyones taste.
I'll come back!

My family and I stayed here for 8 days. The experience was beyond amazing. Our room allowed us access to the lagoon pool at ease and at any time we wished which is great when you have young kids. Fantastic pool design we have never seen before. The food was spectacular!! We especially loved the buffet at Olives (Italian themed). The staff are so kind and lovely and were always doing their best to help us. The beach and views were also amazing. It s definitely a place we would highly recommend. We will be back and next time bring all our friends along. Thank you for a special and memorable stay

We had a wedding at this place and we were very happy with service and resort is very beautiful and infinity pool is awesome. The food was very tasty and they made what ever we ask . If I have to do destination wedding in Thailand this is the place. I recommend to everybody.
