The best hotel I have stayed at Thailand. Everything is here, no need to go outside. This resort gave me the vacation exactly I want. Kind staffs, new room with good condition, nice breakfast. Nothing to point out.

Super hotel, stayed here for 15 days. I will say that these were my best 15 days. It is better to take the room on the 1st floor with access to the pool, more expensive but justifies its money. A bit expensive restaurants.

Amazing resort . The beach is beautiful, the food is great . The swimming pool is 1.2 kilometers long . My family stayed there for 6 days and enjoyed every moment . I don't usually enjoy returning to a resort or country twice because there's so many beautiful places in the world to see , the Marriott is an exception . We definitely intend to come back . Can't go wrong

Khao Lak's largest pool (3.5 km) resort, unfortunately not a running pool. It can be enjoyed because it is properly arranged in a shallow place in the middle. The private beach is also well-equipped, making it a great place to play. If staying here is burdensome for financial or other reasons, it is also a good idea to go late at lunch and check in and go back to the hostel after enjoying the pool and beach. There is a scuba diving snorkeling equipment shop, so you can solve both activities at the resort. There are two pool bars, and there are sections where bubbles rise, so make sure to use them properly.

Very nice hotel, completely luxurious. A lot of things are very pricey. However, plenty of small local restaurants nearby to have some other dinner experiences. Breakfast at the hotel is excellent and service throughout is superb and friendly

The hotel is very luxurious, room is comfortable with a really nice bathroom and amenities. Good size balcony with loungers. The hotel is right on the beach and the food is good. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

The problems with the hotel is that all food and drink is extortionately expensive- we travelled for a week in Thailand before coming here and the rise in prices is staggering. 10% service and VAT is also added to all orders which tripled the cost of a drink compared to the shop just outside the hotel gates.

Also, the hotel left a note in our room to tell us that a 3- day wedding is taking place in the hotel- which means that large sections of the swimming pool, including bars, are closed to hotel guests and one of the restaurants is completely closed for an evening. The beach and infinity pool is closed for an entire day of our stay. If you are paying for a holiday, I wouldn t expect to be banned from certain areas of the hotel. Shuttle buses to other destinations outside of the hotel have been offered, which we ll have to use as otherwise there won t be any room in the hotel to find a sun lounger.

5 star hotel far from the crowds of Phuket. If you are looking for calm, deserted white sand beaches for several kilometers, you will be served since there is nothing around the complex. Level catering, you have the choice between a Thai restaurant, Japanese, Mediterranean (Italian), international cuisine (open only in the morning and midday) and deli (sandwich, pastry). The rooms are very spacious. It all depends on which wing your room is in, but be prepared to walk because of the size of the hotel. At the beach, no need to run early in the morning to reserve a place, there is always free seats. At the pool level, +/- 3km long with prohibited areas at - 12 years if you are looking for absolute calm. Only downside, the seats are hard and are without mattresses.

We had a short stay at JW Marriott Khao Lak to check out this property and were positively impressed by almost all aspects of the stay, the service, the room, the pool, the beach, dining, etc. and can highly recommend it.

I booked two rooms and as Ambassador Elite one of them was upgraded to a duplex suite. The hotel closed during covid from April to October last year and they took the opportunity to renovate the rooms. Based on a close-up of the cushions, upholstery, the hardwood floors, etc. we might have been among the first to stay in that specific room because everything looked great. The suite was spacious at 85 square meters and even had two full bathrooms, a small one near the entrance with shower only, and a larger one on the upper floor off the bedroom, with shower plus a separate bathtub. Unfortunately because of the layout of the resort none of the rooms have sea views and instead overlook various parts of the swimming pool.

Given low occupancy only one restaurant was open; it had seating both indoors and outdoors. I thought the design of the restaurant was pleasant but the main positive was that instead of covid cutbacks for breakfast, there is now a very extensive a la carte menu with great choices either international or Thai served fresh out of the kitchen.

Happy hour was at the beach bar which is in a killer location on the beach looking straight at the sunset plus live music. I thought the beach was a strong point of the hotel: it was very long and walkable, unlike some hotels in Phuket which are either on a much smaller beach, or you need to cross a busy road to reach the beach, or you need to take a shuttle to go to a public beach.

The swimming pool has lots of twists and turns which give direct pool access to almost all, if not all guest rooms on the ground floor of the low-rise buildings, in addition to the large pool section in the middle of the resort with a swim-up bar which was unfortunately closed due to lack of guests.

Overall our stay was excellent and in this price range it would be hard to beat. JWM is currently priced much lower than the room rates at Pullman and also cheaper than at Le Meridien nearby despite the fact that JWM is a higher level brand than LM. In times of high occupancy perhaps it would not be the quietest resort for couples but it would be a good choice of families with young children thanks to the kids club and the several games available on the resort. For people looking to pay 500 USD per night for a luxury villa with private pool and sea views then obviously JWM would not be a good fit but in fairness in this price range JWM executes very well on what it was intended to be in my opinion.

The dream hotel is located on the edge of the national park, directly on the long, flat, natural and white sandy beach of "Khuk Kak". The center of Khao Lak with some typical restaurants, shopping and entertainment venues can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. The hotel offers a shuttle for a fee.
At 1.9km, guests are offered the largest contiguous lagoon pool area in Southeast Asia!
In the three specialty restaurants (Thai, Japanese & Italian), the dishes are prepared by chefs from the respective countries.
If you book half board, you have the choice of eating lunch or dinner next to breakfast. The specialty restaurants are included at HP, however a reservation is required to guarantee a place. The hotel can only be booked well with breakfast, because there are various dining options in the immediate vicinity.
Once a week there is a night market with local suppliers on the hotel premises.

pleasant despite its size
I report another person's comment because she is perfect in describing it.

"The first impression upon arrival is of a place where water plays a primary role. Not only that of the sea, but also the blue of the pools that wind like avenues through the resort. The beach, very long and suitable for traveled effortlessly for kilometers, it shows every day the spectacle of the effects of the tides
The structure is well designed, with great attention to detail, both in the common areas and in the rooms. The balcony is very pleasant, rather spacious, equipped with two armchairs and a large one
and comfortable sofa stretched out "
In early March, the facility was not crowded.
I stayed in March 2014

The 5th visit and again the vacation was a dream. Many details continue to improve and the hotel always tries to cater to the vacationers individually.
We'll be back in April and are already looking forward to it.

We had an amazing 8 night stay. The attention to detail of the house keeping staff was outstanding. The breakfast is one of the best I have encountered compared to other resorts, the staff kept my 7 month old very entertained and their attention to her was very welcome. The layout of the hotel is spot on, the right amount of kids / Adults only areas and we thoroughly enjoyed all three restaurants. I Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Very nice hotel area, very friendly staff. Spacious generous facility, pleasantly quiet without animation. Pleasant international audience, good management. Plant is highly recommended, but only if there is no Indian wedding, then it is partly noisy.

we visited this hotel for 14 nights from the end of November 2018. if you are considering visiting & looking for an honest review then i hope this helps you. excellent staff genuinely friendly & can make you smile very easily with there lovely personalities and great sense of humour in the beach bar, swim up bars for sure but also all round the hotel. Location to beach fantastic, beach its self..wow !!, a Hollywood film moment the first time you see it, with great sun beds/umbrellas & free water sports if you
fancy it. Hotel food really really enjoyable, both breakfast & evening meals should you choose to eat in the hotel. Drinks are quite expensive relative to local bars/restaurants but they are premium brands so its to be expected. Its a 15 minute taxi ride to bars/restaurants when you fancy a break. plenty of local food & bars to choose from.
The rooms, kept very clean & tidy, the air conditioning is superb, and required ! bathroom /toilet spotless, TV station selection good. WiFi, appeared to have good children facilities if you need them but not so many children around during our stay, mainly adults. The hotel has excellent, swim up bars/infinity pools all well maintained & clean. A small negative point, the two rooms we used (2103 & 2114) the wardrobes and bedroom furniture are looking a bit tired and worn in both rooms. Overall a thoroughly enjoyable vacation & would not hesitate to recommend a visit to this hotel & location.

The staff was outstanding in kindness, professionalism, and most helpful; the environment was heavenly; the food was abundant, varied, and of high quality; the activities were just enough to keep me going (to work off some of the wonderful food!) and the experience was one in a million. An amazing experience over all!

Amazing resort, but everything is sooo expensive. Overpriced to 15x times to real thai prices. It is also more a family resort with many children. Other than that the people are very friendly.

Nice spacious area. Huge freshwater pool area. EC room all with access to the pool. Room and terrace nice and big. We had booked rooms in the adult area. It does not exist. Here everywhere families with children. But there is a separate breakfast area without children and smokers. There is also a large pool for + 12 years. Also on the beach a child-free area. Only for the rooms there is no pure adult area. Breakfast buffet versatile. The quality of the food rather mediocre. Restaurants good but not cheap. On the beach there are smaller restaurants which are much cheaper and good. Spa area beautifully decorated. Cost about 1,00 / min.
Beach was great. Fine sand, clean, enough beach chairs available.

Lovely place with a long pool running through the resort. Excellent staff and service. Attractive restaurants. ATM machines available.

Restaurants are very expensive but there are 4 beachside "shack" type Thai restaurants adjacent to the hotel beach which are also very good. We can especially recommend Pinkys. Some do non-Thai food like steak. Also a trip to the nearby Blue Mist Restaurant at the back of a mini truck thing is fun - takes a few minutes. Transport to it is free and can be requested via the Concierge.

The bathtub, shower and walls in bathroom are some kind of ageing ceramic which do not look appealing. The bathtub is gigantic but we didn't like to use it. It all works fine, though.

The beach is beautiful but the water is not very clear. Long stretch of beach that is pleasent for long walks.

Sun loungers do not have matresses so can get a sore bottom but we have been told that they will be getting some in a couple of months time. We used cushions from the room.

We recommend the local area day trip which includes a long stretch of beautiful river rafting, punted by young men pointing out snakes sleeping in trees, a turtle sanctuary, a waterfall, and a small sandy beach called "Small Sandy Beach"!

For sunbathing, you do have to "bagsy" loungers early morning but some still available until 9 - 9:30. A tip: many don't realise that there are very private green hedged areas along the water (near the fountains) that can be used by anyone. They are wonderful and spacious.

Delicious ice cream at the Deli.

Overall, a great place to stay!

Been here many times this time the hotel shows it age and is in need of mainteance. Also there service is not so impressive - understaffed and inexperienced staff had to wait 30 - 40 mins for dinner on 2 nights had to ask 4 times for water in 2nd night.

Pity... used to be very nice when it first opened.

Don't think we will be back again.
