The place is cold, robotic and soulless. The signs are rubbish. I was called for my blood test and the sign pointed one way but apparently the room I was meant to go to wasn't in that direction at all. Missed my time and had to wait. Wasn't put back into the system, it was only when a nurse asked what I was waiting for that they realised I was still there to be seen. Waste of time. But seriously, who on EARTH designed the place? Its inhumane.

I hate this hospital. They treat people like sick animals. The staff are unprofessional. The hygiene of the wards for children and intensive care is worser than public toilet and I mean the worst hygiene is any hospital even when compared to a third world hospital. My experience was unpleasant and my health deteriorated. This is why I believe it should be shut down for good.

The psychiatrists and mental health nurses were very helpful and friendly. They made sure to discharge my mother at the right time and they didn't over medicate her. Bravo! Plus I love the decor and the style of the new hospital. Lifts up your mood when your coming to visit a patient in such a sorry state. To all who are dealing with a loved one who is suffering from a a mental health issue or any issue for that matter; you will get through this, you are strong and beautiful, there is hope you will see them happy and healed if u believe it so.

If I could I would rate 0. A new building does not guarantee an excellent service or the best outcome. Good manners cost nothing. Communication with the public cost nothing.
I observed staff communicate with each other well, which is concerning, as it shows they respect each other but lack sincerity with members of the public.
This is a managment issue. Staff need to be trained to meet and greet appropriately.
People come for tests for serious conditions and they run the tests over and over, then leave visitors to guess what happens next. I asked 2 people did they tell you if your condition is critical, they said they was given no information. I waited in the test room until another staff memeber entered the room and asked if I had been seen. I stated I have but I was not told the outcome, response 'it will be sent to the gp in a week'. SERIOUS lack of empathy, the staff member who carried out my test also was called.....again the same response, SERIOUS lack of empathy. CFH would say they cant inform patients, if the condition is SERIOUS, u need feedback asap so you can take action.
No point in having new hospital or the latest equipment if staff dont know what being a care giver is.

The hospital is going a major regeneration face. It looks like a massive building site and is at times vary difficult not to get exasperated with the traffic. However when it is completed it will be amazing.

The hospital us super buzy but eventhough the staff is fantastic doing their best to look after everybody. Sometimes there are.delays but we can all be patient.

I had a daycase orthopaedic procedure at Chase Farm and was very impressed with the new facilities. Above all, the kindness of the staff was unparalleled. Couldn't have had a better experience.

Thankyou to the doctor's and nurses in CT & Endoscopy units who were so kind and caring. They were so nice when I had to have a colonoscopy and four weeks later a sigmoidoscopy. Thankfully the outcome was not serious. I cannot praise them all enough. Thankyou. Their dedication to their job goes unnoticed.

AVOID. Urgent care centre total waste of time. Went 8pm waited 2hrs only for nurse to say no doctors, go north middx A&E. Disgraceful. Why couldn't they tell us before making us wait so long!!

Strange configuration in the Consultant's room as her chair was facing the wall at her desk and patient chairs are behind her, she had to keep swinging back and forth in order to speak to me and making notes on her computer! Hour and half wait as system went down and delayed all appointments which made it very stressful for Consultants with their already heavy workload. Extremely loud tone announcing next patient, could even hear it during my consultation, how annoying.

Nothing special. I would prefer parking like Finchley Memorial which means free parking for a few hours. It's a hospital after all and the last thing you should worry about is paying for parking, particularly when visiting. Royal Free in Hampstead has the worse parking though by a mile and love just giving you a penalty notice. The hospital parking space is ridiculous and always full. You can't park near the hospital either as it is residents only. Then again, I avoid this hospital. I had a bad experience there and had the wrong diagnosis which put me off completely.

My tip concerning parking at Finchley Memorial. Park at the back for free. Go past A& E in the residential streets if you do not mind the 8 min walk. One of the staff told me about it because they park there as well. They got panealty notices!

When I visited Chalk Farm hospital it was very neglected. Hardly anyone around and needs major work to modernize. Building is old and run down. Facilities lacking. Feels like a third world country. NHS is a bottomless pit. No funds.

This is an incredibly hot building but apart from that the staff do an amazing job which is not easy and the food is really good and I never eat anything I did not like or enjoy.

I really like and enjoy getting too know people from all walks of life and it has been really interesting getting too know the staff as they have been Amazing.

This is the worse experience I ever had I took my mother to hospital yesterday also I wanna mention that I have a baby boy who can t sleep without me at home . So yesterday night my mother start having pain on her stomach and it was really scary bloated so I called 111 and the lady on the phone was very Friendly over the phone and she booked me appointment with the urgent department for 23:15 we got there around 11 pm . They knew we had appointment but still we ve waited for an hour and a half! In the end the doctor checked my mother and said pleas pleas do tests as soon as possible for stomach x-ray and blood test to north middle hospital ! Today morning again I left my baby with my husband who has to work and took my mother for the test to north middle hospital. And they said to me that chase farm hospital didn t provide us a blood test form or x-ray form. So middle hospital refused to do the tests ! So by time they do the tests and me going up and down meanwhile something really bad can happen to my mother and even if I sue them that won t help her isn t it ! This shows me how much caring they are showing to humans life s !

Went in for a hysteroscopy was worried as stupid me had googled and the reports terrified me
Listen up ladies do not be fooled..Dr Shah was amazing and 2, nurses Liz and Claire really put me at my ease. It's like a smear just a couple of stomach cramps out of 10 I would rate it 3 out of 10 for pain maybe even 2. Thank you for giving me a cup of tea and a biscuit afterwards . amazing service I would go back and have it again should I need to. Chase farm 5 stars from me.

On Thursday I had a colonoscopy at Chase Farm Hospital. I would like to thank everyone for their kindness and attention. The advice given to me to take the medication beforehand was invaluable and once at the appointment, the nurses and Dr O'shea were extremely professional and considerate throughout. Thank you very much

I was treated with the utmost care from the consultants doctors nurses and all the ancillary personnel, I send my sincere thanks to each and everyone. I will be coming in to have further treatment on November 27th. I am not looking forward to it but I know I will be well looked after. Regards to all. Alan Anscomb (Ward C)

Polite and courteous staff. However, I wasn't aware of any of the staff who attended to me wearing name badges. This included reception staff. The staff did not introduce themselves to me, I had to ask them for their name. I requested for some feedback forms in the department and was informed that there were none available. I was impressed with the environment and the relatively short waiting time. Thank you

Concerning the not of
Mattias Persson about Soviet service - during USSR you never had to wait the hours for doctor appointment. You called and get the time and was seen precisely in your booked time. The same with the specialists - you could book directly and be seen the date you booked without waiting for GP referral for weeks and an appointment for months after.

Services are great as usual, but I don t understand the philosophy of locking the entrance doors at the Pain Clinic. You have to ring and wait a while before someone strolls in from a hidden compartment

Their system clearly doesn't work for them and definitely doesn't work for patients. Honestly I have absolutely no idea what the problem is.

Well done to your 'Urgent Care Centre' at Chase Fa...

Well done to your 'Urgent Care Centre' at Chase Farm Hospital, The Ridgeway, Enfield , EN2 8JL yesterday, turning a 70 (seventy)) year old mother with a stent, chronic acid reflux amongst other disabling conditions. She walked in with my younger sister, blood pouring from her vagina and your staff refused to treat or register her. They told my sister to take her to the North Middlesex Hospital. They refuse to call ambulance and the blood was everywhere.

Unacceptable and their behaviour was unimaginable.

Is this what my mum spent forty years contributing into the system for to be treated worse than an animal.

It's not the first time either that my mother has been treated with no concerns or been admitted in the past and been monitored and not treated until I had to intervene and start ringing people of authority.

Yesterday unfortunately, should not have have happened. My mum had low abdominal pain, she had stopped menstruated for over ten years. It seemed like a tap had opened and we couldn't stop it and blood... And all your staff could say was "you have to drive to the North Middlesex Hospital. They actually refused to call an ambulance.

I have just had a total hip replacement at Chase Farm. They could not have been nicer and kinder. Nothing was too much trouble. Not just for me but how they treated all the patients on the ward. I wouldn't hesitate to go there again. Especially when the new bit is built.

When I visited Chase Farm recently for a day treatment I unfortunately reacted badly to the treatment. In the recovery room my blood pressure dropped and I became very anxious that I was about to pass out. The treatment I received from all the staff involved was excellent, nothing was too much trouble and everyone seemed genuinely concerned at my strange reaction. We are bombarded with negative stories about the National Health Service but at Chase Farm I only experienced the best care from extremely professional staff.

Make sure you bring food, drink and sleeping bags for your visit. You will be forwarded through different departments, doctors or nurses with an average waiting time of 1 hour per queue. Proper sovjet-style service.

My wife recently was a patient on Wellington Ward. All staff regardless of grade were magnificent and treated her with kindness and respect during a difficult time. The same level even extended to me. From her first clinic visit to surgery this was an example of how good the NHS can be.

Today I had to take my two year old for a blood test. We actually went in before our appointment time and the staff were very efficient and made sure we were aware of things. They did a brilliant job!

It's a hit and miss with this hospital. You could a lovely caring staff and then you can come across a staff member with no people's skills cold i came across a nurse called Emma Thompson rude no care in the world no information or directions to the nearest accident and emergency. Very disappointed with her approach.

Great hospital. Always friendly and helpful whenever I am there for an appointment. Ignore what other people say. The hospital provides an excellent service for almost a million people in the local area and deserves due credit.

I've been there few times and been so happy with the most of the staff. But today it has been the most amazing service I could ever get for my mother.
Dr khaled in (Pain Clinic)was the most professional and best Doctor who cares so much about his patient. He is the best Dr I ever seen in the UK. Congratulations to Chase Farm Hospital to have such a nice person there he most be appreciated. Well done:)

Due to COVID 19 I had to wait outside whilst my other half attended an appointment but it s all pleasantly new at the main entrance and no charges in the multi story car park. However, 8 hours later & counting after arriving for a 7am appointment she is still waiting for her day surgery.. . She has been fasting since the night before, she is also diabetic and it s 34 degrees. They won t allow her even a drink. If she hadn t been waiting over two years for this surgery she probably would have walked away and I wouldn t have blamed her. Absolutely rubbish I m afraid

My mum was due to see a dermatologist, the clinic got cancelled and she was not notified. When she arrived with my father who had taken time off work they couldn't even work out what was happening.

Prior to this a couple of weeks ago she was prescribed some medication which she reacted to badly. She was then given some medication to counter act the reaction. Without having checked she was ok she received a phone call saying she was discharged. This is disgusting and she refused. Patient care nil, negligent and communication is shocking.

Rude and domineering security staff for patients entering hospital. Lovely doc2tors. Told by a rude security female the hospital would not let me in wearing rubber gloves. The doctor said rediculous and had to give me a pair. Making ill patients STAND outside in along queue. GET SOME COMPASSIONATE SECURITY STAFF and not dictators who have no idea

I must say that the improved environment is impressive, however, to be honest in all my years using this hospital yesterday's experience was horrendous. Left me feeling worthless and lacking in confidence in the consultant!

Endoscopy and Colonoscopy on different appointment days. Professional, caring and friendly making procedures easier to cope with. Both visits were like going private. The waiting pods give dignity rather than sitting in a waiting area in gown.

I have nothing but praise. I have had a few operations here and have been well looked after by caring Doctors and Nurses. I have also had a number of CT scans and the staff have always been friendly and respectful. Whenever I have been here for an appointment I have been seen on time....a couple of occasions even early. Keep up the good work!

In the midst of a redevelopment so beware the Heavy Goods vehicles.
Signage outside main building is not great so finding the Chase Building requires talking to a receptionist. Hopefully they will sort this out before the works finish. Parking is adequate but not cheap. Price seems excessive for an out of town hospital, there is no reason to protect parking with no other businesses nearby.
All staff seem very helpful though all the areas have codes which appears confusing to everyone.
Note: Totally non smoking site - there is no smoking shelter to be found - and some might say quite rightly so.
Four stars due to the price of parking.

Phlebotomy service is very poor . receptionist was rude and unhelpful . Phlebotomists are unfriendly , one of them was careless he could not care to check the form properly and find out what tests need to be done . They moan about being busy while they constantly chat and laugh while patients are waiting .

Things are going much better since the refurb. The new technology and sparkling clean, better equipped rooms make for a fairly pleasant visit. I've been to Urgent Care twice and had several kidney scans. Staff were friendly, respectful, informative and fast. I do feel there is a lot of wasted space (foyers, pharmacy etc) and long walks to departments, but overall very happy.

It is total bonkers that when you live right next door to the Royal Free building, you are sent to Chase Farm for an operation. The Free says, they are all for the patients but if that is the case, the op should have been done at the Free, not Chase farm, which is really awkward to get to whether it is by your own transport or even worse public transport. Not impressed at all

Very Nice , friendly staff !

17/03/2016 I have had injections to my both feet at Chase farm hospital. I could say I had a great experience. Staff was very kind, and friendly . My Dr's are very professional and thoughtful. Now I am waiting to get better and start walking without pain then go to work.
I am very grateful for the care I have been given. Thank you very much for everything. Kind regards.

Becuas3 the eye specialists were supposed to refer me to morfields eye hospital. When I went back to chase farm and asked about the referral by them they said we do not have your records or referral on the system. I'm wondering if they even sent the referral now. They probe rely did not.

I would recommend you don't go to this hospital as they treated me like I was stupid

Urgent Care Centre: receptionists have no 'care' about them! Openly gossiping between themselves about waiting patients. Been here about an hour and the lack of compassion i have witnessed from the reception team is shocking! Really regretting not going to north midd.! Can't comment on doctors as yet to be seen.

I made an urgent appointment through dialing 111 in the early hours of the morning and arrived to find myself the only patient in a brand new hospital. I was greeted by a doctor and seen immediately; earlier than my appointment time. The doctor and receptionist I saw were friendly, courteous and professional. I was diagnosed and given medication for tonsillitis and left the hospital feeling very happy and relieved. What a pleasant experience even though it was 5 in the morning. Thank you so much.

Dirty place, the receptionists are rude ( nurses are nice though) and there are building works being done everywhere so the place looks different everytime, parking is a nightmare and there is no information point.

Every member of staff do welcome you but some are more friendly than others.
I have had 4 out of 5 of my sons in there maternity ward that has since closed it's doors. I will miss all the dedicated staff..
(Especially Emily... who helped revive and look after 2 of my 5 sons, 10 years apart.
Now thats dedication. Thank you so, so, so much. all fit and doing so well. God bless you.) Which I am so very disappointed with, As our now local hospital maternity unit is north middlesex or Barnet general and for some people is very hard to get to, especially if you are pregnant or have some form of difficulty eg: walking, transport ect....
From me that is over an hour and a half away via public transport.
Were as I could have been up to chase farm within 45 minutes.

I missed the appointment today. But for those that said they threat people like sick animals.... this is probably because some people dont like water too much or they was wearing dirty, smelly cloths. I cannot see why the stuff and other personnel will threat you like animals unless you got something in common. They was confused by the bad smells. Hygiene is important. So Missy ... Dont make excuses.. who wants to touch you when you're smelling so bad?

My dad had an MRI scan on 4/8/19. It has still not been reported. His consultant is waiting for this result to determine what sort of treatment he needs as my dad could have either Parkinson s Dementia or Lewy Body Dementia. It s rather disappointing despite 4 calls he had still no mri result.

Went with a client for her doctors appointment with an optometrist. The clinic was quite busy and her appt was at 10.45. We went early to ensure that she was seen quicker and ended up being seen at 1230. Waited at least 1.5 hours to be seen by the doctor and were the second last out of the lot to be seen. Many people who had come after us were seen much earlier. The system just did not seem to work for us. It was a tiring wait for my client. Not looking forward to future appointments.
