I never often go to this hospital unless I m in a mental health crisis. The amount of times I was referred. I find the building very different though, but the chase building seems to have such a different sense of vibe. I been there so many times and come back with a fresh mind has been very helpful. The doctors that were there when I was in a crisis were so calming, even when I was angry at them and said lots of nasty things. They still had a calming tone. But the crisis team over the phone aren t so helpful sometimes. So I get my doctor to do the talking. But now I go there for therapy and it s made a difference to my anxiety and depression. I hope with the therapy that s there, I do hope for a change in my coping defences. I d give it a 3 because of the variation of vibes I get with different buildings and effort. But hoping if the mental health sector isn t very isolated one day.

We've been 3 times to the walk-in centre since January and every time we've been in and out within 2hrs . The doctors and nurses are amazing and they were great with my children. In particular, one Dr, Tom, was brilliant He saw to my husband in January and my daughter today. He's absolutely wonderful A great doctor

I had a heart scan on the 6th November and still have have not had the results cannot contact the cardio department as they do not answers the phone or they hang up this is disgusting as I could have a serious condition . After having the scan they told me I would have the results in 7 to 10 days not over two months.

I attended Chase Farm today at their Breast Clinic - referral process received phone call on same day went to GP, appointment within 4 days and the whole exercise from examination, ultrasound and mammogram and results took less than 2 hrs! Staff were all fantastic. To be honest had all 3 of children here and never had a reason to complaint but decided needed to go to the effort of a review today. Thank you!!

Worst Hospital Ever!

Worst Hospital Ever!
My husband waited from Nov 2018 for cardiologist appointment after a heart attack for last week's appointment....And guess what usually you expect to be checked out, blood pressure or something, at our appointment he was only asked how he feels and after 5min conversation advised that will be referred to rehabilitation group and....THAT'S IT! Thank you very much and GOODBYE! It is a DISGRACE!

Never Again in this HOSPITAL!

I have received excellent physiotherapy at Chase Farm more than once. Recently following a shoulder injury. I have now been discharged and am so grateful for the care and encouragement from the wonderful physiotherapist who looked after me. Thankyou to the lovely lady, also the welcoming receptionists.

Most of the time, I've received care that was at, or above, the expectation I had for an NHS hospital. There were a couple of times where I'd have to go home after no beds were available, but you can't blame anyone for that other than the bigger system.

Just had a partial knee replacement on 13.8.2020. My surgeon Paddy Suberiniam was absolutely fantastic, he made you feel special, that you were in control. All the nurses and doctors where brilliant they could not do enough for you, food also was good lots of choice. The physio's let them down did not give you enough info.It was not till I had a follow up call 2 days after discharge that I felt I knew what I was supposed to be doing. The lady was so lovely and calming and helpful. So apart from the awful pain the I would say I was 98% happy physio lost them the other 2%.
Thankyou Paddy and staff for being so nice in these awful times. STAY SAFE

Was in great pain. Went to urgent care centre. Waited for two hours. Hardly anyone was called in. Realised there was no doctor, but a triage nurse. The people next to me had been waiting for three hours with a sick child. Then the nurse put his jacket on and left. We tried going to Barnet hospital but couldn't get to reception for the crowds. I could not sit or stand, was in so much pain I had to just go home. A few days later I was completely immobile. My son came and drove me to University College Hospital A&E. Within two hours I was seen by a doctor, checked and x-rayed and given stronger painkillers than the one's my GP had prescribed. They keep me going. He apologised that due to budget he couldn't do a scan but as my GP had referred me to a muscular/skeletal specialist they would be able to do so. However Chase Farm have "diagnosed" me without even seeing me and decided I need physiotherapy.

Excellent Service at the urgent care centre - my mum was extremely nervous about going to hospital as she has had terrible experiences in the past. The staff at Chase Farm were so friendly and helpful and put my mum at ease. We were seen to very quickly.

I went for a consultation on the 2nd of Feb about my upper wisdom teeth the Doctor I saw told me they would contact me sometime in march to have them removed, it's the 11th of April and I haven't had a phone call or a letter. I first went to my Dentist about the pain in September...

Been coming to this hospital for many years and have always had a positive experience.

I had both children here and most recently was admitted for pneumonia. I'm now back to full health thanks to the care of the staff.

My mum was referred for some tests and within 2 days she received an appointment for a ct scan. The x-ray dept is fantastic (thanks nurse Mel for reassuring mum) especially now the A&E dept is no longer operating. The only thing I'm sick of now are people constantly bashing the NHS and the ignorant negative comments made. Thank you Chase Farm for all you do

Urgent care works well even with the usual time wasters clogging it up. Waited a couple of hours, which is what I half expected. Staff are friendly and helpful and by god they have to put up with some planks!

I came for a blood test after my GP had authorised this over the phone and told me that I did not need a form as the Doctors surgery would send over the relevant forms via email to the hospital. All I had to do was book an appointment online and when I turned up at the hospital they would have my details on their system and could print the form off for me when I arrived. So I booked an appointment for 3 weeks time at 5pm. When I got their apparently the receptionist leaves at 4pm every day and is the only staff member authorised to print off my blood test form . So they refused me and told and told me to rebook another appointment before 4pm. WHAT AN ABSOLUTE JOKE, HOW WAS SUPPOSED TO KNOW WHAT TIME I NEEDED TO BOOK, I JUST PICKED THE 1ST AVAILABLE SLOT ONLINE!

my wife had a colonoscopy on 10th December. I have been chasing the "pathology results" since early January when our GP had not had any information and told me I should contact Chase Farm Hospital: I did so and also wrote a letter on 31st January: no reply. Telephoned various times to no avail. Still waiting!!!!????

I've only been there three times for my mum and every single visits have been very pleasant. Doctors and nurses are very friendly and helpful. They made us feel welcome and most importantly as my mum is the patient, she was very happy. Thank you

The new hospital designed by idiots.

The new hospital designed by idiots.

There are no signs to any of the clinics. A distinct lack of human beings anywhere close to any of the large number of unmarked waiting areas but there are plenty of self service machines that you need to sign in on and then bumble around hoping that you've sat down in a waiting area that might be in the general vicinity that you need to go (I failed miserably on that one!)

It also has the sterile unappealing atmosphere of the set in the film "Passengers".

Three cheers for the moron who designed this hospital. No doubt a knighthood will be on it's way....

I had my wisdom teeth removed at Chase Farm, normally you only hear the bad stuff about the NHS however everyone that I came into contact with was excellent. My nurse Michelle (on level 3) was outstanding from start to finish and really assured me that having a general anesthesia was nothing to worry about. Hopefully I'm not back there any time soon mind you

Thank you

Not only a hospital but also a mental and physical...

Not only a hospital but also a mental and physical challenge akin to the Krypton Factor.

If you have an appointment the helpful touch screen display will ease you through the maze to your chosen destination of Zone C Area 7.

However...for those unfortunate contestants wishing to face the walk in challenge (no appt necessary) it rapidly decend's into a kafkaesque nightmare.

Firstly you notice the signage; Zone G Area 2, Zone X Area 51 etc. What happens in these strange "areas"...what personal medical mysteries will I resolve if I choose Zone F Area 0?

You then search fruitlessly for a wall map...something, anything to help you match medical department with its coded Zone and Area. Nada.

You seek human attention, from say reception or meet and greet...No bueno.

You finally seek solace in the warm reassuring light of the touch screen display. Which was my undoing.
I mistakenly touched the directions button...fearlessly assuming it would gently take my hand and lead me to the promised land of Diagnosis Imaging. However "Touchie" (I was there so long we are on first name terms) presented me with a long and incomprehensible list of Zones and Areas with no inkling of which department squatted in said zones.

At this point I became concerned that a 5 year would show up and smugly, instantly, magic the directions up with a mere glance at Touchie. And alas I gave up my opportunity to reach the zenith that was diagnostic imaging.

My poor elderly mother has since confessed she lost a whole day at chase farm...wandering aimlessly, waiting for some angel to descend from heaven to ask if she needed help...alas it was not to be.

I have tried to explain to her that the NHS isn't really geared up to deal with humans...but she still holds out hope.

As a footnote it was even torturous trying to add this review...Google kept crashing (never ever happened before) it only served as a reminder of my trauma.

Procedure today in the Endoscopy unit (Zone A). So very grateful to all the staff here from nurses to surgeon. Polite, friendly, informative and attentive. Being treated in this way makes for a much less painful and calmer experience from start to finish. Massive thank you to you all

I don't feel like to give Chase farm hospital any star at all. All I wanted to do is to change an appointment but the switchboard was putting me true to different department, until some one hang up on.
If I don't notify them about changing appointment it's a problem because there won't be a next appointment. If you don't show up as well is a problem.
The switchboard attendants need to improvement.
The waiting time over the phone is ridiculous .......
