Large green area with our camping spot. Plenty of room for the kids to play. My inly complaint is the beach area was covered in goose poop, there was a lot of weeds and it needed to be replenished with sand. The water was also very mossy, but most of the lakes and ponds seem to be thus year due to all of the rain.
Nice campground. Staff is easy to deal with, great lakes to fish out of, plenty of room for dogs to run around. One can easily fit a 42 foot 5th wheel in camping spot. Multiple 30 and 50 amp spots to choose from.
Each camp area is spread out and you don't feel like you are on top of eachother
Always have a great time camping here. Love the fun activities they provide also.
Went late fall fishing. The bass were still biting and I enjoyed the fall colors.
Showers to far from campground and water was so hot it burned me
A very helpful park ranger helped us find a spot for our class A with a toad while it was raining. The campground offers many trees and a lake but was very wet due to Hurricane Gordon. AT&T cell service was non existent and Verizon had 1 bar. No on-the-air TV signal available that I could find. Single sanitation dump worked well on this day and was being continually rinsed by rainwater.
They just got baskets in for the 9 hole disc golf course! (6 of 9 for now) good course.
Our favorite campground and park. We try and camp here several times a years but our biggest trip is in August for our daughter's Birthday. They have spacious well kept shelters for parties and if a large part of your guest want to stay a while the campsites have plenty of room for everyone. (Campers arent parked on top of each other.)
Great place to hang out and spend time with family. My kids 1.5 and 4 years old had a blast. I am surprise how much we had this little slice of heaven to ourselves.
Bathroom upgrades are nice and were needed. Trees need to be trimmed up to 14 ft. In campground A. Camper roof brushed every one on the way in and out! Fishing was fair in the spring during the spawn.
Very disappointed in the beach area! A minimum of 6 goose poop & another 6 of moss/algae to jump over to get into the water. Just too filthy so we left. This was the 4th of July weekend. I would have thought more care would have been given to this area given the full camping areas. No recommendation from me.
It was very fun to go to with friends and/or family. The beach needs more sand, but we still had a lot of fun!
Nice spot for any kind of party. There is alot of space. Bathrooms are not that far away. Kids can play at the park, swim or fish.
Beautiful campground 10 minutes from Exira. Nice beach and water activities. Spacious sites.
Very nice park. The conservation people came up with kayaks for the family to take out on the lake. Great place to gather with family.
Beautiful park with nice lake. Big sites but have extension cord for camper to reach outlets
Our experience was not the best, but that's because it rained from the time we arrived to the time we departed. The staff was very helpful getting us into a spot that would fit (45' Motorhome). Initially assigned us to a spot that had the electrical about 80' from my plug-in (weird spot), but eventually got us into a "conventional" spot. The pictures look really good, and I'd go back and try to catch some sunshine if I get back to the area.
The park is fantastic well kept lake is also awesome fishery for bass! The camp grounds are nice also.
We just stopped to visit friends. First time there. It is a nice park
Nice, clean, and park ranger was awesome and nice.
Darling clean gem! Quiet and sites have plenty of room. Meticulously maintained. Wi and tv signal very weak but the view of the
lake from our rig was beautiful! water and electric only with a dump station.
Great RV camping. The lake had way to much moss for swimming at the beach.
Nice place big lake lot's of fish some of the party go'ers were loud late at night
We had a great time camping here! Fantastic trails, great playground, and the lake and beach kept the kids busy for hours. Full hook up camp sites made camping super easy. Mature trees for lots of shade and clean bath houses! We will definitely be back to this campground!
The resident park ranger sure let's you know the "proper" way to reserve a campsite after you pay for it! We wont only use a tarp and chair next time! He made it very clear that he was in charge and that we done f!@#ed up! Other than that this place is great! We camped in full hookup spot, probably will go down to east non full hookup spots next time! I reccomend this park for sure!
Nice cozy place to "camp". Had my camper there since 7/30/18, Bruce had been easy to work with.
