It is one of the 5 star hotels in Chennai.. but the services can be improved better.

Food and ambience nowhere near the reputation this place has got among the locals. Highly overrated. The taste was average. Could have found better food in any local shack nearby. The cutlery was not looking very clean and service was also bad.

Good hotel, excellent settings, courteous staff but tad costly

Went to Gatsby2000 and the experience was awesome. Nice people abd good service.

Location is in the middle of town, and it's a lovely, if a little dated, hotel.

Buffet experience: Ambiance and food is nice, good tasty but only less varieties are there. 4 starters including 2 non veg, no live counter, and totally waste if you prefer it for buffet.

Awesome place to hang out with friends.. They have a good dance floor... But expensive... They don't cover food for the money we pay

Though been there for few occasions, really a great place for people to enjoy their vacation, business trip etc... Great hospitality by courteous staffs too. Earlier there were two wearing trademark cap, white full suit, welcomes guest which is missing now because of merger or acquisition. Rest are maintained perfectly.

Wonderful south Indian upscale restaurant Dakshin. A must go. It steep on the pocket!

Went with friends for a cocktail evening nice hotel which was reconstructed recently and very difficult to reach the entrance gate in weekdays peek hours

Had dinner at On the rocks, checking out their new On the plate concept.. fabulous drinks and good food as well (vegetarian )

There is no proper vehicle parking. It's a place where very rich people only can afford.

I went there to get a haircut and I was very satisfied with their service. I am willing to visit again for sure.

The restaurent and ambiance is good but the taste of food is not upto the mark.

Ambiance good. Service has been improved at the coffee shop.

They have 2 wings, one is old and one is new. Their old wing is so old that their electric switches are old fashioned, TV s do NOT have USB ports and the view from many of the rooms is just concrete walls 2-3 feet in front, some big pipes servings as exhaust may be for their kitchen or aircondioners. Pathetic views from Windows.
Minibars in this wing are never maintained, unless you specifically request. But who would call house keeping just for a coke at 12.30am and wait for 15 minutes when u want to sleep!

If you plan to stay there, request for New Wing before making a booking. Else the people at reception are very wise in giving excuses. Couple of them are cooperative too. But many of them don't know how to smile,as if they are forced for the duty! Helping attitude is one which is required in this industry. CrownePlaza in Chennai lacks there. Their receptionists feel as if they r doing some favour to you by giving rooms of your choice.

Advice: There are better hotels in city, don't choose this, unless unavoidable!
