It is a beautiful hotel. However our room was quite chilly and we couldn't seem to get it to warm up. They have a good breakfast buffet. The bar has a great selection and good food offerings. Staff is friendly.

The hotel is just average but I cannot say enough about the great customer service we received from Janeay, the front desk personel.
When we first arrived, we were told that the hotel had overbooked their rooms and the SkyView room we reserved was not available that night. We got downgraded to a terrible room with a view of the air-conditioning vents and unable to sleep that night due to the next door baby screaming all night long.

The next day we were moved to our SkyView room only to go into a very hot room with a broken air-conditioner.
We seeked out Janeay to help us.

She quickly transferred us to another SkyView room and called us afterwards to make sure everything was ok.
She was friendly, welcoming and understanding.
She turned our negative experience into a positive one that weekend.

The hotel, with its new look, is very elegant and the location is great. Our room was a bit cramped but the bathroom was nicely upgraded and made up for it. The only real negative was the concierge. He gave us outdated information, saying exhibits were open that has already left the museum. When I asked him to make dinner reservations for my family, he wrote down the phone number and handed it to me on a sticky note. I guess he couldn't be bothered. But overall, the hotel was very nice, comfortable.

Good location. The room is excellently furnished, clean and tidy, a good size for family of four. The beds are a little small in the width and don't like the memory pillows, but that's personal choice.

The hotel prices and the quality don't match. There are several hotels around the corner with equally good quality rooms but for better price. The service is really good from the cleaning crew but not so much from some of the management and concierge service especially how they treat elite customers. I felt they cared more about making $86 off of me for a late checkout by 4pm than waiving it because of my elite status especially when there were plenty 9f rooms available at same room type (I double checked online). I won't be staying here again.

This hotel while very clean overcharged my card when I arrived then again days after the pending charges cleared! They are overpriced and rude! I was comped parking the firat night for my troubles but then charged for it again upon checking out! Called about it and she said they returned some of it, In my second room my kids were intrigued by the charger pack for the phones.. They had never seen one before. Out of excitement they took a look at it showed myself and my husband and then placed it back didn't use it but they told us they still have to charge us for it whether you yse it or not! A rip off! Nyc is expensive but this hotel guts you for everything you have! I will never stay here again or at any other intercontinental because of this awful experience I had here! If you want to be ripped off feel free to stay otherwise watch your money carefully!

Location is central. Love the thick carpet and slippers.

That said, none of the front desk staff acknowledged my Spire Ambassador status, nor did I get any room upgrade. Also, didn t get any food & beverage credit or any complimentary mineral water during my stay.

Rather disappointing!

Beautiful and luxurious hotel that I visited with my best friend for a simple night on the town. Service and amenities were exceptional! Not to mention there is a 24 hour eatery, a couple drugstores, and shops within walking distance (it is in the middle of Manhattan). Our room was comfy and extremely clean! I even had a minor issue upon check out and the employees were eager to assist me! Will definitely stay here in the future!

It looks nice but we weren't able to make it so wanted to cancel our stay last minute. Yes its not their policy but New York is jam packed with people needing a space and they wouldn't cancel it. Poor customer service.

Fantastic hotel in the middle of it ,nice breakfast but be aware of the $30 a night destination fee that's put on your bill at the end of your stay , it's fair to say you can use the $30 for food or drinks within the hotel but it must be used before midnight . Very helpful staff I would highly recommend

One of the worst hotels in the world for intercons. From employee response to feedback. Hollidine is better. Unkindness is like Manhattan Tower. Worst experience. The staff attitude is so full that IHG employees put their tongues out after the call.

Classy, stylish hotel in downtown Manhattan. The rooms are not very big but with very comfortable canes and several pillows to choose from. Incredible breakfast, although very expensive and the staff attentive to everything you need! A luxury spend there a few days

No Show was charged on the rewards bookings.
This policy wasn't clear enough at the time of the booking. When I spoke with one of hotel's employees they agreed with me that on the rewards booking there should be no charge, but couldn't help removing the charge from the credit card.

We had a nice stay last night, but as we were just checking out, Gregory, at the front desk, overcharged us more than $50. Upon realizing it and going back moments later to fix it, he was extremely rude...forcefully hitting the keys on the computer keyboard as he typed and saying rudely, that is why I told you to check it before you left! As if walking away and checking it 10 feet away was not the right choice. You expect when you pay for a 5-star hotel that you will be treated in a polite way. Unfortunately, Gregory was not that way. Perhaps some training in how guests should be treated when the hotel makes mistakes?!?!

Nice place to stay, central, good transport links. Decent WiFi which you can get if you're a member of their loyalty club (free). Didn't try the bar or restaurant, really easy to get breakfast nearby anyways for much cheaper, and as for dinner, why would you bother, you're in New York after all. Would definitely recommend staying.

My friends and I (4 adults) had reserved the premier room with 2 double beds for one overnight stay. The hotel's location made for easy commuting throughout the city via train with the N and 6 line and was an easy walk to Times Square. We had arrived at 3pm to check-in and met a 4 person line with two receptionists. After the wait and a 10 to 15 minutes overall check-in process, which we thought to be tedious for a large 4 star hotel, we received our room cards. The room was pleasant but we found the bathroom on the smaller side. We appreciated the cleanliness of everything but was surprised by the lack of towels and toiletries for 4 guests. We had to contact the front desk for a sufficient supply. The staff member we spoke with was courteous and accommodating. We waited for a little under an hour while we settled in for the items but left the room when they didn't arrive. However, they were placed neatly on of the beds when we returned 6 hours later. All in all, we had a satisfactory experience but none of us were blown away by it.

If anyone out there is trying to find deals for hotels and resorts go over to . booked a hotel room on there and they had the lowest rates just about anywhere!

Beautiful hotel. Classy like all intercontinental hotels. The kind of place that let's your guests up without grilling them or demanding ID etc. They mind their business and they mind it well.

Room was confirmed with check-in at 4pm. We came at 5:30pm and they made us wait more than 45 minutes in the lobby because the room was not ready. No excuses, no apology. That's it. If you are into waiting in the lobby for your room to be ready after a long day, that's the hotel you want to choose. 45 minutes later, I am still waiting... Knowing this, I would not have picked this hotel.

A very nice hotel in beautiful midtown east. The hotel rooms are spacious by NYC standards. Very clean and well appointed. The resort fee is redeemable with food credit and other services. Highly recommended!

Retro atmosphere and modern comfort. A true international grand hotel. Strategic location for the midtown. DON'T: breakfast at the hotel, $ 105 for two coffees and two croissants. In fact, all you bring food from outside to eat it in your room or even (horrors) in the lobby. DO: Ask your concierge Tea Ferrari, suggests and organizes the best excursions and solves every problem.
