I really would not write home about my stay at the Hotel. Very disappointed with the dinning. Extremely limited menu selection. Ended up eating at an all night deli across the street several times. Had better selection and better tasting food. Also, no hotel shop for needed items.

Very nice hotel. Room was clean and staff was pleasant. Air conditioning was not great though. Set the thermostat at 65 degrees Fahrenheit in the afternoon. Room never got below 69 degrees Fahrenheit.

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Our room was spacious and clean with fantastic amenities! There were many great shops within walking distance, but the hotel was far enough from the congestion of tourists to feel at home in NY. I would definitely stay here again.

A very good hotel. After a recent extensive refurbishment the property looks great. The rooms are very well appointed with plenty of space. The bed is extremely comfortable. The room decor is relatively neutral but warm and simple in appearance. The bathroom is well equipped. And the shower is very good. We will definitely stay here again for the bedrooms. The lobby is open and busy maybe a bit too open. Overall I would highly recommend this hotel.

I met with some friends for breakfast at their dining area a couple of months back. They had coffee already. Sat their for a half hr and not one staff member came over with menus or asked us if we needed anything. So we got up and found the menus ourselves. In the meantime we watched several couples get served, ate, and left in the time frame we were there. So decided to leave. Realizing we needed to pay for the coffee, we finally got someone's attention and asked if we can pay for the coffee. 10 mins later we got the bill. The server never came back to pay! We finally asked for a manager because at this point with the lack of service we decided we weren't going to pay the astronomical cost of almost $25 for 2 cups of coffee. No Manager available. Another gentleman finally came. We explained the situation, he understood and agreed with that level of service we didn't have to pay.

Really nice hotel. I found my room pleasantly spacious, insulated, and nicely appointed. Great service from the hotel staff, too.

I would have given it 5 stars, but there's no WiFi in the rooms, and the wired internet is too damn expensive.

A fine hotel to stay at, with comfortable rooms, and a good location. However, the morning breakfast is nothing fancy, and the dinner menu not that exciting either - and quite expensive. There are other restaurants in the area which are much nicer and a better atmosphere.

Stayed here for only one night but the experience was nice. Location is easily accessible and the gallery was superb. The room was very clean and tidy and the bathroom was so exquisite.

If you love, clean, quiet, and classy, please visit the Barclay. My husband and I were born in New York, but we're not really city people. The hospitality and accommodations in this hotel made us feel at home. No complaints!

Great location, 2 minutes from the subway. No complimentary breakfast, the rooms are very comfortable, the staff is also helpful, the rooftop views of the Chrysler building are pretty sweet! Would come back!

The hotel is very beautiful and unique. Very comfortable beds especially the kingsize. I had some problems with the room at check in (we were two customers with the same room) I lost 30 minutes to make me take a later in the same category. For the rest perfect.

Excellent classy hotel. The location is superb ( a little away from the crowdy tourist places). Ole and Steen cafe is adjacent to the hotel which has superb coffee and bakery.the hotel food is below par , I suggest to go out and eat.but rooms are spacious and clean and big. Loved my stay. Would come back again.

Excellent location, superb rooms and service. We came early from Grand Central and were able to check our bags before heading out for a day of sightseeing. Modern furnishings, beautiful lobby. Staff was top-notch.

Check-in: The hotel receptionist was very friendly and quick. Room (Deluxe Double): The room was clean. The bathroom was super spacious although the shower itself was a little smaller than expected. The bed and pillows were comfortable, but it did get a little hot later in the night and the thermostat screen was broken so I couldn't tell what temperature it was set to. Dining: The food in the hotel bar/restaurant was pretty good, but seating was a little tight. It was mostly crowded the whole night. Overall: Pretty good and standard for the price. I would definitely consider staying here again.
