The hotel is showing it's age - for example, dirty hall carpets. It was impossible to get the hotel to provide same day dry cleaning of 1 shirt and a pair of trousers. Tonight it was impossible to get a table for 1 in either of the hotel's 3 restaurants when each location had 50% free tables. Stay at either one of the nearby Hilton hotels.

Central location - next to a shopping center and hard rock, nightlife and beaches, including San Giulianos ...
And the services the hotel offers are so pampering, rooms, beds, food - what not !!!

The hotel definitely does not deserve 5 stars, nice rooms and nice service, the advantages are ending. View from the terrace on the demolished building, breakfasts not good, the only thing you can eat is bread. Pictures do not give any real impression of the hotel in any way. If someone cares about the location in the most entertainment district - parties, bars, strip clubs, I recommend it because the hotel is a step away, but for families with children is not necessarily because the walk will consist in pushing yourself in the crowd of drunk people. You have to walk to the beach and it also does not impress, next to the road and for a mass of people. Certainly not a perfect place to relax and not for the price.

Hotel consists of an old and new part. Rooms were max. 3 stars standard. Mold in the bathroom, cleanliness borderline. Pool on roof only by extra charge to use. Private beach is a big plus. However the service was not customer oriented. The beach boy, who was doing his job over-zealous, harassed us for no reason. The only thing worth 5 stars is the breakfast.

I booked the hotel with Dreamtrips and I saved more than 30% compared to the various portals! The hotel is very nice and is divinely, the only thing I recommend to improve is the salty corner, I didn't like the salmon because it's not exactly top. We will definitely be back

Some friends and I went inside to wait for another...

Some friends and I went inside to wait for another guest to come down and meet us. Within two seconds of us sitting down in the waiting area a guy from the hotel came up and asked one of us if he was a guest. We said we were waiting for our friend to come down and the guy said we had to leave. Apparently this has happened before with other guests. One time one of our friends asked if he couldn't stay because he was black and they said yes. This hotel is racist and horrible, I do not recommend.

From bathrobes with other people's cards in them, to no hot water, to ant infestations, this place has it all. I understand the reputation of this hotel precedes itself as absolutely amazing, and I recognize that everything outside of the hotel rooms was exactly that, but a pleasant stay starts with the basics of a clean room and hot water, and this place didn't have them.

The staff is amazingly professional yet very sweet and helpful. If you're interested in good seafood and wine and love hanging out by the pool or at the beach, this is the place to be. Not a lot of sightseeing options or too many activities though. The rooms are clean but not very modern and perhaps could use some renovation here and there. Also do not be fooled by the stunning pictures of the rooftop pool and bar, those are meant only for wealthy enough people staying at the suites. You can however purchase access to the rooftop pool by paying 60 euros per day.

Service level at Highest quality. Staff at executive lounge very well trained. Impeccably clean. Breakfast excellent. Rooms are large all overlooking huge internal garden. Bathrooms and toiletries are of the highest quality. Skybeach truly magnificent. Indeed a product for the discerning, on a level which is not easily matched in Malta. Big well done to new GM and all the staff.

At least 1 not 0 stars! I don't know what they could have possibly done worst than what they did! Disrespectful management, attitude. We were treated very bad that we had to check out at 1 am in the morning, which is unbelievable! Our stay turned into a nightmare. We stayed in the panoramic suite for 4 nights and this all happened during the first night, we reported that the water coming out from the tap of the bath is rusted and they told me leave the water running for half an hour and I left it for a whole hour, after that closed the tab and it was even worst. I requested another room and they showed us another one which had the same issue and MR INCREDIBLY RUDE said that the water looks fine. Went back to our suite and the water was leaking out of the Jacuzzi and the floor was full of water, not to mention that we had a reservation in half an hour an needed to get ready. It was miserable their were so many more things but they will never see our face again! I guess this is how they treat their ambassador guests, this will definitely be reported internationally, not because of the water, because they could have changed the room without hassle but they don't even have an idea in how to manage these kind of situations but the attitude and the arrogance, and saying words as " the waters fine you don't want this room than have a nice evening". Unbelievable, I definitely do not recommend this hotel for neither leisure stays or business.

It is a huge hotel 100 meters from the bay of St Julien, on the island of Malta. It has the Casino and huge poker rooms inside, in fact it is the site of the "Battle of Malta", one of the most important European Texas Holdem tournaments. It has capacious and rapid elevators. Inside there are all the services pertaining to a superior category hotel such as a panoramic swimming pool combined with sauna and Turkish bath, gym and restaurants. Breakfast is international and plentiful, the staff is kind and discreet. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished, but not sought after in luxury

Very good hotel.

Very good hotel.
Receptionist Vyacheslav is one of the best I ever seen. All questions and requests were solved by him at once.
I know him since 2006, when he was at Hyatt in Kiev, but InterContinental somehow managed to take best one. Good job!
Next my stay on Malta for sure will be in your hotel only!

its a little antique the hotel ,but i stayed at the new floors...from 15 to 19.this side of the hotel its new.the sky bar ,the infinity pool and the intercontinental club its great.the staff are very kids and polite ,make your stay perfect.in.fact
the hotel is very complete ,its has a huge gym..never seen such a big one like this one,the spa and hamman are good too.i think the hotel must get a refresh or change the decoration..also the main pool looks too old..not the new one at 19 floor its awesome!!the views is the best in all malta!!its imposible to move from that georgeus infinity pool!its a bit noisy during the night..due to the bars..anyway is not big problem,the private beach is very close to the hotel and food at the varada its very good!the atention of the staff of the hotel.since the reception,housekeeping ,bellman,waiters ,at the beach i.must say that all the staff make your hotel are excellent!im sure i ll recomend this hotel and i hope take my advide to make a little furnished changed!with love!

Each room has a balcony, the interior is black, and the standard bed is not bad. The bathroom is large, with mouthwash, toothbrush and disposable shoe tow, and two free bottles of water. The TV is also quite large and has a children's channel. The doorway is on the side of the road, parking is not convenient, there is a hotel-only beach for 100 meters.

Good hotel, good location and staff friendly. But foods not really appreciate. And the sauna changing room too small, the hair dryer very low power, wet floor not really clean. Ss swimming pool too dark. Such a big hotel can't imagine that.

The first of all, the cleaning of the hotel needs to be improved and the bathtub is very dirty. The hotel's outdoor pool, early in the morning, looked like they had just cleaned the pool and first entered the swimming pool, But still found many hair and strange things. The hotel's charging facilities are also very unreasonable, the bedside is not equipped with a charging socket. Secondly, 12 o'clock is the check-out time, but about 10 o'clock there is room Cleaning staff coming over to knock my door ask me when to go, I am very surprised. Third, the next day I need to leave the hotel and go to gozo. The staff at the door kept asking me if I needed the hotel's taxi service After the refusal, I was still been asked many times, look like they had a special business cooperation with the taxi. Their attitude after rejection made me feel very uncomableable. Finally, I accidentally dropped something in the room. I kept hitting the hotel Phone but I couldn't get throug h. After returning from gozo two days later, I immediately went to the hotel to ask about the lost thing. I didn't want to blame them about the things at first, it's because I was not careful. But the front desk of the Hotel just told me time is long and asked me if My friend took it who lived with me in that day. It seems to be very perfunctory. He then just told me that He would ask the room staff for me. but when I returned to The hotel again, I was told that nothing was lost in the hotel within three days. I think that a very mobile hotel is very unlikely to have no lost items in three days. But I don't want to speculate anything, just thank myself All the all, this is an old hotel and that is very easy to lose items And after they are lost, staff can only say a word of sorry to you, there is no more help. :)

Our last meal before going home at the alfresco ...

Our last meal before going home at the alfresco Dreadful!!! Ordered mussels (my favourite) I could hardly see any mussel most of them closed and what was open were so small I could hardly see them. I was not the only one another customer stopped at our table and said the same I had to send them back as they were cold, seabass for main course it was very nice but sauce was cold as we had to wait to get veg the fish ended up just warm. On a scale 1-5 I'm afraid it would be 1.... Would I eat here again Not If THEY PAID ME Too ... I would rather go to HUGO'S they do amazing mussels.

We stayed there for 3 nights for the 30th birthday...

We stayed there for 3 nights for the 30th birthday of my wife. The hotel & all appliances within it are amazing. We loved our stay here!

Let me start with the things that could be improved IMO (they are not many):
- the hotel is old, so some systems (like the TV) don t work good; if TV is an important part of your hotel stay, you should choose another hotel :-)
- No parking; there is a private parking next to the hotel; for this price parking should have been included

What we liked (many things):
- as mentioned the hotel is outdated in terms of some appliances. However, they are doing a good job to renovate it
- The service is just as it has to be in a 5-star hotel; everyone is totally polite and helpful, and they mean it!
- The Concierge helped us organize a surprise for my wife
- We got an update to a bigger room
- The beds are amazing; I d take it with me it if I could :-) we had such a good sleep
- the Breakfast buffet is very rich and tasty! The cook makes very good omelette
- The infinity and Narcis pools are lovely! One is in the 19th, the other one is on the 10th floor. The view from both is wonderful! They even have ring bells to call the waiter, just like in the airplane
- The private beach is also a jewel! You rarely have sandy-ish beaches on Malta. Having it in the hotel is a big bonus.
- The SPA is good, it has a nice hammam
- And of course the location is very central. There are so many good restaurants (sea food, grill, Gozitano, Indian and many more) next to the hotel.

We paid good money for the hotel, but it was worth every Euro. We ll come again!

Good hotel, good location, almost on the beach. There are restaurants and bars all around. The rooms are spacious and well equipped. The conference rooms are also consistent and really functional. the service and the catering were impeccable during this week of seminar.

Excellent property in the center of San Giuliano. I have already been 4 times and the only difference I found last time (for New Year's Eve) was the breakfast a little reduced compared to a few years ago (but still in the standards). The hotel offers an excellent SPA on the 5th floor (average prices), excellent heated pool, nice relaxation area and Turkish bath, I found the dry sauna out of order (sin). The most pleasant note is the newly-born casino inside the hotel, the largest in Malta (for the great players I recommend the Junket formula). I will be back soon. Highly recommended

The hotel was nice as well as the staff. The rooms were cleaned regularly and the food was really good. The only thing I didn't like was the pool since it's pretty claustrophobic and also quite shallow. 4.5/5

The hotel is under refurbishment!!! It is not mentioned on their website, neither a notice on check in! Constantly noise. Rooms are refurbished with low quality aspects! The pool area is dirty - trash in the pool. I wouldn t recommend a stay!

I've been at the Blockchain Summit held in International Malta. I don't think that Intercontinental Malta was the right venue for such large conference. To be true, nobody expected so many people. Having that in mind Intercontinental did decent job. Aside from the conference itself, the garden on the seventh floor impressed me. Truly impressive, unique place. It's a calm, peaceful oases. Not to be missed by all means even if you are not staying in the hotel. Food was good and tasty. Personnel was helpful. They did their best under given circumstances. The elevators were the only disappointment. I also heard quite a few regular guests complaining about the chaos caused by the conference.

Beautiful island dream landscapes, really convenient no need to rent a car, arrival at the Valette, you have all the bus to travel on the island !!! I also suggest comino and gozo both small islands nearby. No problem on the cleanliness of the island ..

So sad that i cant post any pictures here but I'll just say that it was really horrible & dirty when when we got there.
