First I want to say that I exclusively use ERAC locally and when I am travelling. However this last experience left me perplexed. It seems I got "double talk" and paid an extra $50 for coverage I did not need! Make sure you "folks" give straight answers so the Customer is not talked into extra charges. ERAC isn't practicing "Wellsfargo Tactics". Right???

Always a pleasant experience Everytime I go to this enterprises location. Very nice and respectful staff. First time visiting location since last year in 2016 and the staff remembers me and that made me feel very welcoming. Overall I really like using this location to rent cars from and will always recommend this location to anyone.

Had a great experience with this location today. They picked me up on time at my house and brought me to Enterprise so I could pick up my rental. Kacey was extremely nice, professional and helpful. Ryan was helpful as well. The rental car I received was above and beyond my expectations. I am very happy and will use this location again.

I normally go to the one in University, but the one at this location honored my free upgrade. I think I was there maybe 5 minutes and we were good to go. I didn't even get the gentleman's name that helped us they were so fast.

Edit: Brought the vehicle back July 1st around 1130. Realized July 2nd around 430 that I had left my tablet on the floorboard of the front passenger seat. I called and spoke to Ian he said the Equinox I had driven was already rented out but he would call the customer and get back to me. Nothing. The next day I called back, spoke to Ian and with a bit of a brush off was like I left them a message but they haven't responded yet. So I wait until the following week because it was the holiday week, I got someone else, explained the situation and he says the same thing and he would get back to me. But he also let me know that the family had not brought back the vehicle yet. Never heard anything. I call back again and speak to Casey, told him.the story, he looked through the records and at this point that vehicle has been rented out twice. I let him know the same as the other 2 gentlemen, my family and I went to the beach there was sand all in floor, they would have had to vacuum it out before the rented it. So either someone from Enterprise took it or the customer did plain and simple. Casey says his manager will be back in 45 minutes and confirmed my number...do you think I have heard from anyone??? I am beating myself up over forgetting the tablet in the first place. Honestly I don't use that one that much but it is still logged in to a couple of my accounts and it did have a password on it. Now I have to contact the police and also try to track it if the thief leaves it on long enough. I work 2 jobs and barely have time to breathe, but on principle alone this isn't over. This is just horrible customer service! Just beware!

I made my reservation online on Tuesday 11/15, called my local office on Wednesday 11/16 to verify what documents I would need in order to rent a standard SUV because I was paying with my VISA Debit card (gave them all my information and everything was fine, no one said there was any issues using a debit card) and then I get a call on Thursday 11/17 saying I cannot rent an SUV with a debit card.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! WHY WASN'T I TOLD THIS WHEN I CALLED ON WEDNESDAY??

In fact, my wife was told that we could get a minvan but it was going to be almost double the price - gimme a break! You won't rent me an SUV because of the value of the vehicle but you will rent me a minivan for double the cost?? Please...I wasn't born yesterday.

Your employees clearly do not communicate, do not seem to care & do not have a thorough working knowledge of company policies.

I WANT TO THANK YOU, ENTERPRISE, FOR ADDING MORE STRESS & HASSLE TO MY HOLIDAY SEASON. IF THIS WAS YOUR MISSION, THEN WELL DONE - KEEP IT UP.
THIS HAS BEEN THE SINGLE WORST EXPERIENCE RENTING A VEHICLE I HAVE EVER HAD - YOU TELL US ONE THING THEN TELL US SOMETHING ELSE - I AM DONE WITH ENTERPRISE

Had to get a rental car while my car was being repaired. It was a super busy Monday after a Holiday weekend.

Jazz, the agent I worked with got me in and out with a car quickly. He offered me an upgrade from what my insurance company was giving us at a very reasonable price.

Dropped off the rental car at the repair shop and Enterprise picked it up. All around great service & experience for me.

I will start off by saying that if I could have given negative stars I most certainly would have. I called this location to ask about getting a rental car with a restricted license. I explained to multiple representatives that my restricted license was not because of a DUI and that it was for speeding tickets. They assured me that if I brought my paperwork stating I can drive from 6:00 AM till 12:00 PM that their would be no issues getting me into a rental car. I proceeded with taking my car to the body shop to get work done and called and Uber to drive me to the Enterprise location. Upon arrival the assistant manager tells me that they can't put me into a rental car because the court house didn't hand write my letter for my restricted license. She was sweating and shaking when she tells me this. I ask to speak to the manager and he tells me that they can't put me into a rental because he called the district manager and the district manager said it can't be done. I tell the man that it would have been nice if they would have called the district manager before I took a Uber 30 minutes to their location and dropped my car off at the body shop and his answer was "okay". If I was the district manager I would not want somebody like this to be representing my branch.

Was good and bad.

The Bad: the guy was going so fast when going over everything I felt like I was being taken advantage of, and when we were going over the car inspection I'm pointing stuff out and he wasn't jotting anything down or anything just saying okay and kept going, I felt very very uneasy paying for the rental. Lastly, I had it for a couple days while I was getting my car fixed, and the girl calls me talking about "hi I was just letting you know that I was going to go ahead and charge your card for a couple more days of coverage for the vehichle" "UMMMMMM, EXCUSE THE HECK OUT OF ME!" I was just blown away that she said that, I was like umm, no your not, you didn't even ask first of all, second of all I was already returning the rental later on that same day, then when I asked how much they were going to charge anyway and she said one hundred and forty something. They are crazy, and after I checked her she sounded ashamed, which she should have, what if I didn't answer the phone? You were just gonna charge it? Jeez

The good: all the damage that I said was actually reported, so the guy was actually on his p's and q's, and the payouts for the coverage were all correct, so good job for them.

Was just veeeeeery iffy is why I'm giving it 3 stars, it was like I was sweating the whole time wondering if everything was going to go as it should

I have been renting from Enterprise for years now....

I have been renting from Enterprise for years now. Since I have moved to Charlotte me and my gf have had some car issues.
I started my rental at the Airport location where I rented a car for 30 days I know your thinking really omg. You have to do what you have to do to get by. After returning my vehicle at the airport and cursing the young man at the car return for messing up my account I ended up at this location 2 days later after allowing everything to reset. I was so upset with that young man that I almost said to hell with Enterprise for good.

Needless to say when we ubered to this location the ladies in the office were more than nice to me and my girlfriend. The manager Tayler Magee was more than friendly and her employees Jazzmine & Megan were so pleasant & helpful. The location was clean, it smelled good, & it was convenient! The ladies in office actually held conversation and talked while the rental was getting ready. She told me up front it smelled like smoke offered to get me a different car offered me discounts and even though the tank was on E she offered to fill it up. It wasn't a problem for me I need to go to the gas station anyway. When I tell you these ladies definitely made sure we were taken care of and customer service is really big in my household being that we both come from customer service backgrounds. The customer service at this location is what every location needs.

Even to the point of return we had a few things go on but when we walked into the enterprise on the day of return and the young lady Ari (I hope I spelled it correctly) greeted us and took care of us! She smiled, she kept up conversation and she offered to drop us off. Thanks!!! Even after the other day when my gf called & ended up hanging up in her face. (I'm glad my gf apologized & sorry again) she was still nice to us. As where most peoole would have been rude. When everything in the world is going on just to have someone be real nice & help you makes your day a little easier. I hope they keep her around!

The store manager Eric was pleasant as well even though he called a few early mornings. I understand he has a Job to do. I was never mad at him & I appreciate him working with us as well.

I really hope they can continue the customer service they have at this location. Even though it's a small location I would still come to this location over any other one in Charlotte. THANK YOU FOR THE EXPERIENCE & I'M SURE WE WILL BE BACK!

Renters beware, these guys are scammers. Took a friend to rent a car this morning and the sales guy inside was stalling getting the car ready ( we had a reservation for a certain time and the car should have been ready) and trying to upgrade us. When we opted out for the upgrade he then had the car washed after we did the walk around inspection. As the car was being washed he offered up the upgrade at no additional cost so we could get rolling and when we went to do the walk around he conveniently did not have his clipboard to mark any dents or scratches on the vehicle and instead said "yeah those are fine" when we pointed a few out. This should have been a red flag for us but we mistakenly trusted him and hit the road. Upon arrival and drop off in Charleston , SC my friend was questioned about the very scratches and dents we mentioned in Charlotte and they made her pay for a dent on the car that was there when she left.

*sidenote my, she bought the cheaper insurance that he insisted on repeatedly. This was simply a waste of money because it didn't even cover scratches and dents if she would HAVE damaged the vehicle.

Always had good experiences with Enterprise but this was not one of them. Poor service and a clear example of trying to take advantage of customers.

Had some auto body repairs done after an accident. They picked me up and I just left the car at the shop for return.

Used this place before, more than once. Never an issue and unlike other I've used, they know how to hold the reservations (see Seinfeld episode reference)

Great Customer Service. Quick service and very clean vehicles. Thanks to Austin and Tyler at the Charlotte Branch on E. Independence Blvd. for amazing service. They really helped me to get a quality vehicle and save money. I will definitely be back. I hope Austin and Tyler are still there.

While the parking is small and a bit awkward the customer service makes up for it. The young lady at the counter, Katie was so helpful, sweet and honest. She took care of my needs immediately. While picking up a rental was the last thing I wanted to do and I'm sure my facial expression conveyed that she quickly broke through that tuff exterior with her bubbly positive attitude. It didn't end there. She made gave me options and made sure I was happy with the car I was getting. Thanks Katie for making this process easy quick and pleasant..definitely needed it!

I like Enterprise... but my last 2 rentals visits....

I like Enterprise... but my last 2 rentals visits. The cars were not cleaned on the inside. I always found other people s trash under the seat. And my last most recent trip the Nissan navigation and Bluetooth system did not work and that was the new 2020 maxima also the brakes sound terrible. All of these icons popped up on the dashboard.

Let me start off by saying, I have done a lot of business with enterprise. I go to Indiana every summer and every Christmas. This time I had a good experience until the end. First off, I was in communication the entire process. Secondly, I had a situation where I was out of town and could not access my money. Lastly, this could of been resolved without the amount of attitude from the lady I spoke with on the phone/left me a VM. Now, for what happened. I rented a car, all good. I switched my bank account to rent this car as my credit union does not allow car rentals. With that said my direct deposit did not go in and the mailed my check to my house (North Carolina, I m in Indiana) obviously I could not get the check. So as soon as Friday hit I called a bunch of times. After finally getting ahold of someone (the lady from above) explained the situation and that I d be back Sunday to handle it. She said ok, and that was that. I was about to leave Indiana with just enough money to make it back and my duke bill comes out. I have to stay one more night. I called all day Sunday with no success. I take a shower before I leave come back to a nasty vm saying they reported it stolen. I tried to call back again and again. Nothing. I have a good job and a family. I am a good person. They made me out to be a criminal. Good people have bad things happen. Understand that. You could of ruined my whole life if I got pulled over. I could of lost my job, House, everything. For what, poor communication on their part. I will never rent from this enterprise again. This was an awful experience. I will be calling corporate and reporting their poor business practices.

This is my first time coming to this location and I m so disappointed with the service . We make the reservation a week ago with an specific car at the time we get there they didn t have it . The the guy told us to come later on , they said they didn t have . So we came the second time and they didn t have it. i dropped my buddy's wife of to get a car that they had reserved and they didn't have it. Then they came up with another one. Well nobody knew she had to bring a utility bill from home, which would have been no problem. Then the lady who reserved the car said to my friends wife it's my fault for not telling you and asked her to leave and locked the door. Yea they are one of a kind up there. I suggest taking your business elsewhere!

Great experience, reserved a full size car online and by the time I got there the full sizes were gone so they upgraded me to an SUV for free. Also, was stuck in traffic on my return date, got there 5 mins late and they stayed open so I could return it. Highly recommend them. Terrific customer service. They went out of their way when they didn't need to.

I drove a 2020 Hyundai with more than enough room, great on gas, and the perks where amazing!!! I missed driving it after I returned it!!! It's awesome how the A.A. employees use compassion and professionalism to increase sells and retain rental deals with the customers.

My review is a little different. I live on the street of this enterprise and the person that washes the car constantly plays music extremely loud! This music has woken me up in my own home several times. I live halfway down the street and the base is vibrating inside my house so unprofessional! I suggest anyone reading this take your business to a location that are professional and responsible. This has been going on for years now.

Rarely had a good experience. They always tried to sell Enterprise insurance if I booked week end special. Felt like week end special is a trap to attract customers to location then try getting more by selling insurance. They try to intimidate me by listing consequences and try selling insurance even though I have my own insurance.

Many of the staff members are not professional.

Today they gave a car with full of cigarette smoke smell inside.

Strongly suggest to stay away from this location.

Writing this review after visiting this location for 6 times in 2 months.

There are two reasons ppl write reviews, 1 to acknowledge outstanding service, product and customer service, or to warn others of horrible service, product and goods......After renting all summer long 7,000 worth of rentals, I returned car Mid September. This location doesn't have A drop box and I was told to return to the location on south Tryon. I returned car and realized their are two locations in south tryon, which I was unaware of. Noone told me there were two, and I left the vehicle at the location that doesn't take cars after hours, unknowingly. The branch manager Mark Grabau reported the car as AWOL, because I returned it in at the location I was told, not knowing there are two Enterprise locations in Charlotte on South Tryon, which was not fault I learned this after the fact.Mark also put notations on my account that made it difficult to rent again He intentionally reported me as not returning the car, because it wasn't returned to their location. Policy does not require you to use the same location anyways, so the outrageousness of this lie has put me in disbelief. Ive always paid on time and returned every single vehicle in Mint condition. At this point I will never ever rent from Charlotte locations again, especially not this location. I've been disrespected and lied on for no reason at all. To say that I didn't return the car and report it as an AWOL was cruel and unnecessary, even the call representative had to agree that it didn't make any sense, and was a lie. Very deceptive in that lie he told and I should of dealt with corporate further into this matter and taken this up with his manager. Do not rent from these ppl.

To ad insult to injury, Mark Grabau decides to ad an old rental bill to my account which blocked me from renting at the time of need. I explained to the representative and provided proof of payment and asked how he had the authority to do this after reading my review I posted. This delayed the rental process for over a week when I got to the location I was denied, and told Mark Grabau had placed an old balance on my account. Since I'd stopped dealing with this location, there was no reason, he should of been in my account searching adding fees. I did file a complaint and will once again be following up. I know he deliberately did this

*****************Bamboozled*************** They altered my original reservation from unlimited mileage to 100 miles a day after I told them I was going out of state!!! This was my 5th time renting from this location! The worst customer service ever!!! The manager is very nasty and nonchalant (especially) towards people of a darker complexion including her own staff. She is bad for business!!!

This was by far my best experience with Enterprise. We needed a car after an accident and ended up keeping the rental longer than expected while searching for a replacement.
Everyone on staff was helpful and ready to answer my questions. They were also patient and accommodating while we were using their vehicle.

I have rented from this site at least 4 times in the last 2 years and each time it has been a pleasant experience. They have been very professional and provided me with quality cars. On each occasion, I have needed a ride to or from their offices.

On July 13, 2016Rented a car for a family trip to New Orleans. They did not have a full size auto when we arrived, so they upgraded me to a premium auto at no extra charge. Everyone was very courteous and helpful. This location is great!

I am usually happy with the service i receive from Enterprise but this time i was very disappointed. I was treated well as always the staff is amazing but when i actually got the rental home and my family and i packed up and was on the road we noticed that the car was not cleaned from the previous renter. There was liquid spilled in the cup holder, dog hair in the back seat, fast food wrappers and crumbs on the floor and the door handle on the passenger side had something sticky all over it. I did call and speak to a very nice gentleman i believe his name was Marlon and he sincerely apologized. I will use Enterprise again because the customer service is amazing and i have never had a problem before i was disappointed in this particular experience.

The service was good my only issues were that when I presented my electric bill the agent felt he needed to read my whole bill I know they use that as proof of address but didn t think it was necessary to read the whole bill and the inside of the vehicle could have been a little more cleaner and finally I didn t receive my Veterans discount for some reason other than that everything was good thanks

I was referred to this enterprise by a dealership ...

I was referred to this enterprise by a dealership that was picking up the charge for the car. they asked what type of insurance coverage I carried on my car and I replied with full coverage and he said that it would carry over for this car. when I dropped the car back off 1 hr later they charged me $43 in insurance. if he wasn't so deception there is no way in hell I would have elected to get full coverage to drive 3 miles to a restaurant. complete rip off and poor ethics. My brother and I had rented a car from hertz 3 days prior for $26 a day including insurance. I would never recommend anyone to enterprise.

I reserved a car, but they gave it to someone else. Apparently it was their last car! They sent us to a different location, much farther away. Even though I called ahead and checked that everything was in place both times, they failed to mention I couldn't use a debit card without a copy of my lease. That's why I always ask 'Is there anything else I should know before arriving to pick up the car'

If I could give zero stars, I would. Do not rent from them!!! My boyfriend rented a car last Friday. Upon being shown the car, the lady mentioned that they had not had a chance to clean that one. Since it was their biggest car and we needed it for traveling, he decided to take the car but made sure to ask if we would need to clean it prior to returning (because we would not have time) they confirmed that we would not need to clean it and that the only thing we would need to do prior to returning the car is to fill the gas tank up. So he brings this vehicle home (with only a few hours to spare before traveling) and there's smudge marks all over the windows and interior. Hair, grass and other dirt particles in the seat and floor. And a dirty exterior as well. So, today was the day for the car to be returned and my boyfriend goes on his very short lunch break to return it. Upon arriving at the location, he was told that he would need to take the car to clean it right that second, otherwise he would be charged $100 cleaning fee. He explained to them that the car was dirty when we received it and the lady who he rented the car from told him that she has assessed it and told him that she made note of the dirtiness of the car. He explained that she told him it would not need cleaned prior to returning (otherwise we would have rented from another location). They refused to contact the lady who rented the car to him and told him no matter what, he was going to either clean the car or pay that hundred dollar fee! Mind you, he had just filled up the tank, which was the only thing that they said we were required to do before returning this car. So, he goes to clean the stupid car that was dirty when we got it, comes back and the little bit of gas he used to go clean the car was an issue for them. They made him leave again to go put .80 cents worth of gas in the tank to make sure it was completely full. His 30 minute break from work turned into a two hour break and he is now in trouble with his boss. These employees at this location are completely worthless. I will tell everyone I know about what happened so hopefully they don't have to deal with being screwed over by these people too. Absolutely unacceptable is an understatement.

I rented a car for two days, Enterprise picked me up from Tint World at 5:30 pm, Enterprise closes at 6 pm. They rented me the SUV, I had left the lot, the SUV smelled like they had dumped a whole gallon of air freshner in the SUV but it didnt hide the smell that someone had smoked heavilly in the SUV. I took the SUV back in the morning. They gave me another car because they didnt have any SUV's. The car they gave me was dirty on the interior. I took it because I only needed it till 5 pm. I called Enterprise that same day to see if they would take me back to Tint World to get my truck, the woman was so rude to me, I said mam you guys picked me up yesterday at 5:30. She said if your not here at 4, we cant take you. I said mam you close at 6 pm. She didnt apologize, she said again about being there at 4 pm. I took the car back at 3 pm and they took me to Tint World. I dont normally rent cars, but all around bad service and dirty cars, I will never rent from Enterprise again.

The registration process was handled smoothly and professionally. The only flaw was minor ... the facility was crowded and subsequently there was a wait for service. Other than that, everything was good. The staff was courteous and obviously working as quickly as they could to facilitate the requests of clients. The return process was quick and easy. Enterprise is still my favorite place for car rentals.

Good service, but very poor car conditions. I have asked numerous times for the car to be non-smoking, clean and inspected (gas, tire pressure, etc.)prior to use and they have failed last several times I've rented a vehicle.
