Yet have the opportunity to meet the drs here on work basis

Campus is great and you need to have vehicle if you can't ride iit bus

One of the Top Engineering institute in India. The campus is just a forest. You can see a lot of Deers and Monkeys wandering inside. Students are allowed to use only cycle (no motor vehicles).

One of the best educational institutions in India. It was an awesome experience inside the campus. It was so nice to walk around the campus and it is good atmosphere to cycling. It s clean and neatly kept everywhere. You can see the animals where walking around the campus. There are lots of tree for providing shade. It was one of my best experiences in there.

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is a public engineering institute located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu and is one of India's most prestigious universities

Spent the best part of my life here. Met friends for life, studied with best minds and under some great professors. Facilities inside campus are unparalleled and one can easily pursue his/her passion with like minded people around as there are various clubs catering different fields like astronomy, robotics, music, cooking, photography, Nature, dramatics...etc. IITM is a heaven for a sports enthusiast. Unlike other IITs ,each hostel in IITM has a ground of it's own which is buzzing with activities in the evening.
IITM is surrounded by hustle bustle of a metropolitan but still is far away from the city commotion.

It is like the forest of the city. Everywhere you look will be a tree. An awesome atmosphere..

Studying here you'll have: naturally beautiful campus, best of the kind faculty, plethora of opportunities, global exposure, independence of every sorts, an experience of being in the company of the most brilliant minds from across the nation. It's a heaven. Any lesser word can't do IIT Madras justice. What else do you need?

I have studied here for 4 years.I don't know why people have rated it with single star. It definitely deserves 5 stars for its contributions towards the world of engineering & sciences and nation building .Coming from a lower middle class family , I could not have asked for a better place to study. I'm sure there are many people like me who are grateful for a lifetime for whatever this college has done in our lives.Please don't mislead people with fake reviews. I have seen at least 70 engineering colleges across India including other IITs , This college surely stands in the top three in every category.Thanks !!

Great place to study in India. Definitely the most learning & cherished days of life were spent here.

The only place that has forest in the midst of city is IIT Madras. Great infrastructure and ideal nature lover's spot. Food's really good and students here can have their education in such serene environment!

My advice is to keep up with the work at IIT Madras. If you slack off and cram in the last week, your GPA will suffer. You should know that studying here will be the hardest experience of your life as this is a very prestige but difficult school, however, the rewards are definitely worth the wait. Amazing job opportunities, internships and you're in the heart of Khet Chennai so there is many things to do. If you're looking for a party school, this is definitely not it. You have to work hard here, but remember that nothing good comes easy.

IIT-M is an institute to aspire for. I have known students who studied there did continue with their higher studies there itself and got settled in one form or other.None cold separates them for they were so obsessed with the super-duper Campus and so made up their minds to settle for life time in ITT-M. It is one of the best even known self-contained Campuses par excellence.The only glitch (really sickening) that I used to face while pursuing my higher research-studies there, in early-80s, was the "total lack of cooperation" from staff members 'at Workshops' -- their behavior and attitude towards students and researchers were not up to the mark/expectations, a truly disgusting experience, unpardonable. With the changes in the Leadership and remuneration packages for better, now the story must be very favourable. In my considered reckoning, every parent MUST encourage their children to dream for studying in IIT-M and help prepare them to realize their Dreams -- you will not regret not your children if an opportunity is there to get engaged with this Institute.

One of the best and prestigious institute in India, highly ranked and desired by students. All the students admitting here are considered as the top class students in India and every year only limited no of students are admitted. Most of the students taking admission here are placed before their graduation, also the campus is very green and Eco-friendly. Best for cycling and soothing yourself in nature, Deer, black bucks and monkeys are common here and are found everywhere on the streets, departments and hostels. Also residential facilities are available for staff and students.

Its great institute. I visited many IITs.This one is having much greenery and also you can find some nice birds here.

I Spent over 8 years here...People Never think when live inside of campus , we are living in Metropolitan city...Trees , Morning birds sounds, clam morning , Deer , Canteen food , Battery bus and Always cycle ride. Loved it the place

With successful alumni the institute also have world class ranking for both studying and extra curricular activities and having natural campus with enormous natural site..

I was working there in IIT Madras..Wounderful campus with all amenities like open theater, hotels, temples, staff quarters, bank, KV school, post office, banks, sport courts, hostel, shopping centers, trees, internal free bus service available every 15 mins, no pollution, deers and experienced, highly talented professors best place to study and reaseach

i like its campus and students are really friendly and belongs to educated families.

Heaven for Research scholars. India's No 1 college for engineering. Very calm and green environments. You will feel very close to the nature.
Faculties are very helpful and humble and their teaching is best class.

An amazing experience with a lot of things learnt.
