Excellent Company with Customer Service on phone and NOT pushing numbers to reach a human

I have seen this company take exceptional care of hundreds of families in the last few years. I have yet to witness a family who has been done wrong, each facet of this company is focused on providing homesteaders clients with the very best care and protection that their services offer. Trust homesteaders, I do.

My father and mother had several life insurance policies with Homesteaders. Dad like having small policies and never combine the policies into one large one at a cheaper rate. Upon his death is when we found out he had noy one, but 4 at $25,000 each. The receptionist was very kind and helpfu. She had me send Death Certificate in and upon receipt an agent came next day assisted with paperwork and left. 3 days later the the checks arrived in mail. With Mom, sent in Death Certificate and in 5 days recived the checks. No hassels and extremely nice pleasant people.

Good people with a great sense of purpose. The headquarters was amazing.

In Oct. of 2010 I paid $8,000.00 cash for a policy through a local funeral home so that my wife would not have to deal with these final expenses in the event that I preceded her in death. My wife passed away in Oct. of 2019 and I decided to surrender the policy. Today I received a check in the amount of $6,785.70. THINK ABOUT IT

I want to express my apology to Homesteaders Life Company. I had wrote a bad review that express my opinion how I felt and I want to state that there was a misunderstanding on how Homesteaders runs there business and there policy. Homesteaders is not the blame. So I will still do business with Homesteaders and I do recommend Homesteaders as a life insurance for whom ever is interested in life insurance. Again I would like to express my sincere apology. 5 stars for Homesteaders Life Company

It's unbelievable the type of customer service this company has to resolve claims. I've been waiting for two months and they cant never solve anything . They keep telling me to call back and leave voice mails they keep requesting information they already have . I canceled my other policy after this experience. I would never recommend this insurance company to anyone .

This company (and others, I'm sure), prey on the elderly when it comes to funeral pre-planning. They set up an 80 year old gentleman with a plan when an $11,000 funeral plan will cost him a minimum of $17,500 and as much as $22,500! Don't set up a payment plan for your funeral! The gentleman has already paid $13,500 for his funeral with no way to stop this nonsense. I'm sure it was sold to him as the greatest thing ever. It is unethical to prey on the elderly!
