Ibis Singapore on Bencoolen Review

Nice and clean hotel with very friendly staff. Breakfast buffet has European and Asian food with a lot of different things to choose from. I would go this place again.

The room was comfortable and the staff were very efficient and friendly. I love the location. I only wish that the free use of the portable device was available to all rooms. One reason I booked this hotel is because we stayed there as a family and had the mobile phone from the hotel. I had forgotten that you have to upgrade for this service. Overall a great stay!

The service was decent, it was easily found and obvious. The food was pretty good as well especially the nasi lemak buffet where you have a variety of dishes you can choose from

There is a convenience store next to Bugis Station and next to the hotel. There are many restaurants around there

Centrally located (in the middle of Bugis area) with easy access to almost everything. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Happy with the welcome drinks offered.

The hotel is great for the price and environment. I usually always stay at this hotel everytime I visit SG. On my last visit, I tried to call the operator and housekeeping a couple times on different time to make a report but nobody picked up. Busy tone. Weird!!!!!!

Advantages: Clean, convenient transportation-3 subway stations nearby, transportation card lending (subway/bus), ice refillable (3rd floor) Disadvantages: Room aging, very small, only 2 towels, weak water pressure

Considering Singapore's prices, go ahead...
It is aged and inferior to other hotels at the same price as before, but it would be useful if you go without expectation because of the cheap taste. I stayed for 3 days, but it was uncomfortable. I don't want to go very much if I lose traffic.

Stayed for numerous 10-14 night stays from December 2015 to May 2016. Every stay has been great. The staff are very helpful, the rooms are good quality, breakfast is excellent and facilities (including free use of the local gym) are very good. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

stayed for work, had an assignment in singapore which involved me having to extend my stay a few days. the hotel was able to entertain my requests. sadly no gym.

Good accommodations. Well located. Breakfast good, but few tables, if you wake up late you can have breakfast on foot.

Simple room, but comfortable and quite adequate. The restaurant is excellent, with a good mix of local and western food.

It is centrally located and accessible to great shopping districts like Bugis Junction and Bugis Street. It is also very near to local sights like Waterloo's temples. Parking is $1.10 per half hour on Sundays.

Very big comfortable bed, quick and easy check in and nice air-conditioning in the room. Very central.

A very conveniently located hotel, value for money. This hotel is quite old, and the surroundings are jam packed with newer hotels as well, but they're undergoing a regular maintenance and upgrading as well. The older facilities still looked well maintained though

the room is clean and the bed is comfortable. its really helpful that in the room there is a smartphone with unlimited internet for use, so we can explore Singapore without buying new sim card. the service is good, they very helpful when i forgot my key in my room. breakfast is good many choice. overall it pleasant experience staying at ibis bencoolen. will be back again when we go to Singapore.

We didn't have a good first impression of the hotel when we first booked in. The express check-in queue for accorplus members was actually slower than the regular check-in queue, the air-con in our room was on the warm side (even at night) although the settings were supposedly at the coldest, and this is coming from someone who doesn't usually sleep with the air-con on at night. Furthermore, the water pressure of the bathroom was quite low, making showering a slightly unpleasant experience.

On the plus side, the buffet breakfast was pretty sumptious and some of the perks allowed for accorplus members, such as the 2 complementary drinks while we chilled at the bar and late checkout at 4pm on Sunday afternoon, made this an overall acceptable stay.

The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff was very kind.

We stayed for couples of days as part of our annual vacation. It was a great pleasure indeed to be a guest at this hotel and we did have a good time. We will be back soon. Keep up a good work. Well done :)

Strategic location, very close to Bugis area, and close to a food court offering value for money. Though a room is a bit small for my liking, but it is Ibis.

Terrible service in Bencoolen. I was treated rudely by one of the staff probably a manager, an Indian man who shouted at me to leave a few years back. I wasn't a guest there but the way he handled the situation is uncalled for. One of the cleaner atttitude is just as bad. Find other hotel.Will never stay in Ibis in future.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Ibis. The location was fantastic as there are buses just outside which it very convenient. The rooms were clean and all my needs were met.
The only complaint I have is that in order to refill my drink bottle I had to go into the restaurant/buffet area to do so. Not every Ibis staff were happy for us to walk into the restaurant/buffet area however there was no staff at the bar to refill the drink bottle. One suggestion would be for the hotel to provide a water dispenser in the lobby area so that hotel guests can refill their bottles?
Other than that I would return to the Ibis if I was visiting Singapore again.

Nice place with all the facilities. Good food with wide variety. Finding a table for breakfast is very difficult.

Breakfast options are less and hotel is just okay.
Only thing I liked is "handy" smartphone through which u can call free of cost to any number in 27 countries and access free internet. This facility is available in the upgraded rooms though.

Hotel is accessible by metro and public bus. Staffs were nice and polite.

One fine accommodation. The staff is extremely friendly and the place is maintained to the finest. I was there for a five night stay and the whole experience is very pleasant.

The hotel is situated in a very accessible neighborhood. Just a five minute walk from closest MRT station and the taxies and buses are accessible from the hotel itself.

The facility is available to store your bags if you arrive early and even after check out.

The rooms are compact in size but greatly facilitated. It's a 16 story building which will accommodate you to your hearts content. The breakfast is diverse and rich.

The hotel is centrally located which saved me a lot of traveling and transportation costs. The staff members were very nice to me. They provided different kinds of support very quickly when I needed.
However I was not happy about the wifi there. I stayed in a room at the end of the corridor but I could rarely use the wifi because of its poor connection.

All was great making the experience perfect in Singapore

As convenient as Mecure hotel...... very centralised. No problems re foods, transport, visiting, etc.

I can't find this hotel at first. But when I opened my room, I am satisfied. The room is nice and so comfortable. There are many amenities. If I visit Singapore next time, I will book this hotel again.

The location is good, the staff is extremely helpful. Room is a bit small but nonetheless complete. The bed is comfortable and room is clean.

Checking in and out is a breeze. Staffs are friendly especially those in F&B. Love that the hotel is eco friendly. Location is very convenient, close to everything. Will definitely book here again should we come back.

I have been staying with Ibis Bencoolen for a few years now. I come to Singapore at least once a year. Service has been consistent and hassle free.

Great staff service, rooms meet your basic needs though can be a bit noisy at night.

Had dinner at taste restaurant. Overall a good experience with nice food and ambiance.

Nice hotel with helpful staff. MRT, Little India, Clark Quay all are near by and walking distance only. You can find lot of restaurants near by as well. The only issue is if you are a vegetarian then they have very limited options for breakfast. Also be ready to use tissue in your washroom

More than 80% of the guests were Indians, probably due to the proximity of the Indian Quarter.

The hotel is reasonably clean and comfortable as it is ibis.

Air conditioning is not individual air conditioning, it is overall air conditioning, but relatively temperature setting works.

There are almost no amenities but they can be brought to you upon request for housekeeping. There is no free drink water. Can you drink tap water?

Anyway control of elevator is not good enough, it will be waited anyway.

There are certain facilities and functions as a business hotel (cleaning service, coin launderette, etc.) There is Seven Eleven on the first floor and there is no amenity, so it should be arranged here.

The room is small but clean. Check in and out was a breeze. Location is excellent since it's close to the shopping strip at Bugis. There's also a very large 7-11 convenience store at the foot of the hotel.
