Malts n Wines lounge Review

Had a wonderful dinner at LeMalt! The atmosphere was grown and sexy and the food was delicious! It's a definite "must do" for couples.

Great selection, high class environment, friendly service.

Lemalt food is superb, great service, cocktails and music. The prices are a little high, but the food is excellent.

We were more than please with the service & the food was delicious! More than enough per serving. The staff is always so cheerful and pleasant. Have brought and recommended to many friends. Was stunned when one of our friends who has a strict diet was accommodated greatly. The chef even came out to the table to make sure that everything was exceptional. Drinks are A1 over here!

This is something NJ has not seen yet. A place to entertain corporate clients, seal a deal or even take a loved one out on a romantic evening. Classy!!!!

Unique decor with great service.

The ambiance reminded me of London's Gentleman only smoking clubs (without the smoke!) with their lavish sofa's and exclusive drinks Le Malt is a much more cosmopolitan affair.

I revered the VIP section online at no charge and enjoyed some finger food and Single Malt with 10 friends.

Dress to impress BTW.

We were in town for the weekend and we decided to give this place a try. We did not regret it. The atmosphere is cozy and the food is amazing. Each of the employees that we interacted with were pleasant and more than happy to make a suggestion on their menu.

Cool spot, especially for the area. Seating could be better for parties of 2, but food is great as well:)

This restaurant/lounge absolutely is a Gem! I went last night and I was so pleased. Chef Duke is great in what he does and food was extremely delicious. The music was on point and not over baring. Drinks and service will be to your liking. A must visit if you like upscale....

This is the NYC experience in New Jersey. The atmosphere, service and food are top notch. What makes it even better is the consistency of excellence over the years.

We have been here many times over the years. Always great. The wine and liquor selection is awesome. The food is pretty good also! Nice ambiance for a special evening.

I gave them a 1 because my friend and I went there for a drink and they asked him to take off his hat so he did. Then we saw a man with his hat on so we approached the waiter and we told him that there was a man wearing his hat and how come he did not ask him to take it off. We were left without a proper answer and we left because we felt like they were being racist .

I met my sister for cocktails here. The bartender was very nice and made a delicious gorgonzola cheese stuffed olive Martini. Atmosphere is very modern and chic. Great place for meetings, small parties and friends get together. Can't wait to back and try the food!

Walking into this place it feels like your entering a secluded vip spot, the decor is nice, the food is very good they have great drinks nice weekend spot for couples and friends.

Disappointed. Service was really lacking. Gratuity of 20% was added to our party, which normally would not be a problem but our server did not come back to check on us, we had to go to the bar to get water and order food, some drinks never arrived, and there was no soap in the bathrooms (even after alerting staff twice). We had high hopes because the atmosphere and selection are good. Sadly it seems the place is poorly managed, or it was tonight. Don t think we would give this place another try, sadly, since service is very important to us.

The Le Malt Lounge transports you to the speakeasy days of New York City and Chicago. It s atmosphere is elegant and classy, the decor 20 s chic with the whisky, fare and hospitality way above the 5 star limit of this review. This is the place to take a second date, to meetup with old friends, or impress clients.

I love the food and my compliments to the chef always! He s the reason why I still go. However, I m highly disappointed in customer service. I called immediately after booking my reservation to request a booth. I stated that I had guest from out of town and I wanted to show them a good time and I wanted a booth. I m told on the phone booths are first come first serve. My guests arrive before me and are seated at a table in close proximity to the restroom (not a booth). There are three booths available by the way. I walk to the hostess to request a seat change and I m told that it must be a party of 5 or more for the booth. To my dismay, everyone after us seated in a booth is only parties of 4. First I m told, I can t request a booth, then I m told my party size of 4 can t have a booth only to find that all of these weren t accurate. I hated my experience because I had to endure the revolving bathroom door and smells. I go to Le Malt at least 4-5 times a year. Never again. To be lied to and not be given a seat change when kindly requested. Not cool. I miss the old Manager Rich. He knew how to please his clientele.

My go to for piece of mind, classy crowd, excellent food and a cigar !

This is an elegant place to take your good friends who loves to drink or great business meeting place. An upscale place for any other occasions.
A very friendly and courteous staff, food quality is superb and obviously a vast variety of liquor selection. Would love to come here again and again. I Highly recommend to any liquor lovers.

Place is horrible! Don t waste your time. Valet guy brought my car and never left me key in the car. Had to Uber back to get my key and they could have cared less!

I was taken here by my husband for a surprise to celebrate our 16th anniversary. I didn't know what to expect from the look of the outside. Needless, to say it exceeded my expectations. We were in a closed in VIP room with a bluetooth speaker we were able to connect to for our choice of music. The food we ordered from the tapas menu was good as well as the drinks. The sea bass we ordered as our entrees was phenomenal. The service was great! Thank you Keyshawn and Melvin. I do plan to return.

Le Malt Lounge was amazing. I went with a group to celebrate my brothers birthday and felt welcomed from the moment I walked through the door. The hostess was super pleasant and professional and showed me to the section I was sitting as I was the first to arrive from my party, from that moment on we were catered to in the most efficient and professional manner. The attention to detail was impeccable, If as if we had a personal concierge, she constantly checked on us taking cocktail and food orders, the wait staff were on point keeping our glasses topped off with water and tables clear and our waitress/mixologist like I said was the best. I was in the mood for a steak and she recommended the Grilled Kobe Strip Steak in Hawaiian Black Salt
Wagyu american kobe beef, served with truffle potato croquettes & fried kale, and dare I say it was amazing! It was so tender and mouthwatering delicious I enjoyed every bite, there was no evidence left on my plate that would give a clue as to what I ordered lol. My group ordered a large variety of things on the menu and none were disappointed. I could go on and on about the experience but I'll just wrap by saying the night was amazing from start to finish and I'm definitely looking forward to visiting again very soon. Kudos and definitely deserving of 5 Stars and worth visiting.

I ve been there many times in the past and had a pleasant experience, up until my last. Service was way below standard this time around.
I asked my server if the steak came with any sides, she said it came with vegetables. The steak came out with no vegetables, I didn t make a big deal about it, I asked for a side of vegetables. She said they had none... not to mention that I had to chase down the server to get a steak knife. I then had to chase someone down to get the bill.
There is much more to this night but I ll leave it at that. I won t be going back there , or suggesting anyone to go. I d rather give my money to a restaurant with better customer service.

"EXTRAORDINARY GEM" -We recently visited Le Malt, and would return every week if possible! We were beyond satisfied with our tapas and drinks... everything was absolutely amazing!! And, although we felt a bit under dressed, we were treated with elegance and class. The decor was grand, and the service was royal. The chef is a true artist! If you have yet to go... you are missing out on a truly unprecedented experience. -Le Malt is an extraordinary gem!!!

Went for dinner @6:30 for my sons birthday. Reservations were made 6 adults plus 4 year old granddaughter. No one under 21 allowed. Place was empty. Made an exception. Beautiful ambiance. Cozy private booth. Small food menu with extensive and expensive wine and alcohol menu. Great time with incredible family!All in all...Food was meh!!! Could have stayed local.

Le Malt is a relaxing lounge where you can sit and chat with friends, associates and others seeking a brief respite. A place where you can ease into the remains of the day. It's nice place for a casual date or on certain nights you can sit and enjoy live entertainment or even special tasting events.

Upscale place is the word for this joint.. any and every variety of booze is available here - courtesy the huge liquor store which is next door. Actually the lounge is owned by liquor store guy !!
They take order by the bottle too allow u to store ur bottle in case of use for ur next visit.

This place is a hidden gem. Go for drinks stay for food. The dark liquor selection here is unequaled. And the food is wonderful as well.

This place is top notch! Their tasting events are incredible. Great food paired with a glass of whatever they are showcasing that evening. The service is second to none. Chef Duke is possibly the best in NJ. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. This is a MUST next time you are looking for an evening out.

Expensive, small portions, so so quality, no tables

This place has to be going out of business lol. The lot is always empty. We tried to reserve the venue for a private event and the type of requirements the manager Maria provided was unheard of. They didn t respond to my online inquiry so I had to call 3 times with no call backs. When they finally did email me, it was the week of the anticipated event and they were not punctual with that. When we asked to speak to the owner she refused. I feel bad because we had a 35 ppl party but I know a scam when I hear one. Beware. They wanted us to fund the restaurant because their business is so slow lol. The atmosphere looks so nice, I wish we would have had a better experience if at all

We had very poor service. Server had no ideas about any whiskey let alone service was very slow and we waited almost a half hour for drinks. Food came out before drinks. When we arrives it was about 10 min before we were greated at the table. Food was ordered and bot brought out until we asked for our check. When taking our order the waitress needed us to show her in the menu what we wanted because she didn't know the names of drinks. After hearing nothing but good things about the place it was a bomb.

Le Malt is a very unique and an appropriate place for a guy who enjoys the fine malts of the world. When I first walked into this lounge, I was suddenly transported to a lounge in Dubai or Vegas. The wall to wall spirit selection was just outstanding. Not to mention their huge selection of wines that my wife enjoyed looking at.

I ordered a Dalmore 15 and my wife had the glass of red wine. The food menu they have is also very extensive. Ordered a little tapas and an entree each. The lounge is quite spacious and nice laid out. Probably the best decor I have seen in any lounge. The owners didn't spare a penny in order to make sure that Le Malt is a spot that their guests will remember. We truly felt welcomed by the GM. I believe his name was Richard.

Check out this spot, you won't regret it.

The food and drinks were good. But watch out for bustboys who twice took half full glasses from the table. They should ask before taking it. Otherwise music and ambiance is really nice.

Good drinks but they served me $14 empanadas inside of a shoe. Still haven t decide if I liked it or not...

Good place if you want to skip crowded and loud places. Very nice decors. Food was good but nothing I would go back for. Stuff was nice, however young lady (our waitress was weird) , she wasn't rude or anything , we just tough too young and inexperienced for the place.

Very nice spot, food is OK prices is a little on the pricey side but you would definitely have a good time they re very upscale and mature crowd.

Le Malt was an amazing experience. Food was outstanding, perfect match to both the spirits and fine wine offered on the menu. The selection of spirits on the menu leaves nothing to be desired. The owners of Le Malt spared no expense in decor and have created a place that you will go to and want to become a regular at. Great bonus is if you enjoy a drink on the menu when you are done you can go right next door to Wine Chateau and purchase it. Can't wait to go back again.

Visiting the Wine Chateau next door quite often, Le Malt next door is quite a treat. This concept that they have going there at Le Malt is exactly what Colonia needed, well, what every town needs.

The spacious wall to wall Whiskey and Cognac displays, the vast selection of Red & White wines to choose from, all to pair with their beautiful tapas and entrees. The Kobe Beef sliders are my favorite there. Matter of fact, everything I have enjoyed from their huge food menu whenever I have visited with friends and family.

Even if you don't go there to eat or drink, just take a look inside. You will be shocked to see such a beautiful hidden gem of New Jersey.

The food and Martinis were very good. The ambiance was great. The staff was nice, it was refreshing to see the Hostess/ Manager check in on us from time to time.

Amazing place, great decor, and jazz night was an added bonus. Manager was vigilant of everything going on, made sure guests weren't waiting for service, and it is clear that he is knowledgeable mixologist who takes pride in his work. Drinks were creative and well-made and food was good. Highly recommended.

I organized a large party reservation for a work event. They provided a number of options to make planning simple and their staff was beyond easy to work with. Everyone loved the ambience as well as the food, drinks and cigar selection.

Third time is not always the charm. My husband and I have been here twice before & always had a great service and a wonderful food. Went this evening to celebrate our daughter's birthday. Hostess that greeted us was very rude & did not seem interested in sitting us. She supposedly wrnt inside to determine where she had availability to sit us. I see her conferring with someone in the restaurant. She then returns outside to the lobby only to tell us that my daughter is not dressed appropriately. Contrary to her statement, she was dressed okay & like someone her age would be. Needless to say, we left. However, in the car, I reviewed the dress code on the restaurant's website & no one was out of compliance. Unfortunately, LeMalt will never get another dollar from me. I have attended special tastings as well as regular dinners. I have referred friends. They have a great chef but I will have to wait until he moves on before I will support him again.

Amazing lounge, very sophisticated atmosphere without being pretentious. Nice variety of unique drinks and endless selection of wines and spirits. The lollipop lamb chops are divine. If you're looking for a nice evening out this is the place, be sure to bring a full wallet it's not cheap.

Went in on a thursday night with my wife for a few cocktails, we got lucky it was jazz night! Amazing atmosphere, great food, great staff! Our favorite are the chicken lollipops, can never have enough! Marvin gave us expectional service& fast drink service. The staff was very attentative, super professional. Was greeted by the amazing staff in the front & the manager was always around to make sure everything was going smooth!! This place is a must! Will be back!
