Beware of airport staff! !

Beware of airport staff! !
It seems to be pocket money if you have a chance

arrival
Check table after immigration (this seems to be not usual) luggage pickup EXIT
If you don't have a prime tag, it will take a long time for your luggage to come out

Departure

Many souvenirs are outside
Departure is fairly easy
Some people could speak Japanese
I was confiscated by a writer
Since it is a country without things, staff seems to take it up to make it their own

The uncle of the information is sleeping

After entering
Coffee note I could buy it but I knew it was a dollar or euro and I knew it was bad
Apparently said to pay twice
I ordered two 4.8 USD ham & cheese sandwich with French fries
Only Panini came out, fried? Because it was said that it was gone and it was said that only dollars or euros could be used, if you pay 10 euros and give change, there is no change
I bought it because I was hungry
They say they do n t have any change
Panini at that time is attached photo
Havana Airport staff embezzlement seems to be famous among the accustomed people.
I can only laugh
Better not shop at the airport

Arriving in Cuba is a bit stressful, the first thing to do is migrations, the attention is fatal, some people take their passport and check everything, wait for your suitcase, it's a trauma for what it takes, the place is neglected and getting to the money exchange station is To delay hours better to change in the hotel, if you take dollars they give you a minor change and above a discount of 10% for being dollar in euro is better. The taxi drivers charge 25 to 40 CUC To the hotel what is worth about 40 euros. It is better that a tour company moves you since on the way they make you as a small excursion.

The airport services are basic, the air conditioning did not work at one hundred or maybe the temperature in Havana was very warm and not enough;
Last room small but sufficient wait; Within the same room of last waiting there are exchange houses in case you did not finish the CUC change them to your currency.

On the street, impudent taxi drivers do not want to drive to Varadero even for 100 Cooks, they ran around the parking lot for half an hour in search of transport!
On the day of departure, it was raining, at the special control they forced to take off their shoes and put dirty shoes into an introscope without a tray along with personal belongings and then walk barefoot on the dirty floor! Surprised eyes goggled at the demand to give out shoe covers or put some kind of rug.
Duty Free is located in the basement and looks unpresentable; many products have no price tags. The checkout is not issued at the checkout, presumably there is no paper tape.
There is no soap in most toilets.
Prices for souvenirs and food are almost cosmic!

Arguably one of the worst airports I've been to. It is very disorganised, people even smoke in the toilets, the toilets are poorly maintained, and it has the feeling of a bus station more than anything else.

Nice facility, few options, often they turn off ac specially when cuban americans arrive. Do not eat their sandwish unless you don't mind feel very bad. Sugest avoid check luggage, things may get lost but not allways.

This is a small airport but that's not the problem. The first feeling you get when you land here and enter the airport is "What's that smell?". For such a popular tourist attraction, the airport can certainly be made better.
For example, the rest rooms don't have locks to them and the soap dispensers don't work! The maintenance is fairly poor.
There are atms, information desks and souvenir shops in the airport which is helpful but much work is needed with the cleanliness of the airport. Cabs at the airport are expensive, so you are better off stepping out and then looking for a cab. Take a bus to habana central and look for a cab there to get a better price.

I have doubts to evacuate and I cannot find an electronic address to contact the airport or customs authorities, for example: If I travel in an executive class with the right to 60 kg of luggage, how much should I pay for customs duty when arriving in Cuba?

If several planes come or go at the same time, the tides and waiting times can become long. Too bad that buses to the city are not present or difficult to find. As a tourist you are almost forced to take a taxi.

I'm currently on a return flight from HAV, Havana,...

I'm currently on a return flight from HAV, Havana, Cuba to JFK, New York, NY aboard JetBlue. My flight to Havana was both on time and pleasant, but this return flight is something else entirely. The plane both arrived late and took off late, the staff at the airport was not communicating any of the numerous gate changes or apologizing for any of the delays that were never told to us passengers. Once aboard the plane the situation was chaotic, people didn't know where they were sitting and throughout the entire process the staff was rude. The pilot made numerous announcements about listening to the crewmen's instructions, "or this [would] not be a good flight to New York." One such instruction included the threat of, "if you are unable to listen to the crew, I'm sure you will not enjoy spending another night in Cuba." So now at this point, we have not been apologized to for the numerous delays or lack of information, but we are being threatened. Great job JetBlue! Maybe the staff on flight 242 and/or in the HAV airport just wasn't the best representation of your airline, but I'm sorry any of us had to endure them.

Fastest emigration & security screening in my life - 5 minutes total.

It's like Cuba - something will definitely not work but there're always people willing to help. Small airport, duty-free zone from the 80's (1 big and ~5 small counters total), small food options: pork/chicken/sandwich with fries, cocktails for reasonable price & zone for smokers.

My experience at Jose Marti airport was terrible, worst airport EVER! When I arrived at the airport, which is basically a small warehouse without air conditioning, I had to wait for 3 hours to retrieve my bag. I travel with a large black canvass bag, so do 75% of Cubans. I was thinking that someone had grabbed my bag when it popped onto the carousel after 3 hours.

Not bad experince here as expected as the cuban lady at the info counter was really friendly and helped me out find a hotel and even call taxi for me. I had a preassumption that my transit will be problem as I heard a lot of things from people who already been to this airport but for me, the experience was good. The staffs at the airport are good and helpful too.
However, this airport was unliike any other places ive been. Lots of lady workers wear very short skirts but its kinda cool which ive never seen before. Overall, great experience.

Difficult to describe airport. There are only a few counters in the entrance area, so that the snakes accumulate and mix up quite quickly.
The security checks are carried out very well, which may require a longer wait. At the gate itself there was a large non-air-conditioned hall. There were few shops, which then usually sold only the standard souvenirs. The lounge was unfortunately closed at our departure (about 15 o'clock).
There is a snack bar without an apparent card. Here you have to ask, what to order at which conditions.
The toilets at the gate were an impertinence.

It is a small two-story airport, the first arrivals and the second departures. At the top there are shops the drinks are very cheap there. There is an open network WiFi available on the first floor and you only access it with the etecsa card. There are very few places to sit and at night there are almost no exits so if you find places to fall asleep

You have to go far in advance as the lines are long and the staff very little. It is clean but in the waiting room I touch that the air conditioning will fail. The exchange houses are slow and when you go out they don't have your currency and they exchange it for American dollars.

You can buy rum and cigars without problems, at centralized prices.

Given the conditions of the Island it is understood that the airport is not up to other tourist centers, but it is definitely very precarious. The infrastructure is ugly, modernization is urgent. Food and shopping services are miserable, the treatment of staff is very rude, even discriminatory for some nationalities, and transportation facilities inside and outside are bad. Apart from the airport it looks dirty and messy. I have even visited local airports in other countries that are better than this international.

Bad airport. Group of 4 became group of 2 when departing from this airport because Air Canada needed my sister-in-law to apply for an online visa before check-in. But there is no wifi available before check-in. Wifi is available only after check-in and you have to pay for 30-min usage. Looks run down. Congruent with a lot of buildings in Havana.

The worst airport from which I started due to the general backwardness of the services (for example, the site has paid wifi, while in reality it is only present at the T3 arrivals and not at the departures), in particular for the cadeca where to change currency . Since this is a practically obligatory stop, since you cannot leave the country with CUCs on the stock exchange, they take advantage of being rude and very slow, opening only 2 out of 4 branches, making their friends queue infiltrate without any respect for others and offering a very disadvantageous change. We spent 2 hours and 30 minutes in line with the cadeca, seriously risking losing the flight, never again!

Cuba's main airport does not have enough structure...

Cuba's main airport does not have enough structure for the growth of demand and tourists from the island. It needs repairs and to increase its size both on arrival with immigration, and the checkin of the airlines.
The system used by Avianca is absurdly slow and you will need to be patient in the queue.
The airport is a little far from central Havana or old Havana. Approximately 40 min and the taxi must be a maximum of 30 Cucs (approximately 30 Euros). Consider sharing with people with the same destination and sharing the account.
Upon arrival at the airport, there is a currency conversion box with a quote very similar to the quote in the city center. My suggestion is to take Canadian dollars as there is a fee for those who exchange for euros and mainly American dollars.

On the one hand, it is Kuba and some things should not be surprising, on the other it is, after all, "International Airport", so you have to judge them. There is no drama, but the airport is old, wifi only after passing security. Waiting for the luggage after the arrival over an hour! No possibility of paying with a card (only one store was successful). From the pluses, quite efficient visa and passport control, courteous service.

Just ok. Functional enough. They have one or two sandwich kiosks in the terminal I flew out of. If you didn't manage to buy Cuban rum anywhere else before flying out, then get some there in one of the tourist stores they have in the terminals. Doesn't yet have free WiFi :(

The following is my experience on T3. Do not leave your gifts shopping till the last minute in the airport. There just a couple of shops in the airport and they are much pricier then in Havana, (including postcards, cigars and rum). Plus, the selection of stuff you can buy is quite poor. For example I was hoping to buy Cuban coffee beans, but there was none. General perception communicating with shops cashiers: they hate you. Customs personnel is relatively friendly. You can send your postcards from the terminal (Update: postcards arrived 3 months later).

Primitive airport, backwardness and not very interesting. Cramped, small, and tickets for planes are often entered manually, which makes queues at passenger check-in. Employees writing by hand often make mistakes. I know that time has stopped a long time ago in Cuba, but it is an international airport. The local airport on the Cuban island of Cayo Coco works better
