Terminal 2 has a low quality service, many employees treat people with a bad face, shops bother open every flight time, there are always unused windows. It has 2 mats and the luggage can go out on both sides so you will need time to find your suitcase if you travel alone. There are no hygienic materials in the bathrooms, you have to ask for cleaning paper and there is no soap or paper towels.

Very long and complicated Alfedegas .... countless queues.

After passing the customs and while waiting for the chek-in and boarding, there are practically only stores selling rum.
The food stores are 3 or 4 and they had no product to sell. The unfriendly staff (state officials) did not fulfill the mission to attend and only cared about the time of departure ..
Late night to finally forget

Havana Airport. Old, dirty and stuffy. Comfortable only near the check-in counters. Wifi is paid and terrible, it's just not there, nothing was thrown out of money. Passport, customs, security checks are slow but tolerable. On the departure were all 45 minutes. Upon arrival 2 times longer, luggage waited for almost an hour, which was on the same tape from several flights, which added chaos. Spirits and stinks, a lot of people and even more suitcases. There is one duet for departure, prices for rum: legendario elixir 7.5, dorado 8.45, anejo 9.50. water at 1.5. soda in tin 1. It is cuc = eur, bear without surrender, they do not. Rum at the bartender at 5cuc, take it from him) And I recommend to change money here on arrival, the most profitable course eur. Exchanger to the right, as you exit the airport door to the street. Need a passport. There are automatic exchangers inside, but I have not used them and I don t know what it is for.

While waiting for our lost luggage, we got sandwiches at the little pannini bar upstairs. DO NOT EAT HERE. We both got food poisoning. I didn't recover until I was back home over a week later.

The airport is not really clean (specially the restrooms), terminal 3 might be the cleanest. Unfortunately everyone thinks, that terminal 3 is the international terminal. But my flight to Germany was from terminal 2. There is no other way than to take a taxi there, but the drivers don't want to drive there and you end up paying a lot! Make sure you know upfront where you fly out of!

Small airport, has no restaurants inside. There is no public transport to take to go to Havana (taxis charge you a minimum of $ 25 regardless of your destination).
Internet connection is limited to one of the boarding gates and the price is $ 4 an hour! (and in maximum blocks of 30 minutes, which means that, whether you like it or not, you automatically disconnect after that time and you have to connect again).

Watch out! The claws there !!!
Pay attention. Although you can't really do anything. We flew Condor from Havana to Frankfurt on 12.12.19 and items were stolen from my suitcase. I'm really angry. Apparently it has happened several times as you can read here. Would like to know if Condor pays for it.

I have traveled much, but never seen an airport with separate terminals. 1 for internal flights, dark and noisy. Terminal 2 where all the starving people wait for news from the civilised world Miami, and Grand Cayman. We can barely enter because of the crowd and of coarse they do not open way. so I just bump them when pasing with suit case. Typical Cuban unpoliteness. And terminal 3 much far away for the flights coming from Europe, Canada, well rest of the civilised world who stupidly decided to pass vacation in this miserable country doomed by dictature and rude, lowd people. Ah and of coarse because its cuba terminal are like 3 kms from each other and conection is made by taxi. With all the visa money that every tourist pays at their exit, 25 dolars, it could finance an airport bus insted of filling the taxi thieves belly. Enough said, if you never been there also, can coun't to wait about 2 hours for a bag. if you are Lucky, and the workers haven't got many personal things to chat between them selves. Well if you have been don't go back, and if you plan to go, better go to Phuket in Thailand, also cheap, friendly people and lots of nice beaches and bitches. lol

Taxi to old Havana should cost app. 20, max 25 CUC. You can exchange money on the second floor (departures). Exchange rate is the same as in the city center. Exchange euros, because there is surcharge of 10% on usd.
In the departure hall there is WiFi (you need a WiFi card) and one buffet with limited choice. They accept usd/eye/cuc.

The billing officer (Cuban aviation) charged me what he wanted for the bike and I kept the money for him. Nor did he receive me.
The currency exchange to go did not give me receipt when I asked for it I realized that money was missing when I asked for it I refused but the numbers do not lie I had to insist to give it to me.
It is a shame that people behave like this gives a bad impression of such a rich country.

Very horrible. No ATMs or any real access to money, there is one small money exchange counter (cash only) for the entire country, so the lines here can sometimes take HOURS just to get some Cuban currency so you can catch a cab from the airport to wherever you're going.

It happens that several forms have to be filled when you arrive in Cuba and well the staff are not the friendliest people in the world, they make you take a series of turns and some of them cater for you. On the other hand you also encounter very kind people who help you in a good way, let's say it's functional. Already entering Havana the thing changes radically!

Very small boarding area, dirty restrooms, cockroaches crawling on the ground in the boarding area, no choice if you wanna eat something. Food is expensive for Cuba and waiters don't care if there are huge lines... Overall it's a poor service. And at last no Wifi or sometimes you can get WiFi in some dedicated areas..

Probably the worst airport in the world and also the national airline which is currently almost in bankruptcy. I can only compare it with any airport in Syria, Yemen or Timbuktu. The service areas are poorly supplied, the AC turned on to a minimum, the restrooms missing basic necessities. The entire staff, including Customs Officials, are rude and intimidating, a reflection of the paranoia of the Cuban ruling system. Not recommended for the frugal world traveler.

Air-conditioned, the airport reflects the cleanliness of Cuba, it is dirty. In the lobby, few shops, they offer local products, expensive. In the duty free, we can find imported products but the prices are crazy: 30 cuc the package of m & m's, I remember that 1 cuc 1 euro ... The rum is cheaper duty free, havana club 3 instead from 5. You can carry 3L of rum per adult. The cigars are not expensive but I advise you to buy them in the hall and then put them in the baggage hold.

Here begins and ends your adventure through Havana ...

The airport is small compared to others, you must be patient to receive your luggage and go through customs.

You can change to get cash for CUC or Cuban Peso (if you do not find in Havana several casas de cambio). Cash is important, since practically nobody accepts credit cards and it was very practical to bring both types of currency.

On leaving the office you will find taxi drivers offering transport, you can negotiate with them the fee (it is important to agree as well). We saw no bus service, but as recommended Just walking a little to the avenue outside the airport and be patient.

To address your plane back home, try to get good weather, especially if you come from somewhere in Europe in high season as we saw long lines to document.

If you have left over CUC at the end of your trip, you can take advantage of it in the stores near the waiting rooms.

This place is incredible out of ethics, I visited havana one week ago with my family it was a really bad experience at the customs, these girls all of them, Despotas, arrogant, rude, unfriendly. They should train them to receive tourism in an educated way plus They looks vulgar with those miniskirts as uniforms.

As always it is a huge disgust to enter or leave this airport only for the horrible treatment they give and especially to the Cubans themselves ... This time Mrs. Esperanza dispatches the outside of terminal two where the seats are for sit down, treat people with a huge despotism and did not want to attend because it was their lunch schedule, I understand that all people should have a lunch schedule but besides that they should replace it, she should treat people better, there was not a alone of those who were there that she treated well, I do not like to vote for anyone from work because I think that maybe she has a family to feed but if she does not think about it when addressing others then she does not care and she does not she should work with the public because only her face speaks for herself. How sad that in our country our own countrymen treat us in that way and not to mention the police, pure corruption.

Lousy airport service, from the entrance to migration to the exit, that airport is a disaster, it is not a pretext that the fact that it is a country that is considered "late" has the conditions and the treatment they provide.

Very fast to carry out the check, the beautiful and quite modern infrastructure in relation to the rest of the country. Some seats require maintenance because it is very difficult to sit. Bathrooms require places to change babies. In general the staff very friendly and attentive. In the sales kiosks, more places to sell drinks are needed as the heat is suffocating

They are nice thought and is easy to grab a taxi, they also have exchange money right outside, is better to exchange the money there than before you leave your destination , they pay better there.

Please note: airport departure fee 25 CUC was canceled on mid 2015, this tax was included within your booking.
Airport lounge welcomes only airfrance/America elite members, other skyteam elite plus are not allowed, even when traveling Airfrance. Priority pass is also not allowed. Departure zone snack/cocktail bars does not accept visa/MasterCard, only cash. "Duty free" accept visa/MasterCard only when you spend more then 10 CUC - no sign was noted.
Security checkpoint is excessive.

First, Arrival:

First, Arrival:

1. There is no wifi so be sure you have your ride to wherever you're going lined up. If not take the Classicos but the ones at the airport are expensive and are a fixed rate (though I'm sure you can negotiate).

2. Make sure you have CUC or CUP to pay.

3. No signage no help no information. This airport is not for tourists.

4. The only advantage is when you land you will get through fast as most Cubans returning have tons of luggage and the foreigner line goes through fast.

Departure:

1. Allow $20 USD currency or CUC or CUP equivalent. Try to negotiate the Classico for drop off.

2. Keep $25 USD cash for departure. No other way out. No ATM, no money changer at the airport. No Nada nothing.

3. There is a cafeteria style in the basement.

4. DO NOT TAKE THE ELEVATOR!! It stops midnlevrl and NO ONE will come to get you out! First hand experience.

This airport is one of the worse die to lack of signage lack of assistance and no resting area.

Small and boring Airport with only very few shops. Everything seems to be very expensive except national Cuban products such as cigars. Staff is very nice, but most of them don't speak English very well. Especially in the arrival area the air conditioning is very poor, what is very unpleasing when leaving the plane.

I went to Cuba 4 times and I love it. The airport itself is far from ultra modern but I have seen worse.
Every time this smell of frying that is typical and that when I leave the plane, I say to myself, I'm there
It is true that the baggage can be very long but it is not the end of the world. Patience we are on vacation.

The worst airport I have ever been through, starting from the arrival until departure everyone is asking for a bribe ( illegal money) . Unfortunately all the employee are corrupted, SCAMS everywhere. It was really a very unpleasant experience for me & I will never go back to Cuba again. The baggage arrival process took more than 3 hours & to clear the customs took another 2 hours. Don t expect to find and water or food upon arrivals, I have struggled to get a bottle of water.

This place has improved a lot from the disaster zone it once was but is still sub-standard. The main area that still needs sorting is baggage handling - luggage took well over an hour to appear on the carrousel on my last visit.
