Mac and cheese pizza is a classic, but definitely try the other awesome flavors.

Great selection of odd combo pizza slices. Highly recommend Smoky the Bandit.

Ian s delivers individual slices of pizza, so hit up the crew when you are feeling obnoxiously hungry, super indecisive & hella lethargic.

Side note: please do not attempt to point out your pizza over the glass whilst in line - you will catch a hard glare not even your evil older sister could match.
They do not know where your hands have been & chances are you, yourself, very well might not know after 12 a.m.

A local favorite, pizza still a bit doughy personally, but great preset toppings selections. Pizza is pizza at 2 in the morning.

I was drunk. I ate pizza while I waited for my cab. I couldn't tell you what I ordered, but it must have been good because I even ate the crust.

Ian's pizza is the best specialty "pizza by the slice" joints I have been to. Whenever I travel I try to find better/comparable 'pizza by the slice" restaurants and I have yet to find a contender. Favorite slices are smoky the bandit, mac and cheese, and chorizo taco.

Variety of ingredients make for unique pizza, salad bar and definitely filling food. Sauces and other toppings available for pizza make the place standalone and set Ian's aside from similar venues, very good deals given size of slice. Visited on a very busy day, always a good place to go.

Fun place to go. Staff is always friendly, performances happen here often. The standup night is a great place for up and coming comedians to cut their teeth. I love it here.

Ian's Pizza is one of those places that always delivers on that craving you have when you walk in. The best part is that pizza doesn't even have to be the craving since they have every flavor and combo under the sun! I'll keep coming back.

I liked it. It was my 1st time there. Very friendly crew. Food was pretty good. Fairly unique pizza flavors.

There will always be at least a 10 min wait. That's if they get or order right or cook it to long so it comes out on fire (figuratively). They need a better organization system

Limited menu, but good options to choose from. The fact that it's open as late as 2 AM EST deserves a 4 star at the very least.

A Madison classic. I've loved Ian's for years. Ian's on State is a great choice for lunch or for late night food. Creative Brooklyn style pizza by the slice.

Always amazing and delicious pizza!! I'm always tempted to try their salads but I'm usually a bit gone and shift toward more carnal pleasure! Friendly staff, a welcoming place, feels good, you should stop by!! :)

The staff is always friendly, the crust on the pizza is nice and chewy, lots of different types of pizza to choose from, and you can get free little cups of ranch dressing for your crust if you want! Whatever line there may be to wait in to get your pizza, it's always worth it! Also, buy a $25 gift card, and get a free slice of pizza with it. Pretty good deal.

My absolute favorite pizza and number one choice of restaurant when we are in town. Over the years, we have had multiple instances where we have been overlooked (other people take our pizza, leaving us to wait double if not triple the time for our food). After following up with Ian's regarding this issue, they gave us two gift cards which was great customer service! Today, we visited and associates didn't seem very attentive or responsive to our requests...they also forgot one of my husband's slices. I think if there was a better process in place to ensure customers are receiving only their food and in a timely manner, these issues could be avoided.

The staff was incredibly friendly. The price was terrific. The food came within minutes. Just visiting the area for the weekend, but would love to come back if I'm ever in Madison again

Ian's is an iconic pizza place in Madison where you can get crazy good pizza as well as an amazing salad made any way you want

Always a great choice for pizza by the slice. They have excellent salads as well and are open well past bar time.

Put on your big kid pants and get some specialty pizza. The mac n cheese pizza is the big draw, but is boring unless you're under 8 years old or heavily intoxicated. They have so many better pies. Respect your taste buds and ask. Staff are always happy to explain what's available and you won't be disappointed.

Ian's is a Madison staple. If you haven't tried it, you need to go.

call me a germaphobe...but i dislike people grabbing my pizza slices with their bare fingers...maybe all pizza places do this... i have no idea...but i do not want to see it happening...i'll stick with glass nickel...their pizza taste better anyway

Reminds me of Sabarro Pizza, nothing special. You look at your slice and then they have to reheat it. The pizza isn't fresh. It surprises me that there are so many great reviews on this place...maybe these people haven't experienced a really good pizza yet.

My favorite pizza place in Madison! I love how they are open until 2am. I can always walk there if I get off school or work late those days I get no supper break, which always makes my day better! Thankful for establishments like this.

I have never been here sober, but I understand that it is as delicious in the cold light of day as it is towards the end of a debauched evening.

These ugly ass mfks delivered my pizza (pizza was kinda good) also ordered a 2 liter of soda ALSO ordered some ice cream. Tell me why this mfk gave me and my mans my food and I m all happy I gave them a nice tip because they delivered all the way to the northside and I get inside, open my ice cream AND THERES SPOONFULLS TAKEN OUT OF MY DAMN ICE CREAM. I called them back and this mfk says oh, we probably sent the sample ice cream BUT IT LOOKS LIKE FULL SPOONFULLS TAKEN OUT OF THIS ICE CREAM? Don t they usually have sample spoons for that? Or put it in a dish? Why would they serve samples right out of the ice cream container? Overall, I was hungry late at night, excited because they said they d deliver to me, get inside and someone ate my damn ice cream. Ruined my damn mood man

Fast delivery, great service, AMAZING pizza. They do all sorts of interesting pizzas and every single one is delicious. Be sure to try the Mac and cheese pizza!

Delivery was fast, southwest salad was simple and fresh, and pizza was amazing. Only complaint was I asked the driver for red pepper and cheese and he said they charge for that. Which is the first time I've ever heard of a pizza place charging for pepper and cheese packets.

This place has the best pizza in Madison, this place is fun at any time. Most definitely the most fun around 2 a.m. If you are trying to go a nice qiuet date then this is the place. Everyone is nice, friendly laughing music typically playing in the backround.

They have the best Mac n cheese pizza I have ever had in my entire life. The managers have done a great putting together a fun college vibe with excellent food. This place is a 10 out of 10. I wish I could have more stars to give this place. I have been here so many times I feel bad that I haven't given them a review years ago.

I went earlier this month and after I had eaten my slice I saw 1 of the specials was crab Rangoon so I knew I had to go back and try it. That's what I got & it's very good. I would highly recommend it!!!

Ian's is just the kind of fast pizza joint that every pizza joint wants to be. They have a wide selection of flavors, and each one is fantastic. The crust is some of the best in the area, and the price isn't too shabby for the size and quality of slice that you're getting.

The pizza is great. In Madison in May visiting, and my son took me here. Definite a must go.

The place was very busy,but the service was still fast and friendly. Pizza was hot, fresh and very good! All kinds of different slices to choose from with other special varieties weekly

Visited here late night with friends post-ragnar. If I am remembering correctly, it was amazing

Every time they forgetting my order when it s not even busy...

The workers there were very rude. I asked what type of pizzas they had and they rolled their eyes and said are you serious? There was no clear menu so I couldn t tell what pizzas they had. They were very condescending and I will not return.

Average pizza, I'd rate it a step above the delivery chains. Don't much care for their odd variety of toppings (macaroni and cheese does not belong atop a pizza). Usually very crowded with a long line.

Ian's Pizza combines local atmosphere with their daily events, such as comedy nights, etc. with great pizza at a reasonable price. Low grease content, as well as a large variety to choose from, including their ever-popular Mac & Cheese pizza slices. Don't forget the puppy chow, proceeds for the dessert go toward the Dane County Humane Society.

8/27/2018 Update: They now have "Side Salad" options, which are smaller than their signature large salad bowls. Slightly bigger than a normal at-home bowl.

We love ians... especially at bar time! The staff always deals with the drunks well!

Pizza here is so delicious !! Tastes super fresh and they have a wide variety. Classic slice for 3.00 or 3.50 and specialty slice for 4.50. Slices are huge and really good, they have a unique pizza called the mac and cheese which is delectable! Highly recommend and would recommend their BBQ chicken pizza!

On the weekends the place is packed due to bar time. Decent on the price and the choices of pizza are ok

Love that Mac n cheese by the slice! This place is a nice pizza joint with a bit of down town flare. The staff are alway on the ball, and the price is ok. They have a very good selection to choose from, you name it, they got it. So go with something you never had before on a pizza and you wont be disapointed.
