Best pizza I've had in a long time, a bit pricey but very good.

Great place to grab a slice after a few hours at the local watering hole. They were fast, friendly and it was good pizza. Not the best pizza, but good. If I'm ever in Madison again I'll swing on by. Thanks for pizza!

I'm from New Jersey and I have to say that the pizza here is alright. Pretty much everything matches what we have here in the Jersey/New York area. The only difference is that the dough is thicker.

Environment is nice and has your typical loose chairs that you feel might fall apart. True east coast pizzeria feel.

Love Ian's! I make sure to stop in for a slice when I'm in Madison and was so glad to see the breakfast pizza's on Saturday morning. I loved the Denver omelet pizza. The biscuit & gravy pizza was tempting, maybe next time

Situated right on State Street and one block off of the Capitol square. A perfect place to get a slice at lunch and the perfect place to get a slice in the evening. The best pizza? Nah, but it's a good piece of pie and it's available when you want it at a reasonable price. Keep up the good work Ian's.

Interesting pizza toppings with a friendly staff. Worth a visit if you're a pizza lover.

Very good atmosphere on state street. The pizza was great but there was a little too much cheese. I don t like a ton of cheese on my pizza so it is probably good for cheese lovers. It was cool to sit outside by state street. The water was amazing on the warm summer day. All in all great place and I would definitely recommend it.

Ian's pizza is wonderful. The pizzas always taste very fresh--the dough, especially, is quality. The restaurant itself is oftentimes busy, but the way it's set up allows for an easy ordering and pickup system. Despite the crowd, the vibe is cozy and... millenial-y. It's a really great pizza place with dozens of varieties of pie.

I tried the macaroni and cheese pizza and it was delicious, cheese pizza and breadsticks were good to!

Our food was great, and and a really friendly employee named Zach helped my group clean up a mess at 3 am before the store closed!

Decent slices, some of the toppings get a bit crazy (lot of mac & cheese pizzas).

Great college town atmosphere and outstanding pizza. Definitely try the mac & cheese pizza. Plus a full slate of salad options to go with your meal.

Best pizza downtown Madison! Always come to get breakfast pizza on Saturday mornings before going to the Farmers Market.

Much nicer than the francis street location, nicer staff as well. Very disappointed at the other location.

We come from out of town 2hrs away and the one place we come every single time is Ian's because no one can touch thier pizza crust and vegan options. However this time around we made sure we came hungry, and they only had 1 option. Mac and cheese. I understand that people love this novelty pizza but I don't like noodles on my pizza. It would be best to offer at least 2 vegan options next to your 15other non vegan options. Left hungry and irritated. I will need to call ahead next time I guess to avoid this disappointment again.

Very very good pizza. Would recommend any of the pizza. Gets busy often but that's just because tastes so darn good. Would recommend for tourists and anyone else.

The pizzas are quite good and economical. The best of these is the size. The slice is much larger than that of a normal pizza and they try to make them all the same size. The atmosphere is great and the attitude of the employees very good

This isnt the original ian s location, but it s the best one. These guys make the best salads AND get the pizza to the perfect temperature and doneness.

Good place to get a variety of pizza by the slice. Always busy. Pretty noisy. A little chaotic and confusing ordering and pick up. They have salads and vegan pizza options too. Pizza slices served hot and pretty tasty.

This is a very cool pizza joint and I wish we had an Ian's Pizza back home. The slices are large, delicious, and reasonably priced to boot. The atmosphere is very enjoyable. The place was rather busy when I visited but the service and speed was still great. The bathrooms are particularly full of character(s), literally! You'll have to give it a look if you're a video game fan! I fully intend to visit again next time I visit Madison.

Unique combinations of toppings available. Like black beans, avocados. Taste was very good.

Great slice of Hawaiian pizza with a crispy, but perfectly chewey, crust. Also, a very clean and lively atmosphere.

Amazing pies and surprisingly good salads. We love that you can get different dipping sauces and it's awesome that they have an option to get giardiniera on the side (for $1). Nice artwork, cool bathrooms - oh, and great pie! Also, best deal in town for the "Old School Special" - 20" classic pep or cheese for $15. Amazing.

Tomato pesto will be my addiction til the end of time.... 4 stars due to it being seasonal.

Fun pizzas like Mac and cheese pizza and chicken Alfredo pizza LOL. My ancestors are rolling in their grave but hugely popular with the students nonetheless. Nice selection of sales too.

Always a fun and cheap place to visit and try unique pizza toppings. Flexible hours make it ideal for a late-night snack after drinks with friends. If you re looking for something on the lighter side, they also have large (and tasty) salads at a reasonable price. The architecture of Ian s on State is unique and cool- lending an atmosphere not commonly found at a by-the-slice pizza place.

This place deserves its reputation for awesomeness. The food is delicious and even though there's almost always a crowd because it's so popular, you still aren't waiting for your pizza as long as you would at other places.

Love Ian's. Whenever I'm in Madison I just have to pop in and see what kind of fun new pizzas they have. But aside from the unique toppings, its really good pizza. I would happily eat just plain cheese on a crust likw that. Its thin & crispy in the perfect way. Only wish is that I had one where I live. Its a must see for me.

They refuse serving a young lady wearing a gym outfit. The food you get is served on a paper plate not a 5 star resturant.

Delicious and creative pizza by the slice. Lots of good vegetarian options and even some vegan ones. It can get a bit crowded but the line moves fast. You sound definitely try something new when you're there. The specials are great and of course the Mac N cheese is a classic.

Pizza here is really good. Sometimes its just so packed it takes forever to get your food.

I had a Greek salad in spite of the recall on romaine lettuce and it was good. My wife had pizza and a bread stick which she enjoyed. My daughter also got a salad. Total bill was ~$25, an excellent price.
