Fun for kids in a beautiful natural environment. Safe & well maintained.
Kids had a ball here. I like that there are shade options for families to hang out under during the day.
Lots of space for kids to run around. The playground is enclosed so there's only 1 real exit from the gated area.
There are so many choices for kids to choose from. Water sprays for cooling down, sand box area for toddlers, tire swings and your typical slides to name a few. Guest facilities are air conditioned and clean includes lockers, restroom and concession stand.
Great grooming on the xcountry ski trails.
Also, helpful, good natured staff!
Beautiful and fun. Playground is amazing. Lots of biking and hiking.
Huge park with plenty to keep your kids busy for hours.
The park is huge and is fun for all ages. The lake is so close and there are park benches and public bathrooms it is a really great place for kids and parents.
Love this local ski place, chalet is comfortable, staff are helpful.
What a great play area! My six year old grandson couldn't wait to get to the top of the climbing structure! Although I only got glimpses of him during the two hours we were there, I could tell he was so excited and happy as he climbed and discovered one surprising area after another.
Amazing too, was that there were so many children of wide age ranges, and yet with so much to do and explore, everyone was having a great time.
I really appreciated the fountains and clean restrooms, many picnic tables, benches, and places to sit. It was one wonderful afternoon!
Nice park well kept only thing to be cautious of is the narrow roads and the parking
I love roller skiing here, there are aslo a lot of trails you can run through grass and pavement. Great place for a workout
Love this park for running and the play area for the kids is like no other.
Great place and staff is wonderful lift workers are friendly and rentals are reasonably priced, been coming to this place for years! The updated place is delightful. Good work three rivers park district
Loved going to this park! Lots of gorgeous scenery and wildlife. We saw a hawk swooping over the restored prairie area and deer in the forest among other animals. Many trail sections and options to choose from! Bring your camera and take your time going through this gorgeous place in the middle of a bustling suburb to enjoy all it has to offer!
Great place for get togethers. Huge park for kids, lake for fishing and kayaking/canoeing. Picnic tables and grilles spread out for more privacy. Great park!
It s a great playground. Unfortunately, it s ALWAYS closed and they never update their website to let you know it s closed. This is the second time we ve driven 45 minutes to come here only for it to be closed.
This place has lot of recreation areas. Every recreation area has its own mobile bathroom, grill and seats, so you have plenty of options to avoid crowds or to be with the crowd.
Very nice place for cross country sking and very friendly staff.
It has an amazing park and its super fun to ski around there
Huge playground! Excellent for all ages
There are boats too that you can rent.
Great playground area. Only two exits, rest is fenced in. There is play equipment for toddlers and up. Can get incredibly busy on holidays and end of the school year. Not open during the winter. Inside bathrooms are close by, but outside the fenced area. Concessions are available at times as well. Water fountains and picnic tables are available as well. The play area is wheel chair accessible as well.
Great place a lot of outdoor activities to do. Well maintained park and facilities.
A gorgeous park with camping, trails, water rentals and a giant play area! What's not to like?
Perfect walking Trails or to go fishing or just to have the kids go play at the park
Nice disc golf course but you'll want the UDisk app to navigate otherwise it's kind of hard to find the t-pads. They have a short course mixed in that weaves through the long course. This is also on the ski hill and is windy so it plays way longer than advertised. Baskets can be on super steep hills so be forewarned. Can also be busy with pedestrians walking and hiking through the course.
Great outdoor escape in the middle of the metro. Fun place to enjoy a hike, picnic, winter skiing, or wet a line on the lakes.
Very beautiful lake. They have fishing deck and picnic area. We can rent canoe or kayak. The restroom is also opened. We loved this park and would visit again. People can setup birthday party here.
WONDERFUL ABUNDANCE OF THINGS FOR KIDS OF ALL AGES. CLEAN BATHROOMS, GREAT CONCESSION. ALL IN ALL A FUN AFTERNOON & THE ONLY EXPENSES $O.OO. THANK YOU FOR SHARING YOUR PARK. LIZ FROM ALTOONA IOWA
One of our favorite places to visit in MN! Free fun for the kids...best playground we have ever been to!
So much to do! Great trails for walking and cycling. Chutes and Ladders playground is amazing with tons of seating and shade! My family loves it here.
The trails here are great! There are nicely paved and very clean! The bugs arent overwhelming and the location is great! I love walking my two dogs here.
Disappointed that the park is closed for the winter season. There's still plenty of great weather left. That being said, the playground itself is pretty fantastic! I'll be sure to update my rating if hours change or are more accessible to more people.
Good hills for training, decent sized terrain park.
Friendly staff, clean ski rental area
I was there for a wedding reception, beautiful grounds, grass is very well kept as well as their newly renovated interior.
This is a super awesome park for the south metro. You can do all sorts of stuff here. Bike, hike, run, disc golf, sled, ski, snowboard, swim, playgrounds, picnic, learn, explore. They've got acres and acres of forest, prairie, and wildlife. Definitely worth checking out. It's an amazing park and resource to have.
Very plesent scenery for daily brisk morning speed walk. Beware of children. Baseball hit me in the head, set my training back several days. I am training for the speedwalking national.
Great recreation area right in the heart of the city. Miles of cross country skiing trails for all skill levels. And the best thing is that it's lighted so I can get some cc skiing in after work on my way home. It's a great way to make it thru the long Minnesota winters!
Love this place!! I run through the trails weekly and it's a fantastic get away. I've seen deer, turkeys, rabbits, and even a couple of coyotes. Fantastic place to spend a day.
Incredibly awesome three Rivers park network. A beautiful Hennepin county Park. Tons to do for the entire family.
Nice place gave it a 3 star because you have to pay for parking.
Nice trails, LOTS of picnic tables and beautiful spots to sit...eitherby lake, by the playground or somewhere under a tree. Plenty of water activity rental options. Great spot for a visit
Loved it big park trails to walk nice lake big play area for kids.Picnic benches and barbecues.
Great family friendly Hill. Lots of variation in terrain. Large comfortable modern Lodge. It's a great place for so close to the twin cities.
So terrific! Amazing playground and very affordable canoe and other water rentals. Very peaceful and beautiful lake!
Wild turkeys a d wild raspberries- great biking/walking on or off trail
I love this reserve! I've been going here my entire life and am now completing the circle and taking my son. We went on the first of the year so it was really quiet but the day before we had just missed the campfire smore and hot chocolate event.
You can rent to different kinds of snowshoes here to go into the park's surrounding trails. There are three lightweight metal ones in different sizes and the traditional wooden ones that are large. They also have the treads you put on your shoes behind the counter if the ground is slick.
The 'old' part of the building has the viewing room raptors, and bee hives while the newer party has the interactive things for children and classrooms.
Handicap, wheelchair, stroller friendly with several bathrooms.
Can host parties.
Offers classes and events.
Another great place for the whole family to enjoy. Construction work going on at the play area for kids for a while but still lots of other places to run and play.
Great outdoors area for kids with lot of fun activities
Great ski hill, very friendly employees, not the biggest hill but great for beginners and fairly cheap.
Unbelievable venue. If I could rate 6 stars, I would. My wife and I had our wedding reception here and it couldn't have been more spectacular. This place is the perfect size for around 250 guests. The inside of the chalet is very spacious and open, the view of the grassy hill in the spring is phenomenal, the staff and service is out of this world, and pricing is more than reasonable. HIGHLY recommended.
They also have one of my favorite disc golf courses here!
Hyland Lake area is an amazing nature area to get out of the city with the kids. Something for everyone, from the playground for kids, nature center, hiking, water sports, walking trails, ski jumping in winter, etc. Our family favorite is the Hylamd Lake Park playground. The older kids love the large "jungle gym" type climbing areas, and tire swings, and the numerous twirly slides to fly down, younger girls can play on the two smaller play areas for their ages. Their are indoor restrooms and concessions as well. Great place to spend the day relaxing while the kids play.
Beautiful place to ski - Fun trails, great snow, and overall a very great location to spend a few hours
One of the best xc ski areas in Minneapolis but does not share a pass with Wirth
Easy to find; lots of trail options. Frequent maps. Lovely vistas; can't wait to come back to see the leaves change.
The kids play area (Chutes & Ladders) is second to none
Great three rivers park similar to Elm Creek. There are some sprinklers so bring extra change of clothes!
Why would they shut down part of the ski hill early on Christmas Eve Eve?!? Fun place to learn and grow your skill set
The kids love this play area. After 3pm in the summer the school groups depart and it is much quieter (and easier to keep track of your kiddos). If playing on the playground gets to be too much, there is always a hike around the lake waiting for you.
We had the UnitedHealthcare Medicare and Retirement Producers Help Desk picnic here for the third year in a row. The area is perfect with grills, a large ice chest cooler, volleyball net, beanbag game and plenty of open spaces. The covered area has seating with ample space for nearly 100 of us. Several areas available. Parking can be a slight challenge as the larger lot is about 75 yards away. Satellites are close and the sites are on the lake.
Great place to be! They have so many trails, mostly beginner level ones. An excellent place to spend the weekend at
Their bird observatory is also something worth giving a shot
Very nice park. Lots trails to cover. Tough geocaches and no hints. Dissappointing on that count. So much to see loved it. Coming back.
It's fun and free what more could you want. They also have boat rental on the cheap as the park is right there with hyland lake.
They have paved trails and dirt paths so there's something for everyone. Pretty easy to wander around for hours and not get bored if you truly enjoy nature.
Plenty to experience here. From walking trails around Norandale Lake to disc golfing on the ski hill. Something for everyone.
