One of the most memorable local bigger parks in the area if you enjoy trails, lakes, and wildlife tucked away conveniently off 494 just off West Bush lake road. Great for walks, running, bikes, and cross country skiing with a variety of scenery trails go from prairie to forest. Snow shoeing and kayaking depending on season available for rent I believe.

Kids love this place. Be very careful if you have more than one kids. They will go to the opposite ends and you will not be able to keep a eye on both. It's a must go and a 2 parent deal or one kid, one parent. Overall very funny. My kids can not wait till it opens up in a couple months.

great snowboarding experience this was way better than Buck Hill this is only my second time going snowboarding but man it was so many hills that you could choose from so it spread out and made the lines shorter. I give this pace five stars all day.

Always a great place to BBQ while kids play in the big park area. Their first stop is always the tire swings. They can't wait for the water sprayers to turn on. Nice trails to walk/bike around also.

Great place for kids to play outside for hours. Always plenty of other kids to play with as well. Only downside to this park is the "concession" stand. Cheap, but stand workers are...questionable...at best

A+++ If you get a chance, visit this beautiful park! This one is by far one of our top park picks. Plenty of walking trails, places to have a picnic (restaurants close by) and the best part is the potential pictures. It is also very kid and dog friendly, which is great for our dog Lucy Loo Loo. They also have a variety of activities that are geared towards families. If you are looking for a serious hiking trail, this park has that covered too. Restrooms are on-site. Just be watch for turtles crossing the road and some paths. ;-)

What a great park, there's something for everyone here. Hiking, fishing, canoeing, picnic tables. And a super humongous play area for kids. Rarely seen so many structures to climb and slide on. It's amazing!

Great playground. Somewhat intimidating for toddlers and parents watching multiple kids since it's so expansive. Reccomend one-to-one until kids are ok with having to find you. Amazing free playground that knocks all the paid ones out of the... park.

This place has been so refreshing to come visit. I went with a friend to get out of the city and take a break from our studies and this place couldn't of been a better choice! The trees were all changing colors, the trails we're taken care of and clean, and there were plenty of picture worthy moments(so much so that we probably added a hour or so to our walk from just taking photos). I highly recommend this place to all ages! Very friendly people who work here/upkeep the park.

Hyland has a great cross country ski trail where they make snow so you will always have snow in winter. They have roughly 5 miles of walking/biking trails that are paved in summer. Has canoe and paddle boat rentals as well in the summer. Lots of picnic tables, grills and Chutes and Ladders play area for kids which is pretty large.

Chutes a ladders is a fantastic play area. It gets crowded on weekends and when school is out. It's not to crowded to play, but can be challenging to keep track of where your kids are in the huge play area. Be sure to set a meeting point.

Great frisbee golf course! Plenty of unique shots to practice. Looks like there are also running/hiking trails as well. Some of the course intersects the trails but everyone my group came across was very polite/respectful. Wonderful experience!

Closed July 15 for an unknown amount of time! Play area and all buildings closed at this time. I didn't see anything on Google or on the hyland park page that acknowledges this closing. Frustrating to drive here and find it closed. Call first!

I am a beginner snowboarder (today is my 3rd day) and I went snowboarding at highland hills. The place is great but I wish they groomed a little more often and it s a little small. With not that much room to grow unless you are going to do park. So all considered 3-4 stars.
