Very nice Park, large with many walking and skiing...
Very nice Park, large with many walking and skiing paths. Dog friendly with several long loops. Very good place to take your dog for a walk

It's a place for family outing. Kids have a huge play area. For adults there are awesome walking tracks. Very nice place to visit / spend time during summer
Great place to take kids. Big tall playground structures, plenty to climb on, huge slides.
A fun park, we carried in a canoe and explored. So fun for a quick day on the lake.
Beautiful place close by. Can go fishing, has a play area for kids, bike riding and picnicking.
Fantastic spot for all types of recreation! I personally frequent the trails and paved paths when running or roller blading. Great spot to bring your pup for a long or short walk with tons of wildlife to see. Highly recommend this location for all ages as a fun natural space in Bloomington.
Great artificial snow for xc skiing at a good value, only $9/day
Beautiful, well maintained grounds. The building at Richardson Nature Center is lovely and modern. The programs are excellent.
Best park in the Twin Cities! Fun playground, renting a boat, biking or jogging, even just sitting by the lake. It's a lot of fun.
One of the better parks in the state. Great walking trails and there are water activities. I make the extra effort to drive the 40 minutes to go there for my daughter. Sometimes parts are closed for maintenance, but don't let that deter you.
It was a great place. They have awesome playgrounds, grilling areas and paddle boats. We had a lot of fun and will return soon.
Gets kind of busy, but not a bad little hill for the Midwest, the keep a good park for the freestylers.
Wonderful park with a good mix of paved and rough trails of varying degrees of difficulty.
One of the best walking and activity filled parks I have ever been to! Great job to all the park staff!
I spent 2 little time here. Definitely need 2 go again.
This is the best and biggest outdoor park I know of in the Metro Area. It is pretty clean and there are sitting areas with huge umbrellas for shade. They have two bathrooms and they sell food and water. They have mist coming out of pipes so you can cool off as well. There's usually lots of kids to play with.
I've been coming to this park for years for walks and biking. Tried the kayak rental a few weeks back and had a blast. Rates are a few dollars less than some other places I've visited. The staff was also friendly and helpful at the rental office which made for an easy first experience.
This is a wonderful place! The "chutes and ladders" play area is spectacular for kids... And their parents who always wanted such a play area! :)
Awesome park.. soo much to do and good variety for different ages. Def recommend
Very nice area very clean and good time very hilly good work out.
Fun, wish they had a seniors only day. Lots of kids. Dangerous for old folks.
Fantastic playgrounds! Don't miss the second level and climbing walls in between!
Great hiking for an afternoon with the dog. Trails are wide and well groomed. Have not been to Hyland in winter, but seems great.
LOTS of space to play. The paddle boating is a plus too!!
Cross country skiing review. They do a great job of grooming and snowmaking. Amazingly, the 5K loop of man made snow does not get boring. Great hills.
Great area for fishing. There were about 20+ sunnies right off the dock. Great park too.
Amazing! We went here while visiting family from Illinois. I've never been somewhere like this that didn't cost an arm and a leg to play at.
Beautiful park nestled in Bloomington. The trail are well maintained and Hyland lake is very scenic. The paddleboats seemed unusually hard to peddle, but are very simple to rent.
Nice place to walk dogs but for some reason they can't walk on the nonpaved trails which is a bummer especially since there are so many bikes on the paved trails. But all in all a great place.
Great place for cross country skiing, nice rental equipment and wonderful groomed trails. Plenty of man-made snow.
Best park ever for all ages I have 8 grandchildren we love it here
Great park for cross country skiing. They have rentals for skiis inside the main chalet. Lots of trails so you won't get bored.
Such a beautiful place to run, walk, and play! This is such a gem right on the outskirts of the Twin Cities. Lots of free parking, too!
This is probably the best playground in the state of Minnesota. I literally drove an hour to have my son play here. My 6 yr old son spent 4 hours here and still didn't want to leave.
Best XC skiing in the Twin Cities when there is little or no natural snow!
Great place for families and beginners. Offer 1-time lessons for the day of your visit. Decent rental equipment.
I like this place. Lot of options for outdoor activities.
Enjoyable to get outside in Minnesota. The entire Hyland Park area is well maintained and respected by its guests. This makes it nice for all.
Really amazing playground and it's free I didn't get any pictures too busy chasing a three year old they have a lot of different sizes of equipment for different ages sure we'll be back there soon try to get some pictures
Great cross country skiing on the snow making loops.
Lots of great trails for walking and biking. Dogs are allowed on the trails. There is canoe and paddle boat rentals. Lots of picnic tables and grills.
This park is amazing! I've been bringing my daughter here and now my nieces and nephews for over 12 years and never had anything to complain about.
Very nice place for kids playing at this huge park! They have many grill spots, picnic area with tables, walking, cycling, hiking, sand volleyball, picnic spot with shelters ( need reservation), paddling boats, canopy, fishing, boat dock area, public restrooms, snack / Ice cream shop etc.
Best park in the cities! A couple things to consider: it s HUGE and has several exits, so if you have a wandering kid or many kids to watch, this may be stressful for you. Great for ALL ages! Bring the swimsuits, there are sprayers to make it like a splash pad. Great picnic areas. Many school/daycare groups come.
Beautiful park. You can rent watercraft and enjoy the water, or awesome playground. Lots of seating for a picnic.
This is a nice easy place to walk. Lots of paved trails through woods. I've walked here before, and the mosquitos can get bad. I've seen rabbits, turtles, frogs, toads, and lots of water foul. There's a cool play area here too. I'm way too old to appreciate that though. I'd love walking here a lot if I was closer to it. Also, there is lots of wheeled traffic here. That's mostly why I give it only 4 stars.
Amazing playground, great place for families to play. Stopped here while traveling after eating lunch to get the energy burned off. Bathrooms are well kept. Beautiful views.
Big park. Different play areas for different age groups.
The park here is the best in town, but don't come here. So we can keep the crowds down....
Super busy pretty much all the time but very big and kids will have a hay day and be wore out stuff for adults too and there's a snack bar too
I have always loved Chutes and Ladders Park!! This park is well maintained and usually packed. There is plenty of seating for those not climbing all over everything and dogs are permitted on the trails but not in the actual park. There is a concessions building with food, beverage and toilets. There is also plenty of parking but leave your windows down because there is minimal shade if any!
Beautiful, well maintained reserve, huge playground for the kids, great information about the park, activities and events inside.
Love these trails for running. Plenty of parking is available and the have plenty of hills to train on
