Fantastic spot for all types of recreation! I personally frequent the trails and paved paths when running or roller blading. Great spot to bring your pup for a long or short walk with tons of wildlife to see. Highly recommend this location for all ages as a fun natural space in Bloomington.

One of the better parks in the state. Great walking trails and there are water activities. I make the extra effort to drive the 40 minutes to go there for my daughter. Sometimes parts are closed for maintenance, but don't let that deter you.

This is the best and biggest outdoor park I know of in the Metro Area. It is pretty clean and there are sitting areas with huge umbrellas for shade. They have two bathrooms and they sell food and water. They have mist coming out of pipes so you can cool off as well. There's usually lots of kids to play with.

I've been coming to this park for years for walks and biking. Tried the kayak rental a few weeks back and had a blast. Rates are a few dollars less than some other places I've visited. The staff was also friendly and helpful at the rental office which made for an easy first experience.

Nice place to walk dogs but for some reason they can't walk on the nonpaved trails which is a bummer especially since there are so many bikes on the paved trails. But all in all a great place.

Best park in the cities! A couple things to consider: it s HUGE and has several exits, so if you have a wandering kid or many kids to watch, this may be stressful for you. Great for ALL ages! Bring the swimsuits, there are sprayers to make it like a splash pad. Great picnic areas. Many school/daycare groups come.

This is a nice easy place to walk. Lots of paved trails through woods. I've walked here before, and the mosquitos can get bad. I've seen rabbits, turtles, frogs, toads, and lots of water foul. There's a cool play area here too. I'm way too old to appreciate that though. I'd love walking here a lot if I was closer to it. Also, there is lots of wheeled traffic here. That's mostly why I give it only 4 stars.

I have always loved Chutes and Ladders Park!! This park is well maintained and usually packed. There is plenty of seating for those not climbing all over everything and dogs are permitted on the trails but not in the actual park. There is a concessions building with food, beverage and toilets. There is also plenty of parking but leave your windows down because there is minimal shade if any!
