Great place for XC skiing and snowshoeing. Equipment rental available too.
Great place for XC skiing and snowshoeing. Equipment rental available too.
This is a really cool place for kids 2-10 yrs old(play area)! The kids get a lot of large muscle movement as well as hand and eye coordination. The climbing equipment is netted in but very high up! I would make sure all kids wear sneakers! They even have a water spritsing area!!! Lots of picnic space and they have public restrooms, drinking water, grills and a food vendor on site! This park also has walking trails! Enjoy
Beautifully kept grounds. Many birthday parties were being held there.
Good skiing, good restaurant, great facilities. I don't like the parking situation and I had difficulty at the pay station getting out of the lot. Very small ski area and ticket prices are as high as other, bigger ski areas.
it's a nice park hard to keep an eye on your children
Kids love this place. Huge park that used to be known as chutes and ladders. During the summer have water misters available to cool kids off.
Beautiful park and an amazing place to enjoy the outdoors. Two minuses are the gravel road near the parking lot and the unwelcoming construction that's going on.
Great kids play area, nice walking paths and fun quiet place to canoe with cheap rentals available.
Something for all ages, and nicely organized so little ones don't get in over their heads.
Great place for all age kids. They have bike trail and a huge jungle gym where everyone can play, also a playground. Picnic tables and the lake is close by. Enough parking for everyone. Restrooms are close by and clean. They sale also icecream, pretzels, chips. And if you get too hot thre is air conditioning inside of the offices. They also have water fountain.
Great paths. Good deal for kayak rental, and a beautiful lake to kayak on.
Great bike and walking paths.
Wonderful place to bring kids! Plenty of things to do and an area to cool off. Plus trails and picnic tables!
The jungle gym here is HUGE, it's 5 jungle gyms put together. They have a jungle gym for 1-3 year olds, one for 4-10 year olds and one for 10+ year olds.
Great place for little kids to burn off energy... If that is possible.
Great place for short picnics, birthday party or outdoor recreation.
Fun hill in metro area. Nice variety, ticket prices are reasonable, facilities are nice but runs are super short.
Great hiking trails. Sup lake in the summer. Play ground.
Awesome climbing area, great walking trails overlooking the water
One of the best playgrounds I've ever seen. Plenty of picnic tables and areas. Clean restrooms in the visitor center nearby.
Big place to tire your kids out and to have a good time.
FREE! Amazing jungle gym for little walkers AND big kids. Water mist stations for hot days. Lots of tables & shade. Loved it.
Thanks for teaming up with Cycle Health to create a great kids obstacle course race! It was a beautiful trail and a great event. And it give us an excuse to go to chutes and ladders park again! Living on the other side of the cities we don't go often, but it's one of our favorite play areas!
A nice area to do some paddle boating, canoeing, or kayaking.
Amazing! The trails are one of my favorite places to run.
Huge park, just what my kids wanted when they asked for a large park. Lots of things to do and explore in the playground.
Lots of fun, activities for kids to burn off energy!
Perfect in all seasons! I love to bike in the Summer, Spring, and Fall, I took school dance photos here, and I cross country (Nordic) skii here multiple times a week in the Winter. Love it and I will be returning.
Very clean, amazing paths, lakes are good for sight seeing and relaxing at, close to bush lake for swimming
My family and I loved it. This place has an awesome park and beautiful walking paths.
I have been taking my kids there since they were little, they love that park. Now I take my grandkids there.
Great chalet and small ski hill right 20 minutes from downtown Minneapolis
Great playground for the kids lots of picnic areas and trails, beaches and fishing! Great place for the family!
Best park in Minnesota without a doubt. Now if they would just expand the park to accommodate the number of guests they actually receive.
Very nice park. The trail wasn't very busy eventhough the parking lot was full.
Big place for fun. Got all kinds of slides and a walking area
Nice, large play area with a variety of equipment. Crowded. Expected more based on other people's descriptions. Just seemed like a really big park. I would go again, but only if I were in the area.
3.3 miles of manmade snow trails! Where else can enjoy cross country skiing when it doesn't snow enough?
What a beautiful park with nicely paved trails. We did not have time to go far as it was late evening when we arrived and the park closes at 10. However, it looks to be a wonderful place for any number of events...family picnics, weddings, school outings...etc. From what I understand there are 18 miles of trails. I look forward to exploring them more.
Great place for the kids to run off some energy. And if you're small enough and you can join them. Huge park and humongous play area!
Hands down one of my favorite places to bring kids of all ages!!
During certain times of the year, they even have a mini splash pad going - soft ground, so many slides I couldn't even count them all, and play structures fit for toddlers through adult sizes (great when you gotta help a kid down from the top).
I took a panorama to try to capture it all, but honestly there's still more to explore: like a set of tire swings up the steps area (behind the toddler area), and a jungle gym climbing structure to the far right.
It can get pretty busy if daycares are visiting (but that's a risk with any great park!). Overall, definitely worth traveling from our neck of the woods ;)
**PROS: great for ages toddler and up. Lots of variety and different skill levels/interests. Comfortable benches and tables and umbrellas, including areas close to the toddler area.
**CONS: closed seasonally (check their website for up to date info). Not integrative (though you can take the light incline up to the playground, vs the steps, there's steps, stairs, etc. that would bar certain special needs children from enjoying the park). Though there's a fence around most of it, the sheer size and amount of things do mean that if you have a runner, you'll be biting your nails at this place!

Beautiful park with a great lake to hang out at or walk around. They have a bunch of charcoal grills right next to the building and lake.
Possibly the best cross country skiing in the cities - they make snow and have lights for nighttime skiing, and they've got a nice mix of pretty easy and really hilly. Hyland helps make winter with having!! :)
I drive a handful of miles here to run in the summer and xc ski in the winter. The xc ski trails offer the best man made and some of the best natural trails in the Twin cities
My neighboring park. Great rentals , mountain biking appears to be a big hit. Kids area has a large set of net climbes and mist machine, helpful on hot summer days. Unfortunately the slides are not as exciting as when I was younger, they made them less thrilling but safety I guess was the goal. Fishing is decent, large docks. Concession stand is better than most
great ski trails. nice chalet. massively improved parking.
Great place to cross country ski on the groomed trails.
Too much mosquitoes but good light makes it a great photograpehic day
Beautiful space to be in nature. Hiking, biking, running and a one of a kind playground for kids
Gorgeous getaway in Bloomington! Loved all the different trails!
My family enjoy this place when ever we visit ... we are frequent visitor of this place
Awesome play area
Nice sitting area and recreational area. Overall great place to visit.
Very expansive park with a lot of amenities from trails to playgrounds to lakes and picnic areas! Maybe you'll even see some loons.
Fun even for my tweens but there are less intimidating areas for littles, too. Bathroom and water nearby. Shaded seating for adults or picnics.
Fun place for snowshoeing today with 4 inches of fresh snow. Real busy when we left at 2pm. I would think that early morning would be less crowded.
1 of the best playgrounds and many other things to do.
Excellent park but very crowded during COVID so check to see how busy it is before going as it felt like people did not know we had a pandemic going on.
A place to be active year-round. Walking, running, cycling, canoeing, rollerblading, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and on and on.
I love this place... The play ground is amazing and they have a dock where you can go fishing
