With our warmer winters, if you want to consistently XC ski all season, then you need to get the season pass there.
There is tons of variety in playgrounds and it is huge. It is also free.
This park is so fun! It's got a play place for every age and so much space for running around. My one worry about it is that it is so huge and that there are so many places that your child can leave the play place from. That's my only thing keeping this from 5 stars. I was very uneasy for the first half hour or so, following my charge (I'm a babysitter) around to make sure I could see him. BUT, he loved it and once we established a check-in, it was good!
Kids absolute favorite great lark and good area to walk and learn
Nice playground and park. Great for family gatherings.
Very nice setup for family picnic. Enough covered space for a rainy day. Good boating facilities.
Fun to see fireworks and the park holds a big 4th of July celebration on the 3rd.
Second best and most challenging disc golf course in the Twin Cities the only thing better you're going to find is Blue Ribbon Pines, but you can't beat that view and their new Pro Shop and Chalet is incredible.
I couldn't wait to buy my season pass.
Great playground for a wide array of ages. Beautiful park. Picnic tables with umbrellas. Pro tip: You can't get Jimmy John's delivered here, but Papa John's will hook you up.
Sweet little hiking trails. Enjoyed doing all of the loops around the lakes and in through the wooded areas and fields. The park is HUGE! We live 3 miles away and had no idea it even existed! Nice surprise.
Great cross country skiing trails. Rentals are easy and good quality
I'm sure this park gets busy during the weekend. Today was a fun day!
An amazing refuge in the middle of town. Use the paths almost every day.
Staff were unfriendly to high school racers at our section meet today. Temperature was one below zero and they want to kick us out of the main chalet. They claimed the volume of students was to much. Unfriendly and unwelcoming for high schoolers who all have season passes to the park. South Suburban Section meet. Short sighted staff members need to remember their client base in the future. Thanks Don
BEAUTIFUL place....hard to believe you're in the middle of Bloomington. This is a real gem and worth a visit if you want to take a break from the daily grind & enjoy some peace, quiet & nature. There's picnic areas, hiking trails, and all kinds of different activities to do for young & old. This is part of the Three Rivers park system. We were there on a school field trip & their staff were awesome. Go online & check out the wide variety of activities available here, and I believe the staff mentioned that most of it is free of charge. Leave the electronics behind & enjoy some family time at this lovely park & lake area!
Great place to go cross-country skiing, it's with a three Rivers, so when you get a pass for here you get it to other places also.
Very huge play Area for kids and nice walking trails
Hung out at "Chutes and ladders" play area. Lots of room for the kids to run, shaded areas, bbq places, water works for the kids to run through, overall a nice place.
Great snowmaking, wide trails to handle lots of skiers, hills and flats in progressively more challenging loops make this an ideal place for Nordic skiing. When there is enough natural snow, lots of groomed trails for all skiers.
View from the fishing dock. She wobbles a bit but she is strong.
Wonderful park with an incredible playground and beautiful lake views!
Very nice grounds. Great children's play area too. The community room area is small and quaint and made for a good gathering when rented out. The staff was kind as well.
Beautiful, well maintained park, with great hiking and biking trails
Visiting from out of town, the granddaughters had such a wonderful time.
We went back in the late afternoon it was much more pleasant, not as busy.
Thank you for such a wonderful park, the locals are very blessed!
This Beautiful Park is one of MN best kept secrets. Family had a ball!!
Great destination for family fun. The whole gang enjoyed it!
With Minnesota comes lakes, and with lakes, comes this little gem. Beautiful outdoor scenery makes for a perfect place to go if you have an hour to kill.
Something for everyone. My kids love this place! Keeps them busy for hours!
Big park but always too crowded. Kids always get banged up elbows in spiral slides. They took out the super long metal tube slide and added more plastic not as cool slides.
Huge playground for the kids. Many picnic tables all spread out throughout the park.
Absolutely amazing playground and great walking trails. We loved it.
Great value for cross country skiing. Well groomed and well lit trails that have been frequently used the last year due to the lack of snow.
Good place to go fishing, walking, renting boats, giant park with very large slides where your children can have fun when they are older.
My children really like this place.
I recommend them
Huge, modern complex, fun climbing structures, lovely views of all lake. Well worth the drive!
Love that ground is soft and children not getting hurt. Water falls awesome on hot days, and tremendous ropes to climb on
Nice, extensive walking trails, paved and dirt. Benches for resting. Decent scenery.
Went there today for skiing, it was a high quality experience and worth the money.
Lovely sprawling land with trails and epic play area. Plenty to do- we will spend lots of sunny summer afternoons here.
Lovely place to walk around and has a nice sledding hill for the kiddos
This place is amazing to take the kids for a full days worth of play.
Incredible park for the kiddies to play at and super nice concessions for quick snacks. Awesome day picnic place!
We live a short distance from this Park, and we know every trail here. Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring we are there. Walking or biking, and sometimes Skiing and snowshoeing, there's always time. We have seen many different animals, birds, and fish in Hyland lake. It's a gem to this Community, and we hope it continues.
R&K
Wonderfully groomed cross country trails with track. A solid workout. Be sure to get a parking spot 8a or earlier on weekends.
Beautiful park, so many trails that are well kept. Visitors center with bathrooms, snacks and children's play area that will knock your socks off!
This reserve gives you everything you could hope for in a suburban park. Light hiking trails, one of the biggest playgrounds in the Twin Cities, and well kept cross country skiing trails in the winter (with equipment rental)
Variety of activities to keep kids interest level up.
Great place for a trail and hill run, but poorly marked trails.
Amazing place to spend a day.
Fantastic picnic spots
Grills for BBQing near the river
Children enjoy waking or running around in the park
Rest rooms available
Ideal place for peace and tranquillity right outside the city
Very nice park, trails. There are kayaks and canoes available for rental.
Great park for picnics... especially for kids. They have a really great play area with lots of climbing/tunnel/sliding. And they have fun run through sprinklers! Lots of parking and picnic areas with reservable pavilions. There is a nice lake to walk around and you can rent paddle boats. Avoid the geese in the spring...they are protective parents and are not very nice. Just down the road a bit is the Richardson Nature Center... Check that out, too.
