Location was nice in appearance, but due to electrical issues the DJ's equipment at the wedding reception was kicked off the breaker. He had a modest setup, the Hyatt needs to have their wiring inspected.

This large hotel is a good part of the overall chain. The lobby is large and clean, the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms are nice and well maintained. There is a bit of wear, but nothing out of the norm or which would take away from the overall positive experience. Standard rooms have two bottles of water (free for members). There is a restaurant and bar downstairs, both quite nice, as well as a coffee/pastry location that serves Starbucks. A great place to stay if you're visiting Wichita. Pro tip - it's about a 20 minute drive to the airport.

Nice hotel situated in downtown Wichita by the river. Our room had a beautiful river view as well. Helpful staff, entire facility very clean and organized. The pool was very small and had 1 hot tub that was full of slimy material & hair.
They have a Starbucks in hotel as well as a nice restaurant that serves both breakfast and dinner. I had their biscuits and gravy while my friend had an egg dish. Food was delicious but slow to arrive. Service was also less than adequate.
Many complimentary items for in room, large TV, spacious bathroom and room. Starbucks coffee in the room. I Didn t give 5 stars bc the beds were very hard. So hard that I couldn t sleep comfortably.

We attended a social studies event and it was fairly well organized. Parking was difficult, but the staff and speakers were great! The food is amazing and it was a comfortable room to be in for an extended amount of time.

We had our reception in the Riverview ballroom- I would high recommend this space.
Food- The food was OUTSTANDING. The banquet staff during dinner was on top of things, efficient, and polite.
Our catering sales manager Charlotte was a joy to work with. She was always on her game and went above and beyond for us many times. We truly appreciated everything she did! From our experience she in one of the only good things the Hyatt has going for them and they better hope to never lose her!

Areas of Improvement Needed:
Linens- The linens on the important tables were very wrinkly. The chair covers on the chairs were ivory and very, very stained.
At 12PM on the day of our wedding the room was barely set. They told us they had no plans of setting it until 3PM- our reception was at 6PM. Anyone who works in this industry knows this is absurd. There were no events in the room prior to our event, it should have been set by 8 AM. After much begging they agreed to have it done by 1PM which left our photographer little time to get pictures of all of the details. While I was pleading with the banquet staff on our wedding day to get the room set, my husband was dealing with billing because they charged his card twice for the reception bill maxing it out. If you are hosting a bar, the Hyatt configures "how many drinks they think will be consumed" and charges you upfront, they say that they will refund your money if you don't get to the limit and charge you if you go over the limit. On top of this they also charge you a contingency fee which should go to cover a hosted bar but they don't see it that way. When our bill arrived days after our wedding, sure enough the Hyatt claimed we drank the exact amount of glasses of wine and champagne they assumed we would drink. Not 2 glasses less or 16 more, the exact amount. We were completely taken advantage of and this is an unethical practice. To top it off I chose to serve a bottle of champagne at a higher price point then the Hyatt's house option. After the wedding I was in a liquor store with one our our wedding guest and pointed out to her the champagne we served and her response was, 'That bottle looks nothing like the champagne bottle behind the bars that night." She and my father along with a few other guests said it was terrible champagne, I can't help but assume they charged me the higher price point but still served their house option. The room block was a mess. The people were difficult to work with and were constantly confused with simple instructions. They gave us a price of $109.00. We filled our block and the Hyatt continued to add more rooms and continued to extend our cut-off date, I thought how nice of them. Two weeks prior to our event, a guest pointed out that they could book directly with Hyatt for rates of $89.00 and $99.00. When I called the Hyatt appalled, Hyatt gave me a personal webpage for guest to book directly under my block. I asked them why my guests are booking in at a rate higher than the BAR there response was "well when we get closer to a date we have to lower our rates based on our amount of inventory". While this is true it is also their job to manage their inventory and not undercut their blocks. When we first went to look at the Hyatt after we got engaged, the landscaping was beautiful and we thought this place is a gem! A year and a half later at our wedding outside of the Hyatt looked more like a Holiday Inn express- this place seems to be going down at a rapid rate. The Hyatt as our vendor causes us a lot of stress and this is unfortunate because it could be a premier venue.

**We wanted to pay for two suites that were attached to some of our families rooms. The Hyatt charged our card for the suites and they double dipped and charged our brother-law's card for the suites . How this happens I have no clue. But my when they called to talk about the billing discrepancies the Hyatt did offer us points for our troubles.

Park in the giant lot across the street for free vs $10ph in their lot.

We were there for a convention, the sound system had issues.
Hotel staff had it resolved in about 10mins.
Very efficient and prompt.

It was a good friendly positive experience how ever they screwed up on the food & a drink & also dinged me for a early charge bc I had to leave due to a emergency with family. I'll be calling their billing department to get my money back.[Update] The drink made me sick & the food gave me food poisoning, I have filed 2 complaints with Hyatts corporate office & with my bank. The hotel manager was not very nice to me when I called so I called the global line they wore nice & understanding with me.

Awesome hotel with an amazing view of the river. The front desk staff is always helpful and courteous. The entrance is extravagant and there's available valet parking available as soon as you reach the front door. The hotel has one of the best views of the river and the city of Wichita. I've been to the place few times and specially the river view patio is amazing for a sunset in the summer/fall. The drinks at the bar is amazing and the bartenders know what they are doing. The food from the restaurant is just ok and nothing special. But the view and the atmosphere over runs the "ok food" from my point of view. The hotel has it's own passage to the century ii conversation hall which makes the stay more convenient.
