The room is excellent, the service is ok. We had to go down to the lobby twice before they brought our luggage up to our room, but otherwise everything has been great. The room is quiet, good bathroom, great beds, overall I would stay again

Beautiful property, three impressive pools, spacious clean rooms with great views but most importantly, the people that work there make the difference. From
management down, thank you for making such a beautiful experience for our family. Hyatt always does. Thank you for creating a culture that makes for amazing family experiences.

Very big with lots of on property amenities. Stylish decor and a classy atmosphere. They have a shuttle to the mall nearby. If you aren't a guest then parking is steep but not outrageous. Overall, very nice hotel.

Great place, outside it looks amazing and very well maintained. The only issues that I have is that the rooms them selves aren't amazing and they charge you extra for everything, overnight parking, using the pools/resort.

I was very disappointed with our stay. We had picked this hotel for its high ratings but when we arrived the first view of the room was very disappointing. The popcorn ceiling had been repaired over the years from problems/wall removals, not a 4 star first overview. Once we arrived from dinner back to our room we turned on the A\C and watched some TV before going to bed, after about an hour of listening to this tractor/heavy equipment going outside we called down to the front desk and asked when it was going to stop, they said that they would check. We called back again and they said that they could find out where the noise was coming from. It was now 11:00 pm and we looked out our door and found out the the sound was our A/C unit that was making the noise, at this point it was late enough that we went to bed and tried to sleep with no air conditioning...very disappointing for a 4 star hotel.

My wife loves Newport Beach, and we ended up staying here. The bedroom and bathroom both were cozy and comfortable. This hotel is in a fabulous location, and is close to everything. Highly recommend it.

I had a good enough stay, the room overlooked the estuary with yachts and grassy sandunes. The trees and shrubs just outside my room was beautiful and the neat manicured lawns good enough for a game of golf. I'm not too sure though if it is meant for playing golf.

Stayed here a couple different times on business. Quick visits, and always wish I could've stayed longer. Pools look really nice and inviting. The rooms are large and nice. Breakfast was good, if pricy. Look forward to my next visit.

The location isn't really walk-able to the water or pier or really any other shops or restaurants. It's right under the airport flight path, so, somewhat noisy at times. The room I stayed in had a patio that didn't really overlook anything, in fact it overlooked the main path between the different buildings, so, no privacy. The room was big, it was clean, pretty minimalist, but not bad. The hotel bar is pretty darn expensive, $8 for a domestic beer, $10 bucks for a basic whiskey, but based on the area, you kinda expect everything to be expensive.

We spent $375 for what we thought would be a top class room and had a view of the parking lot. Overall we were disappointed in the hotel quality because it is run down. The towels where paper thin, elevators were in poor shape, parking is not convenient, food and drinks were overpriced. Will never go there again.

I stayed at this hotel for a company event. The rooms were clean and comfy (with a good air conditioner/heater). The bathroom had terrible lighting, though, and it was difficult to get ready in the morning because if it. An hour before checkout, the cleaning staff kept knocking and asking when we were leaving. It was nice, but I hope the company picks a different hotel next time.

Love the location! Walk across the street to the beach, stay at the pool on location. Either way you are at the ocean. Shopping and dining so close. Bobby is the best! That s what you call top management! And you can tell he sincerely means everything he does. Great guy.

Although Beach is in the name, this Hyatt property is a good distance from the ocean. Instead its pools make it a nice resort for a family get away or cosy couples weekend. Rooms are nicely updated and ours had a balcony that allowed us to turn off the AC and enjoy the ocean breeze. A shuttle offers a ride to the upscale Fashion island mall just 5 minutes away, but otherwise you'll need a car to get off the property. For corporate functions, it is a good host for off site events.

I stayed here for a conference. The Hyatt picked us up from the airport, which was nice. Check-in was somewhat slow, but they offered us cookies and water while we waited in line. When I got my room, I had to walk quite a distance (five minutes, maybe?) to my room. I was not happy with the room location (in the corner, doorway under a stairwell, not much to see out the back), so I walked back and asked for a different room. I had to pay a room upgrade fee to get a second-floor room with a small private balcony and view of the pool area, but they lowered the resort fee, which actually resulted in an overall $2/day savings, so I got a room with a better view for slightly less money :)

I did not have a car while there, so I ate a lot at the onsite restaurant. I usually called from my room and then walked to pick up my food, to avoid the delivery charge. The food was kind of expensive, but always good.

The conference setup was nice. We were tucked away in a corner with indoor conference room(s) and a covered outdoor area for vendor setup and for breaks. Food was always good, and included breakfast, lunch and snacks. I especially enjoyed the yogurt bar at breakfast :)

I didn't have a lot of free time while there, but was able to sit out by the pool on a couple of evenings. I enjoyed lying the hammock poolside and also getting in the hot tub.

I did not stay in the hotel! I went for a conference (day trip). The grounds are beautiful and the staff was pleasant and helpful. A little coffee bar inside the lobby, pretty standard. Well kept grounds.

In addition to daily racial discrimination by the front desk, the hotel charged me twice, that is, rather than pay for 2 nights, paid for 4. It's been a week and clearly I will not have my money back, as the attendants they hang up the phone as I speak.
I was literally robbed of more than $ 1,500!!!!!!!!
Not recommend, do not ruin your holiday or your getting this hotel. Unfortunate.

We have stayed here for many years. The upgrades they have made over the years have always been great! The only problem we have is how little and expensive the menu for in room and the restruant is.

Not up to the Hyatt Regency standards. We stayed there for three nights for a wedding while we were in town for a family wedding. On the plus side, the property is very close to great shopping, Balboa island, and other things you might want to do in the area. The front of the property is well-maintained and shows well. The biggest drawback was we were in the back Lido building. Quite frankly, they should just tear this building down. It looks like a 50's motel, and not even an upgraded one. The rooms inside had been updated, to their credit. If you are going to stay at this property, I would recommend requesting a room in one of the buildings towards the front.

The grounds are very nice, location is close to the beach so very good weather. Rooms are spacious and only a few levels. Having the option for self parking is nice as many 4* in the area are valet only. Parking is a bit of a walk from the rooms. The lobby bar beer selection was poorly stocked, my first 3 draft choices from the menu were not available leaving only domestics. My first two bottle choices were also not available so I had to settle for a pretty common beer when I was hoping to try something local or unique. They either need to stock better or simply their beer selection on the menu.

I've stayed here 3 weeks in 5 different rooms only one rooms heater worked. I hadto turn on my hairdryer to warm up the room. One hairdryer broke as I used it a spit a piece of plastic in my face. They gave my room to someone else. It took 45 minutes to check in twice after I worked 18 hour days. I had many moths in my room. I got bits on my arms. You'd think a $200+ room would be better than that. You have to pay for parking. No microwaves in rooms. The valets count their money out front in the open. They gave me rooms with people already in them and had me walk around with my things in hand escorting me through the lobby in front of everyone making it look like I'd been asked to leave. Just a Horrible Experience. I hated staying here.
