My job put us up here for a market meeting and we were completely blown away! Absolutely gorgeous and super professional staff. Plus its walking distance from bourbon and the smoothie king center which is always a plus!!

Beautiful modern hotel with great rooms and super friendly staff. On site dining options are excellent! Perfect views from the high floors and the decor and architecture is brilliant. A lot of these reviews seem exaggerated or from ultra picky or petty people. My experience was not indicative of the bad reviews. As a member with high status level I was upgraded to both a high floor and a large, spacious suite. I was also allowed to check in early to match my early flight arrival. I was also given a birthday amenity and it was heart warming that my hotel brand knew it was my birthday. I will always recommend Hyatt because they truly care about the guests.
Huge hotel that was very accommodating to all the super nerds in town for Mechacon Convention. Me and my kids had a blast and highly recommend it. A food and beverage supervisor named "Donny" went above and beyond to help find my son something simple as an order of cheese fries. Stellar service like this should be recognized by the Hyatt as the model for exemplary customer service and professionalism above all others. Thank you Hyatt Regency and a direct thank you to Donny in the Food and Beverage department.
Great experience. Clean . excellent fast check in and out. Wonderful breakfast bar. Hyatt made my Son and Grand children's and my visit to New Orleans just what we wanted and more. We will always look for Hyatt.
Nice hotel. The rooms are large, the beds are great, full american type. Staff good, breakfast Rich. To get there alone, you first come from the reception to the restaurant bar area on the third floor and then go to the room with another elevator.
Best hotel I ve stayed at in awhile. Felt like I wasn t cheap, when I stayed here. Went for Christmas for UAB bowl game. It was so beautiful, I felt like I was in the home alone movie. Would highly recommend staying if you need to go to the super dome.
A really really good Hyatt Hotel, no problem with the service. Very nice room with spectacular view! High professional and very friendly staff. Wonderful decoration for Christmas. Self parking for 25$/24h. Perfect stay!!!
Great hotel with a great location in New Orleans central business district. Plenty of food and drink options in and around the hotel, room was clean and comfortable, couldn't ask for more.
We were in the Elite Banquet Hall for a real estate conference, and the chairs were comfortable, the breakfast was delicious, and everything was great!
The location was fabulous, room, service, & parking were so fabulous that we stayed an extra night. The bed was a dream. The food at the hotel was a bit pricey(not unexpected), the drinks were strong and Troyanna was a great waitress. WHODAT!
Only positive thing for me at this hotel was the view of the Dome from this hotel (I'm a saints fan so that meant something to me). The rest was not my cup of tea!
I always find it hard to take name brand hotels seriously because they always suuuck. Lobby area is always so put together, but the most important place (Room), is usually an eyesore! I was here for business, price was $179/night and I was supposedly on one of the "VIP" floors of this hotel - 22nd floor out of 27 (rolling eyes).
Check-in was good, nothing extraordinary. Walked in my room to old musty smell! Looked at sheets to make sure it was clean(no issues here). Sheets felt like sand paper (whatever, I'll deal with it, I tell myself)! Then I go to the bathroom to see what I'm working with, annoyingly small, again (deal with it i tell myself).
Late night I go to take a shower, turn on the hot water and close the shower door to run the water for a little, the truth comes to light. Steam hits shower door, and all you can see is white scum on the door . I'm tired at this point its past 2am, I'm choosing to deal with it, smh as I tell myself don't let your body touch the shower, you'll be okay. Then I step into the shower, and it's got some slimy stuff on the tiles ewwww ! Too late now, I have to go for it. Water pressure sucked toooo.
Get out of the shower grab the phone and let front desk know that I need to speak with housekeeping manager in the AM. She calls me about 10am in the morning, I let her know situation, and advice, please have your people come clean this shower Asap! Apologies from her, "you shouldn't even have to ask, I'd inspect myself, and make sure it's done" she says. I was happy something would be done, off I go to my business meeting.
I get back to my room around 545ish, towels still on the floor of bathroom, I'm thinking uhmmm, maybe someone was here to clean, but left towels since I opted for the "go green" thingy. I change and off I go again to catch some fun. I get to my room about 4am, need to take a serious shower and hug that uncomfortable bed before next event lol....same shower routine as day 1, and there's the soap scum from day 1 !!! I'll go for it again and make another call before I pass out.
Same thing around 1150ish in the morning, talk with Asst. Housekeeping Mngr this time, he goes "so sorry sending someone up right away". I literally waited over an hour, housekeeping shows up with a shower curtain ... i had to laugh, told her I need bathroom cleaned, she says okay, but never comes back.
Friend texts for us to go to lunch about 130, Its about 1245pm now. I head to go freshen up and get ready, I hear knock on the door. Housekeeping is here to clean... I open the door and tell the lady i need 20 mins to get ready before she comes in to clean, she says ok! 30 -40 mins later, no lady. I open the door to make sure she's not waiting for me to let her in, she's not there. To sum this story up, no one ever showed up to clean the shower.
Of course, I get a survey, I tell them how my stay was....Asst. Housekeeping Mngr, same one I spoke to I think, emails me back and talks a bunch of Gibberish, and doesn't address them dropping the ball. This place was a disappointment!
Rooms were great, service was great. Things that make it a 4 instead of a 5 are the elevator designs, no easy stair access, and way outdated app you have to use to access chrome cast. Also, parking could be a tad cheaper.
Very nice hotel. Close to the dome. It would be a good place to stay if you were in for a game. The restuarant on the 2nd floor is very good with a wide range of food. The bar right outside the restaurant was nice too and the beds were comfortable. Enjoyed my time here. You could walk to the quarter but your feet will be killing ya by the time you get home... shimort uber.
The hotel seems nice but the front desk staff leaves a lot to be desired.
We paid an upgrade for a room with a view and you can see the "view" we have in the attached picture. We're looking at the other two towers, some HVAC ducting, and if you look really hard, you can see the bridge and city between them. It was only $5 per night for the upgrade but I don't even know its worth that.
We requested a king bed in advance and were given two queens and told they couldn't do anything.
The TV has Chromecast but it wasn't working. I called the front desk and was told to install their apps, which I already had, though they were saying to use the wrong app and wouldn't listen to me. I told them the problem was with the saved network name and password based on the message on the TV.
They connected me to tech support who transferred me a few times and then said that the hotel had to fix it in person. I explained they were the ones who connected me to them in the first place, and I had tried that and they wouldn't send someone. Tech support tried to call the front desk themselves but the front desk wouldn't answer.
I finally got the front desk to send someone from engineering up. When I told him the issue and said that Chrome sent a major update so they had to restart all of the devices. I don't know why they weren't proactive on that, and why they didn't go room to room doing that if its a known issue, or why the desk didn't know at least.
He pulled a panel from the desk, unplugged and re-plugged the device and it worked in a few seconds. Lots of hassle on my part for a simple fix.
We're here for a conference and I thought staying here would be more convenient than staying at an IHG property down the street. I think we may have been happier doing that and dealing with a short walk.
Prompt and friendly staff. Clean rooms and bathrooms. Usually end up here on a Hotwire discount price that makes it a great value for a Central Business District location.
The hotel is large. I like the restaurants, the decor, the size and setup of the rooms, the staff from the doormen to guest services. What I don't like is the elevator setup. I have friends staying on the 18th floor and I'm on the 27th floor. In order to get to them and them to me we have to go as far down as the 5th floor to get an elevator to the floor we want to get on. So inconsistent.
We visited the Hyatt before a saints game for food and drinks. They offered several amazing options which we took advantage of. With their convenient location near the Superdome, the Hyatt is a great option on game day celebrations
This is a great hotel if you are competing in the best damn race of new Orleans. Package pick up is in this hotel and they have shuttle busses taking you to and from the race
A pretty fine hotel right next to the Superdome. Huge place with atrium and a lot of other big -- I mean big -- spaces. Our room (745) was comfortable and clean. The bar and restaurant were buzzing on Friday and Saturday night. We opted to eat out. Perhaps the best feature: the exercise facility on the 32nd floor. Sweeping views of the Mississippi and LifeFitness treadmills and ellipticals
Upon check-in they told me no rooms where available even though I had a 4 month old reservation. They upsold me to a more expensive room increasing my stay. I later had that removed, but it was an ordeal. I stayed here for 5 nights and reported an issue with the lights in the bathroom dangling by wires and a toilet seat that broke off. They fixed the toilet seat, but the dangling light persisted the entire stay. My water glasses were never removed and given new ones and my bar glasses that I brought up to my room stayed for 4 days. The customer service from the desk is lacking.
Restaurant serves steak but can only do a medium rare- needs new chef. Rooms have smallest bathroom I ve seen in a luxury hotel. Elevators are controlled by electronics no buttons to push and you are constantly scurrying to find the elevator programmed for your floor. Not impressed at all
A nice place to be for a stay. I enjoyed everything that was there in this place. New Orleans Hyatt is closer to many other places that helped to easily commute and catch up with many things around.
Mr. Terrence John, Director of Outlets, just happened to be outside of the restaurant when I was leaving. I explained how unaccommodating the manager and wait staff were and he refunded my buffet charge (I didn t ask or expect a refund). I appreciated him listening and wanting to address the poor behavior of his staff. I didn t feel like a valued guest when I walked out of the restaurant, but Mr. John, exceeded my expectations. Thank you!
It's 34 degrees outside and waking up to 62 degrees in the room. No heat. Had to take a shower and the handle is broken off. Got the water on but could only get cold water. No bar soap at all for at least the sink.
The hotel staff and amenities were excellent. I stayed at the hotel while attending an academic conference being held there. My room was very nice, especially for the price. The location was close enough to the French quarter to walk there.
Me and my husband decided to celebrate our anniversary here. Since this pandemic the hotel experience is not the same. I feel that I'm not getting at least half the experience. Room service they offer sucks because the time they start offering at 4pm 12. I'm used to having room service in the morning for breakfast. The small bar area offer food that is horrible. The dispensers for soap and etc was empty , you would think after or before someone occupy the room they would make sure it's full. The parking is ridiculous because there is no free parking. For over a hundred dollars a night, you would think to have a special garage for your guest and better dinning services for room service. One thing I did like is that check out time is 12 noon.
BEWARE! Don't stay here, we've been at this property 3 hours and we have been treated so poorly with no concern from management whatsoever.
We originally had a reservation at the another Hyatt property but they got over booked and decided to move us to this property. Except this property only took us for half our reservation (1 night instead of 2 nights). So during a busy conference we had to tack on the task of moving all our luggage from our event and then now go to our original property all because these hotels kept blaming each other for the fault without making it right.
On top of that, we tried to go down to the restaurant and get dinner before 11 pm, the hostess showed me to the bar only to have the bartender tell me that last call was done and they couldn't help me I need to go to my room and order room service. Even though I was there well before their 11 pm closing.
I then call room service, which is 24/7 only to be told they are overwhelmed (gee I wonder why) and that it would be best to come back down to the restaurant and get my order myself.
This is the same restaurant I was just at by the way. So another 30 minutes later I'm back down there and get my order, come to my room and discover that I was charged a delivery fee of $4 for getting my own meal myself.
Good times.
In addition to all this calamity, I stayed up waiting on a phone call from a manager, only to have to call back down 3 times o 3 different people to finally get someone on the phone (they love transferring your call or saying they will return it but never do). I spoke with Valerie, who is the manager, and she basically said there was nothing she could do.
Yea, business travelers, families, dont stay here if you want a stress free vacation or business trip.
I will not be returning to this hotel, they dont understand customer service.
The hotel was clean, had ample convention space, plenty of well maintained bathrooms, fast elevators, and plenty of dinint options at a variety of prices. The main convention floor was kept uncomfortably cool, however, and the tablet-driven elevator buttons were difficult to use. Additionally, there are escalators to nowhere that can drop you on to the first floor, yet put you nowhere near an exit.
Stayed her for two nights last week. Nice hotel but a bit sprawled out. Good food and drink options. Reminder there is no direct access the champions square (I tried) but the walk around the corner is t too far.
I have never stayed here, but have been to several events here. It is a lovely place, very clean and beautiful. It is close to the heart of everything in New Orleans. Large concierge desk, great service.
Huge hotel! The room was a little small, and to order food you had to use a remote to order food. It took sometime and was not user friendly. The views from the gym are really good. The bars and restaurants offering everything we needed.
Wow omg amazing feat this place , gets tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city . In the best location possible , accessible to almost anything you may want to do , need a break from the madness stay there . Relax in a home away from , take a breather and start over tomorrow.
This used to be a pretty good hotel, but the expansion has left us with a difficult to navigate property. It's also kinda far walk to get to the quarter
