Great place. Internet is really slow. Most everything else is awesome.

Our room was infested with fleas which we discovered in the morning after noticing bites. We pulled back the bedding and sure enough there they were. We are covered in bites that itch to the point of madness. The staff weren t difficult when we reported the issue but they weren t friendly and accommodating either. No one came to the room to investigate, we had to wait for a manager to call us after we called the front desk. Initially they offered us a free night in the form of points. No thank you! I asked for a refund, which they agreed to but only for 1 of the 2 rooms we booked. Then I had to explain that even though we only saw fleas in the one room, we were all exposed to them AND run the risk of bringing them home with us. At this point they agreed to a full refund. While we are very grateful it wasn t bedbugs this experience still pretty much ruined our trip.

The grounds were very beautiful, and the golf course behind the rooms was fun to watch. The pool and hot tub was clean looking, though busy. The rooms are quite nice, however the building we stayed in was very noisy; people walking above us sounded as if they were stomping and anyone going down our hallway made the room vibrate. The staff were cordial and professional.

A clean golf course resort & nice restaurants onsite, lot of rooms & parking spots ( with fees) & very courteous service by hotel staff! Restaurants are not fully functional due to COVID restrictions but offer basic food needs and drinks. You can rent bikes and take a quick stroll thru the Monterey downtown which is not more than 3 miles away! Hotel has pool which one needs to book prior to enter. They are very particular about no of people entering the pool. There s gazebo, few ping pong tables, tennis courts & a basketball court as well! So all in all many activities inside the resorts! Gold course is not open currently. There s live band every evening.. if you get a golf course view room then you can see the band performance from your room patio! Else there will be many chairs as well! So, it is a great resort & expensive but worth extra $$. Rooms are clean & on demand room service! Our bathroom door didn t have a lock ( not sure if that s for other rooms as well) & bit noisy .. we could hear steps as well as people around.

The room was spacious and comfortable and the bed was comfy, but not that special of a hotel, especially with the resort fee added to the rate.

Nice size room and large closet space. Amenities are modern and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel is 2 miles from the wharf and sits on the edge of a golf course

Rooms are dated, walls paper thin, not well maintained and the staff are easily overwhelmed by the conferences that seem to be its main draw and certainly not at the level you d expect for the price they charge. Note that despite the name there is no spa anymore here - they got rid of it 6 months ago apparently.

Perfect location to the Aquarium, Cannery Row, Downtown. Loved the lounge, live music, restaurant, & tasty buffets! We went to Knuckles Lounge & loved the drinks & menu! Starbucks in the morning, fire pit by night!! Something for everyone! Updated room, lovely grounds- old school California!! Played a round of golf on the course- lovely!!

It was ok. The walls are thin enough to here the drawers close in the next room.

Prices are okay until you get to the ridiculous amount of surcharges. Rooms are nice and updated. There are a few pools and spas to access on the property. The lobby/ bar is very nice. I would go again!

Great room and location. Bed was a bit stiff but shower was impressive with adjustable height for taller customers such as myself.

Never been there before but i heard food was good the employees are wonderful and the rooms are super clean but a little pricey

The hotel has a great view of the golf course and the fire pits are great to sit around at the end of the day to unwind. The only real complaint is that their beds really aren't all that good.

I stay here once or twice a year. Minus 1 star because the bathroom doors always suck and some buildings don't have an elevator.

The rooms were good but somehow did not have a modern feel. There was an interesting air conditioning unit in the room. Other than that service was good. There is free shuttle service from the Monterey regional airport.

This place is weird. It's an immense hotel property with numerous pools (finding your way can be problematic) and lovely rooms (get one with a balcony, because the ac units are super retro and a little weird). Staff is polite, especially if you get lost (I did, frequently).
Personally I prefer something more modern and centrally located, like the Clement down by the aquarium, but this worked when The Clement was not available.

Very different from your typical hotel. Laid back environment on the golf course. Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Only strange thing was the A/C unit in the room, was a standalone and caused the breaker to pop in our room when the hair dryer was being used at the same time.

It's good. Friendly and clean but the walls are thin and the water pressure was weak in the shower. Staff is helpful and it's a decent location but for what we got I felt we over paid

The room was a 2 bed room, which was very nice and everything was neat and in order. I was a little confused with the shower since the style only had glass covering the section with the showerhead, but the back end was open. Personally not a fan since water could easily get out onto the floor. Also not a fan of the building layout, but again not a big deal. Parking would be my biggest gripe, nothing can be really be done but I ended up having to park in the additional lot multiple times because of overflow.

A tad bit disappointed. I am a discoverist & my wife an explorist ( Hyatt membership category) but experience is below par with our previous stay at Hyatt. The rooms are smaller than Hyatt place. This place looks like a 2/3 star property.

Hyatt Regency is an above average hotel. Parts of it needs some renovation but otherwise it's an okay place to stay if you're in the area. It's not a far drive to Cannery Row and 17 mile drive. Place can get loud at night with people coming in and out of the hallways. The walls are kinda of thin. Just get a room away from the elevator and in the corner to avoid the noise.

I cancel after they told me it's 20$ for the parking.

Never forget this place. Took my wife there for her birthday. We woke up early and had the entire beach to ourselves. They even blessed us with a free breakfast and that food was GOOD!!! Best hotel stay I've ever had.

I was attending a professional conference held by Hospice Giving Foundation. The conference room was spacious, sound system excellent. Lunch was included, the food was good, not great (salad), but the service was superb. Wait staff to be commended** for attentiveness and sensitivity to the ongoing presentation. Parking was ample and as I got there early, very close. Valet also available. Would highly recommend for conference location. As I am a local, did not take advantage of overnight accommodations.

Good location, good room and amenities, and fantastic breakfast definitely win a 5-star review for the hotel. We had so much fun and felt revitalized and the stay in Hyatt Monterey was totally worth the price.

Knuckles was great tons of TVs, cold beer, and free popcorn what could be better for sports!!

1st time visitor here. Great place. Absolutely recommend. Clean and lots to do. Reasonably priced. Definitely would go back

We stayed here for a weekend and had a fairly comfortable time. A big positive is the close proximity to Monterey and Caramel at ~10 minutes driving distance. As with most Hyatt hotels, the staff is very friendly and the rooms are well-maintained and clean. A huge call-out to the presence of a jazz bar within the hotel along with a cafe, a Starbucks joint and a restaurant. The jazz bar is top-notch and is open till late in the night [~ 1 am].

No toothpaste. Refrigerator was very noisy. No room service!

We were not impressed with this hotel. The "patio" room had a couple of cheap chairs outside the sliding door sitting on a small strip of rock. No impressive landscaping to enjoy. The stand-alone in-room air conditioner was loud with fan set on high and not cool enough if set on low. Two washcloths per room didn't seem like a high end hotel with a spa. The internet was very slow unless you purchased an upgrade. The clerk at the checkout was not able to retrieve or print our flight boarding passes. We had it on our cell phone and forwarded it to the clerk and still no luck. When asked about a business center we could use to print our boarding passes, we were told it was not good because it printed black lines down the sides and didn't offer to tell us where the business center was for us to at least try. We wasted nearly 45 minutes for nothing.
Very little good I can say about this hotel. Of all the hotels we stayed in during our vacation, this was the worst. I apparently over-estimated how upscale a Hyatt Regency was but will remember in the future.

Bed was very comfortable. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. The location was perfect, not in the middle of the noise, but not to far away. The other guests were snobs though.

It is getting a little tired and there are not the services that I have come to expect from an expensive hotel not to mention that they no longer provide a free breakfast as the did two years ago.

Great place. Everyone was friendly and the drinks were delicious. Rooms were well put together and the staff was helpful.

The hotel is very nice. The outside of the hotel has a very cool 50s vibe, the building is wood siding and is mostly 2 story's. The inside is very modern and clean. Staff is great. Would stay here again.

This place is EXTREMELY overpriced! With that being said, I would assume everything would be top of the line, sadly It s not. The staff is amazing,great people all around, no problem there. The rooms are nice but I ve had way nicer for same or half of the price of these, trust me I travel a lot and stay in many rooms . I m staying here for a few weeks(so I pretty much live here for now.) no free breakfast, and the breakfast they do have is way over priced. I asked for a microwave and after what seemed like pulling teeth, I got one that takes twice as long to cook anything, it s all beat up looking and the light inside flickers like it s going to blow up on me. Luckily for me, my company is payin the tab for this because I personally would never pay these large amounts of money to literally just rest my head. The embassy suites is right down the street, and they offer WAY more for same price I m sure(just an FYI).
Also, the parking spaces are tiny, so if you drive a fiat or a Prius you ll be fine, otherwise anything bigger you can count on getting your car dinged by other cars. I DO NOT recommend this hotel at all. If you don t believe me, spend all that money and find out for yourself

Its a nice resort. Not sure why they charge $20 a night for parking. Especially after having to pay for resort fees. It's a dated resort that needs upgrades. We enjoyed our stay so I gave 3 stars but Ive stayed at less expensive hotels that were nicer and more comfortable.

Though away from aquyrium the food is excellent. Room service satisfactory

The hotel is very well located and the service is very good. The rooms are very spacious and well placed. It is also appreciated that the parking does not incur an additional cost.

The Hyatt at Monterey is a wonderful hotel with very nice rooms and service, in addition, it provides some nice extras like a great restaurant and golf course. Overall, four out of five stars!

This is another great hotel in Monterey. Parking can be a bit tight but that's expected when the season is on.
Staff was cool, there is onsite restaurants and live music on weekends. Place can get pretty lively.

Beautiful place, the vegetation is exuberant, the attention excellent, the rooms also excellent. The views are very nice, the golf course is just behind the hotel

The rooms are basic, but nice. Some rooms are by freeway, so they can be noisy. Hyatt provides doorstep pad to block the noise. There are two swimming pools with spa and outdoor fireplaces.

The facilities are cosmetically very nice, though the buildings are old and the walls are thin (you can hear much of what happens around you). The restaurant on-site is mediocre and overpriced.

When you get somewhere at 10pm, it sucks to be told your room is on the 3rd floor of a building without an elevator, good luck getting your bags up there, by the way there is no more parking. Took over one hour to get situated. Even a motel 6 will do better than that. Even if everything else is perfect, it would be wrong to say this place is anything better than average.

The rooms are big and updated. The pool is nice, and there's several activities next to the pool like ping pong and shuffle board that are great to have when spending the day at the pool. Very nice lobby and I really appreciated the snack/coffee shop next to the lobby bar. Tons of items to choose from and Starbucks.

One of the better hotels in Monterey, especially for golfers and tennis players. Use of tennis courts is free of charge to hotel guests. Spacious rooms. Bad bathroom sink design as it is installed on top of the bathroom counter and therefore takes too much counter space.

went in for breakfast. service was average. had gone for the buffet. chicken sausage was really good, eggs a little runny. great view.

Very nice especially for price! Room was above expectation. Ate at the sports bar, food was good drinks were good but it was very expensive for what it was.

Well the bed was comfortable, the bathroom door didnt work, the breaker blew when we tried to blowdry our hair and have air on too....less than impressed.

Hotel is an older property but is in the middle of a renovation. I did have a newly remodeled room
and it was nice - however the shower is super weird - there is absolutely no way to turn on the shower without getting completely wet - just an odd design.
While the location and remodeled rooms are fine the oddest part is that even during a major conference- the hotel has few dining options open. Getting coffee from the cafe was totally hit and miss with more emphasis on miss. At night the only dining option was the lounge /bar area as all restaurants were closed - again - this was during a major conference so it made staying there inconvenient and forced you to leave the property

Was here for a wedding reception. The atmosphere was great and the reception hall was spacious and allowed for hanging out both inside and outside.

It was a good hotel. Our room was big and clean. The staff was friendly, pool and spa in very good condition, fitness center also. Can not say about golf cause I did not play. Starbucks coffee machine in your room was also awesome. Guests were the "nice" ones. You could see that this hotel is a bit more pricey. Would definitely book there again.

This hotel is in a good location and has plenty to do. The rooms are pretty nice and there is nothing really bad I can say about this hotel except that it is huge. In order to go to one of the pools or the lobby, you may have to walk quite a bit. Otherwise, it's a great hotel with great service!

I had trouble figuring out exactly which rating to give. I was tempted to just give 2 stars. The lobby is beautiful and the service there was great. The rooms however, are terrible. They are old and noise gets through the walls easily. We heard people walking above us, and voices were audible from all sides. The air conditioning is a physical floor unit. It was significantly cheaper than the other hotels in the area, so I guess you get what you pay for.

The staff is really nice. But the rooms are a little smelly. We had to open the windows and buy a room deodorant because it smelled really bad. The bed sheets weren't clean or at least not 2 of them. They had hairs and were smelly as well.

I'm in a room where between 10pm and 11pm we heard a crew of workmen making repairs to the room above us - I assume the air-conditioning. The noise was loud enough to wake up everyone in our room, including our 2 year old, and it continued for a full hour. No excuses.

I just stayed because I got a promotion. Excellent hotel. But it's a SPA, a golf course ...
