I was primarily there for a pageant in one of the meeting rooms. The meeting room was nice, and the facilities were nice as well. Unfortunately, there was construction taking place, and workers were using jackhammers on the floor above the room we were in! When the pageant director asked them to stop they did, but later in the day there was still construction taking place that was a bit bothersome. Not much you can do about that, the hotel was renovating certain sections.

I had a handicap accessible room on the 16th floor to accommodate my parents. It has a large seating area, great beds, a beautiful view and ambience. The room service for breakfast was beyond outstanding!

Employees are very confused about their jobs are. One of the employees argue with wedding supplier about moving Ice stage. He was spoke very loudly and very rudely and refuse to move this package. Also it was about 20 people working on that wake with no bathrooms available to use. Even though some of the guests sitting in the lobby had no access to bathrooms this is unacceptable what's up with you how are you Hotel if you never been treated like this before. Very very disappointed

This rating isn't specifically for an experience I had at the Hyatt, but a customer service experience with Sales Manager, Jessica Cooper.
Sometimes, it's the small things that really make an impact.
I booked a block at the Hyatt Regency Louisville for my wedding in July, and had been working with Jessica coordinating it--we had only corresponded one or two times, so I'm sure my reservation was not top of mind for either of us.
I received an e-mail from her, letting me know that she would be relocating for another job opportunity, and she gave me all the resources I would need in order to stay connected and make sure that this reservation wouldn't fall through the cracks.
For someone who I'm sure has tons of clients, it was so nice to have her reach out and proactively let me know about the change instead of leaving without a word and then having me scramble to find the right person who would be in charge of handling my reservation when the time came.
Such a small thing, and I'm sure everything would have worked out fine if she had left without closing the circle with me, but it left such a great impression that she took the time to reach out.

The best way to tell if a hotel is good is by the design on the carpet. If the design is some kind of nautical motif like a wave or fish beast then it's probably a bad hotel. If it's just some regal or floral design then it's a wild card. This Hyatt has a kind of abstract line thing going on with earth tones. I give 5/5.

I was there to play for college auditions. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the conference rooms are always nice. Breakfast catering, as always, was delicious. I was disappointed that despite having had a grand piano to play on for the past several years, this time I had a digital keyboard. Also, although I checked all the light switches, which were all at the top, a good portion of the lights remained off and thus a good portion of the room remained dark, so the keyboard had to be moved to give me enough light to see the music. The room was apparently not set up the way they wanted, and the hotel staff helpfully offered to rearrange, but the offer came after the college admissions person had already taken care of stacking extra chairs. I did appreciate the hotel staff providing an extension cord so that the keyboard could be moved closer to the light.

The Hyatt is akwyss great to Derbycon goers. The bar is open all day (at least, for our event) and staff is welcoming and helpful. We've continued to use it as a meeting grounds, even though we actually moved our event to a larger location.

Left the review below on TripAdvisor. The Hyatt responded they felt they responded appropriately. I am sorry, moving a reservation made 3 months ahead of time without consultation is not acting responsibility. If you are part of group/block at the Hyatt Regency Louisville beware of the review below.

Had a business conference downtown Louisville late March/early April. Made reservations at the Hyatt Regency in mid-January. One week before departure, get an email from the Hyatt Regency welcoming me to Louisville and informing me that my reservation had been moved to a hotel three blocks from the convention center. I was not asked about relocating. I simply received an email saying my reservation had been moved. When I contacted the Senior Sales Associate all I got was 'we over-booked, sorry for the inconvenience." It is darn more than inconvenience. I can no longer walk across the street to the conference. Come and go as I please. Not have to worry about the weather. No longer close to colleagues at the Marriott. It is an inconvenience to the Hyatt., It is a PITA to me. The Hyatt paid the first night's fee at the new hotel but that does not help me. I would strongly discourage groups from using block rooms at the Hyatt. The Hyatt did not honor the room block with the individual booking over 3 months in advance.

Great space, excellent staff, perfect location! Had a few minor issues in our stay that staff immediately resolved. Can walk to anywhere without it feeling like you are far away from great restaurants and activities. Plan on staying here again next year!

So grateful for Jim Cockrum and the Team having the Hyatt host the CESIII conference.

The facilities, staff, and administration exceeded our every expectation for this event. On several occasions we were accorded exemplary consideration in our concerns - from additional elevators during conference "rush hour" to extended checkout, and much more. Senior staff were immediately accessible for all requests and concerns, as well as the abundant, growing complements for their service.

If you are going to be in Louisville, stay no place but at the Hyatt Regency!

The hotel is tastefully done, however, there is a lot of noise pollution in the rooms as a result of the building design (this was experienced by anyone I asked at my conference). The conference food was also a consensus among my colleagues-terrible! The staff is pleasant and the meeting rooms are adequate. The location is really the competitive advantage for this property. Overall, an average experience.

So apparently this 4-star hotel doesn't have any microwaves in their rooms. I spent $190 on a room that doesn't have a microwave. I would like to know what constitutes a hotel to have four stars when a Motel 6 has microwaves in every room.

Experience was very solid. Didn t appreciate arriving and asking to book a room for the night and the front desk telling me a price $50 over what online stated. Book on my phone within 30 seconds and it was a seem less experience. Was put on the 17th floor with a great view and thought the rooms were very nice and appreciated the large flat screens in the room. Would definitely book again!

We stay here every time we are in Louisville. The service is always friendly and the rooms are always clean. We didn't pick the hotel for the pool - definitely don't expect too much if you are wanting to relax by it. Other than that, it's a great hotel and very accommodating.

I drove 7 hours to get there because I read that it was attached to/right next to the Yum Center where the concert was at. Finding the place was really hard simply for the fact that the sign is really tiny. Go to Google street view so you know what it looks like. I drove past it several times till I saw it. And there is no Hyatt sign bigger than pc of paper except on top of building. They were really great though otherwise. Price just killed me it was $249 for a room with a claim of two double beds but looks like just extra-large twins. I can't blame the hotel for the price. That's Expedia. They were really accommodating. I couldn't really get directions to the Yum center via the catwalk. I had left my phone charger in my car and I called the valet service and they did go get it for me. They do offer to let you borrow one as a service but didn't have Android. We were just kind of in and out. The beds were very comfortable & clean. The bathroom was small but that was really not a problem. I like the counter space in the room. We didn't have a very good view. It was just buildings and construction. She did ask me where I wanted to be so I guess that was kind of my fault. I just thought maybe she might give me something better than the that. I know this is sounding bad I just wanted you to get a clear idea. Would I book again? Sure for cheaper price. How likely am I to go to concert in Louisville again? Not very. That's what we have to do when you live in a fly over state. One last thing. Room service was just muffins and croissants and pot coffee. I couldn't deal with the stuff in the room. Not enough sugar. It was really good. Worth it to me to pay 22% plus $3 delivery. Their Wi-Fi is free but you have to pay for phone calls a dollar per local call.

This hotel is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed at. The room was very spacious and modern sleek dark aesthetic that I really enjoyed. The flat-screen TV in the room was one of the largest I have seen in person, it must have been at least a 60 or 70 inch one. The showers were amazing and the beds were very comfy. Of the 3 high end hotels I stayed at during this week this is the only hotel that had a safe in the room and it had a mini-fridge which the other hotels also did not have. The front desk staff are amazing and they were able to check us in at 3 am at a last minute reservation and then allowed us to have a late check out at 12:30. The location of the hotel is near all the downtown attractions, easy to park in a garage and overall one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Louisville.

The rooms are really nice and the hotel was very clean and everyone was polite. It is close to a lot of restaurants and cool attractions. I wasn't blown away, but everything was good. I generally don't stay at higher priced hotels, and felt it wasn't worth paying more for fewer amenities (smaller fridge, no microwave, no continental breakfast, no free coffee in the lobby, etc). If you want a nice hotel with a really nice room, this place is great. I just didn't feel as "at home" like I have at other places.

The bathroom contained black mold on the ceiling and the grout was stained from years of age. The wallpaper was peeling. The $50 breakfast was obviously frozen and was gross. Totally disappointed for a Hyatt.

Arrived for a weekend conference late on Friday night to find out that they had overbooked and that they had no rooms left. So they put me across the street at the Marriott for the first night for free (I didn't pay at all for that night) , then I checked into the Hyatt the next afternoon. That night, they delivered a cheese plate to our room as an apology. The room itself was nice, modern looking, and comfortable, and honestly, I liked it better than the Marriott that normally runs at twice the cost.

Our stay here was fantastic! The staff was great, the hotel was clean, and it's in a great location with so many restaurants around. If I come back to Louisville again, this place will more than likely be my go-to hotel.

Perfect location between the convention center and 4th street live. We parked our car at arrival and never felt the need to take it back out. Only $10 for overnight parking! Lots of restaurants within walking distance.
Hotel itself is clean and modern. My husband enjoyed the HUGE tv in the room and I liked the decor.

I am here for a conference, which is really convenient because the hotel is next door to the convention center. The room was clean when I got here and the staff has been great. The food from their restaurant, Sway, is also pretty good. I ve eaten both from room service and in the restaurant and have had good experiences with both - although, I ll say my breakfast from room service was more lukewarm when I got it. It was good, but not hot. It took them forever to get my food out both times I went to the restaurant.

The major issue I have is with their HVAC system. The fan is super loud on the heater (actually woke me up this AM when I kicked on again), and it heats up the room super slowly... and not even to the temperature I selected in the thermostat. I have had to turn the temperature up to 80 to get it to feel ~75 or so. (Note: It s like 42 degrees outside now.) Mind you, the thermostat is digital and does not have designated AC/heat functions. Instead, you just select a temp. I wouldn t care that much about getting the room super warm under most circumstances (I keep the temp at my home at about 75 in the winter), but their blankets are not heavy enough to keep me warm and the room so cold.

On a brighter note, I can t say more positive things about the staff and amenities. I needed a microwave and called down to find out if there is a communal one and they sent one to my room! They forgot to pick up my breakfast order overnight and when I called them about it, they sent the food right up. Every interaction has been pleasant, and I d stay here again if ever in Louisville, I d just do it over the summer months when having thin blankets will be fine.
