Location is in the heart of downtown denver, near the 16th mall st. The fitness center is amazing for a hotel; dumbells up to 50lbs, bars up to 100 lbs, pull up bars. They have everything but a rack cage. Staff was friendly too.

The overall hotel was very nice and built in a great location. This hotel has a really nice gym that has lots of different workout machines. Next, the rooms are clean and spacious. Rooms come with a mini fridge for you to put food and drinks in. Lastly, the staff is really friendly and helpful.

Stayed in the Colorado king suite. Room was very nice, faced out toward the city, but with rooftop below. Staff were all very kind and accommodating, and made sure to make our night as special as they could. Peaks lounge bar provided incredible city views and a fun, classy atmosphere.

Everyone I encountered was warm and friendly. They even dress the part. For my group they had formal seating and dressed in business attire. After we left, they replaced the furniture with more fun seating and dressed in ski vests and were casual. Excellent location next to the convention center. I had experienced numerous issues with the room, which they were quick to fix.

Despite this being a beautiful hotel, I question t...

Despite this being a beautiful hotel, I question their unethical advertising and booking practices. In the fall of 2013, I was setting up a romantic night in downtown as a surprise for my boyfriend. I went on Hyatt's website and booked a room with a KING bed (no place anywhere on the site to include double occupancy) and if they had a room available with a view, that would be great too, but not mandatory. I received a generic confirmation. I called a few days ahead of our check in date to see if I was able to secure a room with a view. The customer service rep indicated I have gotten one with a view of the Rocky Mountains and by the way, did you know there's a discount if you're a Costco member? I said I was and got the discount. I receive another confirmation, but it indicated that my room is two double beds and not a KING bed room. So I call back Hyatt again and ask them to change back my room to one with a KING bed, which is what I originally ordered via online. So the CS rep changes the room back to a KING room. Finally, it's all set. NOT!

So we arrive to Hyatt after getting a couple's massage and are very relaxed and ready to get up to our room to chill. I go to the registration desk to check in and the guy behind the desk clicks a few computer buttons, and then says something like - "Okay, Ms. P___, your room with two double beds is ready." WTF? I could feel my blood boil as he said "two double beds." Then I told him the history with booking online and calling a few times and he said, "I'm sorry, but we have no more rooms with KING beds left." I continue to argue my point and finally he magically finds a room for us with a KING bed, but by now I've lost that relaxing feeling I paid dearly for at the spa. A Hyatt employee also lied directly to my face.

Fast forward the next day, the manager does try and compensate us and did by covering our night (which I had to put my foot down about). When I got home, I completed an online survey indicating I was not pleased and would have rather paid and gotten what I wanted, than get a free room with the accompanying stress. Another manager contacts me offering another free night. I refused it saying that until they change their deceitful booking practices, I won't be back to their hotel...and I haven't. Soon, we'll be staying at the Sheraton. Fortunately, my boyfriend booked that one!

So, caveat emptor: The room type (king, two double beds, etc.) you book online is NOT guaranteed, despite appearances online that it is. And...the employees at this hotel will lie directly to your face to keep maintain this deceitful practice.

Change your false advertising, Hyatt!

We requested hypoallergenic room, no fabric softener, they forgot and put it on our bed anyways. Causing me to have an allergic reaction. Not only that but it was loud in and outside of the hotel. Don't expect much from your room either. Paper sheets, small bathroom, scary elevator.

After a long month of dealing with an ailing father, we canceled our "big" anniversary trip to Napa and decided to stay at the Hyatt Convention Center in Denver. It was our 10 year anniversary. I purchased the Romance package and here's what I got:

1. A burned out light bulb in the bathroom.
2. A dirty, mildew shower liner.
3. A romance package that wan anything but: when we order the champagne for 7:00, I wasn't told that we needed to be there. While I understand the rule, someone should have told us in advance.
4. No VIP Turn Down service, which was included.

6. There was no "Do not disturb" sign to put on the door. So at 9:00 am there was a knock at the door from housekeeping. Ridiculous!
7. We had breakfast. And when we went to check out, the breakfast was on our bill. If we weren't paying attention, we would have been charged.

Now, the check out lady did give us free valet.

This was our 10 year anniversary and of all the hotels in Denver we stayed with you. I have to say this is the last time I EVER stay at a Hyatt. I cannot get my anniversary back.

Following the visit, I received an email from the Assistant manager - it was a weak attempt at making us feel better. For example, had she look at my reservation, she would have read that we live in Golden (15 minutes from downtown) and I wouldn't have received the following sentence: Should your travels bring you back to Denver, we hope to have the honor of serving you again.

There are far nicer hotels at $250/night that I can spend my money on.

This is NOT what I expected from a Hyatt.

Thank you for nothing - well, a terrible anniversary evening.

Attended the 1940s Ball and stayed overnight. Guest services were friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable, but the refrigerator was unplugged and the console in which it sets, was difficult to move which made it very hard to access the outlet. Aside from that small inconvenience, the stay was very enjoyable.

Rooms are spacious. There is a pool and gym too. However, the first thing I want after a long journey is a glass of water, but the bottled water in the room costs a few dollars. Most of the other hotels I've stayed in have complementary water greeting me as I walked into the room. This isn't the most welcoming.

When we checked in to our room we saw an ant crawling on our bed. The manager of housekeeping came up and removed the ant. They didn't replace the sheets and the front desk manager wouldn't discount our room. They offered a small voucher for the hotel which felt like an insult. I was extremely upset with the customer service here. I will never recommend this place to anyone and obviously I will never do business with them again.

Great hotel good location. You can walk to the convention center. Hotel has a restaurant which we found was very good a little on the pricey side. Walking distance to a number of specialized restaurants. About a 45 minute drive to the airport.

Had lunch at the Altitude restaurant before going to ComicCon. Ordered at the worst possible time - between breakfast and the start of the lunch buffet. Food was good, but service was horrendous. More than ten minutes to be greeted, then didn't get either ordered drink until AFTER my entree arrived.
