A Stingy & Mean Food & Beverage Staff- Hyatt Denver Convention Center -

An unpleasant "large group" experience approximately April of 2017 ...

I'm sad -- because I've experienced other wonderful conferences at this location. Are this Hyatt's "better days," -- history...?

I've had several wonderful conference experiences at Hyatt Regencies -around the USA - i.e.) notably NYC, & Orlando --

Mainly, too many F & B staff did not care about the comfort of our very large group; Very sad -- but, I see numerous other negative experiences shown here in their ratings.

Hyatt staff let food & beverages & service supplies disappear -- far too frequently.... Every meal we scheduled there -- they let food menu items "run low, & run out" --- not just on a few people, but on large #'s of people...

The first day -- the last 50 % of people to eat -- had to wait on plates, napkins & service utensils -- while the last 33 % of our sizable group -- had 50 % of the food menu items missing. One meal, the last 50 % of the group was down to 1 entree selection of burnt, fatty chicken.

When I asked ; attempting to reach out to a Hyatt Manager, in good faith -their female F & B manager was mean & defensive ; instead of being a responsive problem-solver. I can definitely name names here -- but, Hyatt Managers make it pretty clear ; they don't even want to know ....

One the "mgmt employees who wore a suit jacket" -- became very argumentative & accusatory to me-- saying by asking for the add'l plates, napkins & service items (that our conference attendees clearly needed) -- we were trying to feed scores of people who had not paid for the conference...! We'd verified repeatedly all day long-- & again in the food lines ; every attendee had a conference badge -- 100 % of the time...

I hope this Hyatt will look for a different food & beverage manager -- as this one made it clear -- she wanted NO FEEDBACK FROM ANYONE, & was not interested in making the conference a positive experience for anyone ---

Her staff definitely spread her disdain for Hyatt conference customers....
I'm so sad --- that I can definitely see similar negative treatments expressed by other similarly unhappy Hyatt customers here on THIS location's Google reviews....

Several weeks before this unhappy conference experience, I was an attendee at Hilton's Inverness Conference facility in the Denver Tech Center. Hospitality overflowed during our 2 day conference (there). I don't ask for the world ; but , you can feel the hospitality ... when staff truly care about their clients, .... they smile frequently... they try to keep basic comforts replenished; like hot water, main entree foods; agreed upon snack foods....coffee, etc... plus keeping plates & service items available . Does this Hyatt have any "common sense," re: amount of space they have per table, vs. trying to unreasonably squeeze 12 people into tables that actually fit ~ 8 to 9 comfortably....?

Conversely -- last summer , we were part of a very large group celebrating at The Hyatt Denver Tech Conference Center all afternoon & evening honoring a group of recent grads & their Univ professors / & mentors.... Again,.... the food & beverage hospitality AT THAT HYATT LOCATION -- were wonderful. Typical Hyatt / & Hilton considerations were given to replenishing supplies of every variety -- the F & B staff did not become "accusatory to the clients" -- for their own short-comings --

There really should be no reason - for a conference experience to go the way I've described above ..... just very, very sad ...

The location is great. We were 3 ppl with 2 double beds and the room was pretty spacious. They also helped us out by taking care of our baggage after check out.

Check out the Peaks Lounge on the 27th floor. Great view of the city at night, and the mountains during the day.

Upon arrival to room discovered that the sink was clogged and the toilet was broke. Service at the very expensive bar was deplorable as I had to bust my own table and was provided with a bus pan and cloth to do so. One of the waitresses in the bar was rude and mean and stated that we don't have anybody to help you. The parking was awful and a trap that was obviously set up as a money grab. they wouldn't provide us a luggage rack in the morning to take our bags down to the valet parking which was horribly expensive and the people are rude. they insisted that they had to help us out with our luggage which again was a setup for another money grab. The breakfast was horrible and void of meet??? Who does that? the only reason I gave the review to stars because the view was incredible and the building was clean.

Was yelled at by EXTREMELY rude staff after they destroyed thousands of dollars of equipment. and kept doing so for the remainder or the show. They said it was no big deal. They must pay their illegal aliens very well for it not to matter. Their supervisor didnt seem to care either. Plenty of good options in Denver. You don't need to have your event here.

The peak lounge was a very nice place to have drinks with the family overlooking the city.

The staff was friendly, its nice but not worth the price for a room. The rooms were clean but lame lol and the pool was for exercise purposes only really and the water tasted like ocean water. Kids were bummed about it, but the hot tub was great. Good location.

I used the parking here for a skin care service at the Aveda College. It was very full. You would most likely find parking in the last level. When I went to the parking cashier window the young lady was a pleasure to speak with. She was polite and fast.

The Hyatt Regency Denver is a nicely appointed hotel that is right next door to the Denver Colorado Convention Center and what seems like the heart of downtown Denver. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The noise level is low. I would recommend.

Cannot beat the close proximity to the convention center - it's right across the street! Easy walking distance to eateries.

Beautiful room with a great view of the city and mountains, enjoyed my two night stay.

This is a very nice hotel. Beautiful, and in great proximity to the convention center. The bar and lobby get busy on Saturday nights, but would definitely recommend to anyone coming to a convention, for a staycation, or just those visiting Denver!

Able to book a room just a few days in advance for a Saturday night. Nice rooms, great views, and friendly staff.

Great location downtown. Very clean. Staff very professional and courteous. Rooms are very spacious and quiet. Bar on the 27th floor great place for libations in the evening.

The hotel was clean, staff was pleasant, rooms have all expected accommodations, conference rooms av worked with good climate control. Perfect place to hold a convention or simply to take the family for a visit to Denver. Close to the train system for easy transportation around the city.

Great downtown Denver hotel! Convenient to 16th Street (pedestrian-only with lots of shops and restaurants). Very modern (built in 2005). Nice rooms and amazing views. Fitness center is one of the best I have seen at a hotel. The main restaurant, Former Saint on the lobby level, provides excellent food and service, albeit at higher-end hotel restaurant prices.

Good atmosphere. Pandemic rules in effect. Parking a bit high at $45. Enjoyed a quite night... However no room service. Id use them again..

It was very nice hotel we were just one block awY from the sixteenth Street Mall it was awesome place to stay n visit

Asked for a room with big bath for hubby and I to relax. Tub was the smallest I have ever seen. Bed felt hard as a rock. This was suppose to be a relaxing get away. It would have been better to pay for my kids to spend the night somewhere. Food was expensive. Cocktail drinks $12 . Ridiculous!

Wonderful hotel and venue. Super clean, bright, and welcoming. Valet staff was a bit grumpy with our driver, but I can overlook that. Check in and out is smooth. Rooms are amazing, and both the restaurant and lounge were wonderful. Easy location to explore downtown area.

I felt nickel and dimed. But it's got a great hot tub, pool, and work out center. Place was clean. Elevators didn't take forever, unless you happened to get on with a group that needed every other floor.

Very clean, amazing staff, comfortable.
Downtown Denver is noisy so there's that but no fault of the hotel obviously.
The only thing I could possibly "complain" about is that the bedding is .... Noisy. Crunchy? Lol
And I've stayed in a few hotels with a similar layout, the heat, even after raising the temperature, did not sufficiently warm the entire room only the area directly in front of the vent.

Rooms were very nice. Staff was great, very helpful and accommodating. Only thing that needs improvement was the quality of the toilet paper.

If you want to be ignored at the bar while you order your $12 drink, this is your place. At the 27th floor bar, or in the lobby. If expensive AND terrible customer service is your thing, check it out.

Very swanky. Apparently good for weddings or receptions since I saw about 4 different bridal parties while I was there.

Great place for a conference. Facilities are first rate, and the staff ensured things ran without a hitch. The meals and snacks went way beyond your typical 'conference ' fare. It was a very enjoyable two days.

Building was clean and attractive, and conveniently close to the convention center. Meeting room was well appointed.

Love this hotel, have stayed here twice and will stay again! The staff will go above and beyond to make guests comfortable and to represent the Hyatt brand well. From the valet parking to the concierge to the front desk and restaurant management everyone cares and has a Can do attitude. The rooms have a pretty view at night. Decent food available on the premises and also such a great venue for any conventions or major functions. Will return, thanks Hyatt!

Violently threatened by Antoine head of security for sitting and enjoying there large lobby area after meeting with friends. After sitting back recharging my phone he came up and demanded if I was a guest there which I promptly replyed I wasn't and a I was explaining myself he demanded for me to leave which not wanting confrontation immediately left.

We stayed at this hotel for a conference. The hotel is great, staff is great. Beds were way too hard and room service food and fees way too expensive. Will not be staying there if I ever have to travel for pleasure.

We didn't stay at the Hyatt but we used their public parking garage and their restaurant. It was very convenient and cheap. One of the better places to park in downtown Denver!

Nice hotel lobby and bar. Friendly service from the bartenders. I didn't stay at this hotel. I just attended an event at the bar.

Lovely views, beautiful rooms and great service. With it being right smack Downtown Denver makes it more enjoyable, plus everything you need is walking distance. Completely recommended!

Great staff and fantastic rooms. Unfortunately wind was howling throughout the 17th floor during the winter and had a hard time sleeping through the constant whistling

Nice, quiet, easy to get to and from with public transportation and Uber. Staff seemed friendly from my limited interaction.
