So disappointed in this hotel. We toured it for our wedding and were shown a beautiful room. We booked the vip suite because it was sold to us as a lake view, however the lake view is a stretch and the decor is old and nothing like the other rooms. We picked this specifically to get ready in for our wedding, and now our photos will be ruined. When we tried to change rooms, we were told nothing at all was available. Will be demanding a refund.

The place is styled from something like the early 20's the rooms are more modern and updated. It has a giant building that has all the rooms overlooking the main strip of the Arcade. It has different bars, places too eat and little stores.
We requested a specific room months in advance and they gave us the wrong room, they did fix it but it made us late for our new years eve plans. Other than that it was absolutely beautiful. The rooms are very chilly with the high ceilings though!
Was hard to find so much construction going on. Wasn't informed a wedding was going to be going on while I was there until I arrived to check-in. The whole hotel was blocked off and had to go completely out of my way to get to the room
I just stopped in to look at the stores and bars with my family and was confused when there was a wedding taking place. I felt like I wasn't allowed into the building so I left
Had breakfast at the 1890 restaurant and it was a pleasant experience. The location inside the Arcade is great, and the food is tasty with healthy options. Will visit again. Particularly liked their corned beef, quite flavorful.
Went after 5 on a Tuesday and most things were closed, but we ate at sushi 86 for dinner and it was pretty good. Though definitely not for sushi beginners!
Hotel room flooded so they upgraded me to a nice suite with a balcony view into the arcade of a band and wedding going below. Very pretty. Nice suite rooms, spacious. Liked that it was attached to the arcade so I could wander around.
We stay at Hyatt all the time, love them and still will. That said , this was not a decent experience for me. Parking was a hassle and costly for one night. Front desk was hard to find. Valet/reception was absent. Pleasant enough staff once you find them. Room 701, the elevator sounds like it is in the bathroom. Literally. All night long it rumbles up and down. Occasionally stopping at floor 7 so you can hear your newly acquired arch enemies disembark. Sorry, I hated everyone who rode the darn thing. Then there's the high rise construction going on next door. Not their fault , still sucked. Crane outside your window was fun to watch before breakfast at least. Which isn't included here the same as usual for Hyatt by the way. They will give you a coupon for one in the restaurant, additional party/ family members will have to purchase theirs. Was cheap enough, $10 p/p range , just fyi. The rest of the building the hotel occupies is an empty old mall. Sad really because it was beautiful. I was amazed that it was totally quiet, except for a small bbq stand that smelled wonderful , and a small post office. We purchased a package deal that included 2 tickets to the Rock and Roll Hall of fame. Which turned out to be more inconvenient , and no less expensive since we still had to purchase kids tickets at the Hall. Useless hassle of a promotion. Location is a typical downtown setting , convenient to attractions or buisness.
I had to wait on my brother to check us in. He booked the wrong night. We couldn't stay there. It was hot while we waited. The staff didn't try to help us get a room.
The hotel and the arcade are beautiful. The location is right where we wanted to be. We were walking distance from E. 4th, Quicken Loans Arena, and Progressive Field. The entire staff was excellent. I'm especially impressed with the valet staff who made any trip we took a delightful one.
Really nice location, lots of things within walking distance. The arcade promenade is really cool, nostalgic. Oddly empty though... The food at 1890 was decent, but not great.
It was nice no issues or complaints except for the fact that they do not offer free breakfast they even have a Cafe/restaurant built there to honor the year the hotel was established if it was mine I would offer free breakfast I mean as much as the rooms cost why not. I mean even at some of the cheeses motels offer free coffee and muffins. Oh and the strawberry pancakes at the Cafe cost $26 alone you can add sausage or grits if you like but that's the only thing on the breakfast menu it was veryyyyy limited.
This place has severely gone down hill. Valet had to jump out of a car to grab the door for me as hotel staff wouldn't make the effort. If you book through a 3rd party and not directly through Hyatt, expect the worst room they have. This has happened several times. The room I had had a small window overlooking the back alley and parkade. Due to a wedding going on, hotel staff used all passenger elevators to move tables and chairs making guests wait up to 30 minutes before they could get to their rooms. Hotel staff was arguing outside my room at 2:30 am. This was the worst stay ever. For the outrageous price they charge, there are far nicer hotels at more reasonable prices in the immediate area. Save your money, go in, take some photos and STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!
Ok is a great place to work on the power point and the symptoms which indicate an active manifestation of the disease and the symptoms which indicate an active manifestation of the disease and
Parking is less than ideal. The channel guide on the TV didn't work at all during my stay. Housekeeping didn't do anything at all. Would be nice if a hotel in a city with a Major League Baseball team offered MLB Network as one of the in-room TV channels. The room itself was nice, staff was mostly friendly and helpful, and the building (Arcade) is incredible.
Clean rooms, helpful front desk. Quick service on our request for a pack n play - and it came with baby shampoo and lotion, a nice touch. Wifi was included, but otherwise minimal amenities (no fridge in our room, pay for water bottles, only valet parking), but still a good location to stay downtown.
Location is great, but that's all I can say good about it. My room was cramped and VERY loud. Because of the set up of the hotel (rooms are on the outside perimeter and center is open and looks down upon the the shopping center) everything echoes. You can hear everything - people walking, talking, yelling, doors opening and closing. Don't stay here if you actually want to sleep. Also room service was delivered in a paper bag - sandwich and fries were in a plastic container and the fries were cold.
Clean, modern rooms inside a historical landmark. Walking distance to most of downtown. Noise inside rooms can be a bit much if there is an event in the arcade.
Great location with plenty of dining and nightlife nearby. The convention center and Jack casino are a few blocks' walk away. I stayed in one of the tower rooms, and was confused at first because I went up the wrong elevator - the hotel layout could stand to be explained better. The room was modern and quiet; my colleagues who stayed in the opposite towers had some complaints about the noise, but were able to get moved. The main floor of the Arcade was occupied by wedding parties and corporate events for a few days, which sometimes forced us to go up a floor to walk around them.
Beautiful hotel. We stayed in a double bed suite and it was very nice. Spacious, floor to ceiling windows, nice bathroom.
Cons: the carpet by the bathroom was dirty, could use a good cleaning. Also, BEWARE... they charged my 2 different credit cards for the room. I used different cards to reserve/pay the hotel and to use for incidentals. When I called to talk to them, theaccountant lady was very rude to me, she told me that this is how they do things even though noone told me nor is it on their website. (And thats not how hotels do it). Whether the money will be refunded or not, I should not have to wait 5 buisness days for my money to be returned.
Been up all night with noice, then it started at 5 am and hasn t stopped. For the price they charge this has not been good. $40 a day for parking on top of the room rate also. If I visit Cleveland again, I would go elsewhere for what this place offers. $4 for a coffee?!!
Wonderful hotel, I love the architecture and the convenience to everything. Had a nice stay here while visiting the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. Very quiet, the staff that greeted us were very professional and friendly. We will definitely come back here if ever in Cleveland again.
First time at Regency hotel, i must say the building is a stunning beauty. Built in 1890, the architecture is mesmerizing . Due to COVID, the building is empty & left to us to explore. The staff are very friendly, we had issue with the room but was quickly addressed by the onsite manager, got an email from VP of operations as well.
Stayed a night on Thanksgiving. When we arrived the hotel the valet people didn't care about us at all, I had to walk to them and asked about parking. Seemed like he really hated his job. So we decided to self parking at the garage, to be honest, we really don't want to tip him at all.
At the front desk: he told us parking with the valet will be cheaper than garage (yes, if you gonna go out) but no, if you stay at the hotel. We parked from 5pm-11am it costed $32 (valet will be $34+taxes+tips)
Terrible noise made sleeping impossible. The building architecture was beautiful and the room was clean and well-appointed. But my room (232) was on the side adjacent to a parking garage and there was a loud mechanical hydraulic noise that continually came on outside every few minutes. The shades also failed to block light from the outside. Beyond that, the shops in the arcade were mainly empty and it was a rather depressing place
The location at the arcade is very unique and beautiful. The accommodations and rooms met my expectations. The staff were very helpful to our requests. However privacy and security were of concern given the location has public access, on the weekend the lower levels had many people walking around.
Hotel was clean, staff was courteous. The downside was the hotel entrance is on Prospect Ave but we had to walk a block indoors to get to our room. That was not appreciated. This was also shared with the staff it was very inconvenient for us one of my party walks with a cane.
We didn't stay at the hotel, but we love the history in the building. And enjoyed coffee at the coffee shop under the glass roof. Very awsome. If you like historical buildings, this place is a must see!
Very nice place to stay. The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. Front desk staff was very friendly and knowledgeable of the city and points of interest. It was a 15 minute walk from here to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. There are several bars/restaurants of varying tastes and price ranges also within walking distance.
Service and hospitality are incredible. Rooms are large and spacious. Tall ceilings give an opulent feel and comfy beds feel like home. Loved our stay!
