Pro's:
Great view of the river, electric mirror, digital thermostat, spacious room, comfy bed with light sensors, nice toiletries.
Con's:
1 microwave in the hotel lobby; no others. When we checked in Robert didn't tell us that there is no maid service during our stay.
Tiny waste baskets.
Only 1 ice machine working
Bathroom was dirty when we checked in.
Use the garage here often. I have never stayed the night but it is a nice place.
Small rooms, lacking service, don't take care of their diamond members. Very disappointed. Would recommend another Hyatt property in Boston if you can.
Overrated and overpriced. We stayed for 4 nights, and our room was cleaned only once. The gym is tiny, and the pool was out of order during our whole trip. The view by the river is nice, but location-wise, it's actually too far to walk to many restaurants. It was at least quiet.
Free shuttle to get around, pleasant staff, and nice rooms.
The rooms are very nice and clean. Very good breakfast buffet, fast internet, and amazing service. Can only say good things about this place.
Stayed here over the 4th of July holiday. Nice hotel; there is a better than average restaurant onsite but the seafood/prime rib buffet was outstanding...like a mini version of the Mother's Day brunch at the Hotel Del.
It was hard to get an elevator at times and the stairs are difficult to find, as is the pool. The vending and ice machines are located separately, on every other floor, so a trip to get some ice and a soda requires going up or down at least one floor. In addition to that, it is quite long detour for one to take the stairs on this journey and room service only caters until 11pm (my goodness, what is the world coming to?)!!
Cool place elevators sucks staff s friendly and helpful
Great location and pleasant staff. Happy to stay here whenever I'm in town for work.
Great hotel. Gorgeous interior architecture, and friendly staff. Rooms are cozy, well cooled/heated, and it's clear that they had an eye for the design when planning the layout. Will definitely come again.
Good location near MIT and Harvard. For a Hyatt, it's a bit dated. Hope they're working on that.
Very nice rooms with balconies. I got one overlooking the Charles River! Rooms are clean and the service is great. Food selection could be a little bit better and cheaper. Beer selection is lacking and you can't bring any alcohol in (city ordinance). You can easily plug in stuff to the TV HDMI input if you want to watch your own stuff.
Very unique hotel with an atrium style inside. Balconies that look down over the open hotel, or out over the Boston Skyline. Clean, comfy, and kind staff.
Friendly staff and cool atmosphere. The view of Downtown Boston at night is something you will always treasure. A goodnight sleep is guaranteed at this hotel.
Beautiful place, at night you can see All of Boston's lights
Thrilling architectural features. Friendly cheerful intelegent staff.
Comforting decore. I felt so at home. Jane.
Would have liked a heat lamp over smoking area.
I found ordering room service from the TV a complicated process.
Still so gratefull for the invitation.
Everyone was so helpful, and the view of the Charles River was amazing!
Love this amazing hotel in the heart of M.I.T.
Incredible views of the river and downtown.
The restaurant located here is definitely 4 star with lots of choices to make your mouth water.
. They consider themselves as pet friendly place but they didn t allow our puppy to be in . They said you can leave him in your room. So if I am not a resident of the hotel where I will leave my dog.
I was here for a CE course, which was held in the 16th floor ballroom. The venue and staff were all amazing.
This is by far the least soundproof hotel I've ever visited. From the slatted bathroom door with a vent to the neighbors', to the echoing sounds of the room through the adjoining door, and the entire hotel over the balcony, this place is noisy. *The ONLY parking option is the hotel garage for $40*. Room was alright, but nothing special.
Good service, nice rooms, and helpful amenities, but in a recent stay, I found what looked like blood stains on the bed sheets. The staff was apologetic and changed the sheets fairly promptly, but the additional hassle kept me up later than I would have liked.
The rooms here are very nicely done, with good looking furniture and Decor. The restaurant on the second floor is very expensive but offers quality food. $40 for parking overnight is a bit excessive.
My stay at the Hyatt Regency Cambridge was very pleasant. All staff that I interacted with were friendly and helpful. The room was kept in excellent condition. Wonderful location with a great view.
Great hotel, great location, walking distance to everything would stay again!
Hotel beds were extremely comfortable and pillows were amazing. Service was awesome and food was delicious.
The property was impeccably run. All of the staff was extremely reaponsive and helpful. Check in and check out was a breeze. Bonus points for including parking in the fee so we could park and walk around the city. Would go back in a heart beat.
The hotel was nice. It did, however, feel like more of a 3 star hotel masquerading as a 5 star hotel. The curtains in my room were torn, and there was paint peeling in the windowsill. The shuttle that the hotel offers did not properly explain where the pickup location was and even though we spoke to the hotel on the phone, they were unable to send us transportation. Consequently, we were forced to walk two miles in the cold rain. After speaking with the manager at the hotel, we did manage to get $100 off of our room price as an apology.
Nice hotel. Interior a little dated but generally in good condition. Very comfortable bed and decent water pressure for showers
Always stay here when I come to Boston. Well priced and amazing balcony rooms
The pool at the sports club is probably the best in town available to the public with a membership
Fantastic location but you had to pay for parking, ridiculous
Very nice accommodations. Staff was helpful and gave us some nice tips for dining in the city.
it was fine. did not pay much attention. restroom sign was not quite obvious tho.
A bit dated and far from spotless. Got a good deal on priceline, which was well worth it, but wouldn't pay full price
Great view of the Charles River. The shuttle to Kendall Square was helpful. Made our stay in Boston for the weekend very pleasant.
Good location in Cambridge- equidistant between Kendall and Harvard Square. Using public transit to get into the city is somewhat challenging from this area compared to somewhere along the orange line. Hotel room was fine, beds were comfortable.
It was a nice view and nice, but basic amenities. Food was decent. Room was clean and had basic amenities but was not mind blowing.
Great location, great service, but the beds were a little stiff, the linens weren't very soft, and they use the square pillows instead of normal sized ones, which I don't find as comfortable. None of it was egregious, but a little room for improvement.
The rooms haven't been refreshed in September 2018, the crew is diligent in cleaning up the rooms every morning. Temperature set too high and the in room controller doesn't work
Thought they would have better service, especially in the restaurant.
So far hasnt been bad. Food is ok but a bit pricey for what it is. Breakfast buffet was nice and had quite a few options. Staff was extemely friendly and helpful.
Decor is nice. The Zephyr dining room and bar are cozy and the food is very good. A room with the river view is better.
Hotel was great for the two day conference I attended. I did not stay overnight. Parking was easily accessible, however tickets did not print if you need it.
I attended an event here, but did not get a room. I was impressed by the clean and elegant facilities and professional staff. Everything looked nice and the food was pretty good.
Very Nice clean hotel. Quiet rooms! Amazing views of the river! Would stay again when visiting family! Thank you!
The rooms are ok. The showers are tiny (think like an RV shower). The beds are nice, but doubles? I haven't seen a double bed in a hotel since the 80s.
Now the pissoff. If you order in you MUST go down to pick it up. The front desk will not send it up, nor will they allow the driver to come up.
This is not hospitality... Get your head out of your rectum and remember that your guests should come first. If someone is injured, tired, or just plain lazy it is literally your job to make the process easier.
Great luxury suites, great service, and great views of the Charles River. This Hyatt is strategically located near all of the major Boston landmarks. They also have a decent pool overlooking the Charles. There is also a hotel shuttle that drops you off at the T and a Duck Tours location so you can get around town without your own car or a rental. Considering all that this place has to offer, the rated are reasonable.
Mixed quality hotel with decent amenities, in a convenient location in Cambridge. They offer a shuttle to and from Kendall Square. Could use a slight refresh on their rooms, as they are slightly deteriorated or have noticable stains. While the staff is friendly, sometimes problems don't get fixed properly. I've stayed twice (World of Hyatt member), but probably won't return until they've had a chance to sort things out.
The location is very nice, with the balcony providing a great view of the Boston skyline. The hotel itself looks amazing and the staff do an amazing job of keeping it clean, even during a convention. I would definitely come here for another convention or a regular stay in a hotel room.
Great bed. Had a room with an outdoor balcony overlooking the Charles River. Nice to be able to step outside or sit at the table on the balcony.
The hotel is good not great as far as how it feels when you walk around and get to your room. The gym is a hassle to get to (go to second floor, walk across a sky bridge, take an elevator up to the gym) but fairly nice for a hotel gym. Breakfast buffet is actually very good.
We made a reservation for my sons, ages 19 and 17, to look at colleges in the area for the 17 year old. When they got to the hotel, they were informed they couldn't check in because they weren't over 21. That restriction doesn't appear anywhere in the reservation process and isn't mentioned in any of the standard parts of the website dealing with rules or restrictions. The hotel refused to accept any blame or help my sons in any way. My sons were sent out into Boston in the middle of the night to try to find a hotel at the last minute on their own. If this hotel has an age restriction, that should be spelled out clearly during the reservation process, to avoid wasting a lot of time and effort.
The food for the conference was quite good. Not much is within easy walking distance, but the hotel restaurants are pretty nice.
It was a nice stay but on our first night the roof started leaking in the bathroom. We waited the whole day and when we returned it was still leaking and the hotel could only put us in a downgraded replacement room. Above all, everything is overpriced
My friend and I asked front desk to change our bed sheets 4 times and at last they just put the sheets on the bed. ?? Do we have to change our own bed? We were so confused and talked again to front desk and still didnt change. Seems like I have to change our bed and clean bathroom too? Whats the point to go to hotel and ask them to change?
My favorite place to stay in Cambridge. Nice suites.
I attended a professional event there where we had a ball room then a tented area for cocktail hour followed by going to the hotel bar. The place was gorgeous and the service was excellent. I would love to have our next event there!
Friendly staff, decent location adjacent to MIT, short walk to Boston University, with a very convenient shuttle to local transport and shopping hubs. All that and a decent price too. Rooms are serviceable, not the best, but tidy with good water pressure and the free wifi is not slow. No real complaints and would stay again.
Friendly service, relaxing atmosphere, and great view of Charles River/Boston!
Very clean, great room with a view of river and at restaurant as well. Professional, friendly service.
