Beautiful property with fun for the whole family as long as the weather holds up. It can be pricey so you can stock up nearby on supplies. Additionally the "corner store" inside by the elevators has the most reasonable prices for decent food (and good breakfast tacos). Most of the staff is very helpful and friendly especially to the little ones.

We went for a mini honeymoon and it was perfect. Shawna at check in was just amazing. She got us a room with a beautiful view, sent us a delicious little gift to our room and made our stay fantastic. We ate at Shellers both nights we were there and Joyce was fantastic behind the bar! You have to try the tx grilled cheese at Shellers! We tried out the spa for a couples massage and we were so relaxed after that. The ladies were so sweet and nice that did our massage. We could not have asked for a better place to spend our little honeymoon! We will be returning for sure!

This is still a nice place, but after more than 10 years in business, the upcoming facelift is sorely needed. Wear and tear is showing up in the furnishings and in the bathrooms. I understand that they may not be fixing these things in anticipation of the facelift. Once that is complete, I am sure to give it five stars.

Beautiful resort, though that's the highlight of the trip. Mine and my partner's wallets were stolen from the ballroom during a wedding when there were numerous staff around (and locked doors to the hallway) and I would've hoped it would've been better monitored. Although the staff were very sympathetic and somewhat helpful in the search the next morning, there was absolutely no help offered financially to get through the morning- breakfast, check out, even coffees from the cafe while we were searching the premises for hours. Was hoping a top-notch resort would've offered more to us in for our loss of all money and credit cards and taken a bit of responsibility for something being stolen on their premises.

Wonderful experience. Friendly staff, amazing views, great lazy river with lots of shade, and tons of activities for kids. Playground, ping pong, tennis, pool table, etc. Offer bikes to rent, but not much of a trail honestly. Lots of places to eat and a killer breakfast buffet.

Amazing family hotel, so many activities to enjoy quality family time. Pool with lazy river and slides, outdoor games, bicycles, soccer and basket field, outdoor movie nights, inflatable, s'mores, crafts, faceprinting, balloons, ponys. A hotel and vacation to remember. Great rooms and good restaurants as well.

I have stayed at the Lost Pines on several occasions when my spouse has business meetings. The staff is friendly, there are always plenty of fun activities plan for families and the rooms and grounds are clean. My only issue with the place is the beds are not the most comfortable. To be fair, I feel like that about most hotels. I would definitely stay here again and again. My kids love the pools and the lazy river also.

Beautiful resort, however it's over priced for what you get. I've stayed in nicer hotels for less than 400.00 a night. The staff really didn't communicate about activities going on, there's no information in your room regarding restaurant's, activities, grounds, bars, pools, spa, etc... I just really expected so much more, thoroughly disappointed.

This place is beautiful! Very scenic, quiet, and lots to do... This is a resort and you will pay expensive resort prices. From the $30 a day vallet to the excessive fees to have a bottle of cheap champagne delivered to the room. The restaurant Stories is magnificent! The chef is amazing at preparing food. The spa is very expensive so we skipped that. There is a hot tub but it is difficult to find out at the water park. Hardly any lights with no signs indicating where it is. It is nice once you find it. We had a wonderful time but unfortunately could only stay one night. The highlight was the Longhorns they brought out for pictures. The low part was not being told a $36 bottle of champagne would cost $55 after fees. All in all I would definitely come back but do more research to find a better nightly rate.

The Hyatt Regency at Lost Pines is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous, meticulously cared for grounds and a simple warm atmosphere. The staff are the friendliest I've seen in a long time, they greet everyone with wide smiles and welcoming attitudes. I feel extremely lucky to stay here. This is my first time in Texas and I am loving it thanks to this resort!

Best lazy river attraction I've been to. Water is never warm except in the kid pool. Dinner buffet is ok on price, but has an excellent desert bar. Free bikes to use. Everything else is nice, but typical come-and-pay Hyatt.

Hotel was beautiful, but vastly overpriced. There is virtually no lighting around the pool at night, and that was a serious problem for me. I fell, thought I had broken my ankle, and had to cut our stay short. I explained what had happened to the hotel desk, but never once heard from a hotel manager to see if I was ok or if there was anything they could do to make our stay better. I have always assumed that Hyatt hotels offered exceptional customer service, but now I am not so sure.

We are more than deceived by this place. We bought 2 one day passes and let me tell you that it s not worth it. The only thing you can do is swim in the dirty water of the lazy River or the even more disgusting water of the pools. The water slide, the only activity included in the day pass was closed as well as most restaurants. Nothing worth the price is included. We tried to get a refund but since we had to enter the park to discover how bad the place was, it was too late. On the other hand, the only positive thing was the friendliness of the bar staff.

I wish I had been aware of the fiasco regarding billing for my recent stay before I completed their survey.
I love Lost Pines. We have stayed there for a car show each year for a while. This time I was thrilled that my company retreat was going to allow me two additional days at this wonderful facility.
Then I got home and started looking at my bill (which was emailed), my bank account and my corporate credit card. My billing is a nightmare. I don't have a credit card and used my debit card. My fault. They took out my room charges plus $100 per day incidentals charge saying that's what happened with a debit card. Okay so far.
Then I went off of my personal account and on to my company credit card for the second part of my stay. So far, that card has been charged for the hotel and resort fees plus the $100 incidentals charge which I was told would NOT be charged on a CREDIT card if not used. ALSO, today my personal debit card has been charged for the room and resort fee. At this point, I have been charged more than double the amount of my ACTUAL room and restaurant charges. Supposedly credits are in the works but no one can explain how or why my debit card keeps getting charges. Also, those credits may take 5 - 6 days to show up in my bank account. That's surprising since the charges seem to come out immediately but refunds take a while.
I love this facility, but this is a real headache. In my job, I also plan events. It doesn't have to be this complicated. I actually have an event in Bastrop coming up in November. I checked out some sites and caterers while I was in Bastrop but hoped to be able to use Lost Pines even though it's more expensive. After all of this, I have just confirmed meeting space at the Hampton Inn and catering with Southside Market.
Too bad.
Additional comments: I was surprised that the roadway into the facility was totally dark while we were there. There are street light lanterns, but they weren't on during our stay. Also the parking lot and walkways seemed to be extremely dark this year. Walking from the parking lot back to the lobby was very dark. Also, this year, the hallways and Firewheel Restaurant were freezing. We ended up getting our food to go the first night because it was so cold in the restaurant.

Location is about 40 minutes outside the middle of Austin, so if you are going then you should either plan to stay pretty close to there or be ready to drive. Speaking of driving, getting into the place is a very different experience since the last 3 miles into the place is a winding and hilly road that should be taken at about 25 mph unless you want your passengers to hold on tight. Rooms are about on par if you have stayed at a nice Hyatt before (did have an issue with one shower being finicky about temperature), but the calm attitude surrounding the place is definitely something else. Good: calm, quiet, nature. Bad: price, far from city center, and some issues with staff seeming to make mistakes with cards and such.

The kids had a great time riding horses. Spent the first half hour grooming (West and Annabelle) and the second half hour riding them. They were excited to meet and interact with full size horses. My daughter especially enjoyed herself but my son was the most vocal. We could here him all the way down the trail. We were so excited we could give them such a great memory. Us, too, will forever remember those smiles. Thank you to Stacey and her boys for providing such a wonderful time. They were kind and patient. Really appreciate it all the hard work!

The hotel is nice, the service is a bit hit or miss. On our first visit, the valets lost our luggage and couldn't find it for several hours. Second visit, we called housekeeping to bring bus something and they never showed up. Prices for food and other incidentals on site are pretty insane. You basically have to pay them, though, since it is a 20-30 minute drive to get anywhere from the hotel. The amenities are OK, the water park isn't as large or nice as some you can find elsewhere in Texas.

This would be a great place for a family reunion, wedding or short (long weekend) summer trip with kids. We came for our anniversary and found ourselves entertained for about 3/4 of a day, however we said constantly this would be so fun with our kiddo. Their pool and lazy river area looks awesome, they rent out bikes and have some short hiking trails (not quite long enough for serious folks but would be fun exploring with kids), and they have sports courts. the fire pit with s mores, visits from their farm animals/mascots as well as the movie on the lawn were fun touches as well. Totally understand during Covid not having all restaurants open but it would have been nice to have options, so hoping for future visits bc we also were hoping for a nice dinner but it was just adequate. Overall, I wouldn t recommend it for a romantic getaway like we did but we thought the grounds were nice, it was clean, the staff friendly and the suite we had was beautiful and comfortable. We d certainly come back with our family!

This property is amazing. There are nature trails running throughout and so many activities to take part in. The rooms are spacious and modern, with a touch of museum quality in the fact that for many photos on the walls there are plaques next to them explaining the history of the photo or painting. The staff here go above and beyond in all cases, big or small. The variety of restaurants on site all serve good quality food. I don't play golf, but apparently the course is very nice as well. I'd recommend checking this hotel out if you have a few days and want a calming place to retreat to.
