Terrible experience during the year we rented from Huneycutt. They never fixed anything that was on our Move In inspection sheet, it wasn t until the last couple months when black mold was forming and we had horrible spider problems that I managed to search Google and find the owner of the house and talk to them about what was going on and they had no idea there was even problems with the house. Huneycutt is only in reality to make a quick buck and don t care about destroying anyone s home. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE AS YOU CAN!!

These people are suck because they so money hungry they try and take your security deposit for crazy mess.. They told my husband the base boards wasn't clean, the ceiling fans was a little dusty and the oven wasn't clean and it was a leak under the sink so all this coming out your security deposit I would never rent from them.. They are liars and just want people money ... Smh
"STAY AWAY FROM HUNEYCUTT!!!!!!" If you are looking to rent a home do not use Huneycutt. If you value your time and money do not use Huneycutt. I drove from Indianapolis, IN to look at a property, in which we were pre approved for, and way more financially then the house was renting for. It cost our time, gas and a nights stay in the area including meals. My wife and I put a deposit down for the home in which it cost money to have it transferred to and from accounts. After returning back two days later denied approval based on pet restrictions, in which we included on application. At the end of the day they re approved us for the house. A week after that they denied us again based on my fourteen year old background. I realized this could have been an issue and prior to even applying to any home had discussed the issue with the office in order to not waste anyone time or money. I have done my best to rebuild the damage my decisions have made in my life and strive to be a productive member of society despite. The bottom line is with no regard to the time and money lost and there total disrespect of people I would tell anyone to STAY AWAY FROM HUNEYCUTT. It is not the denial that bothers me but there lack of appreciation and being so unorganized that they could care less of the waste of time they they have created that we could have been putting our efforts in elsewhere. I hope that someone learns from our experience and STAY AWAY FROM HUNEYCUTT. The only reason I am giving one (1) star is because you cant give none (0). I am also a Army Vet, and served my country, which makes my decisions that much more difficult at the time.
Left in 5 minutes! Rude staff told me I can only afford $1,095 and told me I needed to have money up front because apparently I was lying when I said how much I make. Then referred me to see another employee that left because she didn't want to deal with me.
Just got approved for a home loan for $1,500 a month without taxes or insurance.
We sold our house in Clarkville and used Lenora @ Honeycutt. I know not all experiences will be like ours, but our house sold in less than 30 days and within 60 days we had closed. We lived in a different state and Lenora worked with us and made the process as easy as possible. I would recommend Lenora without any reservations.
I have been worked with and known Huneycutt Realtors for 7 years. Every time I have needed any assistance as a tenant, they are there the same day. All of my friends and coworkers I have recommended to this company has had nothing but positive experiences. Thank you so much Huneycutt for being so reliable and friendly!!
Our experience with Huneycutt was by far the worse landlord experience received and that is why I am writing this review. There are many frustrations we faced during our yearlong agreement. The biggest concern we had with them is the move out period. It seemed the deposit (1st month s rent), they did not want to hand back over towards the end of the lease period. As soon as you notify them you are moving they require you sign a form that you keep your utilities on 5 business days AFTER your MOVE OUT date. This is not legal. Beware you also have to pay a rekeying and carpet cleaning fee which comes out of the security deposit. We took over someone s lease on a quick turnaround, carpet cleaning couldn t be done, no big deal. Upon moving out they wanted to charge us for a carpet cleaning and provided us with a false receipt and stated it had been done for us now it needed to be done for the future tenant. The false receipt claimed to have cleaned the carpets at the time the previous tenants were living there. Other ridiculous demands include, repairs under $100 is to be fixed and replaced by the tenant, and no pets (although every other townhome building owner owned pets). Make sure you document EVERY single damage or missing item upon move in inspection or else you will be held responsible upon move out (even if the place is 20 years old). You have to pay for rekeying and carpet cleaning upon move out date. The fixtures are so out of date, no garbage disposal, no microwave, and old washer and dryer. We will never rent nor purchase a home from this company. All tenants that we spoke with were just as unhappy as we were. They will try to take every bit of your deposit money or won t give you one at all. Be aware of this horrible business and the sneaky practices they use.
My family and I were looking for a safe and affordable place to live in the Clarksville area we have pets and made them aware of what we needed . We were shuffled around from person to person then shown a property with the promise of moving in yet suddenly became unavailable . We were discriminated against , our phone calls were avoided and never returned . I have never been treated so poorly . The customer service was rude and very unprofessional . I will be sure and steer all of my friends and family in the area to never trust the integrity and professionalism of Huneycutt Realtors .
The Honeycutt's I have known ever since I can remember. Fair honest and good people and in a jam this year they showed me not just what good people but AWESOME home and helped ASAP get what needed. Now I need to find few acres and I Know Tina will find what we need. Awesome staff and love our home. Temporary and now Just few ackers and we can have a little design of our own. Lesse is up in September so just 3-4 ackers and life should be spent there forever.
We were working with an agent from a different company and placed 2 verbal offers on a house that was on the market for 110 days. The first verbal offer, we were told that the owner would not accept that offer. After the second verbal offer, all of a sudden there were TWO other offers on the table now. So we had until 5:00 Saturday to place our official bid (which was over the asking price). We were told by our realtor that we "SHOULD" hear back from Huneycutt (Crissy) either late Saturday night or Sunday. 24 hours later, still no word. Which makes us believe that PERHAPS our offer was the highest, and they asked the lower bidder if they could or would offer more. We were not notified until 11:00 Monday morning that the seller accepted a higher offer. Bottom line, BEWARE if you are interested in a house listed by Huneycutt Realty and you are working with an agent from another company. We could have been notified right away that we were outbid and that would have been acceptable, NOT almost 48 hours later.
Worst experience in my life spoke to Beverly the rudest property manager EVER!!!!! Sound like I was bothering her and getting on her nerves! Please run run far far away DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! We put a deposit down and didn t hear from anyone in about 2 weeks I called several times and no answer. Finally when I did get a whole of someone, I got Beverly which needs to be fired cause she was so rude and unprofessional. I admittedly ask for my deposit back ASAP. Which is still being processed. Don t even waste your time and money on this company. They don t even deserve 1 star. Smh RUN!!!!!!
TERRIBLE. Don t spend your money with these crooks. They took my entire security deposit for carpet cleaning and cleaning they are rude and scam soldiers! If you are a soldier DO NOT DEAL WITH THESE PEOPLE. I wish I could give them zero stars over and over and over again ! I will be filing a complaint with the BBB in the morning
Hunnycutt is AWEFUL they do not care about keeping properties maintained. Our "manager" if that's what you want to call her Camille is such a liar, we mentioned that there was mold in all of the floor vents when we did our move in inspection and it was NEVER taken care of. She claimed that we never tried to contact her when in fact we tried for 3 months. She also made a snooty comment about "well I work too and I don't work saturdays" alright lady I work Monday through Saturday and my husband is deployed. So they do not work with you on schedules. She also told us she would be there on a Saturday and we showed up and she wasn't there. Hunneycutt has a bad reputation with realty in the area and are well known by a few lawyers in the area and with JAG as a few military families have had issues. I strongly advise to stay away after reading all of these reviews I can see that we will most likely not be getting our security deposit back when everything has been noted on the move in inspection that was wrong and I have all the documented proof.
I give this place two stars because i found a place online which was no longer available but i spoke with an agent on the phone who offered additional options. She asked for my information to follow up with an application but i never heard from her again.
Rude workers and horrible to reach during an emergency . We also called them to see if they could help send someone to get rid of wasps and their nest outside of the duplex we live in and they said they couldn't do anything. Would recommend people go through another company in the area .
I bought my house and worked with Amber Morgan and she was awesome! We are military and first time home buyers, she was very patient and phenomenal to work with!
I honestly would give them no stars. They don't care of the well being of the tendence. I'm 8 month pregnant and my air conditioning has gone out 3 times in less than a month. I have had to call them several times just to be sent to voice mail because the women at the front desk dont want to do the jobs they were hired for. I have tired to even get a hold of the person that runs this place about my concerns. They have yet to get ahold of me and this was when it went out the first time. You call at 1pm and several times during the business hours just for someone to come out at 10 at night for maybe 15 minutes and say "you are good." Just for it to go out the next week. I'm tired of the house being 90+ degrees and them not caring about it. This isn't the first time something has happened. I will NEVER rent from these people again.
PayLease LLC is currently working with Huneycutt Realtors to give their residents the ability to make their payments online. So far the staff has been friendly, organized, responsive, and eager to please their residents. Overall it has been a real pleasure working with Huneycutt Realtors.
Before moving into a rented home, it s typical for a rental company or owner to clean the property before you move in. Seeing as COVID-19 is still a major problem you would think someone would take cleaning as a main priority. Not only was the place filthy, the air didn t work as soon as we moved in. This, to me, made it seem that no actual inspection of the place was done. The downstairs bathroom also had a leak as soon as we moved in. They then, after almost four months of telling us that water was included in our rent, demanded we pay water. We would gladly pay a water bill if we ever received one, but we never even had to get it turned on. This is the most unprofessional and disorganized company I have ever came into contact with. Take the bad reviews and how ratings into consideration. I didn t, and I regret it.
We rented two homes through Huneycutt for roughly 3 years. The first place we rented was decent, minus the HUGE and disgusting amount of dog hair that completely wrapped the outside a/c unit (clearly was not inspected or cleaned), and the dog hair that came out of the bathtub jets . These issues were brought to our property managers attention with nothing done - we cleaned them ourselves when we should not have. We ignored the red flag and rented a second property from Huneycutt.
The Second rental home was a nightmare. The master bedroom, stairs and upstairs rooms were carpeted and supposedly cleaned prior to us moving in. The neighbors stated that the cleaning company was there long enough for me to smoke a cigarette , which would explain why the carpets left our feet/socks BLACK. We actually had to lay down plastic runners because the carpets were SO dirty. We rented a carpet cleaner ourselves, used it three times in each room AND stairs....the water never ran clear - or even a light brown. Always BLACK. 48hours of cleaning, just money wasted. Im also willing to bet the carpet was riddled with mold - we were always sick one way or another living there, but not since we ve moved out.
Every single wall in the house was dirty, sticky and full of nails, holes, or peeling paint. It was like living in a decade of gross history. Nothing was cleaned and we were told they d take $100/$120 off our firsts rent because that s what it costs to hire cleaning crews. We were fine with this until we actually got in and started cleaning seeing the extent of it all - it was beyond disgusting. I was STILL finding things to clean almost a year later.
The upstairs toilet sprung a leak causing water to drip down onto our dining table (I had to get a new table because it was ruined, and frankly, I was also disgusted). Huneycutt s repair guy fixed the leak but left a giant hole in the ceiling that was still their the day we moved out a year later - he was actually supposed to come back the day after fixing the leak to repair the hole in the ceiling. We spoke with the property manager on two different occasions about the hole left in the ceiling. Stopped caring about it when we saw they didn t care about it.
The lock box was left on the front door the entire time we rented the property, causing us difficulty using the front door. Every time we spoke to the property manager we mentioned the lock box still being on the door - being told she would come out to get it. She joked about it still being there our last day. *rolling my eyes*
Something crawled into the a/c duct and died. We called, sent emails and called again...nothing was ever done. Wasn t a huge concern to them. The smell eventually went away. *rolling my eyes again*
We called about the carpets, the walls, the windows...everything we were concerned about. We listed EVERYTHING we experienced with the condition of the house when we moved in - we moved out leaving it in near perfect condition (minus two damaged closet doors from moving out - hitting with bed frames - costing $140 for replacing both).
Our deposit was $950...we got $85 back three months after moving out . Cleaning cost almost $400. Cleaning the house that we were even told was NOT cleaned before we moved in, $400?!? A property where the manager stated there was only enough time to clean the carpets , $400 ?!? We took a personal day to come back to TN to clean and vacuum every room, counter and appliance, underneath the fridge and stove (our dogs hair and normal bunnies). We did forget inside the refrigerator, but there s NO WAY it cost $400 to clean that! We weren t allowed to be there for the final walk through due to COVID so I feel the walk through was not done honestly. Especially since the other place we rented was $120/$150 for the standard cleaning fee.
We may have gotten screwed over in the deal but we are thankful to be done with Huneycutt and Clarksville.
We had a fantastic experience with Vision Realty. They didn t want to see us go because we re great tenants . Explain that.
If I could give 0 stars I would. DO NOT BUY from this company. Our realtor lied to us over and over again. It was our first home buying experience and it was the worst. We had to look up all the houses ourselves. Even after telling her we wanted close to base, she still showed us houses 30 minutes away. We were new and unfamiliar with the area. Not only that, but for new builds the addresses on trulia, Zillow, etc were way off so we had no idea where or how to look. It was a disaster. We did get a house, but it was after she lied to us saying that the builder wasnt building anymore in this neighborhood. Then during the walkthrough with the builder she confirmed it was a lie and told us she could have built it how we wanted just down the street. Will never work with honeycutt again. Stay as far away from as possible!!
I would never rent from these people! I called to try to look at a house and I tried asking about the credit report.. I have decent credit don t get me wrong but I was just asking questions because I was worried about it taking another hit on my credit since I ve been looking at houses already, and they guy kept cutting me off didn t care to even have an interest in showing me the house and then hung up on me!!!
After I called back and complained to the lady at the front desk (who was rude also) saying I was going to leave a review, he tried to call back and apologize.
I would never rent from these people seeing this type of communication from this business.
After getting on here and seeing the reviews I am not surprised this is the type of customer service they have.
Now I see why they didn t want me to add a negitive review to their mostly negatives reviews that they do have.
Their realtor Chrissy was supposed to show our house. We confirmed a time and she arrived 15 minutes early. Told her we were 8 minutes away, she said they d drive around the block. She never showed up and upon being told it was unprofessional we were met with a haha . We were over three hours away from home and rushed back tidied up a bit and waited. At 2:05 I texted and the response was oh sorry
My Military family steer clear of this company... Our move in date deadline was July 16th. Called this company in June. This company have people they don't know that calls you (Don Friend) and want your info. Than another realtor named Bonnie started working with me on (July7th) spoke to her on a Friday to get started on listings to rent. Spoke to her Sat late... had to wait for her to call me back, her vmail is always full, no chance to leave any messages. She rushed me off the phone because she had to help a friend move and had dinner plans. Was to wait for the property manager (Tammie) of the property I was interested in call me. Got the call at 10pm at night (from a unknown number), to be told a walk thru or video of the place should be done by the realtor (I was in another state doing this by phone). Called the realtor on a sunday no answer, no vmail. Called the realtor Monday, no answer, no vmail. Called huneycutt to talk (Tammie), was told she was there. Was transferred and got vmail. (left a message) no call back. I when was another realtor company. That did walk thrus and pics, on my interests, and some of the properties Huneycutt had. And those properties all had somethings wrong with them. And our cap off rent was 1300 a month.. And oh yeah Bonnie called 7pm on a Tues night July 11th and our deadline was July 16th. DON'T BOTHER WITH THIS COMPANY. SOMETHING IS OFF.
DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. Do not rent. Do not buy. Do not do any business with these individuals. I have never rented from them and I am glad I didn't, however my family has. The entire time they were with them, they were ignored, talked down to, and disrespected. After multiple requests to have several things fixed (that were broken from the beginning), only one was fixed, and they have made moving out an absolute nightmare. They have kept the deposit, despite the house being in perfect condition but a minor fix, and have blamed the other fixes that were already there (the ones that were requested to have done beforehand) on my family. They have charged an unlawful amount for a carpet cleaning and house cleaning, despite the house being completely empty, and have claimed they will also be charging $150 to remove a bedroom door and repaint due to there being crayon at the bottom. They have shown the house without consent and showed up without warning when they were still living there, and then berated my family for buying their own house. The list goes on. Please, spare yourself the headache and spare your wallet.
I did not rent from them. Instead my interaction with this company was because they owned a home a couple hours over from mine. They rented the home out but never did anything a proper real estate company should do.
The tenants would have more people living there than legally allowed, the various tenants over the years have always trashed the yard and left grass to grow three feet tall...even four feet in some places.
The real estate company never went to do maintenance on the house either. I had notified them of several issues with the home that needed to be fixed because it was not only unsightly but posing health hazards...but they never did anything.
I had to get the city code enforcement involved to make the tenants cut the grass...but even then it did not happen. Eventually if seemed like the city had to get on Huneycutt Realtors to make the grass get cut.
And in all the time I contacted them about the house issues, they always had an attitude or completely failed to respond back to me.
This company discriminates against pitbull breeds!!! I can t believe that they have houses for rent for 1000+, but I m NOT allowed to bring my dog!!! Complete foolery!!
I am appalled at the management of this business. I am currently a client of Huneycutt, as they handle and manage my property while I am stationed in Germany. Their finance office holds payments until mid month. Furthermore, when they have internet issues deposits take longer. I do not understand what the hold up is if renters have up to the 5th of every month to pay rent or they get charged late fees. Where do the late fees go because I don't see any, especially if homeowners are required to pay for property on time. In my opinion, if you are a property owner stay away from Huneycutt, it's in your family's best interest.
Huneycutt has always been great to our family. We were renting a home, but the people we were renting from weren't paying their mortgage with the rent money we were providing them with. Huneycutt stuck by our side as the renters when all of it started to unfold and they made sure we were able to move into another home immediately. They have always been courteous and helpful. They have a responsibility as property managers to the owners. If you take care of the home you are renting, ensure you keep the maintenance up, ensure you list all deficiencies on the forms during your initial inspection, etc... you will not have any problems. They are straightforward and upfront, I have nothing but good things to say about them.
Crissy is by far the absolute best realtor we could have found! She has been extremely attentive to my picky wants in the house buying process. She has gone above and beyond to make buying a house the least stressful it could be especially moving across country. She took countless hours out of her schedule to video multiple properties for us so that we could have an idea of what we needed for our family! She is extremely responsive and in a timely manner. Meeting with her in person just clicked so well and I am so happy that I trusted Crissy in this process and with finding my family dream home! Shes such a down to earth realtor and makes everything so understanding. I cannot thank her enough for all that she's done!
Selling a house? Don't bother. Filled out the web application to have someone contact me. Nope. Called the office, left a message. Nope. Called again, talked to human being...Promised she'd get back to me. Nope. Completely awful. Choose ANYONE else. I went with Mike Griffis at Exit Realty.
Had them as my property manager for a house I bought while stationed at Fort Campbell. Whenever there were problems with my property I could not get answers as to what was wrong or if things were fixed. I would just see the bills from whatever agency they called out with no explanation. When I asked them to put my house up for sale I got no response so I emailed an agaent directly and the only thing I received after that was a listing of properties that had sold near mine. Now a year later after losing my job. House was foreclosed and they are giving me the run around on closing the account and charging me administration fees so they don't have to return and money to me. This company does not take care of its customers. For 6 years they collected 10% from me and when I needed anything from them it was impossible.
They do not work with people and very rude to potential clients. We did not rent from them. We actually only wanted to look at a house. We were denied because they said we did not make enough. We informed the staff and some grouch of a woman named Beverly that we would need to not only supply proof of income but also proof of current rent as well. Again this was not to rent said house, JUST to see the property. We were not only told we couldn t afford the 1395.00 rent (even though we currently pay $1634) but that we would only be approved to view houses that were $1250 or less because they needed to ensure we could pay our rent and our debt. Their decision would not be swayed due to our debt to income ratio. We pay the rent and our other bills on time EVERY MONTH! But yet they have the audacity to tell us we can t afford their home. I will be sure to let EVERYONE know how horrible they treat their potential clients, I can now only imagine how they treat current tenants.
Absolutely the worst real estate agency in Clarksville period. If you rent a house through this company might as well say good buy to your security deposit. They well charge you for things that where noted on the move in inspection even when everything is documented saying it was there before you even move in. Had a $895 security deposit and got $270 back. Had stupid things in there like $100 to cut the grass....who spends $100 to get their grass cut in a small front yard and back yard that can be cut with a push mower in 30 minutes....wow is all I can say. So glad I didn't choose them as a real estate company on buying a house. I also noticed a few people on here are saying the exact thing about their security deposit as well. STAY AWAY!!!!
Called to find a realtor to show a home. Got a Kathy whom said she would call me back after she got out of church at 11:30am. Never heard from her again. Shame. Can't find any good realtors in Clarksville willing to help a family who was in desperate need to find a home quickly.
I have been calling for two weeks trying to get them to cut down two dead trees that are dangerously about to fall on private property. All I get is we will try to send someone over.... I wonder what will happen if someone gets hurt from a fallen tree or branch? Will they asume responsibility? Will they shy away and hide?
STOP!!! PUT IT IN REVERSE TERRY!!! Renting from this company was a complete nightmare from start to finish. If you plan on renting or buying a house from this company just plan on getting ripped off. you can leave the house 2x cleaner then when you first moved in (which we did, it was disgusting when we moved in) and they are still going to charge you for every imperfection regaurdless if it was there before you moved in or not, it doesn't matter if you documented it. they are going to charge you to clean the carpets even if you have them professionally cleaned beforehand but the thing is they arent going to actually have them cleaned. This company is made up of a bunch of schiesty individules. Whatever you do dont let your a/c break on you in the summer, it will take them 3 days to even reach out to the property owner once you call to try and get it fixed. If you are a property owner looking for a management company just don't, rent it on your own or find another company. You will thank me later. I would rather shoot myself in the balls then live in a home managed this company.
I have been using Huneycutt Realtors to manage my rental properties for over 10 years. They have always taken great care of my properties and keep me informed on every repair and turnover. Julie is so helpful and professional and it has been so easy to reach her with any concerns. If you need property management services I would recommend Michael Huneycutt to manage and take the worry away.
These people are the worst to rent from... they bought our apartment building from a different rental company... when we rented the place there were damages done, we noted them and took pictures of everything before moving our stuff in. When they took over, they raised the rent. I'm sorry but this place is NOT worth $800 a month. They never made us sign a lease which works out great for us because we want out of this place asap. There is a HUGE pest problem and it is stated in the lease (read our neighbors lease) that we are responsible for all pests and even for the damn hedges out front.... isn't that what the lawn care people are for? And pests?? It is beyond ridiculous. All 4 tenants have complained about the amount of bugs that get into our home... spiders, centipedes, ants are horrible no matter how clean your home is... they are beyond rude... Tammy is who runs our building and that is the most unprofessional woman I have met in my life. She has cussed at one of her tenants as well.. who does that? You're suppose to be professional, yet that woman is beyond far from professional... also, there is no way for anyone to break a lease... so don't put in your agreement that lease can be broken because that is not possible.... we are fixing to move out and I'll be damned if they try and charge us for damages because I have documents that prove the place was dirty and things were not fixed before moving in... the toilet downstairs isn't sturdy, it moves everytime you sit down, it also leaves a foul odor no matter how much cleaning solution you use, scratches all over the walls, the paint job is horrible, stains in the carpet, etc... if they even try to charge us, I will GLADLY take them to court.. I have already spoken to an attorney and she is ready to take on our case if huneycutt tries to charge us... this is the worst realtor company and I refuse to let any friends or family go through them. Save the hassle and go to another rental company. These people are not the way to go! Especially if you have a grown ass woman who is suppose to be professional cuss out one of her tenants when the tenant wasn't even cussing at her... (was a friend of mine) they need to be shut down honestly.... this is definitely no place to have babies living at neither... just an FYI!
Worst place I've had the privilege of dealing with no one has a straight answer so they transfer you from person to person all having a different answer. Go to the actual brick and mortar building to finalize your move in and they've already rented it out but they won't tell you that you have to call someone to transfer you somewhere to hang up on you call back to find out
At first not bad. Nice little place for a pretty fair price. After the deposit was made and lease was signed, no contact whatsoever. I didn't mind maintenance under $100 must be paid for by the tenant. That's not bad, however, when you go to move out, they will eat up your security deposit. They charge to clean to the carpets when you leave, however, they will charge extra and say they needed "deep cleaned." Our carpets were in good shape when we left. They will also say your bushes needed trimmed and yard needed edged. What do they do if you've already done this? Pay someone to go in with a chainsaw and totally ruin the landscaping. Sadly, I moved accross the street and watched this happen. I felt bad for the people moving in after me. IMPORTANT!: If you are currently renting from them, the only thing I can say is that there is no law saying that you need to use their 30 day notice to terminate lease. All you need to do is file a basic 30 day notice, without all their hidden clauses. You can also send it confirmation mail so you have proof that they received it. Also, like many other reviews have stated, constumer service is rude and needs training.
Our property manager never answers the phone. If we need maintenance, the maintenance guy never answers his phone and it takes him weeks until he finally comes over.
I recently moved to the Columbus area and was in a quick hurry to find a place. Drove around and found a Honeycutt sign, made a call on a Saturday, Amber Morgan, a realtor for Honeycutt, got back to me on Sunday, walked through the house on Monday, had my place by Tuesday. Amber and Honeycutt made things super easy, super fast!
Honeycutt reality did NOT give us back a good amount of our deposit when we moved out. We scrubbed that house clean and we had one blind missing. They charged us a $175 cleaning fee and $107 for missing blinds. The blinds are super cheap to buy at Walmart, but we forgot to replace it when we left. Also when we first moved in there was a few things left in the garage and a huge pile of dead branches in our backyard. We will not rent from this company again.
My brother and I lived in a house for a year and we had nothing but good time with Huneycutt Reatlors. They were great and very kind. They listen to us and actually treated us with respect. My brother and I are young and many other realty companies judge us, but Huneycutt didn't. If I were to rent or buy a house in Clarksville or the surrounding area, I would go to Huneycutt 10 our 10 times first.
I have rented from huneycutt for the last three years while in college. Any problems that we have stumbled upon have been tended to in an appropriate and timely manner. Kudos to this realtor!
WORST!!!!!!!!! Saw a house spoke with an agent Saturday was told that he had personal things to handle could not show house on Sunday but to call first thing Monday. I asked what if it is rented by then he said no one can rent without seeing the property first. I called he scheduled a showing for the house on Wednesday said that was the first time someone could see it so we were first in line. Sent me a text today Tuesday to say sorry the property has been rented. WHAT!?! Now he will not event answer my text as to how this happened. WORST experience very upsetting no customer service skills STAY AWAY
This company is great! I have had horrible experiences with other companys but this one seems to be very different from the rest. they made my renting experience very easy and stress free. All of the ladies in the office were so nice and helpful towards me. i would definetly consider huneycutt realtors for all of your renting/property management needs!
Don't rent from them unless you like your complaints ignored and to have random rule changes in the middle of your lease. They will also hold your rent check until the middle of the month, and don't mail it to them cause they'll swear it didn't reach then until 6 days after you sent it. Definitely motivated to save for the end of current lease .
My experience with this company was a dissapointment. Extremely rude & unprofessional group. My realtor would tell us one thing but when we confronted her she would say something completely different & make us out to be liars. Our calls would be returned days later. Everytime we called to have something looked at or if we had questions, our realtor was extremely rude & not very helpful. I would highly recommend going through a different company, like I said, this company is filled with rude individuals & they are very cheap.
Very disorganized group of people. They do not communicate with eachother, and give mixed information to potentail clients. I realized I didn't want to have to deal with them for a lease term, and ended up not signing.
I have been working with Huneycutt Reators over the course of 12 years now. I first met them as a tenant and found them to be responsive and quick to help when I needed. The rental process was easy starting with a friendly real estate agent showing us properties around town, and then a quick stop to the office to sign paperwork to secure the home we had chosen. I now work with them regularly as a Realtor and find this side of the process equally smooth and friendly. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy or rent a home!
Don said we were approved for a house then he told us to pay a deposit and the application fee and that our home would be ready on the 6th of June. Then, after we got the money orders for deposit, rent and the application fee we got a phone call the next day from someone in the office saying if the VA can't do allotments then were denied and to come pick up our money orders which is very rude because the Va doesn't do allotments like active duty and how are you going to tell someone they are approved and then after we pay for everything going to say two days later they can't help us knowing we came all the way from Ohio and drove the entire way down there now I have to drive another 9 hours back down there to get the money orders and return them to Wal-Mart so I can get my money back its very disrespectful to all veterans....period...
They will lie and do anything they can to keep your money. Charge you for everything from a burnt out light bulb or a molding which had been clean they claimed needed to be redone, double charge on pet deposit. I know this sounds petty but it just keeps going on. Stay away from them far far away!
The reason this company has such low ratings is because they price gouge EVERYTHING. There is no way possible you may move out your house without them taking your whole security deposit and let me tell you why. They charged me $400 because my daughter painted a small section of the wall with crayon.( I offered to paint over) but that s against policy and here is why.... because you will save money fixing things on your own but they rather hire these Picasso painters. Also If you also have Camille Rae as a property manager goodluck! I turned in a clean house. But you screwed me over, I wonder how many more veterans or active duty SM you have screwed? I can take a look by looking at the reviews. Just wrong.
I highly recommend this company A+. I was a tenant under them, then bought a house using their realtor/broker service and for the last 3.5 yrs I m using them as my property manager . NO issues or complaints, always excellent service.
Filled out an application. Was told did not qualify (credit score was 20 points off). Called Beverly Deist and was basically told I could always apply again but there was no guarantee I would ever get approved. Was able to increase my score (according to my bank) by over 30 points. Refilled an application. Can only see where they pulled it the first time in my credit report but no subsequent times. Beverly Deist got snippy in an email and said my score only improved 4 points. Would love to see what they have but they "are not at liberty to show me the information" ad I would have to go through the credit bureau. Definitely not the friendliest of people.
If I could they would definitely get 0 stars!! These are the absolute WORST people you could ever rent from. Stay away they are toxic!! They will go into your house without you being home or calling to give you a heads up about it. They change rules on you constantly in the middle of a lease. They don t care about their tendants what s so ever. It s nearly impossible to get ahold of somebody. STAY AWAY!!!
We documented several issues with a rental house during a move-in inspection. We even took pictures. Upon move-out Huneycutt charged us for the issues even after we provided the move-in checklist signed by their son and pictures of all of the issues at move-in.
Before move out we considered staying another year. We sent an email to Huneycutt to ask the owner if they would consider reducing the rent if we made and documented improvements to the house. Over a month later with no response we decided to buy another house. Finally we were contacted saying the owner agreed. I responded that we had decided to move out because we did not receive a response. We had to make a decision. I received a very rude response that the owner was deployed and couldn't reply so it was my fault for not waiting for a reply over a month later!
I don't fault the owner. Deployed life is tough. But if Huneycutt would have let us know this fact we could have prepared appropriately. They didn't even acknowledge receipt of our email for over a month. As far as I knew they either didn't read our email or just trashed it.
If you are looking for a rental, I recommend staying away.
P.S. I'll also mention that on move-out you will suddenly be forced to sign new requirements like you must have the floors professionally cleaned, something we were never made aware of upon sign-up. Deceptive and unprofessional all the way down!
Sloppy, inconsistent, selectively responsive, passively rude, and generally unprofessional at property management. As a rental property owner, I would never go with them again. I don t know how often inspections occurred (not frequent enough), and they failed to discover or alert me to most areas of concern that I found out about later. The *best* I can say is that I had a mixed experience with Huneycutt over the years. I did not change management companies earlier because most of their industry in Clarksville was pretty miserable when I looked. I hope the newer property management companies in Clarksville are better, because you should go with one of them and NOT consider Huneycutt under any circumstances.
As an owner of a rental property managed by Huneycutt Realtors I have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. I normally don't take the time to review a company but in this case I had to speak up and say something after reading some of these reviews. I want to take a minute to defend Huneycutt and explain the other side of the property management. Huneycutt Realtors have managed my rental property since 2002. As an owner of a property Huneycutt will contact me at various times to notify me that the tenant has mentioned that a repair be made to my home. Most of the time I am okay with the tenant request and I go ahead and make the repair. I have at times flat out refused to pay to fix something in my home and Huneycutt had to tell the tenant no. This is not Huneycutt Realtors fault, this was my decision as the owner to not make the repair and they were the ones that had to deliver the news. I pay them each month to manage my property and to be the middle man between myself and the tenant and to handle any problems that arise. They do not own my home and they are not responsible for doing anything but doing their best to guarantee that my home not be destroyed by a tenant. They do not pay for any repairs made to the home. Each owner pays for 100% of the repairs and unfortunately some homeowners just don't have the money to make every repair a tenant requests. This is not Huneycutts fault, this is a lack of financial responsibility of the homeowner. I also would like to point out that inside of every rental contract it states that when you moved in the property you were being guaranteed door locks that no one else would have a key to because it was recently rekeyed. You are told upfront you will have to pay to rekey the property for the next person and that you will pay to clean the carpet. If more people would actually read the document they sign before signing it there would be less complaining in the world. And finally I feel compelled to add that it seems that some people think that when they rent a property it means that they don't have to be responsible adults and take care of their home.....AT ALL! Some think they can disrespect another's property just because they are paying a payment to live there. I guess I am old school and was raised to treat someone else's property better than I would my own.
I am sure at some point someone reading this is going to think I work for Huneycutt so I will go ahead and address that right now. I currently do not work for Huneycutt Realtors. I did work there for four years before leaving for my current job which I have been with for 14 years. I have never worked in the property management department there but I watched what was really going on and more than half the time the tenant was at fault and not willing to take responsibility for their own error. So I hope when people read all of these bad reviews they will also take into account that most of the time it isn't Huneycutts problem directly and it might be the owner they represent problem. I often say you don't get to pick your clients but you have to do your best to represent your client the best you can.
BLUF: This company deliberately and methodically takes advantage of service members PCSing from Ft. Campbell. They use intimidation and lies during the move out inspection to steal your deposit and in some cases even send you a bill. Stay away!
Hunnycutt Realtors helped to create a very convenient experience while renting my home. When my A/C stopped working, they sent a repairman same day. When my dishwasher stopped working, they replaced. They were always flexible and friendly. Lastly, the rentwas very reasonable. Highly recommended.
Mr. Audrey Roberts help us buy forever home a year ago. Now he helping us sell our starter home at higher price we never dreamed where only on market 4 days and now we under contract.
This was our first Realtor that we decided to try upon our arrival to the fort campbell area. They immediately wanted to run our credit before even viewing a home and then proceeded to tell us we only qualified for a $900 home when our BAH was double that. They were no help what so ever, I was very disappointed with the realtor we spoke with as she seem to be on cloud 9.. Needless to say we left there feeling defeated but did not give up, we went to another realtor right after leaving honeycutt and was not asked to run credit until we found a home we liked. And wouldn't you say we found a $1450 home in our budget and we love it! Steer clear of running your credit before seeing the merchandise they based ours on how much money we had to pay on other bills which their numbers were incorrect. Our bills have nothing to do with our BAH but their loss we gained..
I rented a place for about 3 years and was never late with my rent, I kept the place clean, and it was not clean when I moved in. I cleaned when I left and there was no damage other than "normal" wear and tear. When I decided to move and sent them a written notification they said I was suppose to physically come to their office, so they refused to refund my deposit.
Horrible experience. When I did a walk through with the property manager I showed repairs that needed fix and they still haven't been. Because of that we had a water leak tonight that leaked into the dry wall. When we called the emergency phone line we had to call in four times just to get someone on the line. Once we spoke to her she told us they couldn't send someone out tonight so we had to solve the problem ourselves ( our plastic water shut off valve wasn't working either).
Was needing a home for my son and 2 friends for college. Huneycutt was great from the get go! I am not close but Julie made everything so simple via email. What small repairs, and dishwasher replaced was done in a timely manner. Payment was easy via app. Overall Julie was great as our agent/rep.
Kathy DePriest was our realtor and is absolutely the best. When you work with Kathy you sit back and she takes care of everything. Very thorough and professional. Makes sure all the details are worked out and let's nothing slip through the cracks. She is always available for any questions or concerns. We built our house with Kathy's guidance and eventually sold it with her as well so we've been on both sides. Huneycutt Realtors are a top notch outfit for all your real estate needs. Thanks again Kathy!!
We used Huneycutt Property Management for nearly a decade. They offer excellent customer service! We were very happy with their ability to have staff members readily available to quickly and reasonably make any necessary repairs. They have excellent software to help us track expenses and payments. As we worked to sell the property, Huneycutt was there to help us get the property ready to put on the market. Their keen ability to predict the housing market resulted in three offers in less than six hours. I would highly recommend Huneycutt for all of your real estate needs.
They were nice when we first moved into our place but since we started to move out they have been extremely rude to me and my wife, and you will never get your full deposit back they will take $150 for cleaning the carpet no matter what, and up to $100 for an individual hole on one wall. Do not rent from them they are very disrespectful and rude.
I rented through Huneycutt for 3 1/2 years and i was very happy from the beginning. My wife and i were shown around within a day all the houses that meet our criteria and within days we were in our new home. They made the process so easy and have a website for lease payments. I only moved because i got orders from the Military once more but Tina made the whole process as easy as day one. She even followed up after i moved to make sure i would receive my deposit . I definitely recommend Huneycutt Realtors and would rent through them again.
WORST COMPANY EVER!!!! If you want to rent a house DO NOT CALL THESE PEOPLE!! The staff is extremely rude. i spoke to multiple people every time i called. I did speak with Beverly and she was RUDE!! didn't want to help. She made it sound like i was bothering her by calling and wanting her to do her job. I was Transferred to Tammy and she was OK she did try and help a little but not very much. This companies polices are insane. They basically think everything you tell them is a LIE. They are NOT MILITARY FRIENDLY. SO BEWARE if you are moving from another state and are looking for a house. I found a much nicer house with another company! Huneycutt Realtors should really look into all the terrible reviews and starting thinking about their business. And please don't respond to this saying you strive for good customer service because obviously you don't!!
I am not quite sure why I did not read the reviews before utilizing this company; extremely poor decision on my part. I WILL NOT use this company again for future property management needs.
It took a lot for me to be professional to Sharon, who can be quite rude and unprofessional. I resorted to only emailing this company because I did not want to act out of character.
Without going into detail, I will just say, read the reviews; save yourself the headache and do your research before doing any business with this company.
Everyone here is amazing. They go above and beyond to make sure your needs are met. Huneycutt is highly known and recommend in the Clarksville, Fort Campbell and surrounding cities.
I've written a long review after this horrible company ripped me off in the past when i rented with them. I just had a flash back today to them being my worst company to work with so just wanted to share the reminder. DO NOT RENT/BUY FROM THIS COMPANY! Long story short. They screwed me over, boss stood behind them not getting a huge oak removed from the yard as promised, not steam cleaning the house at move in but charging me for it when I moved out, mess of a house and the list goes on. Then to call me a liar to Better business bureau (BBB) when I had to ask them to step in because they just said they would pull what ever they like from my despoit. In which they did. They are known for their $HITty business practices here and BBB so consider yourself warned. Or be ready to make some new enemies and lose money, time, etc.
