Found a lost puppy and they wanted me to pay to for finding him unbelievable
I went to see the cats and dogs I fell in love with some of them
Adopted a cat and they said she was up to date on her shots. Well, look over her paper work on my way home and she didn't have her rabies record nor a number. Nothing.
Newly renovated and amazing. We came here just to look and found a Buddy. The volunteers abs staff were incredibly kind and polite to us. The adoption process is quick and easy.
I think it's bull poop I had to pay $45 to give up my dog for adoption. I was already in tears that couldn't keep him with my living arrangements. What if someone doesn't have that $45? Which I'm sure happens a lot. So they dump the dogs out in. The wild? Pretty crummy!!
The one on Roger Rd. People there are awesome. Really helpful
They handled our dog Angel with upmost respect when it was time to say goodbye.
Very caring people there. The orphan cats looked well cared for. We went to the 3450 North Kelvin Blvd Tucson first. We didn't find a cat that would be right for us. The employee there called their other two locations and found out what cats they had available. We went to PAWSH Adoption Center at 2905 East Skyline Drive TUCSON in the LA Encantada Shopping Centre. We found our kitty to adopt. Very very nice folks at both locations. The PAWSH location is a small pet store also. Adopt your next pet very informed employees
They have a cool place for the animals and foster care so the pets aren't stuck in their rooms.
The staff are all so professional and love the animals
Went to get application for discount services due to low income. Very caring staff. Great place for the community.
Lynn was extremely helpful and spent half the day helping me find my new best friend. All the staff (volunteers) I interacted with were wonderful. Thank you so much HSSA
It's an amazing place to adopt a pet from. We love our fur baby!
The cat that we adopted is very comfortable in our home the staff was wonderful we have named their baby girl Luna
The new facility is gorgeous and so much better than the old one
Love their cause. And I am very proactive withing the animal community. I rescue animals of all sorts. And have used the humane society for many things over the years.I will say they are not the best with major procedures I believe partly due to the fact that they are so rushed and over crowded that they just dont get the time to really just slow down and focus. We took our dog in to be spayed because they were very affordable with their low cost clinic, and she came home paralyzed! Long story short- they caused it somehow during her procedure of which we talked about and they ahreed to help her- up until it became overwhelming for them and expensive to continue helping us so they suddenly pulled out claiming no responsibility . we went back and forth over it for a while until we were at a loss. We have since paid a lot of money to get our dog help no thanks to the humane society. So needless to say for that we'll never use them for any operations again. Sad really bcs I wasn't looking for any blame I just needed help to get her better after they acknowledged to accidently harming her, I wasn't even exactly mad about the injury because I recognized their human and mistakes happen as long as you do everything you can to correct that mistake. They chose not to. Which to me is low. How can you just leave a dog injured knowing you caused it and refuse to help. All because of fear of legal ramifications was my guess. I been was willing to sign a privacy clause where I wouldnt talk about it etc. I tried everything. They acknowledged to me in the beginning they made a mistake and listed off the possibilities of how it could have happened. they should have done the right thing from that point on.
Without them many dogs would not have a good life. Very nice staff.
They did a great job taking care of my dog (neutering).
This is a clean and beautiful facility. The animals are well taken care of. They have programs in place to make sure the animals are paired with the right family to get their "furever" home?
This place is a rip off i found 3 kittens that were 3 weeks old underneath my friends trailer and 2 of them were sick and i took them to this place and they werent going to take them unless i pay 75 dollars what kind of place charges for somebody to bring in sick and helpless animals then one lady had the oddacitiy to twll me the kitten i wanted to keep was going to get just as bad as her litter mats and theyll take her too for the 75 dollars and i told her more the 3 times i wanted to keep this one and she still inseted that i pay 75 for her to take all 3 kittens so i took then to the animale shelters on sliver bell and they were a lot more helpfull then this place the kitten i kept is nice and heathy and a lil ball of playfulness her litter mates got the help and care they deserve all thanks to the animal shelter on sliverbell i wouldnt go back to this place even if someone payed me and im only giveing then 2 stars because it is a animals shelter a shady one but one al the less
They perform the heartworm tests but WILL not authorize meds outside of what they sell. Just take the results to your vet and get approval for the prescriptions in another forum, cheaper.
Went to the vaccination clinic. Everyone was very friendly, informative and helpful. Be prepared for a wait. New facility looks very nice!
They are so good at the HSSA. I had to take my dog there. I couldn't keep her anymore
They made the whole process easy.
Girl was very rude in back office area, everyone else was nice. 2 stars because lady was VERY rude.
Love the focus they maintain on their mission to find homes for animals!
They try really hard to place animals in good homes. Unfortunately they are in need of volunteers and donations. I am setting up my Amazon Smile account so proceeds of my purchases will go to them to help care for the animals.
Nice clean place, we adopted a beautiful, loving dog
I've had my cat for 6 months now and am so happy of the experience the humane society offered me with my adoption
The Humane Society of Southern Arizona gets in so many pets and strays. All the workers are so friendly. They work so hard. So many animals go through that shelter. They have a wonderful Spay and Neuter Clinic. Sometime of the year you can even get Nueter for nothing. They take donations . They have educational materials. Please support them with volunteering or financially. 0 kill shelter would be ideal but we can't do that until people start spay and neutering their animals. Too many pets not enough homes in the area.
Too much red tape for help for sick pet on low income
Inexpensive vaccinations for your pets done twice a week. Low cost spay and neuter.
Helpful staff made it a very painless adoption visit.
A great experience. I have never fallen for two amazing pets faster then I fell for Sadie and Pepper. Getting them is one of the greatest things that I have been a part of. Recommend that you search your heart for a little love for something bigger then oneself. Rest assured. The pets you help will be better off for it. So will you friend. So will you.
Clean place and thay care about furry little friends here.
This place seems to make it harder to adopt an animal than it has to be.The people always seem like they have something else they want to be doing. And if you ever call you'll never get a human on the line
I took both my cats in to be fixed, one female, the other male. When I came to pick them up , they told me the male was very sick.Instead of calling me to inform me of the illness they went ahead and did the procedure. I had to watch my cat get very I'll and crippled, it was horrible. They didn't suggest any medics or how I could help him. Just heartbteaking
I was wondering how I could get information on a dog that has been already adopted. I know they wont really give me anything but a few months ago my husband had to give up this dog he originally adopted and it crushed him beyond belief he still crys and talks about him alot. I will pay any amount to get the chance to talk to the people that adopted him and pay money for him. My husband needs him after the army. I pray that I can reunite them again but I dont even know if thats possible or not? Please if you could help it would really show me kindness. We adopted him from park place mall humane society and his name is Bruno he is a terrier mix. If not I completely understand :(
Awesome shot clinic and $20 to microchip your pet! Good service and good value
My dogs name wasn t renner. It was prince.. thank you for a heart broken family .
Original visit didn t go as planned but they made it right and had me come back. The facility is very big and very clean. Access is pretty restricted right now due to COVID so make sure you make an appointment.
Outstanding. Very nice physical plant, well organized, caring.
That is where I take my pets for vaccinations, but are moving closer to home. On w Roger rd. since I live in agra valley.
Hope they can try to clean better. But well they have a lot on their hands. I've seen cleaner humane societies though. Great workers in Cat room!
I found a stray poodle by my apartment been feeding it for two days left two voicemails at your office to get him picked up or i can drop him off. I can't keep him. Don't have money for pet fees. He looks like he's been out in the streets for awhile. What do i do??
I got a pit bull from here and loveee her so much !
Love this place get free dog and cat food on the first Sunday of every month even cat litter.
Adopted another kitty. Great team there allowed me time to decide who was best fit for me
We have had three of our pets neutered /spayed here. All the animals were fine. Our 20 year old dog was creamated here, and we have brought a couple of strays in for neuter / spay under trap and release.
Staff is friendly and animals all seem to be doing great
Jewelry fell apart had to exchange instead of cash back
They helped me board my pets when I needed help at a very hard time. They were completely friendly and very helpful. I can say that if I need help with my pets again, I know I can feel comfortable taken my pets their for future check ups.
The staff seemed like they wanted to help at first but then would not let us take either dog that seemed sweet out to the yard. The first dog they did not know how he behaved with children so they told us no but I think we could have worked something out where we just brought 1 kid with us to see. The second dog was a girl pitbull and they said since we already have a girl dog we couldn't take her.(since when is there a policy that says girl pitbulls can't be around other girls every dog is different) I told them that we just wanted to take her out and see how she was but they said since we couldn't adopt her we couldn't. How can we even decide if a dog will be good for our family if we can't even take them out to pet? We were just looking and showing our kids how many dogs need homes and left feeling very unwelcome.
Worked here for 11 months. Everyone here truly cares about the animals.
Very clean cat area and helpful staff. Adopted my kitty here November 2018 and they gave me a very discounted rate. I go back here a lot to buy toys for him. The shelter staff always remembers him and I show them the kitty pics on my phone. :) Good job HSSA
Low cost feline spay and vaccinations, smart waiting room management with dogs and cats
I was helping a friend get rid of a deceased cat. It was real close to our area. The lady that helped us was very nice, and we didn't have to get out of the car. It turned out being way easier than I thought it would be. Note the price for their services was $65
New facility is amazing! We went as a class and toured , then read to the dogs for a half hour! My high school students really enjoyed themselves. Nice gift shop too!
Had my dog spayed. They took good care of her, and the staff were very nice.
Amazing organization. I try to donate regularly, they are worth it. The staff goes way beyond a typical shelter. Adopt don't buy!
I got my first cat from them last week and I can't be happier. Everyone I dealt with was extremely helpful and fantastic! Overall a great experience. Too bad so many people are heartless and give up their animals, but I'm glad I got my cat. He's wonderful!
It's a great place to Adopt a new pet and Give Them a New Forever Family in Their New Forever Home.
It would be best to call them first instead of just stopping by. They have new policies in affect because of COVID. You can also visit their website.
I always have the greatest experience here, never met a rude staff member. Everyone is always willing to help and try to find you the perfect pet.
Amazing place, so clean and warm surrounded by lots of love for all the animals. We love our new family addition
Clean environment for the animals staff was friendly a lot of aggressive dogs it seemed in the Kennels
